SAP management console not showing AS java
Hello all,
I have made a NW04s installation system test (linux+oracle). I then installed as java add-in EP and BI (AS JAVA, EP CORE, EP, BI JAVA). It was NW04s SR2 with SPC13 and kernel not changed: 700 patch 111.
In the SAP management console there were 3 entries: one for database, one for abap instance and one for java instance.
In the abap instance node I was able to see an entry for "AS java" which was whowing two process (SDM and another one...).
I made a new test installation similar to the previous one and in the SAP management console I do not see any entry for "AS Java". Of course AS java is installed and running !
How can I get SAP management console show "AS java" ????
Thank you
Jean
Hi Jean,
Start Services.msc from run prompt (if this is windows based installation)
and look for <SID>services, where <SID> is your instance name..
Please do the following and let me know if this of any success
You get back your MMC , please do the following steps.
1. Go to Run and type MMC.
2.Go to file and select add/remove snap in ( alt+m).
3.Click on add
4.Select the SAP system from there.
Save the MMC console which you have created now....This should work fine.
Thanks
Pankaj

SAP management console doesnt show any instances
Hi,
I installed CE recently and it seemed to be working fine. But today I have been running into trouble with the SAP management console. When I open the SAP management console it shows no instances and is empty. I tried to start the server from SAP Netweaver Composition Environment 7.1 > Application server J01 (CE1) > Start Application Server and it fails also giving me this message
===================================================

And surprisingly I am not able to see any logs for today, The last I can view them for is when I tried to start the application yesterday.
I also tried to go through the composition tool set up again where it could lead me to a screen to start the server , but had no luck , it didnot give me any information about the CE instances at all.
Any help in this regard would be really appreciated it.
Thanks so much
Regards
RoopaHi Roopa,
Follow this...
Execute sapstartsrv.exe from one of the following paths
fill with your system details, select your START profile
from \usr\sap\<SID>\PROFILE\START*, use your Service user and password (your as <hostname>\SAPService<Sid>)
\usr\sap\<sid>\SYS\exe\uc\NTI386
\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\exe\run
Now Check MMC
Thanks & Regards,
Venkat.

Exchange Management Console not showing anything....
I have 2 Exchange 2010 servers in production. My new server is installed, and ever since it was install, I have not been able to see anything under Exchange Management Console. I receive no errors when I go through the Exchange Management Shell.
I don't receive any errors at all until I I try to Collect Organizational Health Data. When I do this, MMC crashes and I have the option to unload the snap-in or report this error to Microsoft. I can manage the Exchange environment from my first
Exchange server with no issues. I am logged in as the domain administrator which has membership to the organizational management security group in the exchange security group.
Any help is appreciated.Hi Lee,
I suggest install the Exchange 2010 SP1 UR6 or later.
I found a KB, please check whether we match the situation:
An empty list returns when you try to use the EMC to specify a server to connect to in an Exchange Server 2010 SP1 environment
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2549183
If this issue caused by permission. Please try to add Administrator into Organization Management (we have done) and Server Management roles via EMS.
Add-RoleGroupMember "Recipient Management" -Member Administrator
Add-RoleGroupMember "Server Management" -Member Administrator
If you won't be able to do this then try adding Administrator user into both groups available in AD.
If still not working, I suggest re-install it if you don't mind (since there is no data existed on the new Exchange server).
Please using DASIEdit to check whether we have uninstalled the Exchange server completely.
Hope it is helpful
Thanks

Users are not displaying in Management Console's Sessions (AS Java)
Hi,
Recently we upgraded our Development Server to EHP 7.11.
In SAP Management Console, inside AS Java, when we are trying to view the Sessions, in the User Column the user names are not displaying.
Those users are authenticated through UME.
Before upgrading users logins were displaying.
Please help us to rectify this problem.
Thanks and Regards
Ravi Shankar KDid you try to run the MMC on url. http://hostname:5xx13.
where xx denotes the instance no of thet host.

even if your thread is closed:
If you get this error in firefox you just have to install java plugin.

Problem with SAP Management console
Hi
I am starting my SAP Server from SAP Management console( ECC6.0 IDES Version).
I am able to login into my system but after few minutes the server color is changing from Green to Yellow and I am not able to continue using my system. What could be the problem? How to resolve the same?
Thanks.
Abdul HakimI have the same problem ???

