SAP Material forecast/plan upload option

Hi Gurs,
Please let me know the process to upload sap materials forecast/plan upload.
rg
sam

H Mohammed Sameer,
Do you mean to load forecast value in matrial master then,
If  materail has no past consumtion data ia available.
In Material master maintain the Forecast view, you can maintain the consumption values there ( it will also take you directly in to addition data and consumption data), after maintaining the historical consumption values , click on execute fore cast or after saving the same run fore cast through MP30 and which will give forecast figures for future.
OR,
Just go to the MM02 transaction, go to a plant specific view such as purchasing or MRP. Then click on additional values, then click on the "Consumption" tab.
Then enter manual consumption figures for the historical months in the "corrected values" fields.

R.Brahmankar

We are using SNP heuristics for infinite planning, we have a key figure to maintain forecast. once we load the products into the planning book, we would like to download into local file which is possible and modify the numbers and re upload into the planning book. Advise if there is any option to upload the data from xls file to planing book.
In demand planning book, there is an option to download and upload however not able to see this option in SNP material view planning book.
Appreciate any help in this regard.

Thanks Ken for checking on this.
We will use copy and paste to load the data into SNP material planning book.

  • Material Forecast upload

    Hi all,
We are trying to upload material forecast weekly data by TCODE MM02. Our input file has 4 fields as below:
Plant, Material,     Weekly period, forecast value
    1101, 20222222,  2011/34,           120
    1101, 30222222,  2011/35,           110
    1101, 40222222,  2011/35,           130 and so on.
To create a upload program, we did the Recording and manually entered forcasting data  in u201CConsumption valsu201D which will automatically copy this data in u201CForecast valuesu201D by the system. But as in TCODE MM02, this weekly period is already populated and display only field so Recording is not capturing this field.
for example: Period is 2011/34 (Week 34 of year 2011). This 2011/34 is display only and we want to enter forecast value "120" for this week.
As recording is not capturing weekly period so how we can upload it?
Or Is there anyother way to upload material forecast weekly data? (FM, BAPI etc)
    Please help!

hi , you can use the following bapi for your requirement,
    BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA
    * Call the BAPI
    CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA'
      EXPORTING
        HEADDATA                   = HEADDATA
        CLIENTDATA                 = CLIDAOUT
        CLIENTDATAX                = CLIDAOUTX

  • SAP PM-BOM and Material/Spares planning

    Hi dear all
can some one help me how to use equipment BOM for Material/Spare planning effectively in SAP PM
    Vinod
Edited by: vnodpm on Sep 9, 2011 11:33 AM

    Hi,
BOMs in PM define the structure of that Object :eqpt, material,F.loc
Eqpt BOM is used specfic for that eqpt
Material BOM can be used for multiple eqpts in IE02 -->Construction type u can assign material BOM
    Similarly F.Loc BOM
You can use this BOMs for material planning in MO
Ex :- If a particular eqpt MOTOR has a BOM -> Then this BOM would be helpful for material planning in Maintenance Order -- Components ..
Spares mentioned in BOM can be directly used for selection into Component Tab .. this will serve u an easy material planning ..
More than this there is nothing .. to my knowledge ..

  • Use of forecast planning function in Integrated planning

    Hai ,
Can I Know What is the use forecast planning function in Integrated planning.
    Give me One Example.
Please tell What i hv to select in aggregation level, Filter, and Planning function for doing forecast.
    Regards
    Kishore.

    Hi,
Filter is indeed used in IP similar to how planning package was used in BPS. There really is no difference 'conceptually'.
What you have seen is the different options IP offers compared to BPS regarding planning function execution. You can execute planning function directly or using a planning sequence in an application (although in planning modeler, its only a planning sequence that can be executed, for eg., for testing purpose).
If you just execute a planning function without specifying any restriction, it will operate on the entire set of planning data. Whether its a planning sequence or planning function, the data it operates on can be restricted by binding the various characteristics (or variables) using various DPs in the application. What kind of dynamic selection are you looking at?

    Dear ,
Couple of cheks for you :

    2.Which txn are u trying to run the MRP ( MD01 with NETCH , Create PR -2, MRP List : 3 , Schedule Line : 1 , Scvhedluing -1 , Mark Display material before save )
3.Check the Planning File Entry of all those material in MDRE/MDAB/MD21

  • MAterial Resource Planning (MRP)

    Hi,
Can you tell me what is Material Resource Planning (MRP)? How & why is it used in SAP MM?
    Regards,
    Krutika

    hi
    it is Material Requirements Planning
Material Requirements Planning (MRP) enables you to plan material requirements for a manufacturing or procurement process.
MRP calculates gross requirements for the highest Bill of Materials level based on sales orders and independent demands. It calculates gross requirements at the lowest Bill of Materials levels by carrying down net parent demands through the Bill of Materials structure. The dependent levels might have their own independent demands, such as sales orders and forecasts.
The results of the MRP run are recommendations that fulfill gross requirements by taking into consideration the existing stock levels and existing purchase and production orders. The MRP run also takes into account defined planning rules for Order Multiple, Order Interval, and Minimum Order Quantity.
Recommendations are back scheduled by the defined lead time to arrive at the requirement dates for their own components.

