SAP Library Message : Action Canceled

Hi Gurus,
I have installed the SAP Help in a Network Folder & maintained it in SR13,but from some of the systems users are able to use SAP library whereas from other systems they are unable to access it.As soon as they open HELP->Application Help,the SAP Library opens but :"Action Canceled " message is displayed.I thought this is regarding hostname entry in \etc\host file,but I have maintained the host file & included the server ip & hostname in all the machines.Though still I am getting this error.
Can you please take a look into this.

Thanks for your reply.I am not able to find the sapdoccd.ini file,i have checked the C:/WINDOWS,the sapdoccd.log is present there only,can you send me the sapdoccd.ini file & tell me what changes I need to do in my System.Even in those system from which users are getting the SAP Library,there is no sapdoccd.ini file in the WINDOWS folder.

I am not getting any dump but i am getting a status message "Action Canceled by user".

Check the table consistentency in the source client by SE14-> Enter the object as one of the table and from menu bar above-> Extras->database object -> Check
It will give you an output like "Database object for TBDLS is consistent". May be if you could transport these tables from one system to another manually..if not possible please open a message with SAP.

UWL Navagation "Action Canceled"

We are testing the Universal Worklist and running into this problem. When clicking on buttons or actions we get an "Action canceled" page. Just a basic internet explorer error page saying "Action Canceled Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable."
This happens when hitting the 'Return' button on workflows, or hitting 'View all collaboration' button, in addition to the save button. Now, it still saves the action, so the button seems to work, just the redirect navigation doesn't work.
This also happens in the Personalize View page. Once there, hitting Save, Restore Defaults, or Cancel, results in the "Action Canceled" error page, though each button performs it's function.
Does anyone know what could be causing this? Is there some part of the UWL config files that could be the cause?

Best way is to look for log files. Any java code that runs in the portal typically logs all exceptions in application specific log files. If this is done, error would be more easy to isolate..

Action Canceled in SR13

I have installed ECC 6.0 SR3 with ABAP+JAVA (MI, DI usage type) on Window Server 2K3 64bit R2 with oracle 10.0.2. I configured the SR13 with HTMLHELPFile on DEV, QAS, MDSD servers with following parameters

WN32
IWBHELP
\\IP\saphelp\English\HtmlHelp\HTMLHELP\HELPDATA
EN
Default Checked
when i click on HELP --> SAP Library then received Action Canceled in window right Panel. and when i try to open .chm file from share path in the server or within the LAN then also received Action Canceled. While the PlainHtmlHttp is working fine....
i have also applied this note: Note 857216 - SAP help files (.chm) not displayed correctly but did not solve the problem. Please guide me...

Try following the below steps:
In Transaction SR13
a) Go to the Tab "HTMLHELPFILE"
b) Click the "New Entries" Button
c) Type the following input in the respective fields as given below.
variant: SAPHELP
Platform:
: WN32
Area: IWBHELP
Path:
SERVER_NAME\Software\SAPHelp\HTMLHELP\HELPDATA
Language: EN
Default: Click the check Button
Then click "SAVE" Button . This will prompt for change request which you can
transport it to Quality and Production System.

RH_RELATION_MAINTAIN...getting Action Canceled...

I have a loop in my program to create relationship of positions (created by RH_OBJECT_CREATE).. If I run debug mode ... position objects and relationship infotypes are created using functions RH_OBJECT_CREATE and RH_RELATION_MAINTAIN... but if I execute the program GUI displays 'action canceled'... I am not able to trap where this message is coming from. May you help me with this issue if you have encoutered as such? Thanks...

Error when I click on Help -- SAP Library

When I click on Help --> SAP Library or Help --> Application Help or Help --> Glossary
I get an error message as follow:
Error in SAP HTML-HELP (SHH.exe)
Could not find file
"L:\Data\Saphelp\htmlhelp\HELPDATAR347x200

For details please check the entries in the files SAPDOCCD.LOG in the windows directory.
SO how to solve this problem...
And is there a way to change the path in which the system look to when i click SAP Library from the path shown above (L:\ Data\....) to another path??

Hi,
Are the html help files installed on the "L:\DATA\..." drive ? and are the help files installed in language "NL" (Dutch) ?
You can control the path where to look for the files in 2 ways (as i remember):
1) by customizing the SAPDOCCD.INI file on your local workstation (if exists). (User specific)
2) by customizing in transaction SR13 within your R/3. (System specific)
But in the SAPDOCCD.LOG file you should be able to see how the location is found, and from where.
Every thing however (including basic trouble shooting) is described in SAP's document "Installing the SAP Library" or something like this....

OC4J AJP13 Firewalled Connection, Page Not Found and Action Cancelled

I have a J2EE application that works fine within the company intranet, however the live internet available version is plagued by Action Cancelled and Page Not Found Errors. We also get some queries that hang.
Having recently switched from Apache2/Tomcat to OHS/OC4J (10gR2), through a halfway house of Apache2/OC4J, I can also state that the problem occurs on these platforms as well. The operational application only uses SSL connections.
According to our Firewall team idal connection timeouts are in the order of six hours, and we have tried opening all ports between the Web Server and Application Server, just in case we were blocking something, all to no avail.
We also sometimes get the ie popup for changing between secure and unsecure objects, or displaying secure and unsecure objects, despite having those popups disabled in the browser. The only HTTP call shown within the HTTP trace is a random call from the browser to CONNECT to the application secure base URL which points to a splash page. I have no idea where this is coming from.
The application concerned is Business Objects.
Any thoughts.
Interestingly, when I activate Fiddler, the Microsoft IE HTTP(S) monitor the problem goes away, except for the page hangs which occur when a jsp script requests data.
I can modify any parameters relating to mod_oc4j, OHS, and the application container.

check your web.xml and struts-config.xml file . Are they correct ? . i mean validate them.
also are you facing this error in a particular request or in every request.

