SAP is not coming up after system refresh with Export/Import option

Hi,
I have exported Java 6.40 and finished the refresh successfully. And I imported the Java successfully. After importing Java, I restarted SAP but is not coming up. When I checked the dev_w0 trace file, I got the following information.

  • Jave is not coming up after SID refresh where as ABAP is Up

Recently I completed system refresh for Solution Manager 4.0 with DB SQL Server 2005 on Duel stack and Java is not coming up after SID refresh where as ABAP is Up.
Please advise where to check as i check Disp log and Java Dispatcher is not coming up and giving error DB connection.
    Thanks

How did you do the refresh? What method, export with SAPINST(both ABAP and Java)?
Post the DB connection error you are getting.
    Can you connect to configtool?

  • SAP is not coming up after installing Java Add-in

    Hi,
I have installed a Java Add-in for an existing ABAP system. At the stage of "start J2EE engine" it is throwing an error message saying that Java is not coming up after 1142 seconds. I checked config tool and it is working fine. I restarted SAP. After restarting SAP, SAP is coming up and after 1 or 2 mins the disp+work is getting stopped and all the work processes are getting died. I couldn't able to understand & resolve the issue. The system is NetWeave 04. Here is the dev_w0 trace information.

  • Laptop not coming up after PC refresh

    Hi,
My Laptop was not connecting to N/W, so did the PC refresh. After PC refresh is started Blinking and never came up. I did hard reboot but no success. Please advise how to recover my laptop without losing my data. It would be of great help.
Please advise if any solution or How can i reach support team. I have registered my Product with HP but now my details are not there and it say my actual mail not found, However i do have registration confirmation mail with me.
Please help appreciate your help on this.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi there @yspylp
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you are getting a flashing code error and that you are understandably concerned about your data.
I am happy to assist you.
Firstly I would recommend that you try to backup your data to an external device before doing anything else. This page shows a few methods you can try.
How to Recover Data from the Hard Drive of a Dead Laptop -wikiHow.com
Once your data is safely backed up, you can try calling in to technical phone support at 800-474-6836. If you live outside the US/Canada Region, please click the link below to get the support number for your region.
    http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-phone-assist.html
The other option would be to post some more details about what you are seeing on your computer, the flash codes you are getting can help identify the source of the problem.
Computer does not start and the LEDs blink or the computer beeps
Depending on the the error code you are getting, you may be able to address the problem yourself, but if it suggests a board problem then you will definitely need to call phone support.

  • System copy with Export/Import Distribyted system UNIX database, Windows CI

    HI
we have a distributed system witch I want to make a copy of
    Oracle Database on HP-UX
    CI + SCS on Windows
    Dual stack system  ABAP/Java
    1)  I have made an system copy with data base copy tools, and that works fine.
    2)  I have made a system copy export/import of a "central system"
If I try to make an export/import system copy on a distributed system it wont work.
( this work fine in a central system) I dont get anny error messages all gren checks marks !
It seems like the problem are in not finding the profiles from CI ?
It find the profiles for the sapgateway.
I someone are more interested I have more documentation with screen shots in a word document.
I Have used Installation Master SR3 and tryed with some older versions as well.
    I have read SAP Note 970518 - Hom./Het.System Copy SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) SR2
    SAPINST
Using virtual hosts for central and/or DB instances
    SYMPTOM:
You are using virtual host names for your central instance and/or the database instance (e.g. in a HA environment). Although SAPinst finishes successfully, some export steps are not being performed.
    SOLUTION:
Start the export with the property SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME=<virtual host>.
If the central instance and the database instance run on different hosts, run the database export with SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME=<virtual host name of the DB server> and - if you run a Java or ABAP+Java system - run the central instance export with SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME=<virtual host nameof the central instance host>.
If you run a central system with different host names in the profiles, handle the export as a distributed export, calling SAPinst with parameter SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME. Perform the export of the database instance on the DB server, calling SAPinst with SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME=<virtual host of the DB server>.

