My old SAP Mentor Backpack is now stitched in two places where the sharp corners of my Alienware pierced the nylon or whatever the fabric is.

Unable to locate SAP Tutor 2.2 as in Note 1071313 - SAP Tutor Windows

Hi all,
I wanted to download SAP Tutor 2.2. Note 1071313 - SAP Tutor Windows Vista Compatibiity guides me to:
SAP Tutor 2.2 is released for customers and can be downloaded from the following path:
service.sap.com/swdc-> Download -> Installations and Upgrades -> Entry by Application Group -> SAP Application Components -> SAP TUTOR -> SAP Tutor 2.2
But I am unable to find the file. It seems to have been moved. Any ideas?

Out of office message when sending mail to Lotus Notes from SAP

Hi,
Is it possible to have an 'out of office' message when sending mail to Lotus Notes from SAP?
I'm sending account statements by mail via a modified version of function FI_OPT_ARCHIVE_CORRESPONDENCE. The SAP username is send as a parameter, and later converted to the e-mail saved in the user profile. This works, - but I would like to have an out of office reply if the user I send to is out of office.

As Thomas pointed out, you can use regular SMTP mail to send the contents to Lotus Notes. You can use the function module SO_OBJECT_SEND or any of the SAP Office function modules to do this.
Only thing to remember is that the SMTP may have been disabled by your basis team due to security risks involved. An alternative could be a lotus notes connector available from IBM.

On-line Support System is a service that SAP offers to their customers in order to manage situation in which you have to involve SAP in order to find a solution to your problem...if there are some errors in the std program, SAP can provide a note that contains the instructions to solve the issue..but notes are related also to FAQ, performance issues, consulting....
you can search for a note by www.service.sap.com/notes or from your system with the transaction OSS1..
Time to time SAP releases solutions of our (SAP) product as in form of notes. So it is just explanation of problem in SAP. You can use as a details of soln of your problem.
OSS Note are nothing but correction/enhancement codes for a bug or error. When SAP releases a product it may have some bugs which are discovered later. Hence SAP releases the correction code as a OSS Note.
We raise OSS notes when we are not able to resolve some of the issues or say some standard functionality/feature is not working out in BW and we ask help from SAP to resolve those. In turn, SAP comes back with a solution documented as an OSS note.
You can logon into http://service.sap.com/notes
OSS note is a document provided by SAP that described particular issue, usually with symptom, cause(the reason), solution provided, and some other info (correction instruction and code).
OSS note has version, date issued, and categorized to application area (e.g BW, CRM, etc).

Component SAP ABA 7.02 does not show up in sproxy in CRM 7.0 EhP 1

We upgraded our CRM system from CRM 7.0 to CRM 7.0 EHP 1.
This involved an upgrade from NetWeaver 7.01 to 7.02, i.e. also ABA 7.01 to 7.02.
In sproxy in the CRM system we can only see
SAP CRM ABAP 7.0
SAP_BS_FOUNDATION 702
various custom software components.
SAP ABA 7.02 with the interfaces for e.g. business partner distribution is missing.
(When switching to the local view, they are shown and BP replication works.)
So I went into the SLD and looked at the technical system for CRM. Indeed the product "SAP NetWeaver SAP EhP 2 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0" was not marked as installed. So I added it. On the right-hand side under Software Component Versions "SAP ABA 7.02" is now listed.
i then went to the business system for one of the clients and also selected the product "SAP NetWeaver SAP EhP 2 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0" there and I can see the SWCV "SAP ABA 7.02".
I tried restarting both the PI and the CRM instances.
Nevertheless in sproxy in CRM nothing changed.
What else could be missing?

I am setting up SAP ESS EHP5 with EP 7.3. The overview page is working but nothing happens when clicking on the service links, and this info message is generated for each click:

Time Out parameter in SAP BW

Hello
I wanted to know if the Time Out Parameter in SAP BW shoul have the same value of the business object time Out parameter?

Hi,
In BW you will rdisp/wp_max_runtime has a program execution timeout parameter ..
BO is a web-based application and hence it will not have same parameter. In BO you will have HTTP timeout parameter.

SAP Script O/P is not comming

Hi,
when i make a t-code for my SAP-script Program it is not comming properly in print form.
But when i run my print program in se38 it is comming proper out put.
Plz help me what is the cause behind this isue.

Hi Sunil,
I have faced the same problem.
1)First Check initial screen and specify appropriate start object --> select 2nd radio button (For Reports)
2) On Seciond screen :-
     Please check all the fields
     Transaction text --> Give the specific text
     Program --> Give the report name
    Screen number --> 1000 (Keep it standard)
    Authorization object --> can be empty.
3) GUI Support --> Tick all the check box.

NWDS 7.0.0.8 = NWDS SAP NetWeaver 2004s Edition SP8.
So, there's basically no difference in installing any of these.
The problem might be in the fact that you extracted the installation into some subfolder on your filesystem. The installation contains a very deep folder structure, which Windows cannot handle if you extracted into some subdir. You will not get an error about this though, the installation just thinks it's finished although it has not copy all files yet.
I suggest extracting to the root of one of your disks and retry the installation from there.

SAP IGS: JCO.Server could not find server function 'PIGFARMDATA'

Is there a way to find out if the sap-language parameter was supplied?

Hi all,
I wanted to find out if the url parameter sap-language was supplied or not. I thought that I can read that with request->get_form_field, but the system automatically applies the new language and the parameter is not accessible this way. Is there any other way to check that? I could try it using javascript on the layout, check the url from the javascript and then using self-submitting form transfer that to the backend, but maybe there is some nicer solution?

Why do you want to get it from browser URL while you can get it from ABAP?
I think you can try SY-LANGU to get the language of user.
