SAP MM Org structure

Hi,
Is it mandatory to create Purchasing Groups in SAP MM.
Also how to assign the user to respective groups in case we want to restrict thm from buying certain product groups.
Is Pgrp assigned to Porg in anyways.
Thanks

Hi
Purchase Group is an Independent Organization Unit which do not have any intervention with other.
You can use the purchase group to take advantages like
Reports and Analysis based on Purchase group
You have standard match code in SAP to search by purchase group (any master data, Documents and etc)
Even have better control of what you are buying and who is responsible for the purchase
You can have approval process of PR & PO and other purchasing document based on Purchasing group
You can have notification process by the Purchase group
If you do not want to have these advances or not required then yes you do not need to create purchase group at all, you can change the field selection to your document as suppress or optional
Thanks

  • Distributing SAP HR Org structure to SRM

Has anybody distributed HR Org data to SRM. We are using IDOC HRMD_ABA throgh PFAL but in the SRM system most of the IDOCS are failing because they are not loaded in the right sequence. Does anybody have any idea of how it should be loaded?

    Hi Malgorzata Kaminska,
We had similar kind of requirement which we could acheive with
    01)  Write a custom program which calls the standard SAP T-code PFAL or (RHALEINI)
    02)  In the Exit R/3 outbound IDOCs, filter the PERNRs to exclude the list you do not want to.  If the list is static, you can maintain in a custom table one time and in the outbound idoc exit, check an entry exists in the table and exclude the PERNRs.  If the PERNRs are dynamic, then when the PERNR gets created, write another exit to populate in this custom table for PERNRs exclusion.
    03)  The custom program of point 01) will pick all the necessary PERNRs for replication and submit in the PFAL as select single.
    04)  The variant in the PFAL can have an evaluation path as P-S-O and executed under update mode.
    Hope this helps!!!

  • Integrate the Org structure and employees SAP HR system to CRM via ALE

    Hi All,
We want to integrate the organization structure and employees from mySAP HR system to mySAP CRM system. We are also aware that the same can be achieved through ALE Interface between both these systems.
In addition to the HR Organization Structure from HR system, can we also bring over the Sales Organization Structure from R/3 using transaction CRMC_R3_ORG_GENERATE?
    1) Can someone , please let us the possible challenges which might occur when we download HR Org structure from SAP HR to SAP CRM.?
    2) What is the implication of maintaining an HR org structure and CRM Sales Org structure within the SAP CRM 52 system?
    3) Any _precautions) should we take before doing the download via ALE??
Please get back, suitable points will be awarded.
    Regards
    Ritvij

    Hi Ritvij,
Couple of things that spring to mind are:
    1) When you do the initial data load (PFAL) try to ensure that no one is amending the Org structure as Objects can be locked and therefore not transferred. (on one of our test loads the top level was locked and therfore all subsequent levels were just transfered and we didn't have a top level)
    2) Keep the 'forms of address' in CRM the same as the R/3 ones
    3) Keep the same Employee and Org Unit IDs but prefix with (for exmaple) EM and OU in CRM. (Through the HR integration config in CRM). This may also (apparantley) aid you if set up something like an Employee interaction centre in the future.
I will update when other stuff springs to mind.
    Cheers

  • Org structure in SAP SNC

    Hi All,
What is the Org structure in SAP SNC???
    Thanks
    Best Regards,
    Sanjay

    Hi Sanjay
    >If one R/3 location is CIFed to SNC what it will become in SNC??
Each Supply Chain units in R/3 like Plant,Vendor,Customer,Supplier etc are handled as locations in SAP SNC or SAP SCM
Lets say a Plant XYZ is refered as location XYZ of type 1001 in SAP SNC
Go to transaction in SAP SNC /SAPAPO/LOC3 - Location
You will see field Location Type :
    1001     Production Plant
    1002     Distribution Center
    1007     Storage Location MRP Area
    1010     Customer
    1011     Vendor
Basically in SAP SNC/SCM all these are locations, where planning happens, to map them back to R/3, they differentiate these locations based on location type.
    >What is the BP no. and what is the role of that location that CIFed Location??
BP no corresponds to the organizational unit.
This comes into picture, in order to share the internal application (SAP SNC owned by OEM-Original Equipment Manufacuturer)  to thier supply chain members like customer, supplier and sub contractor
They brought this BP concept, where an external supply chain unit is defined as BP of type Organisation and the necessary users(internet users/persons) are created under it
Now the mapping happens in location master /SAPAPO/LOC3 in the field Business Partner Number
    >Is it not having BP no.?? Is the Storage location not taken into picture in SNC???
Yes it can have the B.P no provided before cifing, you enable the option both
    in cfm1 field Create Loc./BP
This is only available for vendors, customers
For plants you will have to create manually in SAP SNC and assign it in location master
Storage locations are not handled in SAP SNC, I think Nikhil already mentioned it

