SAP JMS Question

I think I know the answer to this, but I have to check.
Are there more than one kind of <b>Express</b> messages in SAP?
Are there more than one kind of <b>Persistent</b> message type in SAP?
Or are the message types pretty much JMS specifications only ?
Thanks, John

Hi,
  The messages which are used in JMS are the specifications of JMS only and not that of SAP.Two ways of sending messages in JMS as u know is "topic" & "subscribe".SAP WAS server which supports J2EE specifications supports JMS there by the msgs are pretty much JMS specifications only.
  If you want to store ur java objects as persistent in DB (not related to this q) then SAP WAS supports JDO,SQLJ,JDBC etc.
   Hope it helps.

Guru

  • Quick SAP Script question New Page Print

    Quick SAP Script question
    I have added a new page to an existing SAP Script BUT only want it to print if a condition is true.
    I need to do this from within the form as the print program is SAP Std.
    Any idea how I can prevent the new page from printing?
    i.e. I need the form NOT to call the new page if the condition is false. Is there a way of forcing an exit or stop from with in the form?

    Hi,
    To trigger a new page, there is script ediotr command NEW-PAGE.
    so find where is that command is triggered and use the below code for trigger it on any specific condition....
    if &condition& = 'True'
    /*  NEW-PAGE
    elseif
    /: NEW-PAGE
    endif
    so it means if condition is satisfied your new page will not work.. else it will...
    Hope you got it...
    Try this..
    Best luck..

  • JMS Sender SAP JMS Provide large message problem

    Hi,
    we have configured a JMS sender channel to pick up messages from a queue hosted by our SAP JMS provider. Unfortunately a message of about 6 MB size isn't picked up. Smaller messages are picked up.
    Has anybody experienced a problem like this before?
    Kind regards,
    Heiko

    Hey,
    I guess you are using XML messages:
    We had some problems with large XML messages (e.g more the 10MB),
    This is usally cause by memory problems.
    There are some work-around, like increasing the memory usage of the application server.
    The first thing you do is try to understand where the message stacked (in the ABAP/J2EE).
    If this is a memory problem, changing the memory configuration can improve this,
    but be aware that there are hardware limitation (32bit application server can use with one process only 2GB), therefore messages over 100MB probably will not pass trough XI.
    If you have huge files (e.g more than 100MB)
    You must develop a program that would split the large message into several small messages. the program can not be written in the XI, and should be written before the adapter. (you might install and use in this case the conversion agent)
    If you are using a message with csv format (not XML),
    than it is possible to configure the adapter to split every X lines
    (no program need to be written)

  • SAP JMS Provider client jar files

    Hi,
    We are attempting to use the JMS provider service on XI 3.0 SR1 as the messaging system.  What are the jar files that an external J2EE application need to access the SAP JMS provider?  Has anyone used the SAP JMS provider? I greatly appreciate if you can share your experience.
    thanks.
    James Chang

    Hello James,
    The performance for such big number of messages depends mainly on the message size. If you are sending just a TextMessage with short text, then the SAP JMS provider is able to handle 100 000 messages per hour. That value represents an average number of 30 messages per second that is covered.
    However, please have in mind two issues :
    The messages will be transferred through a TCP/IP connection, so make sure that your network bandwidth to the SAP J2EE server is able to handle such load without any delays. If the messages are persistent (default mode) they will be stored in the server database. That will be the main bottleneck for the message sending especially if the size of your message is big (>100K).
    I think it will be best if you create a small prototype on your environment and verify the number of messages that can be sent.
    Best Regards

  • JMS question

    Hi,
    Can the blazeds messaging system subscribe AIR clients to a JMS one-to-many topic?
    for example, I have a java program that creates a JMS topic called latest news. Some java subsystem adds new news items to this topics. I would like Flex AIR apps Consumers to subscribe to this JSM topic via blazeds so that they all get the broadcasted message
    possible?

    Ok, so it should be something like this:
    MessageBroker msgBroker = MessageBroker.getMessageBroker(null);
    AsyncMessage msg = new AsyncMessage();
    msg.setDestination(/*YourDestinationId*/);
    msg.setClientId(UUIDUtils.createUUID(false));
    msg.setMessageId(UUIDUtils.createUUID(false));
    msg.setTimestamp(System.currentTimeMillis());
    String messageBody = "Foo";
    msg.setBody(messageBody);
    msgBroker.routeMessageToService(msg, null);
    And the answer to your JMS question is yes. As long as you use JMS topics (not queues as a single queue is meant to be consumed by a single client), every Flex Consumer will get the message.

