Hi
Source list means list of sources (vendors)available for a particular material to procure.
The purpose of source list is for a material how many source are there to supply.
Steps:
1. while creating MM01 (Material Master) in the purchasing View in other data TICK the SOURCE LIST which makes it mandatory.
While creating Scheduling agreement you have to maintain source list in ME01
The following data are entered.
It contains material, plant, pur org, vendors with validity period from & to so that whether you can procure from the vendor or not.
Following T/Code activities in Material Management module.
Maintain source list  -  ME01
Display source list  -  ME03
Display changes to source list -  ME04
Analyze source list  -  ME06
Reorganize source list  -  ME07
Generate source list  -  ME05
Display source list for material-  ME0M
you make the system settings that are necessary for purchasing operations carried out using source lists.
Source list requirement for materials, It may be necessary to include possible vendors of a material in the source list before the material can be ordered.
The Source list requirement field in the purchasing data of the material master record indicates whether a source list requirement exists for a material.
You can define the Source list requirement at plant level in IMG.  Logistics -->Materials management --> Purchasing --> Source list.
Here you can see the plants for which a source list requirement exists.

  • Automatic creation of Source list

    Hi All,
My requirement is to create a source list after a material and a Purchase Inforecord is created. I have heard that there is a Program in standard SAP which I can run to create a Source list right after a Purchase inforecord is created.
We have an enhancment to create Purchase Info records and we want to include this source list program at the end of this enhancment.
    Any thoughts will be helpful.
    Regards
    Shane.

    Hi All,
Is there any BADI available to mark all the vendors as Fixed vendors in the Sourcelist using ME05. I am sure we can Goto ME05 to create sourcelist collectively for all the materials in a plant, but besides that I want them to create as Fixed vendors. To do this user has to go into the transaction and select all records and hit the tab FIX to set it for all records.
As everytime a PIR is created, this Sourcelist program gets triggered and created with a Fixed vendor.
Thank you all for your responses

  • How to select the vendor from the source list in the PO(me21n) screen ??

    Hi
How to select the vendor from the source list in the PO(me21n) screen.
Is there any Sources of Supply tab in the PO just like we have in the PR.
I don't want a PO raised from a PR which has got the Vendor assigned to it already.
Or the SAP doesnot provide the option of Source list/Assign source/Sources of Supply .....in the PO.
    Kindly reply

There is not any facility available for Source Determination in PO. Only you can select the line item and click Menu Environment > Source List and view the list of sources available for the material but you can not chooss and assign. If you wan to assign the vendor then change the vendor already entered in PO and put the desired vendor.

  • In the source list contract Number is  not showing up.

    On 10.11.2010
we added this Material 2211583 to contract 4600000149.
When we do display source list it is still not showing up.
Contract  4600000149  Validity Start  04.02.2008   Validity End    31.12.2009
We have changed validity End date for Contract to 31.12.2010;even then it is not showing up in source list
Is there any possibility to get Contract number in the source list
    Thanks in advance
    SAP MM

what did you do to get the contract into the source list for this item?
it does not create a source list item by itself, only because you entered the item in a contract.
You can either create the source list entry from the contract via menu. or you have to enter the contract manually  in ME01 or you generate the source list with ME05

  • How to trigger Material CIF change pointers when changing Source List

I need to trigger a Material Change pointer (CIFMAT) creation when the Source List is updated for that material.  In BD52 (ALE configuration) table EORD is not an option for CIFMAT message type, so by standard ALE this can not be done automatically.  I could not find any BAdI/Userexit which will help me to create a material master change pointer so that the Material (Product) will be sent to APO via the CIF when the Source List in R/3 is changed.

Hi , Can you please check user exit CIFMAT01 function module EXIT_SAPLCMAT_001.You can use this enhancement to influence the logic according to which material data from SAP R/3 is mapped to APO product interface data.
I suggest to put logic in user exit to check table source list table EORD changes & trigger CIF for material master. You can pull  change data from table CDPOS using EORD table reference & material object value details.
Based on change record CIF user exist should trigger material CIF run and feed to APO.
Hope this solution will work in your case.thanks

  • Source List (Error message 06 722)

    Hi all,
1.the material being ordered has the source list requirement flagged in the material master in purchasing view.
2.source list has been maintained(with a same vendor in several contracts in different periods)
3.both above belonged to a same plant 1000.
when ME21N, I input vendor, material, hope it can find the contract I maintained in the source list, unfortunately, the error message 06 722 displayed!
but there is no problem if I manually enter a contract number in ME21N, i.e, I can save the po.
    my question is:
    is it standard by design?
as I know, when I create PR, tick "source determination", it can find the proper source if I maintained a correct source list.
but in ME21N, it seems the system cannot find the proper source unless I manully input the contract number!!!
    Error message 06 722

Check the plant you entered for the item.
Maintain the source of supply in the source list for this material/plant combination:
    1. Select the item.
    2. Select Environment -> Source list.
    3. Enter the corresponding material and plant.
    4. Maintain the data for the source of supply and then select Save.
    5. Select Mark in order to get the data for the purchase order that was created.
    6. Exit the purchase order and restart the SAP ordering transaction.
    7. Select Check.
    hi,
    it is not relevant....

  • Price not adopted from Contract using Source list

    Hi all!
I have read a few threads related to Source lists and why assignment does not pick up the price from the contract if the contract is the only source, but do still not understand this.
I have a sourcelist with a fix source of supply (Vendor, Contract). During automatic assignment, this contract is picked up correctly, but the price from the material master is retained. Why does the system not adopt the price from the contract?
Appriciate if someone could explain the logic behind this system behaviour.
    brgs Ziggy

    Hi
Check whether any parameter id (EFB or EVO) is assigned to your id in SU01. If the price is copied from PO, then you will have a parameter id EFB in your user in SU01 which is defined in OMET. EVO is buyer's default. Standard SAP is it defaults from last PO. You define buyer default in customization and stop copying last PO price in your new PO.

