SAP License but digital signature?

Hello everyone,
I have asked for Sap license and i have recieved a Digital Signature based Sap license.. Anyone got any idea about how to install that license? I have Sap netweaver 7.1 (Demo) aka minisap which i have downloaded from Internet and requested for license and in return i got a digital license based mail but i dont know how to install this so that i can Register the objects.

How Adobe reader will access SAP PKI for digital signatures

Hello,
I am using a ABAP report to upload signed PDF document and validating the signature. However signature which I am using is client side Signature and not the server side. I still hope that I would be able to get these signatures from document.
When I call execute method of CL_FP_PDF_OBJECT it gives this error
Exception from the class CX_FP_RUNTIME_SYSTEM was caught, and that is due to No SSL installed yet.
But I have doubt that, does ADS has trouble seperating the client side (local signatures from document), I hope not!
One more question, If my PKI is setup Using SAPSECLIB or SAPCRPLIB then how will my local adobe reader access to this server to get public keys..
I am facing hard time visualizing, where we will specify in my Adobe acrobat that go to So and so SAP server for keys!! Or Private keys are always with signers on his machine?

Thanks for your reply.
So as we can add any directory server in Adobe reader and trusted identities, we can do the same with Adobe document services? So its Adobe document services, which actually validates the signature and not the web application server.
I have one more query. I have five level approval on my form where five approvers will use Windows Certificate Store to sign the document. But for this I assume that document needs to be passed from one approver to next approver in offline mode. Because once PDF document goes back to server only data of PDF will be retained after validating the signatures. So if we have multilevel approver scenario as I have in my case, we will always have to use offline mode? I am using the WebDynpro right now, can Guided procedure or ISR can help in this case.(Multiple approvers using digital signatures to sign the document)?

How to link SAP Application to Digital Signature

Dear all,
As per the sap note 593041,594010 and 827417 we have done the config setting and executed program DSIG_BOOKING_EX
in tcode DSAL we are getting the message "Signature process was successfully completed by user" please suggest us
how to link this to any SAP application ( Ex. Check printing ,PO Printing.) we r using script for printing these application.

SAP HR-IN Form 16 Queries , Digital Signatures, SAP ADS

I have a couple of queries with regard to Form 16.
1. My firm wants to use digital signature in the Form 16. How to configure the signature part of the Form16 in SAP?
2. Where is the purpose of SAP ADS in digital signature?
3. Do I need to get a new license for using the digital signature feature in form 16?
4. My company is getting the digital signature part done thru a 3rd party. How to upload this digital signature into PC00_M40_F16?
5. What are the relevant SNotes to be installed to use this feature?

The workaround software we have used is provided by Ace Technology, they are one of the approved DSC vendors.

If you are going for the same vendor, go for a Grade 3 signature, it allows you to do a Mass Digital Signature.
The tech support provided by them was not that great, we eventually figured out how to use thier product, but incase you take the same service I can help you in figuring out how to use the USB token.

Digital Signatures for Changing the statuses in Issue Mgmt

Hi
Has anyone put in place digital signatures for Issue
Managemnt when we change the status values in an issue.
We are looking at SAP Note 835584 - Digital signature for documents,
but that is not applicable for us as we want to initiate the digital
signature when the status profile "SLFI0001" kicks in and the status is
changed from one to the other.(eg in process to completed etc)
We have created the digital signature and the strategies, but are
looking for a place to attach this with the status profile "SLFI0001".
Is there a place we can attach the digital signature strategies to this
status profile?
Anyone has any ideas on how it can be done?

We have a document that needs to be signed by more than one individual -- and in our process we are using the Topacz signature pad to get the signature. It's similar to the one you sign at the grocery store, drug store, etc. In order to NOT have the first signature invalidated, we were told to edit the registry...and it works perfectly!

Obviously if you are using a different version of Acrobat, you'll have to change the key accordingly.

Digital Signature Not Showing Up in Saved PDF

I am frequently sent pdf contracts that need to be filled out, signed and returned. I turn the pdf into a form and then add a signature field, click "certify with visible signature," sign it and save it as a pdf. But then when I email the signed pdf it has all the form content but doesn't show the signature. Same for when I open the file in Preview. The signature only shows up in Acrobat. Can anyone help explain what I am doing wrong?

