SAP Jobs without graduation

Hello experts ,
I hv` been in SAP since 6 years . I am working in a small firm. My next step is to change in the brand name and increase in salary too. But i do not have any graduation degree with me , i have applied in many companies (MNCs) but they won`t need and consider my experience rather than they required graduation certification from me.
I am pursuing a graduation which will finish in next year. Is it really matter a graduation in SAP Career rather than experience.

Nowadays most of the companies look for graduated persons and this has remained as one of their HR policy for certain positions in the organisation.
But with my experience in interviews, I personally always look for few things in the candidates
1) How much SAP knowledge the person has?
2) How he has understood the concepts?
3) And how deep the understanding he has on SAP products/modules.
More important point I look for is their interest & eagerness in learning new things.It does not matter if a person has graduation or he is working in small//medium/large scale industries or where he comes from.
What matters is the knowledge of SAP, Communication skills and Attitude to learn more.
What I would recommend, instead of assuming MNC's recruit only graduates..you should keep trying for better opportunities and quickly complete the graduation.

As a fresher there are lot of options to start the career in SAP domain . As a fresher doing a certification *** training with out any prior experience , the opportunities for getting a job will be very less. SAP is a Enterprise business software which has the Technical ( ABAP,BASIS .......) Functional (SD,PP,MM,FI,...) Techno Functional modules . Choose a very option to get started . Getting a right career is not a tough job for you , search in web , read about sap , lot of online information ,forums available . choosing a career is a brainstorming work , my suggestion drop the idea of doing certification , as you are a fresher and very difficult to get a job without any experience . How to Add Steps to an SAP Job

Hi Gurus,
I want to add two new Abap steps in an SAP Job
Ex: ZSAPPEW1 : SAP Job
I had 7 Abap steps in this job
I want to edit this job and add two more steps after 5th Abap Program /Step
May I know how to do this without creating a new job ?

Go to SM37 >> Select Job name >> Change mode >> STEP >> Create step (Add other steps)
OR
Create a new job with all steps and remove the old one.

SSO for SAP and Non-SAP applications without Enterprise Portal

Dear all,
Is it possible to implement SSO for both SAP and non-SAP applications without involvement of EP at all?
I have gone through this link.

But I still i am not able to get the precise answer on how to enable SSO for both SAP and non-SAP applications without EP.
We have decided not to implement EP in first phase of SAP implementation. But we need to enable SSO for other SAP and Non-SAP applications.
A detailed description on how to deal this kind of scenarios will be helpful.

A client of our's uses SAP Enterprise Portal, and is using the SAP SSO, which is implemented with tickets, and requires the use of SAPSECULIB. My company provides an application for this client, and our application in hosted in our data center for the client, as a Software as a Service application, obviously across the internet. Our client, which owns a SAP license, has asked that we support the SAP SSO as a non-SAP SSO application. The client user's SSO ticket will be created from SAP EP, and then passed across the internet to our application, and we are to use that SSO ticket as an authentication ticket to our application. I beleive I know how to do this work technically, having reviewed the SAP document named: "Dynamic Library for Verifying SSO Tickets in Third-Party Software" Specification Version 2.00 December 2005.
My question is, does my company have the right to use the SAPSECULIB? Where is the official download and license download, that indicates we can download this library, and use it to support a SAP customer? We do not own a SAP license. Thank you for your help. I have searched many places in SAP support.

Crystal Reports from SAP BW without BOE

I have read different documents and documentation about how you can use SAP BW objects with Crystal Reports.
One of that documents was "BusinessObjects Integration Kit for SAP - Crystal Reports 2008" from Ingo Hilgefort.
On Page 38 of that document, when saving the report, you have the option "Automatically Publish to Enterprise".
In the example it is not selected.
According with that:
Can I assume that I can have Crystal Report Connected to SAP BW without using BOE?
Even If I do not use, do I have to install BOE?
If I have the version Crystal Reports Enterprise 2008, do I have to use or install BOE?
Clarification will be appreciated on this topic.

