SAP message wizard in business one customer portal

Hello,
when ever i am trying to create a message to sap using Message wizard related to the problem,
we got a message that no authority for this function.and i have
super administrator authority.can anybody suggest where could be the problem.

Hi Kashif,
Please check the authorisation may be you don't have sufficient authorisation. When you get this error then type in tcode menu /nsu53 and find out the exact problem.
Accroding to problem provide authorisation and you will be able to use sm02 t-code for send the message.

You can also install a single sign-on certificate from here, save entering username and password each time.

Business One Customer Checkout (POS)

I can't seem to find much information on SAP Business One Customer Checkout. Does anyone have any links?

The license of SAP Customer Checkout is based on the device metric. So a customer has to check on how many devices he plans to run SAP Customer Checkout and order then the corresponding quantity. How many users are using the device does not matter.A device can be a traditional point of sale computer system, a tablet (like IPad, Surface,…) or a smartphone.
Example: A company has 5 different stores, in each store there are 2 devices from which SAP Customer Checkout is used the customer has to order 10 licenses. It does not matter if he has 10 or 50 cashiers.

SAP Business One 9.1

Hello,
At the moment I am using SAP Business One 8.81 with Inventory Pro add on
We are looking to change to 9.1 which has no Inventory Pro as I am told
If we have issues with Items stuck in SYS_Bin and REC_Bin and when you Goods Receipt Items with Serial Numbers it duplicates the same Serial Number
What I am asking is will these problems be easier to fix with 9.1 or do they need to be fixed prior to the upgrade?

Message Board taskflows - useless in custom WebCenter Portal application?

Hi,
I am developing custom Webcenter portal application. I have added Message Board - wall viewer taskflow (/oracle/webcenter/peopleconnections/wall/controller/taskflows/WallViewer.xml#WallViewer) to the page. In binding parameters, I can set parameters like userId (I have set it to #{securityContext.userName}). After that each user can post to the wall and see his previous entries. But how can I let my user see posts from other users?
I have connected from my portal to WebCenter Spaces via Webservice API. Created group space named 'myspace' with API and added users as members. I also set my custom portal application to use the same database as Spaces application, to be sure that group spaces I create and entries from Message Board will be stored in the same database.
But when I try to use binding paramter spaceName (I set it to #{'myspace'}) I get error message "Failed to find the space of the message board."
So how can I display messages from group space in my custom portal via Message Board taskflow? In custom portal I only managed to achieve situation, where single user can only see his own posts, what makes this taskflow pretty useless

I did further research, maybe this will give you a clue:
I browsed into code of Message Board taskflow (peopleconnections-view.jar -> oracle.webcenter.peopleconnections.wall.controller.taskflows.WallViewer.xml). The first activity in this taskflow is method call - checkGroupSpaceName, which execures method bound as #{pageFlowScope.WCPeopleConnWallViewerBean.checkGroupSpaceName}
I decompiled oracle.webcenter.peopleconnections.wall.internal.view.WallViewerBean class. In checkGroupSpaceName method there is a line
scope = ServiceContext.getContext().findScope(spaceName)
On the jspx page where Message Boards taskflow is added, I've put a line:
<af:outputText value="#{serviceCtx.allScopes}" id="pt_ot2"/>
which displays as output:
[Scope[name=defaultScope, guid=s8bba98ff_4cbb_40b8_beee_296c916a23ed]]
So clearly Webcenter does not "see" the scope of any space, especially it doesn't see "myspace" scope.
Any ideas what do do?

If you are an SAP Business One partner, you should speak with your SAP Channel Manager to get you the materials that you need. If you are an SAP Business One customer, you should contact you local SAP Partner.

SAP Business One 8.8 - Customer Receivables Ageing Report

Hi All,
We have one client on ramp up for SAP Business One 8.8. They love the new version and the feedback has been exceptional. I have one issue with the customer receivables ageing report. Once the results are displayed we are applying a filter on the report which does not seem to meet our expectations (Possible Bug?) We are trying to filter a particular ageing column only to display values if they are greater than 0 for that column. The filter partailly works since it displays the values greater than 0 but it also displays values where the column value = "Blank" thus not achieving the desired result! Does anybody know how to do this and if not should I log this on the SAP Messages Dashboard?
I have also tried to use a condition where the column is not equal to blank but then again it displays customers who have a negative balance in that column! Once again not the desired result.
Any help / feedback will be much appreciated!

Hi,
Please check by selecting any amount appearing in the list in the column you are filtering in the "Greater than". After selcting the value update the same to be zero and then filter the results.
Check if it bring the desired results.
Also, if not, please update us with the patch you are checking in order to test.

They want a package solution for their internet and extranet (clients and suppliers). The extranet will access SAP Business One.
We are considering to implement SAP NetWeaver Portal for the extranet.
Do you think this is possible? What about SSO?

I am not sure about the SAP NetWeaver Portal. You may want to ask that question in the NetWeaver Discussion Forum.
With respect to the SAP Business One Integration for SAP NetWeaver product ... this technology is not providing a portal in which to access SAP Business One from a web interface. The SAP Business One Integration for SAP NetWeaver is a technology that seamlessly integrates SAP Business One with mySAP with respect to the integration of transactions and master data flow between the two systems from a headquarters/subsidiary(s) standpoint.

SAP Business One 8.8 System Messages

In SAP Business One 8.8 when you have entered a document with a later posting then today if you then enter a document with todayu2019s date you receive the System Message "There is a document of this type with a later posting date". If you select the option 'Block Documents with eelier posting date' you know longer receive this message however we still need to the option to do this.
I have a number of clients that would like to have the ability to turn this message on or off

Yes I know you can select u2018OKu2019 and move on with the entering of a marketing document, however this is an extra click and when you are entering a large number of documents a day this can become painfully and that is the feedback from the customers, is there a reason why this could not be an option in the company settings? I know this will not happen overnight and this is why I posted the question of the development collaboration forum.

Yes. Messaging service should started automatically.
I think you need add your object name under Messaging service-->Right click-->Choose properties---Log on tab.. then this service starts automatically.

SAP Upgrade wizard crashes on upgrading users SAP Business One 8.82 PL12 to 9.0 PL5

I have an issue while upgrading, present we are using SAP Business One 8.82 PL12. We would like to upgrade SAP Business One 9.0 PL 5 as per SAP Overview note SAP Business One 9.0 PL5.

SAP Business One Message Billing

One of our client is using MICROS POS system. We want to import the invoices to SAP business One 2007A using the format of Invoice provided in Data Transfer Workbench (after exporting Invoices from MICROS POS). We have tried the data transfer workbench for this purpose. We are at critical juncture.
We tried to input a .csv file to of Invoices in DTW, but it is showing an error after trying for several times. Please guide us on how we can import invoices at day end in SAP Business One, Please advise. Alternative suggestions would be welcomed as well.

Can you tell us what the error is that you are receiving as this would help direct you to a solution.
Also, there are samples of how to import invoices as well as other documents that come with the DTW. You may want to reference these for help also.
You can find this information by clicking Start > All Programs > SAP Business One > Data Migration > Templates and look at the Data Preperation examples.
