Functional Specs differs from client to client how they use it. Anyways from ur client u can take the specs it shd be in the Process Database.
In general the Spec has the following info ....
1. Process Owner.
2. Requested by :
3. SAP MM consultant incharge( Ur Name )
4. Abaper, If required.
5. Integration Team Members.
6. AS- IS & TO- BE
7. If any User exits or enhancements needed then mentiion in details.
Insense the config & Tech part need to be developed shd be mentioned clearly.

However, the heading structure may look as follows:
Normally there would be a template to prepare functional specs.
Recording version history is mandatory.
Give the document number as agreed( There would be a logic for this)

HI Jaya,
Functional Specification format will be generally decided and agreed by the client. There is no standard functional specification. And by the way what is a functional specification? It is a detailed description of your functional required to the ABAP development team.
There is a terminology called FRICE (Forms, Reports, Interfaces,Conversions,Enhancements). Based on these five you will prepare your functional specification. Either the requirement is for forms or an interface like that.
As you mentioned that you are having some templated. Select the one which is more descriptive take your clients approval that this is the format going to be used and go ahead.

IMac spec help required for virtualisation needs.

Hi I currently own a MBP 13" core 2 duo with 4GB ram and its hardware limitations are becoming apparent for my needs and I cannot increase the memory any further.
I have recently taken a career change and started working in IT which I love to bits. As part of my job I have to complete several Microsoft Exams.
I learn by doing practice scenarios and have been using Parallels 6 for Mac, virtualising 2 Windows 7 and getting them to communicate to each other etc. There will be other things to learn down the line. I like Parallels because you can flip easily between OSX and MS take snapshots etc. However my current MBP does struggle (it pages to the HDD and the fans do kick in) & I am looking for another Mac as I like the all in one form factor screen etc, I don't want a beige box.
I would really like another MBP but the memory only goes up to 8Gb Ram so considering the iMac range but with the iMac comes limitations - portability.
As I progress with my new career I will have to take further exams in further subjects such as Windows Server 2008 R2 & Exchange 2010 and so on.
I would like to continue using Parallels 6 but my main issues is the spec.
A training example I maybe thinking of is:
1 to 2 Windows 7 Virtual clients
1 Windows Server 2008 R2 with SP2 running a Domain & Exchange 2010
or to replicate real world scenario
as above but 2 * Windows 2008 Server R2 (1 with a Domain controller the other with Exchange 2010).
I may also want to learn Windows Small Business Server - so something similar to the above.
This will (ideally) be running on OSX using Parallels 6.
With this in mind I am considering:
iMac 27" 2011 -
3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
4GB ram Plus 8Gb purchased separately totalling 12GB (may consider maxing out to 16gb if needed)
256 Gb SSD with the 2TB HDD
I understand that I will have to balance the needs of OSX and the guest operating systems I am hoping the i7 will give me this flexibility as there are virtual cores.
eg Host - OSX - 2CPU's & 4GB ram
2* Win 7 - 1 CPU shared & total of 2GB ram
Windows 2008 R2 (Domain controller) - 1 CPU & 2GB ram
Windows 2008 R2 with Exchange 2010 & test mailboxes etc - allocate 2 CPU's (hoping that the virtual cores come into play) & 4GB ram.
As this is going to be a testing & learning environment there isn't going to be a massive load on the exchange box or loads of clients accessing so I am hoping the memory & cpu requirements are going to be ok.
My main questions are:
1- Will the above iMac spec do?
2- Should I max out the ram to 16gb?
3- Is the standard AMD Radeon HD 6970M 1GB do or should I upgrade to the 2GB due to the number of virtual machines.
4- As this iMac will cost some money could I get away with an i5???
5- Will it perform ok - ie will my OSX environment and my guest os's work smoothly without any lag
6- Will the i7 Virtualisation of the CPUs work (as in my real world scenario I have run out of "actual cpu's!!)
7- Is there a likely hood that the iMac could over heat with all the work that I am asking it to do?
8- Confirm my gut feelings that a MBP would not be able to do the the tasks I am asking it to do?!!!
10 - Any suggestions to getting my MBP to connect remotely to the iMac so I can do virtualisation work on it?
11- Has anyone done something similar and got any advice / tips on their setup.
12- Should I just not bother using OSX and just use Microsoft Hyper V (still on an iMac though)
Any answers / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

