SAP M list search not working

Question

Hello Experts,
I am trying to implement a search function on my list.
I'm using this code for the search:

My controller looks like this:

And in my view.js i have this searchfield

I can see the list refresh after i put an 'A' in the searchbar for example but nothing has changed.
I get no immediate errors from my console....
Except when i hold the 'Backspace' button in the searchbar and it removes some letters, i get this:

Any Ideas ?

This does not mean it will filter based on MaterialName. you need to implement the logic.