  • SAP XI JMS Question

    All,
    I have a database of data in SAP XI 3.0 (SP17).  I run a Function Module to extract this data and want to send it to the JMS
       Adapter to deliver it to WebSphere MQ to a remote MQ QManager on another System.  A return code from JMS Adapter indicating that
       the message was put on MQ is all that is needed.  I am not waiting for the remote MQ to reply.  There is no reply.
       Using Service Pack 17 SAP XI, can the Abap Code starting the XI JMS Scenario receive a reply from the JMS Adapter to know that MQ
       received the data?  Does this have to be a sync scenario or can the scenario be async?
       Does this type of Scenario require the use of a BPM with sync/async bridge?  I have tried this approach and, on too many occasions,
       the reply never comes back to the SAP XI Abap Stack.
       Any detailed help for how to accomplish this without upgrading to SP19 for the new sync/async JMS Adapter process would be greatly
       appreciated.
       Or is that the only alternative?
    Thanks in advance!
    Michael

    Michael,
    I am on XI 3.0 SP16.  In my scenario the JMS call is asynchronous
    The best way to determine if the message was sent successfully is to switch on debugging for JMS messages
    In Visual Administrator navigate to Cluster.Services.Log Configurator
    Select the locations tab and navigate to
    ROOT LOCATION.com.sap.aii.af.mp.jms.ejb
    Then set the severity level (eg to debug)
    Run your scenario then in Visual Administrator navigate to Cluster.Services.Log Viewer to view your trace.  Alternatively you can run the stand alone log viewer
    To access documentation for ‘Logging and Tracing’ to go to the following URL
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/64/0b59010a65de44be4f26cb57b9580d/frameset.htm
    To physically see if the JMS message has reached the MQ server I used two administration tools (1) log onto the MQ server and use the Websphere MQ Explorer tool or (2) a stand alone tool called rfhutilc.exe

    Mike

    Hi Adrian,
    Is there any documentation on the XML required to create your own
    measures and filters at the universe level in a SAP BI universe?
    [http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexir3/en/xi3_sap_olap_universes_en.pdf] has some guidelines.
    SAP BW InfoCubes as data sources
    - Remote InfoCube: While fully supported, building and deploying universes on remote InfoCubes is not recommended for ad-hoc query-, reporting-, and analysis-use scenarios. Such architecture is generally not expected to meet query performance expectations with interactive queries.
    - MultiCubes and Multi-InfoProviders: Building and deploying a Business Objects universe on top of a MultiCube or Multi-InfoProvider is identical to building and deploying a universe on top of an InfoCube.
    SAP BW Queries as recommended data sources
    - Not all BW metadata features can be retrieved on an InfoCube level
    - BW Queries offer a flexible extension to the data modeling environment.InfoCubes require more effort to change.
    - BW Queries offer significant functionality to create customized data sources that meet end-user requirements.

  • Creating SAP QUERY - question about tables in buisness transactions.

    Hello.
    I am pretty new to SAP.
    I want to create a query, as i so far have successfully done by creating a join in transaction SQVI.
    I am useing several tables;
    CRMD_ORDERADM_H
    CRMD_ORDERADM_I
    CRMD_ORDER_INDEX
    I have two questions.
    1: I try to join CRMD_ORDER_INDEX-PARTNER_NO with BUT000-PARTNER, but it won't do the trick. After a join like this i would like to join BUT000 with ADRC . Can someone explain how i could do this?
    2: I want join CRMD_ORDERADM_I with all the partners for the specific Item. (sold-to-party, shipping-party and so on). Can anyone tell me which table(s) i can find this in, and what fields to join.
    I will appreciate any answer to this

    Hi,
    For the second question, enter your transaction number ( Object ID ) into <b>CRMD_ORDERADM_H</b>  table. Pass the guid to table <b>CRMD_LINK.</b>
    Take set guid from CRMD_LINK and pass it to <b>CRMD_PARTNER</b>.
    You will get all the partners in that transaction
    regards,
    Prashant