It was dsaks who originally asking about creating a digital signature and that's what the core of this thread is about. When Mobius Strip asked about flattening the signature into a bitmap image that I suggested using a custom signature appearance, because the progenitor of the thread was asking about digital signatures. If they can get by with using a custom stamp then that's fine by me, but that wasn't the thread topic.

There is no licensing involved here. The PDF specification is public and the Acrobat SDK even has an example of how to create your own signature plug-in. It's not my job to monitor the forum. I chime in on digital signature issues because it's a complex subject and there are so few people who understand the minutia of how they work. If dsaks hadn't added "certify with visible signature," to the original post I would have skip this completely, but he/she did so I tried to answer their question.
Finally, it's a bit disingenuous when you stated "The image does not display at all, except in Acrobat/Acrobat Reader". It just doesn't display in the free Mac Preview app. There are other third party signature handlers that will process and display a digital signature in a PDF file, but there are not a lot of them in free PDF viewers. As I said above, if dsaks can get by with a custom stamp then great, but if he/she needs a cryptographically sound digital signature then there is no reason why not to created it because everyone can get the free Reader for the Mac, Windows and Linux platforms.

Digital Signature sign off for PM work order operations

We are have a requirement for digital signature sign off for operation. I've done all the setting mentioned in SAP Help

But still the Digital signature functionality is not working. Note 700495 give a sample program DSIG_BOOKING_EX, do we need to have a similar program for operations as well or once the setting is done for operation sign off w.r.t order type and plant the digital signature will automatically work.
Have any one worked on the same required. pls help.

Currently we are taking PO print and it is then sign by authorized person,naw we want to maintain digital signatures of authorized person on PO print such that when we take Print of PO it would be with signature of authorized person.

XMAM30 - digital signature - new applet running with MobileEngine.exe

I am new to this forum and could not find a solution for my problem.
I would be very happy, if anybody can help me.
I have developed a new applet based on the standard SAP applet for the digital signature in xMAM30. This applet works fine in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 but it doesn't work with the MobileEngine.exe!
I have already read the SAP note 897289 about this topic, but this note was not the solution for my problem. Because the SAP Standard applet (com.sap.mbs.mam.order.control.SignApplet) in the mamsignapplet.jar works fine in MS IE 6 and with MobileEngine.exe.
After several tests I found out, that the problem must be the JAR-file which contains the applet.
I have created a new JAR-File of the SAP applet class: com.sap.mbs.mam.order.control.SignApplet with the same MANIFEST.MF which I found in mamsignapplet.jar. But this new JAR-file doesn't work with MobileEngine.exe. Only the MS IE 6 could load the standard SAP applet for digital signature.
Now my question is:
What is the difference between the standard SAP jar-file "mamsignapplet.jar" and the jar-file I have created by using the normal Eclipse export as jar functionality?
What's wrong with the jar-file I have created?

What do yo mean by "will not work"? Do the people who try to sign your PDF file receive errors? Please describe the exact issue so we can figure out where the problem lies.

Ask your BASIS guy to set up ur SMP ID .
It is now permitted to use Digital Signature on Form 16. Current Form 16 print program does not support this functionality
Prerequisites
SAP Note 1156084 - Sum of serial no. 18(a) & 18(b) incorrect on Form 16 PDF
Currently this solution supports single digital signature at a time. In case you have more than one digital signature uploaded in
the system, currently Form 16 will be signed with "Default" digital signature only.
Create connection between ADS (Adobe Document Services) and R/3 system:
This can be done through transaction 'SM59' --> connection type 'G' (HTTP Connection to External Server).
It is recommended that you create this connection with 'RFC Destination' name as 'ADS_HTTPS'.
Download:
.SAR attachment 480180 and 13719 should be downloaded with file names
Form16_DIGSIG.SAR for ECC 6.0 and Form16_DIGSIG.SAP
for ECC 604 release.
Perform the following manual activities:
o Execute Transaction code 'SE38'.
o Enter Program Name 'HINCF160' and select 'Change' option
o Select 'GOTO' from menu bar and select 'Text Elements' and then
'Text Symbols' from menu.
o Make the folloing new entries in Text Symbols