Hi I have received folloving answer from SAP:
You're doing everything correct - besides one thing.
When you specify the profiles during the database export it cannot be
correct to specify the profiles of the gateway instance located on
    the same host.
As a consequence - it picks up the wrong instance G01 and sets the
property 'hasABAP' and 'hasJava' to 'false'...  - thus the export
is empty. You can see this within the corresponding 'sapinst.log' file.
The correct procedure would be to specify the profiles of the central
instance on the Windows Machine. If you cannot access them, you should
make them available by Samba or by any type of software which makes
it's possible to export filesystems or directories from windows to
    unix.
    Best regards
    Bent

    Hi Nisar,
We would like to implement the data guard , the system landscapes are also similar to your site. Can u pls give me the documentation which explains step by step configuration. We are not able to activate oracle enterprise manager where the configuration is slightly simple. Is it possible to have the primary and standy database with same db_name?. Pls help to proceed further.

  • SAP License issue after system refresh.

    Hi,
After system refresh, refreshed system has License info of source system. When trying to apply license from unix, it gives below error, saying system number is incorrect to apply new license. Looks the system number of source system is causing issue. I checked, there is no data in MLICHECK table. I could see some info in "saplikey" table. System is 700 system.
    sidadm> saplikey -install "/home/SID/sid_multiple.txt pf=/usr/sap/SID/SYS/profile/SID_DVEBMGS01_sapsidci
This system's system number is "000000000710287641", but there is a license key
for system number "000000000711311441" in file "/home/SID/sid_multiple.txt".
    sidadm>
    Thanks.

First check whether you have deleted all invalid licenses?
use below command to delete invalid licenses
    sidadm>saplicense -delete
And apply new license based on new hardwarekey with below command
    sidadm>saplicense -install
*I think there should be some invalid licenses lying in your system

  • Logical System Conversion after system refresh failed

    Hello,
Logical System Conversion after system refresh couldn't complete as the printer was locked. This job was run in the background. In SM37, the  job log of RBDLSMAP shows as job finished, but it took only 40 seconds. Now I see that the logical system got changed(Converted) in the client settings scc4 but I know that this client being a production client and would run for couple of hours. Here is the job log information.
    02/18/2009 16:09:33 Job started                                                                     00           516          S
    02/18/2009 16:09:33 Step 001 started (program RBDLSMAP, variant &0000000000000, user ID ABCD)      00           550          S
02/18/2009 16:09:33 Output device PRN1 is locked in the SAP system                                  PO           349          I
    02/18/2009 16:10:19 Job finished                                                                    00           517          S
When try to rerun bdls again, it shows that it is already available and it says "The new logical system name is already assigned to the current client".
    Any suggestions on this?
    Thanks,
    Mahesh

    Hi ,
Rerun the BDLS again as this took very little time.
When you try to run again it popsup message saying it already exists just delete that and again put the Logical system name and run it will run that time.
May be while scheduling the job you gave for spool I am not sure why is it looking for Printer which is locked.
    Thanks.

  • Java Dispatcher Down but Server0 and SDM up after system refresh

    Hello,
I have done system refresh from PRD to QAS of CRM system - dual stack.Once after the system refresh ABAP is up and running fine but Java is down (Only Dispatcher is down. Both SDM and Server0 are running fine).
I have followed Note 609603 - Problems with Multiple NICs and SAP J2EE Engine and have given the correct host name but the no luck..
    std_dispatcher.out says the following error:
Cannot attach to the Message Server. Can't open port [3925] on host [<Source Host Name>/Source IP Address].
Could you please let me know if I need to do any changes in the Config tool?
    Thanks,
    Subbu

    HI,
IN DB restore the hostname of java system stored in profiles would be your PRD.
Go to Configtool in Edit mode -- cluster --> change the hostnames in Instance profile -- and under other files like bootstrap etc whereever you find PRD hostname.
And otherwise for JAVA system you should use export/import option.
    Regards,
    Tajinder