If you have installed NetWeaver EHP1 and SP2 for Xcelsius, my understanding is that you will a "Native access of SAP BusinessObjects Xcelsius via BICS without BusinessObjects Enterprise Platform XI 3.1" (According with document "Update to NetWeaver EhP1 SAp Netweaver 7.01")
Do you still need BOE to share the solution (as per Crystal reports)?

Help Required Regarding - SAP Job names using R3 data flows

We are calling a set of SAP Jobs using R3 data flows in data services. When ever a job fails we first kill the active SAP jobs by logging into SAP and then restarting the Jobs.
There are about 100 odd SAP jobs that we call using these Data services Jobs so we wanted to kill the jobs using a reusable code on the SAP side by passing the Job name just before every R3 flows just incase its still in active status.
So wanted to know if there are any short cuts to retrive the set of associated SAP job names because it will be a tedious process to hardcode the SAP job names and pass them as parameters for all the 100 + SAP job names in the custom defined resuable code.
Any help or advice on this please !!

Class.newInstance() probably does not take significantly more processing than a simple "new Fubar();".
Umpteen reflective method invokations (one per column) for each row/instance - Are you saying these are the problem?
You can test this easy enough.
If you comment out the reflective method invocations and leave the rest of your code untouched,
does your application processing speed up significantly?

On the selection screen specify the variant...
Then from the menu options choose program->excute in background...
In this way we can crate a backgroup job with out crateing any varinat for the report...

Sorry I misunderstood what you were trying to setup.
If you want to connect the Portal to a Non-SAP Application then I believe that you would need to use a third party tool like Netegrity Siteminder.
We have a portal that is protected by Siteminder and then we have a .NET application that is also protected by Siteminder and SSO is setup between the two since Siteminder is used.

Then maybe there is a problem with another parameter, and the error is obscured by this error message.
You did specify valid values for all other parameters ?
Maybe you can try the following:
- create a simple job in SAP, you do not have to execute it only save it
- import this job using RSI_IMPORT_CCMS_JOBS and specify the exact job name
- run the imported job (it will have the same name as in SAP) and see if this works
- if this works, try your job again directly from CPS and compare your parameters with those on the imported job (especially which ones are filled or not filled, that sometimes is more important than the exact value chosen)

Above mentioned SAP job is running for days. I tried with changing parameters In integration engine administration SXMB_ADM for Category PERF there is a paramter DAYS_TO_KEEP_DATA.
Created the Index too in Table SXMSPFAGG. But still the job is taking very long time.
could any one faced same kind of issue and fixed with different solutions, pls

The answer is Yes and No. Yes, if you have a corporate wide Financial System for taking balance sheet and other reporting needs and you need SAP MM for your purchasing and inventory management functions. Even in this case, you will need a FICO Consultant to setup the minimum FI settings. And to build interface to push the relevant data between SAP and the core financial system. No, if you dont have any other system to track the business financials.
Most implementations will have FI and MM implemented and in few cases, where the corporate wide Financial system is different from SAP, we will have a lean FI implemented in SAP to allow necessary postings.

Hi Chris,
As such there is no standard job to remove OS level files.
You may write some abap program which contains execution of OS level commands.
You may schedule this ABAP program based on your requirement to cleanup the files at OS level.
We had done it for cleaning up interface files at one of our customers.

Trigger SAP job

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to trigger SAP job whenever there is a new file in a network folder which is outside SAP. File name is like worklistYYYYMMDDHHMMSS.CSV. Timing of this file creation are unpredictable.
Also, this new file should be passed to SAP job for running.
Do you have any idea about possible solution? Can we user Event based trigger (SAPEVT command)?

You can do it in this way.
Creat a program in ABAP which picks up the file from Application Server
Put all the reocrds in an internal table and post it in SAP.
This program will be batch program and it will run once in every hr and
it will store the last captured file name in a Z table so whenever it picks up new file it will
compare the name old file and if they are not same delete the old file name and insert the new file name in the Z table.
Your batch program can pick up the file name from this Z table.
