SAP ISU UCES - Utility Customer E-services
Hi Folks,
We are using CRM IC Webclient and UCES for a SAP ISU and CRM implementation for a utility company. I have following queries to start with.
1. I understand that UCES works on Java/JSP and can work standalone as well as via EP. Please share documentation as to how to get UCES up and running in both scenarios.
2. There are certain things which can be done via CRM IC Webclient as well e.g Move-in and Move-out. How would this be different from UCES apart from the fact that it is being created by the customer service agent in the former and by the customer in the later.
3. Is there a cookbook for development/configuration for UCES ? If so please share.
Thanks ahead,
Regards,
Yuvaraj

Getting error while connecting Utility Customer E-Services
I am getting the following error while connecting to Utility Customer E-Services through the browser.
Error: Your user master has not been created correctly. Contact your system administrator.
Please advise some fix for this problem.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
NitinHi Mattia,
yes, I had resolved this problem. It requires some configuration in ume database of the WebAS, where UCES application is hosted.
1) Create a user in ume.
2) Assign group "Everyone" and "Authenticated Users" to the user
3) Within Customized Information tab, create the mapping between your web user, reference user and business partner.
fscm_refuser: Use reference user id. ( user id to login to ISU system )
objtype_0: BUS1006
objkey_0: User business partner details ( business partner number in ISU)
If there is no customized Information tab, then open visual administrator and do the following.
1) Navigate to Services->Configuration Adapter
2) Click on Runtime tab -> Display configuration
3) Navigate to cluster_data -> server -> cfg -> services -> Propertysheet com.sap.security.core.ume.service
4) Add the following in ume.admin.addattrs.
com.sap.security.core.user.refuser:fscm_refuser;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_0;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_0;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_1;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_1;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_2;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_2;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_3;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_3;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_4;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_4;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_5;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_5;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_6;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_6;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_7;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_7;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_8;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_8;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_9;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_9;com.sap.security.core.useces:objtype_10;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_10;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_11;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_11;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_12;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_12;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_13;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_13;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_14;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_14;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_15;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_15;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_16;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_16;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_17;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_17;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_18;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_18;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objtype_19;com.sap.security.core.user.references:objkey_19;

Connecting Utility Customer E-Services with contract account
Hello,
We installed UCES 6.0.
Today we use partners (BUS1006) as objtype_0 to connect different user.
Does anybody know if it's possible to use contract account (ISUACCOUNT ?) to connect a user for one of his contract account and not all of them ?
Regards,
BrunoBruno,
to link a contract directly to a user account, you put "CA_VREF_GP" in the objtype field and BP#(10) + C#(20) in the objkey field.
Let me knwo if that works for you too.
Thanks,

Can UCES be implemented SAP ISU 4.72
Hi Guys,
We have a requirement to implement SAP ISU 4.72. Please let me know if this is feasible.Hi Vikrant,
You need industry release 6.00 (ERP 2005), please see the requirement from Service Marketplace:
http://service.sap.com/utilities
-> SAP for Utilities - Product Information
-> SAP Utility Customer E-Services
-> UCES Documentation ("SAP Utility Customer E-Services 6.0 - Installation Guide")
"To install SAP Utility Customer E-Services you must first have installed the IS-U/CCS component of the SAP for Utilities industry solution. The software components IS-U/CCS, from the industry solution SAP for Utilities Release ERP 2005, SAP Web Application Server 7.00 and SAP Utility Customer E-Services 6.0 are required."

Customer Self Service via SAP Internet Sales
This is my first time posting on the SDN, so please forgive my ignorance if this is in the wrong place. We at Bentley have taken on the massive task of implementing a customer self service solution replacing our Siebel installation. We are still mapping out how things will work and how it will be architected, but wanted to know if anyone in the community has any white papers on how the security architecture is supposed to look. Here is our challenges:
1. Utilizing multiple info sources including BW (for reporting), CRM (for customer information and sales placement), R/3 (for invoice queries), and many .NET applications.
2. Supporting over 300k contacts each with a desire to maintain their own user base.
3. Currently utilizing the portal.
Again, we are trying to integrate all above to provide a solid solution for our customers. SAP Internet Sales looks like a viable option, but that obviously would require a user master record in each SAP system (300k in each?) to support the hierarchy above for reporting, queries, and data entry.
Has anyone else in the community successfully implemented a similiar solution, and if so.. Would you be willing to share some ideas with us?
Many Kind Regards,
Wayne Miller