  • Portal down after system refresh

    Hello all,
We have done a system refresh for QAS from PROD for BI with export import of the backup into test. Everything was ok and refreshed BI is working fine but the SAP BI PORTAL is down. Nothing it is working. I can`t acces the link of the portal nor the visual admin nor configtool. Can you help us making the test working. I know a solution of reinstalling the portal with sapinst but i do not belive that this is the only solution.
The Test Portal have nothing changed. It is the same like it was but the BIT has changed a lot. Can anybody give some ideas how to make it work?
I give you some information found in logs:

So i have open both files services / hosts.. and everything seems to be ok. On services i found
    sapgw11       3311/tcp      # SAP System Gateway Port
The servers are AIX and the DB si Oracle. Nobody changed these files for more than 2 years and before refresh oh QAS the portal worked just fine. Practically the problem is that there is no connection between BI TST and TST portal. Nothing even at unix level. I think the problem is soewhere between DB and portal.. because he can`t find any connection.

  • After System Refresh Variants missing

    Hi,
We have used Export / Import method to build QAS system from production
    ABAP export file.
After System refresh we got the same Production client with all
configurations, Variants, Object including data.. Which is Perfect.
But, as per our business we don't want to use the same production
client number in Quality System., so we done Cliet Copy to copy to
different client (ex: Client 200) using SAP_ALL profile.
Question: But after client copy we found that some Data, Objects,
Variants are missing in the new client (200).
Ex: In Client 100 (Copy of production client) table T009 is having 10
entries, but after client copy in client 200 the same table doesn't have any
entry in that including standard and Z.
Please help me on this, how do I get clone / copy of 100 client
    (original client)
    Thank You,
    Ramesh

    Hi Ramesh,
Looks like your client copy didn't bring all the data and Objects, Did you checked logs, Is there any error message ? The client copy completed with all the tables ?
You can try Remote client copy method .
You can manually export the variants from the source client to Target client and you need to export the Variants from the table VARID, VARI, VARIT and VARIS.
You can use the below forum procedure to export and import variants.
how to export RFC destination to file in order to import it in an other sys
Since, not only the variants you are missing data and Objects, I would suggest for re-copy the client.

    Arjun

  • Message Not coming to XI system

    Hello,
Am Facing an issue in Production XI system. The issue is in File to RFC Interface, which is running on Daily basis, there is a daily job to Place the File on FTP server. The Problem is File is Picking by XI and File also archived in Archive directory, but Message not coming to XI system.I have checked in MONI and Sender communication channel, but not able to see any messages. The File Format is CSV,used FCC in sender channel.
Kindly help me to solve this problem,
    Thanks,
    Madhu

    Hi Madhu
Please check the communication channel in RWB and see the channel is in error or not.
The channel should show some logs including message id.
Next check the RWB-->message monitoring-->adapter engine
The message could have failed there and hence does not present in MONI.
Finally make sure that none of other communication channels are polling in that same server.
In non-prod environment we some times use the same server credential for DEV and QA.
So if that is the case , then please deactivate the other channel so that you get the message in desired environment.

  • IDOC in 03 staus but not coming to PI system..

    Hi Experts,
I am working on IDOC to IDOC scenario. All of the IDOCs are in 03 status in R/3 system but some of the IDOCs are not coming to PI system.I checked SM58 also but its fine.
Should it be in 12 staus?
Is it possible that IDOC in status 03 can reach to the target system?
    Please reply it asap.Its urgent.
    Regards,
    Vikram

    Hi Vikram,
First of all, bd75 is only for status conversion. This means, that only IDoc statuses are changed, based on the status of the RFC call. IDocs are not despatched again by this transaction.
Secondly, you might want to check the EDI Port that is assigned in the partner profile, if it is pointing to the correct target system.
Finally, if target system is OK and you don't find anything in sm58 in sender system, then you should go to smq2 in PI and you should find your IDocs there, waiting in a blocked queue.
    Hope this helps,
    Greg
