We are currently on SAP 4.7 ,using sapgui 6.20.We have requirement that our mail client user should be able to view/send/receive mails in sap mail box.
I have gone through SAP help and found that this is possible using SAP MAPI which is frontend utility integrated with windows. I tried to do the settings in the frond end like creating profile for sap MAPI but not finding the exact way as described in sap help files.
Kindly help me out ? If there are some sap notes do reply.

  • Opening PDF attachments in Outlook 2003 with Adobe 8.1

Everytime I attempt to open a Pdf file that is attached to an e-mail, It opens in Excel, even though it is not an excel spreadsheet.

The can only open it on their machine if they save the pdf attachment after renaming it. All computers on the network have the latest Outlook 2003 updates, so it puzzles me that only three end users with the same version of Outlook 2003, with the same updates, are not able to view the attachment from Outlook, but the other users can. Also, why do those three end users have to rename the file if the save it to the their computer to be able to view it, but no one else has to. And, it is not every pdf attachment either, just some from certain people that send them an e-mail. Really puzzling issue that I need to get resolved...

  • IPod as a conduit to sync iCal and Outlook 2003 with each other?

I am able to synchronize my work Outlook 2003 calendar and home Mac iCal with the iPod in two separate files on the iPod. I can see them both if I select "All". My questions are:
    1. What should I do to sync the PC and the Mac with the same file on the iPod?
    2. Is it possible to snychronize the iCal and Outlook with each other via the iPod?
    Thanks,

If you mount your iPod on your Mac, navgate to the iPod Calendars folder and double-click on an ics file it will import the calendar into iCal. So you can sync from the PC to the iPod to iCal uni-directionally. If Outlook 2003 can import an ics file then you should be able to sync the other way as well. However, in both cases you will essentially be copying over one calendar with another, not really synchronizing.

  • Sync Outlook 2003 with iPhone 3GS and 4

    Hello community,
I hope, I've placed my Issue on the right place in this forum.
There're some major issues, where I need some answers. And I really hope, anyone of you can help me to find it.
    Requirements:
In our Firm, we use Windows XP SP3 with Office 2002 (except Outlook, we needed to upgrade it to 2003...Don't ask why...). iTunes Versions 10.1 and 10.2 are installed on several computers. (do you need the exact version?)
    Problem:
I've read about some problems, synchronize the calendar, using Outlook 2003 and iTunes. Now most of the time, when the customer calls us on our hotline, it's the same problem they're complaning about. The calendar won't synchronize with the iPhone, only the contacts. Now what I found out, it's mostly the series schedule, which isn't working properly. If I put out those schedules, the other "normal" calendar entries are working fine. And then I gotta put every single series schedule into the calendar and synchronize. Then I find out, which entry is corrupt.
We've also tried to delete the synch. history and such, but there wasn't any success.
My question now: Is this problem well known out there? Or am I the only one who got this problem. If it's known, is there any better solution? Is there maybe a patch or an update? Is the Outlook 2007 or higher better for synchronisations?
I hope to get some answers. If there are any further questions, please feel free to ask me.
    With kind regards,
    PSchmid88

    Here's a Possible FIX!!
I ran into the same problem - Not able to Sync Outlook Notes after I upgraded my iPhone OS to 4.0 with iTunes 9.2.
Here's what I did to get that fix (aka to get around it).
I pretty much did all the standard procedure stuff. i.e. reinstalled iTunes, check and uncheck all Outlook related issues on iTunes.
The last thing that I did was to use an IMAP email account to bring Outlook Notes into iPhone.
** Try to do the standard procedures suggest by Apple and other users first. If it doesn't work, try this.
    1) Create an IMAP account on your OUTLOOK (I have Outlook 2007).
    2) Set up a SAME IMAP account on your iPhone.
    3) On your iPhone, you will see two switches (mails and notes), be sure both are "ON".
    4) Sync your iPhone and Outlook (be sure to check the "Sync Notes with Outlook" box.
    5) As usual, there is no guaranteed it will work the first time, but play around with it.
At least it works for me at last (after 5 hours of struggles).
Apple is not any help at all.

  • Synchronize Windows XP/Outlook 2003 with Dot-Mac?

I'm very curious whether anyone has come across an application I can load on Windows XP that will enable me to synchronize Outlook with my Dot-Mac account. This would be an ideal application from Apple to support converts from Windows to Mac but also for those of us who are forced to use a Corporate Windows box for business but who also use their Mac's to get the real work done
    I hope this isn't a pipe dream!

Thanks for the suggestion but I've already done that a couple of times each with a bit different perspective. The main reason I post ideas like this out on this forum is because I believe that the most creative solutions come from the real-world and people who enjoy coding to solve problems. Apple has become too big to concern themselves with every little feature or applet so they rely on independents to come up with the brilliant solutions while they focus on their core product.
At the end of the day, they don't have the ability nor agility to address these issues but they also don't want to pay salaries for developers to come up with one or two fixes so from their perspective, its a win-win.
Speaking from experience, people not under the proverbial thumb of a major corporation have much more creativity and are able to arrive at a solution typically much quicker. The only caveat to that is not having the resources available but the key to that is open source.
Philosophies aside, its my hope that someone out there in the forum community will have seen this and either is or knows of someone who is or has been working on a solution similar to this.
My .02 cents - thats why the posting - to inspire discussion and thought.
    Thanks!