  • SAP XI questions

    Hi SAP XI experts,
    I have some questions regarding XI:
    1. What is the communication protocols between SAP XI and Microsoft Exchange Server? Is it possible to use MAPI protocol for processing incoming emails from MS Exchange, retrieve the email via this protocol by XI and process it within XI? In case not what other protocols can be used in integration SAP XI <-> MS Exchange.
    As far as I remember MAPI is a Microsoft Windows program interface that enables you to send email from within a Windows application, is it supported by SAP?
    2. What are the standard encryption protocols which can be used within XI while communication between external partners.
    3. Question about XI licensing, as far as I know there is special license model based on amount of transferred data. Do you have some details what are a ranges?
    E.g. low level range is under 50GB in production environment, middle level... high level... etc...
    Is there some special license of Integration Adapters? Are there included in common XI license?
    Any input is highly appreciated,
    Thanks,
    m./

    Hallo Martin-
    I can only (partially) address your items 2 & 3...
    2)  The SAP XI RNIF (RosettaNet Implementation Framework), RNIF11, and CIDX adapters support secure and encrypted communication via HTTPS.  For business-to-business (B2B) transactions in the High Tech and Chemical industries these adapters are available for use on XI 3.0.
    3)  All licensing issues will need to be discussed individually with an SAP Account Executive and will not likely be published by SAP on SDN.  For the adapters I mentioned above (RNIF/CIDX) a license fee applies for the adapter, in addition to the integration content contained in the Business Packages for RosettaNet and CIDX.  Again, you would need to contact an SAP Account Executive for details.
    Hope this helps.

  • Two short Soap over JMS questions

    Hello everybody,
    ís it possible to call a SOAP Service over JMS with the Oracle BPEL Process Manager, when the SOAP Service uses a "non-Oracle" queue (e.g. Apache ActiveMQ)?
    Is the schema for the namespace "http://www.oracle.com/technology/oracleas/wsdl/jms" or documentation for the elements <jms:address> and <jms:propertyValue> available somewhere?
    Thank you for your time.

    Ok, then I think I am on the right track, but still I cannot get this scenario to work.
    JMS (SOAP)-> SAP PI(ccBPM) --> IDOC
    I put SOAP messages on the sender queue, those messages dissapear from that queue, so I would expect that I can see them back in PI, but no trace is left behind in the monitoring area... It is like they've never been read from the input queue.
    What is happenning with those messages? The definition of the SOAP envelope has been uploaded as an external definition and linked to a message interface in the repository.
    JMS Communication channel checked but it is also fine.
    Any clues where to look?
    Thanks.

  • Saps cript question

    Hi folks,
    I have a question related to updating the image file on the sapscript form. I have a new image file .tiff file that I updated using RSTXLDMC for the required text element. when I did the testing, ran the sap script the new image file did not show up on the print out.
    The new file is of the same size and resolution,
    The file path I gave was from the local drive.
    Am I missing somethin here?
    Any thoughts would be really helpful.
    Thanks,
    Sk

    Hi,
    do like this
    To create a logo in SAP printouts just do the following
    1. Save a Logo using Imaging, Paint shop Pro or Corel Draw as Tiff file.
    2. Run  program RSTXLDMC and enter the following parameters
       Enter file name                     C:\COMPLOGO.TIF
       UOM                           CM
        Line width for text                132
        Text name                     ZHEX-MACRO-COMPLOGO
        Text ID                          ST
        Text language = E
        Number of Tiff gray levels (2,4,9) 2
    3.  Then Create a new window 'COMP' with attributes;
    Window COMP description Company Logo
    Left margin 7.00 CH window width 10.00 CH
    Upper margin LN window height 8.00 LN
    Finally in the text element, mention
            /: INCLUDE 'ZHEX-MACRO-COMPLOGO' OBJECT TEXT ID ST LANGUAGE 'E'.
    Please note that if object name is not indicated as 'ZHEX...’ the logo may not be printed!
    You will not be able to see the logo in a test print. The same will be printed in actual printout.
    reward if useful.

  • SAP EBS Question

    Hi Gurus,
    I am implementing SAP EBS did the config and tested out everything, is working fine. The problem is that the standard SAP EBS does not works for their business process for incoming payments and need you advice on the same:
    When they receive money they have to allocate the money into different 4 different parts for example if they have received 10,000 dollars they would allocate it to Tax first then the residual amount say example 9000 will be applied to a different category of charges and whatever is left example 8000 will be applied to another category and in the end whatever is left will be applied to the main fees.
    So my questions are:
    1) How can EBS handle such a scenario?
    2) Is there any enhancements available in EBS which could do this allocation?
    Thanks
    GM

    HEllo,
    Note 494777 shows all the enhancements for EBS.
    The external transaction is also relevant to determine where the values are applied. Does your bank send the charges/taxes/etc in one line item with one transaction type or is it split in different items?