My SAP MMC is not showing server instance01
Hello Experts,
My SAP MMC is not showing server instance01.
I am running Netweaver 2004s SP17.
It was working fine earlier, and after a system reboot, I tried to start the server again, but MMC does not show server instance in NSP node.
I had tried starting the server from Administrative tools->Services SAPNSP_01
but, its not starting and showing and message as
Could not start the SAPNSP_01 service on Local Computer.
Error 5: Access is denied.
where as SAPNSP_00 in Administrative tools->Services started and showing that in MMC console also.
Is there a way for me to fix this?
Regards
SunilI managed to fix the problem - I ran sapstartsrv.exe from windows explorer (located in \usr\sap\NSP\DVEBMGS00\exe)
Here I entered the following:
Operation: -Install Service and register COM interface & Start Service
SID: NSP
NR: 00
Start Profile: C:\usr\sap\NSP\SYS\profile\START_DVEBMGS00_<ServerName> (where <ServerName> is your computer name)
User: <ServerName>\<UserName> (where <ServerName> is your computer name, and <UserName> is your windows login name)

SAP Management Console and Services
Good morning everyone,
I am trying to understand more about the services used by the SAP System, the order in which they are / need to be started.
First I have a precise question regarding what appears to be, to me, as a discrepancy between the SAP Management Console and The Services Console.
At the moment I have a Server with the SAP System stopped. It shows the correct information in the SAP Management Console but when I look at the Services Console the following services show as started:
SAPOsCol, SAPPRD_00 & SAPPRD_01
SAPCCMSR.01 & SAPCCMSR.11 are set to manual
Has anyone got an explanation on why different info are displayed in both console?
Also, is there a way of checking if the SAP Services are running without going through any interface (Management Console)?
Finally,
In the Services Console the SAPOsCol, SAPPRD_00 & SAPPRD_01 services are set to automatic but when we restart the Server the services do not restart automatically even so they show as starter. Can anyone give me direction on what I need to check or change for these to start properly?
Thank you
CorinneCorinne,
The Services SAPOsCol, SAPPRD_00 & SAPPRD_01 started doesnot mean that SAP is up. So even if you stop SAP through MMC it will show these services as started. These Services denote whether the Instance PRD_00 and PRD_01 are enabled in MMC. So if you stop these services, you wont be able to start SAP through MMC.
SAPCCMSR.01 & SAPCCMSR.11 are set to manual -- These are optional CCMS Agents , so they are set to manual. If you need them you can change them to Automatic
SAPOsCol, SAPPRD_00 & SAPPRD_01 are set to automatic. This should mean that they get strated with the start of OS during a reboot. If they are not getting started there is some issue.
Hope this helps!
Reward points if useful!!!
Cheers!

Difference between SAP SLD and SAP Management console
Hello,
It seems that both System landscape directory and SAP management console have some overlapping features. The services can be started or stopped in both. Is it true? Does anyone know the difference between these 2 and where does Solution manager fit in?
Thanks
ShailikHi,
SAP SLD is the central information provider in a system landscape.this contains both Component information and Landscape description.COMPONENT Info in sense all the sap products and components along with their versions, And also third party products also.LANDSCAPE desc in sense the description of all the systems in particular landscape.
Example:This can shows exact idea for you.Components like CAF,Webdynpo(WD-java),BPM etc info. And the host names,Message server ports etc. Here we dont have start/stop functionality.
SAP MC provides a common framework for centralized system management. It allows you to monitor and perform basic administration tasks on the SAP system centrally, thus simplifying system administration. Using the SAP MC you can
1.Monitor and control (start, stop, or restart) the SAP system and its instances with a single tool
2.Monitor system alerts
3.Display the list of all access points to an SAP system etc.
We can see difference by looking into http://<host name>:<port>/index.html
Look and feel are also differ.
For more info you can go through these links of sap help.
For SAP SLD:http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/fe/39ae3d47afd652e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
For SAP MC:http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/44/c707c053550f2ce10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm

Check the following articles:
297064 - Error Message "Snap-in Failed to Initialize" When You Use Microsoft Management Console http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;297064&FR=1&PA=1&SD=HSCH305831 - "MMC Snap-In

Make sure the following files exist in your system folder (probably C:\Windows\system32). Then, make sure they are all registered.
certmgr.dll
filemgmt.dll
mycomput.dll
If noting else helps and in worse case perhaps re-install of Windows is necessary.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/62/1bf03eae11e16be10000000a114084/frameset.htm
Except the processes of the Java instance you can find several processes of the IGS server and the ABAP disp+work processes.
You can easily find the relevant services by their SAP prefix.
Hope this helps.
Best Regards

How to rectify sap management console

sap management console was deleted in my system, how can rectify this problem otherwise we need to install again
thanks & regards
sathish .nhi,
Copy the MMC console from Q/A system and paste it here.
If you are not having sap dll files in system32 folder means copy the same from another and paste it in this system.