  • Synching Contacts for Outlook 2003 with Business Contact Manager

Is there anyway to get the ipod Nano to sync with a business contact manager contacts list.
When I choose to sync it doesn't show me any groups or contact lists. It does sync my normal contacts but not my business contacts in business contact manager. DOes anyone know if Ipodsync will do this?

From Business Contacts, you can drag a business contact and drop it on the contacts database.  This creates a copy of the business contact in the traditional Outlook Contacts Folder which will synch to your BlackBerry.  It's manual and not a perfect solution but it works.

  • Trying to use the Tour 9630 with Outlook 2003 Calendar, Memo/Notes & Tasks. Can't Config & Complete....

I would like to use my Outlook 2003 with my Blackberry Tour 9630 to use the Calendar, Memo & Task features instead of entering everything on the BB. I use my Outlook Express 6 for my email input and output. The Outlook 2003 is not connected to the internet for use but on my computer as a free standing application. Everytime I attempt to config the Desktop with Calendar, Memo & Tasks I get a "Option Values is unacceptable. Pls check options properties". I do pick MS Outlook as the application to connect but continuely get that message above when I am at the end of the config process at selecting NEXT. I would like to use Outlook 2003 if it is ok to use and connect. Or is there any other application that I can easily purchase for an easier connect and config too. Pls assist me. Ed

Hello BklynBoy273 and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Have you entered any information into Outlook yet?
The BlackBerry communicates with the Outlook data folder, called a pst.
KB02362 may offer you some help trying to get the sync configured.
Let me know how you make out.
Thanks! And have a great day

  • How can I synchronize tasks with outlook 2003

In IOS 5 there exists a new app for tasks. How can I synchronize my tasks in Outlook 2003 with this new app?

I gave you a link to google task sync use it. This is a support forum, not a general chat forum so we like to close topic ASAP.
Lightning synchronization is discussed here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/using-lightning-google-calendar?esab=a&s=lightning&r=3&as=s and it works fine for calendar items.
Tasks are more difficult as there is no standard of what a task is, so synchronizing tasks to Google, yahoo and Hotmail would require three programs and another for every other service that is supported. That is simply a maintenance nightmare that I for one would want to have nothing to do with.

  • Sync Problem with Outlook 2003 Contacts

I had to replace the C: drive on my computer. I backed up all user files and settings prior to the disk replacement and restored them following the replacement. Prior to the disk replacement I had been syncing my contacts from Outlook 2003 with no problem. For reasons unknown to me the the sync process does not transfer any new additions in Outlook. It appears as though the sync process is finding an old source of data for the contact list. I have reset my iPod with no success in solving the problem. Is there any way to identify the file containg the contact sync data and either removing or resetting its' contents?

This problem doesn't lie inside of Outlook. (don't worry, there are plenty of other problems inside OutofLuck) You can set the Tools->Options->Other->Make Outlook the default.... but....
The real problem is they were lazy and used the Internet Options to determine the program that is the mail client. (Start->Control Panel->Internet Options->Programs) If you set the E-mail in there to the email program that you are actually using and not Outlook....ITunes/Outlook will have a hissy fit when you attempt to sync. (that's a technical term )
You have to set Outlook as the E-Mail program inside of Internet Options to get the sync to work properly.
(The real solution is to get them to let us designate the program INSIDE of Itunes rather than use the Internet Options setting.)
I email out of Adobe Acrobat all the time so I have to switch my email client in Internet Options to be Outlook when I sync and then back to my real mail program when I email. Stupid? Yes. Frustrating? Yes. Works? Yes. <sigh>

  • Failing to sync 9500 with outlook 2003 using PC Sy...

I have just updated to PC Sync 6.82.22.0
Synchronising with Outlook 2003 with the previous version was fine except for inability to synchronise some contacts, appointments and tasks (apparently at random) to the phone with only the message SyncML failed to synchronise the following entries to Client, or something to that effect.
Now I can't synchronise at all since I get the message:
'The synchroniser is unable to load the interface (Nokia.PCSync.OUTLOOK.|SynchAppU) required to support synchronisation with Microsoft Outlook. Please reinstall Nokia PC Suite.'
I have reinstalled twice and I still get the same error. Is there a solution or should I just rush out and buy an i-mate?

    The logs are now attached.
The file Regmon.log is rather lenghty (13878 lines) while Filemon.log has 4994 lines. The file Regmon.log is attached in two parts due to the size limitation for attachements.