  • MRP area in Source list

    Hello
Can anyone tell me how the MRP Area field (BERID) is maintained in  source list (transaction ME01).  In my system it is greyed out?
We are running MRP at MRP Area level and I was hoping that this field would allow me to maintain source lists at this level.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Kind regards
    Sue

    Hello Sue,
The MRP area field will appear if you are planning with MRP option 2 - Record relevant to MRP. Sched. lines generated automatically.
You can see help document below explaining this process:

    I hope it helps.

  • Source list

Hello, is there a possibilty in the source list next to the field vendor, to display the field vendor name.
I am asking if there is a possibility in standrad sap and not z.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
In standard SAP, you cant do that.
Make a Z transaction like ZME01 and do the modification as required.
    Contact ABAP people.

  • Source list vendor

    Hi SAP Gurus,
We have a problem with soruce list. In the source list there are two vendors maintained and one of them is marlked as fixed vendor, with MRP relevent 1 in the source list. we have two inforecords for the material from two different vendors. one of them is cheaper and that is why we marked this vendor as the fixed vendor in source list. Now when we run the MRP in MD04, the req gets generated but it does not pick either vendor from those two vendors. Why is it happening like this? Is there anything wrong? PLease let me know
    Thanks
    Anusha

In MD04 show nº planning order or PO and  if the qty is same for tha requirement qty.
Plase check your parameter MRP t-code MD41  in the fielde Planning mode:
    Planning mode
Defines how procurement proposals from the last planning run are to be dealt with:
The system reactivates unfirmed procurement proposals and, if necessary, adapts the quantity and date to the new planning situation. The BOM is re-exploded only for procurement proposals that are to be adapted.
The system reactivates unfirmed procurement proposals and, if necessary, adapts the quantity and date to the new planning situation. The BOM is always re-exploded.
The system regenerates unfirmed procurement proposals completely.
Check too...your date last run MRP in MD06...this material is new or old?? if you already checked in ME03 ( Vendor List) , MEQ3 ( Quota) and Validity... the problem can be in the parameter of the MRP

  • Source list Vendor fixed!

    Hi All,
I have maintained a source list for a material with a contract in the source list and the vendor fixed. I have also maintained it as MRP relevant (by having MRP indivcator as 1). The Source list check box in the material master is checked.
Now when I run the MRP for this material I do not have the contract and the fixed vendor form the source list in the PR generated.
I have also tried by maintaining an inforecord (though it doesn't seem related). But it soe
Am I missing something here? Is something missing in the PP configuration?
Please guide. My client wants the contract and the fixed vendor in the sorce list automatically picked in the PR generated by the MRP run.
    Regards,
    V S

    Hi,
What you should do to check if your source of supply is properly set is to manually create PR and assign this contract source of supply to your PR.  If the source of supply is not accepted, then SAP will populate the related error message.
    Cheers,

if i have no perfer in source list. is there any sequence for source list to dertermine vendor? item 1 is first?
can i tick mutliple vendors for 'fixed'?
    Thank you in advance

    Hi,
    Hi, All,
    1. is it impact for MRP run to assign the source to purchase requisition to generate purchase order?
If you have the source list,,, it will suggest the vendor to be considered for procurement. It depends on How the configureation( it allowed to change the vendor)
    2. is it impct for costing run?
    No
    3. can i create purchase order for this material with other different vendor?
In Standard SAP it is possible,,, it will give warning messeage...again it depends on the config/settings

  • Source List for Material Group

    Hi All,
How do I maintain a source list for a material group.? Since ME01 requires a material, I cannot create source list in this tranasction.
The client want a the Source (for material Group) to be assigned automatically in PR assignment step.
Again, within a material group there can be several infor records, For example:
Mater Group: Office Supp.....I can have two infor rec for the same vendor....one with "Short Text" Notepad and another info rec with "Short Text": Paperclips. Or the second info record could be a different vendor also.
How could the system know which one to assign as a source since it's the same material group (one for Notepads and the other for paperclips)??
    Thanks in advance

    Hi duke,
In SAP we have a choice of creating source list for a "Material Group ". Following is the method.
You may have the outline agreements related to material group rather than a single specific material - For ex. outline agreement with a item category M( Material unknown) or      W ( material group). In doing so you can decide whether to exclude or include certain materials of the relevant material group by means of the source list.
To create the source list for a material group proceed as follows.
    1) On the outline agreement overview screen, select the items for which you wish to enter the source list record & choose Item --> Maintain source list
    2) To exclude the particular material keep the "Exclusion" indicator set against a material with a validity period.
I hope this will be useful to you.

  • Source List for Standard and Subcontracting Info Record

    Dear Sir and Madam,
We have scenario where nart A could purchase with Standard PO or Subcontract PO.
We  have following 2 Standard Info Record and 2 Subcontract Info Record.
Standard InfoRec 1 for Nart A to Vendor 001 --Fixed Vendor
Standard InfoRec 2 for Nart A to Vendor 002
Subcontract InfoRec 1 for nart A to Vendor 003 - Fixed Vendor
Subcontract InfoRec 2 for nart A to Vendor 004
We have the problem here, how can we set the fixed vendor in Source List, for Standard PO using vendor 001 and Subcon using Vendor 003?
    Thank you very much,
    Regards,
    CW

In source list only one vendor can be assigned.
If u want to assign 2 or more vendor, try using Quota Arragement.