2. No, I think 8GB is find, but if you are planning on running 4 or 5 VMs at the same time then maybe 12GB.

hi there trunc function is appropiate because in round and ceil function return
rounded value that is 99.99
ie
SELECT ROUND(99.9899,2) FROM dual;
99.99
SELECT ceil(99.9899) FROM dual;

99but the trunc
Returns n truncated to m decimal places, where m and n are numeric arguments. If m is omitted, truncates to 0 places. If m is negative, truncates (makes zero) m digits to the left of the decimal point.

Now in User Defined Function (UDF) of Message Mapping I will open Socket Connection.
Send CRM XML request to socket and get XML response from Socket and then map to some system.
Can I write Java Class code in User Defined Function (UDF) of Message Mapping instead of Java Mapping in blog below?

Do you have a structure for your response...if you do then you can do extended reciever det with sync/async..shouldent matter, i just tried it and i dont get any error.
in your reciever determination..Check the box for standard rec det then add your first condition..of the value of a field to true..then send to A..
then you select add condition..and add for second reciever..that should be it, you shouldent need a bpm for such a simple scenario..it definetly is an overkill.

In the functional specifications, you need to tell which Tables and Fields should be picked up for displaying the data. Specifically for TDS some of the common tables are WITH_ITEM
Also look at J1IENMIS. Much of teh information you require is there in the new TDS Report for India, though not exactly in the same order

HI,
Pls go to T-Code : NACE. Inside this choose the application as V3 and press the button Output Types in the application toolbar.
If your client is using std output type then choose the type: RD00 and press on processing routines. Here in this screen, we can find out the script/smartform name along with the driver pgm name.
The same procedure is applicable for customized output types.

You cannot expect someone to explain logic for the functional spec.
(and one cannot explain also through this forum)
Better you can discuss with your MM functional consulatnt who has given this spec and code according to the requirement.

Please provide me step-by-step solution to upload data into any SAP table with the help of RFC function in Data Services.
I have created RFC function that upload data into SAP table. RFC Function contains one table that has same structure as my database table.
In the data services how can i filled the table of RFC function, i am using this function in query transform of data services but it gives me error.

Hi Abhishek,
Did you import the function module in the SAP datastore first? When you open the SAP datastore, the function should be listed in the 'functions' section. If not, import it. Make sure your function is remote executable.
Once the function is there, you can use it in a transformation. In 'Schema Out' right-click on 'Query' (top level) and choose 'New Function Call'. You can then select a datastore and a function in the datastore. The wizard will show you which output parameters are available. I believe you have to add at least one and can select as many as you like.
After confirming your selection the function and the output parameters appear in Schema Out. You can then right-click on the function and choose 'Modify function call'. A popup will appear where you can specify the input parameters.

Since You are already a SD Consultant, We assume you are very much familliar with SAP and for you CRM will also be not a big Deal.
Customer Relationships Management (CRM) is a model for managing any Organization's interaction with current and future customers. It involves technology to organize, automate and synchronize SALES, SERVICES(postsales) AND MARKETING(presales).
First of all you need to get SAP CRM installed in your system and then you need to get command over Account and Contact Management (Business Partner). The same can be learned using WebUI or GUI. From GUI the transaction launcher is WUI then web page opens up enter your credentials and select Role - Salespro. Open the Account and Contact section and do some R&D and you can learn. But in GUI you need to go to SPRO -> IMG -> Cross Application Components -> SAP Business Partner -> Business Partner -> Basic Settings -> Number Ranges & Groupings -> Define Number Ranges. Here you have defined number range then you need to assign to some group created from SPRO same way. And Finally maintain Business Partner using Tcode - BP.
Then You Learn Organizational Management which allows us to map our marketing, sales, service structure maintaining company's structure including the position and Employees in an Application and assign specific attributes to the otganizational units.
Path: SPRO -> IMG -> CRM -> Master Data -> Organizational Management -> Organizational Model -> Create Org Model/Change org model.
Just Go ahead and with some more R&D in the system and taking of F1 Help of SAP Documentation I think you can easily learn SAP CRM.