  • Syntax error when running GLPLUP - Flex Plan Upload

    HI,
We want use transaction GLPLUP to perform a Flex Plan Upload, but encounter a syntax error in program RK50003 stating:
The following syntax error occurred in program "RK500003 " in include
      "PP_FISL_GINC " in
    line 652:
"The data object "ITDAT1" does not have a component called "XBILK"."
This program is a local object, and appears to be generated by SAP.  Checking the program attributes the owner and the last person to change this program is a consultant who has rolled off the project, and is not available for help.
I suspect that there must be some steps to regenerate this code, but I am not certain where to look for this information.
I have tried running GLPLDEL and GLPLINSTALL, but this did not change RK500003.
Any insight you can provide on this is greatky appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Roy

    HI,
I reported this issue with SAP and the following is what they had me do to resolve the issue:
    1. Run transaction GLPLDEL:
Deletes all generated reports of the planning processor for
FI-GL/SL planning (application class GLU1). After a new call of
the planning, these reports will be generated once again.
    2. Run transaction GLPLINSTALL:
It regenerates necessary database table entries for FI-G/SL Planning
(tables t8pl*). Make sure that you will perform this step when no
posting of FI-SL data is running.
This resolved the issue for us.
    Good luck,
    Roy

  • Non-SAP to SAP Material Master Data Transfer

    Hi Experts,
Please indicate any standard tools in SAP and how to use it wherein we can migrate non-SAP material master data to SAP.
    Points will be awarded.
    Regards,
    LM

    Hello Leo,
There are a number of options to do this. You can use the standard SAP tool named LSMW - Legacy System Migration Workbench (transaction LSMW) as a starting point.
Also please read this [Documentation|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/0d/414538bc0fe927e10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm] before undertaking the data migration activity via LSMW.
Additionally, there is also a Direct Input program available named RMDATIND - please go through the program documentation before you use it. You can use this program to transfer material master data to SAP but
make sure you assign this program through LSMW for mapping structures etc. The internet link above will give
more details and step-by-step instructions to follow.
    Hope this helps,
    Cheers,
    Sougata.
p.s. It is sad to see useful answers remain unrewarded such as this one!

  • FMPLUP-Plan uploading result OK while data not be posted, without Log

    Hi Expert
I have created planning layout and assigned to planner profile with excel integration. I've got the file description to be specific in the Flxible Upload screen.
When I upload data in transaction code FMPLUP, the result is OK. However, the plan data is not input to the layout / report. (I can directly post the planning in SAP.). I tried uploading by other file that not related to the file description. The result should be error but it still OK without any posting.
How should I resolve this plan uploading issue?

First I want to ask about planning layout. What tcode did you use when you create the planning layout? Is FMPLLI?
I ever created the planning layout with excel integration. Then I use tcode FMPLCPD to insert the budget planning with form based.

  • SAP PP (Production Planning) Master Data Definitions

SAP PP (Production Planning) Master Data Definitions and Transaction codes.

SAP PP (Production Planning) Master Data Definitions
    • Factory Calendar
    • Material Master
    • Resource • Bills of Material (BOM)
    • Production versions
    • Master recipe
Factory Calendar: The factory calendar is defined on the basis of a public holiday calendar. The public holiday and factory calendar is a central module in the SAP System. It is assigned to a specific plant during the initial system setup and therefore used in many areas (e.g. in Logistics and in Human Resources) in the system.
Material Master: Material master comprises if all the basic data of the material for each department. The data covers all the relevant information required for the transactional flow e.g. sales, Planning, Production, Quality, Purchasing, Costing etc. Material master covers all the descriptive and control data and the flow of information depends on fields maintained within it. The integration of all material data in a single database object eliminates redundant data storage. Material Masters are created once and can be changed or extended whenever required
Bill of Materials: Bill of Materials or commonly called BOM is a formally structured list of components that make up a product or assembly. The list contains the material number of the component together with the quantity and unit of measure. BOMs are used in their different forms in various situations where a finished product is assembled from several component parts or materials. Resources: Resources are production facilities and persons involved in a production process that have capacities. They are subdivided into categories to specify their suitability for certain purposes or their use in certain processes
Product Versions: A production version determines which alternative BOM is used together with which task list/master recipe to produce a material or create a master production schedule. For one material, we can have several production versions for various validity periods and lot-size ranges. The production version determines the following:
    • The BOM alternative for a BOM explosion.
    • The task list (master recipe) and any alternate, as needed.
    • Lot-size restrictions and validity parameters.
Master Recipes: A master recipe defines the following data that is required for the production of materials without relating to a particular order: processing steps, resources, material components, and control information for the process control level. Master Recipe enables to plan the production of materials (products). Therefore, Master Recipe is used as a template for process orders and run schedules as well as a basis for product costing. In a Recipe
    • The Phases (work steps) to be carried out during production.
    • The activities to be performed in the operations as a basis for determining dates, capacity requirements and costs.
    • The use of materials during production.
    • The use of resource.