  • ERP EIC & Org Structure Mapping - SAP HCM

    Hi All
Can any one provide me information on Org Structure Model for EIC shared Service Centre and how to map with existing org structure? If we create 4 levels of SSC (Level 1 , 2,3 & 4) We will be creating 4 org units but do we need to create these 4 new org units related to existing org structure of the company? Or is it an independent? How do we map it? Looking for some general advice on this to proceed with creating new structure for SSC.
Appreciate if any one can guide on this.
    Thanks & Regards
    Kumar

    Hi,
You have to define one Root organization unit and depending on the degree of Reporting structure you have to define sub organization units.
If you have Four chief positions  in four org units & having subordinates in four  Org Units (grades) you are suggested to create four org. units.

    Hi Masa,

So you mean one company code will have one Pur. Org.
Every Plant will have 3 pur groups.
As I told there are 150 cost centers. Each VP will have  min. 15 max .. 60 cost centers with him ...controlled by him.
Should I assign users  by plant, Pur group  or all under one Company OR cost center wise.

  • Not able to see hierarchial org structure by clicking on Expand this branch

    Dear experts,
I am currently using the Online data extraction via sap for Nakisa Integration with SAP Landscape.
I have completed the configuration of Nakisa with the help of configuration guide and administrator guide - After completing administrator steps the org chart is visible - When i navigate to the org structure i can see the org unit under the org structure root that i configured as an administrator in the general settings section.
When i click the + sign ie on expand this branch i am not able to see all teh org units under the displayed branch.
Can you please guide me regarding how one can view the org structure below the selected branch when i click on expand this branch section.
Manager Personnel Id is not maintained for this org unit - Should the user clicking on the expand this branch be the manager of the org unit to see the org structure.
    Regards
    HKishan

    Dear Luke,
I am not able to see that navigation icons within an org chart box - The org unit that is displayed on clicking the orgchart does have branches in SAP but i am not able to see these navigation icons that lead me to these branches.
Is there any specific step that needs to be done to see these branches.
By the way what is the log file you are refering to is it the "PresentationResources.xml " or is it any other log file.

  • Asset exclusion is selected though it is excluded in the org. structure.

    Hi SRM gurus,
We are working on a Standalone scenario (SRM 4.0) where we have assets and asset classes.
In our org. structure we have excluded two asset classes with the exclusion indicator to the corresponding attributes of the purchasing organisation.( Asset class - ANK). But when we create a SC all the assets are selected in the Item details --> Cost assignment ---> dragdown (asset).
From our case it seems there is no effect of the exclusion indicator/ we made something wrong somewhere.
Can we get few suggestions/sap notes from the group that what went wrong?
    Thnx. & Reg.,
    Sridhar.

    Hi Mani,
Thanks a lot for your reply.
If the exclusion indicator is maintained at user level also it is not working.( all
assets are selected from the list and there is no difference between the others)
May I get any further suggestions on this issue pls.
    Thx. & reg.,
    Sridhar.

  • How to get PNP Org Structure to reflect the org structure as of key date?

I created a custom program using the PNP logical database.  I defined a custom report category indicating the selection period = employee selection period and allowing org.structure.  I’m also using the standard SAP PNP_DEFAULT selection view.
Inside my ABAP I initialize the pnpbegda and pnpbegps to reflect 20060930.  Upon Execution the key date reflects 09/30/2006.  I click on the org.structure button.  The org.structure displayed reflects the one as of today rather than as of Sept-30.
During run debug I see that the RP_PNP_ORGSTRUCTURE  program, LRPPNU11, calls function 'RH_TYPE_STRUC_HELP' to get the org.structure.  The call to this function passes 09/30/2006 for the begda and endda, but it still returns the latest org.structure.  I did some playing with this function and found that if I also pass the ACT_SEARCH_WEGID as ORGEH it works.
Any idea on how I can get the LRPPNU11 program to pass the ACT_SEARCH_WEGID or the subsequent called functions to process for ORGEH?

thanks. but maybe I don't describe my problem well.
I use javascript to get some information such as position, sytle of each elements and then pass these to javafx. So the besides the dom tree, I can get more information about elements.
I need to pass them back to javafx.
if node support setUserData, I can associate them to each Node/Element. But webkit don't support this feature.
BTW, If javascript pass a object to javafx. it can only deal with primary types such as string, numeric. But I need pass back a complicated javascript object like:
    {name:"parent", children:[{name:"child1"},{name:"child2"}]
    I can use (String)JSObject.getMember("name"); and JSObject children=JSObject.getMember("children");
but I can't cast children to Object[] or JSObject[].
so I have to use some tricky to convert Javascript Object to json string and then in javafx convert it back to Object tree.