Bentley Systems, Inc.Thanks!
Looking at your profile, I assume you may be able to help. I have Portal connected to my ECC system. We have loaded the latest UCES on the portal and configured XCM. Restarted the J2EE system. Everything seems to be ok, as I can do the connection tests from Portal (JCO) and ECC (RFC).
When i launch the page - http://portal.com:50000/bdisu - i get the following error -
A general problem has occurred within the logon. The error message is: .
I dont know how to fix it. I created a message with SAP and they said some config need to be done on the backend, while the functional guys are not aware of any. Can you please guide me to fix this error? -
Implementing UCES in SAP ISU- IDES system
Hi,
We are interested to implement UCES in SAP ISU - IDES system which we have for our internal competency and Customer POCs/Demos. ( ECC 6 with ISU)
Could any body please share their experience or knowledge on this, that would be of very helpfull.
Many Thanks
RajaHi,
There is something called UCES - Biller Direct where is there is an Interaction Between SAP Biller Direct and Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable.
Purpose:You should use SAP Biller Direct if you want to present information about customer accounts in your Internet portal and offer your customers the option of paying bills or of creating inquiries and complaints via the Internet.
Implementation Considerations : Your customer does not need to install any SAP software to be able to use SAP Biller Direct. All functions can be carried out using a standard Web browser.
Information on the necessary system requirements and the browsers supported by SAP Biller Direct can be found in the introductory sections of the installation guide.
SAP Biller Direct consists of an application based on JavaServer Pages. The accounting system runs on a standard application server and is used as the back end for SAP Biller Direct. The transfer of data between the front end and back end is done by RFC and is ensured using the SAP Java Connector (JCO), which you install as part of the SAP middleware.
Award points if this is found useful. -

Hi Seniors/ Experts
I am currently working as a resource in SAP ISU in a Production Support project for a Utility company in UK in Device Management Module for Capgemini.
Let me start from the beggining.
I Got tagged into SAP ISU Project, trained on all modules of ISU ( very tiring training 9.30am to 6pm ).
Initially ,I just got a small idea of what SAP ISU is ..then I was tagged to the support project and start working in Device Management Team from Nov 2012.
What we do in the Project ? We receive Tickets ( Incidents ) in a tool called Service-now where we have to analyse the issue in SAP system and resolve it according to technical and functional skills which one have .Initially ,I was very much confused of Tcodes and how to resolve these tickets . i worked with my senior. He guided me a lot in them. Mostly we face Standard ISU Errors Data issues while trying to Bill the Account ,So we analyse them and solve them. Sometimes we also get device timeslice errors. Thus, we mostly use Standard Fucntion modules to enter reads and bill the account .So I have got a zist on Satndard Tables & Fm's related to SAP ISU Dm module. Also, I have little idea on move-in move-out tables.
We have been resolving the same issues since 1.5 yrs and there is nothing much to learn in
Its just 1.5 yrs I am in this project .So , my Total Exp = 2.5 yrs.
My Question :
Please explain me how shall I grow in SAP ISU market as Device Managment Consultant.
Explain me All :
How shall I grow as a technical consultant in SAP ISU , as a Fucntional consultant or as a Techno-fucntional ?
I have heard that SAP ISU is a Techno-fucntional module, Is it true ? does every SAP ISU resource must know technical as well as functional knowledge ?
If not , How to grow career only as SAP ISU Functional ?
According to my analysis , I am both technical and fucntional ...OR none of them Feels as if I know nothing. Please guide me on what to pursue in SAP ISU Device maangement as I can see my seniors are both technical and functional, I always get scarred of them When I compare myself to them
In Short , Please explain what is the Career Ladder in SAP ISU Device management .
Enough !! I have written so muchHi Chiranjib ,
You are right .SAP IS-U module is a techno-functional module and it is required to everybody to learn both technical as well as functional .In support project ,You can learn the full functionality and can check end to end solution for that process .Try to know all the T code and tables for IS-U module .ISU master data is very important .UK industry is very complex compare to other country.
Thanks ,