  • Error message when opening pdf attachment in Outlook 2003

I have several computers in my network running different version of Adobe Acrobat...Adobe 6.0 standard, Adobe 7.0 standard, Adobe 8.0 standard and pro, and Adobe 9.0 standard and pro. The problem I am having with a few of my end users is that when they receive an e-mail in Outlook 2003 with a pdf attachment from certain companies that we deal with in the insurance industry, they receive an error message saying they can not open the file...
"Can't create file:XXXXXXXX.pdf. Right click on the folder you want to create the file in, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu to check permission for the folder."
The strange part about this is they can forward the e-mail to another end user that may or may not be using the same version of Adobe as them, but the other end user has no problem opening and viewing the pdf attachment (also, if the company sending the e-mail sends the same e-mail to another end user who has no issues, they can open it with just fine) Now here is where it gets really strange... if the end user that can view the file saves the file to their hard drive, then sends it back as the same attachment in an e-mail back to the end user that could not open the file originally, now that end user can open and view the pdf attachment. I have three end users that this affecting and they each have a different version of Adobe Acrobat with all of the latest updates. I am stumped and searches so far have revealed no solutions...
    Any ideas?

The can only open it on their machine if they save the pdf attachment after renaming it. All computers on the network have the latest Outlook 2003 updates, so it puzzles me that only three end users with the same version of Outlook 2003, with the same updates, are not able to view the attachment from Outlook, but the other users can. Also, why do those three end users have to rename the file if the save it to the their computer to be able to view it, but no one else has to. And, it is not every pdf attachment either, just some from certain people that send them an e-mail. Really puzzling issue that I need to get resolved...

  • ITunes not seeing Windows Address Book or Outlook 2003

When I try to sync my iPhone, it syncs the music, videos, etc, but under the Info tab in iTunes it doesn't show me any options to sync my contacts with, nor bookmarks, nor calendar, etc. I have Outlook 2003 with all the proper iTunes add-ins activated as well as Windows Address Book, but iTunes simply doesn't seem to see that I have these programs installed on my computer and that I can sync my iPhone with them! Anyone else has similar problems?

    Yep,
the first time I got sync probs, I also researched with the root cause is syncing. I tried just everything. It turned out, that address book is just not handling the contacts with all their data entries very well. .MAC, the iPod and the address book itself have all different capabilities to work with the extremly flexible way the contacts are saved. It basicly just works good if you have typed every contact manually into the address book or if they where imported with a very basic set of parameters (e.g. just name and address). Once they are imported from a different software and every contact has a full set of data, Apples address book is overstrained immediatly. And nothing improved thru years. I am starving for a third party application which integrates as good as Apple address book and is working as it is promising to.
When I just started with Mac, the address book probs almost made me resell my first MAC and get back to Linux or whatever.

  • How can I sync outlook 2003 contacts and calendars to icloud?

I know there is a tool for Outlook 2007 and later, but are there any solutions planned for Outlook 2003??

You are not alone - it took me two weeks to work out why I could no longer sync my ihpone to my PC and realised it was because Outlook 2003 is not supported.  Outlook 2010 will cost me c£100 - I've already spend a fortune on my iphone and new ipad - why on earth do I have to buy a piece of software I do not need in order to be able to sync my calendar wirelessly?  It is incredibly annoying.  I have tried to sync Outlook 2003 with Google Calendar first - but it just hangs.
You do need new software, yours won't work, a fact that was available to you when you chose iCloud.

  • Locate link browser window using windows 7 outlook 2003

I have been using windows 7 (64bit) along with outlook 2003 with no problem till today. All of a suddden everytime I click to open a link from within an outlook e-mail message  a "locate link browser window opens" I see lots of issues on the internet with Vista or XP but no specific causes or solutions with 7.

    Hi,
Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following:
    1.    Try to set your browser as Default in “Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Default Programs”:
Change which programs Windows uses by default
    2.    Please also try this:
The Locate Link Browser dialog box appears when you open a Web link in an e-mail message in Outlook 2003
Considering this issue is related to Microsoft Office, if the issue persists, it is recommended that you go to Microsoft Office Forum for further investigation:

    Hope this helps. Thanks.

  • Problem for synchronizing calendars between my iPOD 30GB and OUTLOOK 2003

    Hello,
I arrive to synchronize my contacts between my iPOD and OUTLOOK 2003 via iTunes, but not the calendars.
    Thank you for your help

If you have EVER sync'd Outlook 2003 with a PDA then iTunes will throw an error when trying to sync Calendars.
    THE FIX:
    Delete all calendar entries
(an easy way to do this is in Calendar select VIEW > Arrange By > Current View > Events)
Then Delete all entries by highlighting them all right click and select delete!
NOTE: You may have to repeat VIEW > ARRANGE By > Current View > {other categories in list i.e. "Category" and/or "Annual Events" and/or "Recurring Appointments"} To find all the entries that need to be deleted.
Once all of the calendar data is deleted you can re-input the data, but you can never sync it with a PDA otherwise you will develop the original problem again.
WHY DOES THIS WORK? Simply when a PDA syncs with Outlook it places a unique hidden identifer on each entry which screws up iTunes ability to sync with your calendars.
Hope this is clear and helps someone.