Printing SAP Library document on a paper

Hi,
I'd like to print out the document "SAP Smart Forms (BC-SRV-SSF)" from SAP Library, because I just don't want to read the whole document on a screen.
When I right-click the node "SAP Smart Forms (BC-SRV-SSF)" and select Print target, my browser prints the first page only. I just cannot print the whole document page by page, because printing would take several hours.
Is it possible to print this whole document at all? Or, is there any way to get the document on a paper?

List of all users attached to a role iview time out / Action canceled

Hello All,
I've created a custom iview which pulls all the users assigned to roles. It gives all the users attached directly to the role and through a group to a role in a tabular form. The isolation method on the page is set to URL.
It works fine when the number of users attached to the users are less. But for roles which has got about 30,000+ users it fails. Earlier it was giving me time out error. So increased the "Page timeout " to 25000000 which is very huge. Now it doesnt give me time out error but it comes up with a page saying "Action canceled - IE was unable to link to the web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavilable".
When I run the report, it tries to get the users, it works for like 10 - 12 mins, and i think when its trying to put all those users in a table for display, it give me a blank screen (this is how it behaves for less users, just before its about to display the page), then i see IE status bar saying "Website found ....", then it says "Done" and then it gives a page saying "Acion Canceled - IE was unable to link to the web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavilable."
Please help me out.

maybe you should not display that 30.000+ users...
Just think how long the page will be....
SAP uses for tables with more than 20 lines a "next page" button for a reason.....
How about you write the result in a txt file (in one of your par file folders) and have a download link in you iview?

I am trying to execute Functional Module HU_PACKING_AND_UNPACKING to Pack Sales Order Line Items in to HU.
But System is throwing unusual error Handling unit was not blocked - action cancelled
The Other SAP SDN thread advised to implement OSS Note 370195 , 331715.
The Input Code given in the Note 370195 SAP Developer can not find in our system.
SAP Note 331715 already implemented in our system.
Please help to resolve the issue for Packing Sales Order Line Items in to HU.

Delete messages with "Cancelled Manually" state (MSGSTATE is 21)?

Hello,
I want to delete messages from master table SXMSPMAST which are in "Cancelled Manually" state i.e. the value of field MSGSTATE is 21.
I have tried running reports "RSXMB_ARCHIVE_MESSAGES" and "RSXMB_DELETE_ARCHIVED_MESSAGES" but with no success. the vlaue of the field ITFACTION is ARCH.
Can anyone guide me how do i delete these messages?

Hi Yash,
in productive sysems the messages with status 21 can not be deleted by the regular deletion report, it has to be archived first and then will be deleted by the archive job itself. so you have to configure archiving.
for non productive systems you can set the parameter ARCHIVE->PERSIST_ARCH_MANUAL_CHANGES to delete the manually changed messages, afterwards it will be deleted by the regular deletion job.
please check the SAP note 872388.
manually cancelled or manually changed messages (status 019 and 021) have to be archived. Therefore you always have to configure archiving to handle manually edited messages. Should you decide (for non-productive systems only) that you would like to delete these manually cancelled messages, please refer to Note 820149

SAP ME Integration Action Block in SAP MII14.0

Hi All
Since ME 6.1 and MII 14.0 are now on the same platform, the transfer of data between shop floor (PLC) and ME via MII is now easy using ME Integration action blocks present in MII 14.0. These action blocks have different kinds of API's present which can be used as per the requirement.
At the time of MII installation in my landscape, these SAP ME Integration action blocks were installed successfully and were working perfectly fine.
Now, again I got a requirement to use API (SAP ME Integration Action Blocks) and could not find them in my MII 14.0 workbench. The complete SAP ME INTEGRATION folder is missing from the MII workbench, just like it got disappeared from its place.
Following are the messages I am able to fetch from MII logs after executing the transactions which were created at the time when API's folder was present:

Hi Avichal,
This is a one time activity if you do not undeploy MII or MEINT at any point in time. From what you are saying it appears that you have either undeployed and re-deployed MII. Or you have undeployed MEINT from your system.
You can check if MEINT is deployed by navigating to System Resources -> Custom Actions within MII. If you see sap.com~xapps~me~integration~action~actions.mii-actions.jar, it means MEINT classes exist within MII server. Else they are lost.

No library or action listed in automator

Can anyone help, I am new to automator. on opening automator both the library and action is empty and there is no appliction list. How does one automate anything?

I have the same problem: although Automator used to work fine, now everything is just gone and I can't even use my own workflows. It is also impossible to import any actions, be it from the automator folder or from any other folder that I downloaded actions to. There are no error messages displayed in automator, which prompts me to believe that this is a rather nasty bug. I have been searching around different international and norwegian forums, and the problem seems to be widespread (yet there is little or no information about what has been leading up to the problems). I tried all of the suggested tricks - trash the com.apple.automator.plist, reinstalled automator from the DVD, repaired permissions. If I create a new user, it will work fine (and no, I didn't change the user name for the my own account). I'll continue hoping that somewhere there is a top-notch user holding the secret key combination that will solve this mystery...
Another guy though that Filevault was causing the trouble, but if that is the case I can't see any reason why there should only be problems with automator and why they should persist across reinstalls and restarts.