SAP ISU BP Contact - CRM Activity - CRM IC Interaction record
Hi All -
I have a cookbook which talks about migrating SAP ISU BP Contacts into CRM Activity.
Now, my question is if I do this, will this show up as a interaction record against the customer in the IC WebClient in CRM?
We are considering a design where billing supervisors will enter a BP Contact in ISU when customers directly call them about a bill. Later, if this customer calls the Cust Service Rep, we want this interaction to be visible to the CSR who will only use the CRM Webclient.
So, I guess indirectly my question is,
"Is a CRM Activity the same as an CRM WebClient Interaction record"?
or
"Is a CRM WebClient Interaction record a type of CRM Activity"?
Thanks in advance for taking your time to answer this.
Regards,
Pradhip.SHello Pradhip,
the CRM IC Interaction Record is technically a CRM Activity with a certain transaction type. You can configure the replication of IS-U Contacts that the created activity is shown in the Interaction Center as Interaction Record. So you will be able to see the IS-U Contacts created in ERP - for example within a Front Office Process - in CRM as replicated Interaction Records.
Kind regards,
Christian -

Hello Experts,
We are still configuring our XI in a RFC-XI-SOAP Scenario. We did all the Interface- and Message- Mapping, we configured our Business System and Business Services. But if we send a message from our R/3 4.6c system to the Web Service via the XI, we receive the following error messages: MP: exception caught with cause com.sap.aii.messaging.util.URI$MalformedURIException: no scheme. The error appears in the SOAP Adapter together with a com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException with the message no scheme.
Does anyone know, why this error appears? What can we do to avoid this error?
Thanks for the answer! I appreciate every kind of answer.
Im looking forward to read your answers.
Best Regards
PhilippHello Bhavesh,
after we have checked the SOAP Receiver, we got the following exception:
<i>ErrorCode: GENERAL ErrorText: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: Connection timed out: connect</i>.
Does this error show that we are through with our customizing?? Or is this still a problem on our xi??
Best Regards

Ok, i have developed 2 web services. One web service in ECC 6.0, where Java stack not available so i provided CRM system Java stack address in the global setting and executed my ECC 6.0 web service which says "No endpoints are found for the Web service"
Following is the URL: http://tuasd06db.tuasw2k.tuaspower.com.sg:8000/sap/bc/srt/wsdl/sdef_YMTEST_WS/wsdl11/ws_policy/document?sap-client=220
The one web service which created in CRM 2007, i can test in the navigator, no problem with that.
Following is the URL:
http://tuasd06db.tuasw2k.tuaspower.com.sg:8002/sap/bc/srt/wsdl/bndg_DE7DA5BA0B3A93F1AF60001A64258BFC/wsdl11/allinone/standard/document?sap-client=220
You can find the URL difference btw the URL's. Do i need to publish the service in the service registry? I thought for testing it is not required.
Now all i have problem with the ECC 6.0 web service.
Cheers,

Oracle Meter Data Management Integration with SAP ISU
Hello Everyone,
I am aware of the fact that Oracle has released a Media pack for the subject integration as discussed here and that media pack works only for SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 5 with ISU_AMI_2.
We have got OU MDM Release 2.1 Media Pack v4 and SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 4 with ISU_AMI_1 and hence Adapter in MDM won't help to achieve integration with SAP as our SAP EHP is lower than what is required for the MDM adapter. We have got SAP PI which would help the SAP End in the integration.
What are the possible work-around(s) to achieve the integration between Oracle MDM and SAP ISU without using the Media Pack/Adapter?
How does MDM exposes its services (inbound/outbound) to be consumed/triggered by External systems (i.e. SAP ISU)?
List of Services (inbound/outbound) exposed by Oracle MDM for integration?
Your time and help is much appreciated.
Regards,
Adil KhalilDid you find the document Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing - Meter Data Management Integration Implementation Guide?
I searched on eDelivery and Oracle Support, but cannot find the document.
