SAP MRP ConRel from another plant

Hi there,
I am thinking about setting up this process and need advise on few things.
1. I have plant A creating Purchase Orders to ship from Plant B - For Eg - 100 Ltr.
2. We auto convert PO to SO for Plant B
3. MRP runs and creates Planned order into customer stock for 100 Ltr
4. Planned order is converted into Production Order
5. GR done against Production Order and inventory is received into Customer stock for that SO.
6. Delivery done and inventory sent to Plant A.
The problem with the above process is, when Plant A is creating Purchase Order for Plant B, ConRel entry is made into MD04 for Plant B. Now when I run MRP for Plant B. It creates another planned order for 100 Ltr along with SO referenced planned order for 100 Ltr.
So I have two planned orders, what is it that I am missing ? Please advise. thank you

Hello,
Your ConRel should get deleted after creating the delivery.
Check delivery table LIPS has Requirements class transfer of requirement set in OVZG for your requirement class.
In SM30 table V_161V you can use the "ATP Conf. MRP" checkbox to define that the material requirements planning (MRP) is to refer to confirmation schedule lines only.
The quantities that are available in the supplying plant, and that were confirmed by the ATP check are considered as receipt in the receiving plant at the confirmed date.
Please refer KABA  1621912 - Transaction MD04: Requirements of stock transport orders are deleted after delivery is created
and consulting note 207942 - MRP: Problems with requirements from sales order/delivery

  • Withdrawal from another plant

    Dear Experts,
there is an SAP standard process in ECC defiend as withdrawal from another plant, when for example creating a planned order in ECC, the dependant demand of the component product is placed on the plant assigned e.g the alternative plant.   We are using SCM7.0 and SNP as part of our supply chain solution.  Can someone advise how and if it is possible to replicate the standard process of withdrawal from another plant in APO SNP?, what settings are essential etc?
Basics of withdrawal from another plant are as follows:-
    - create a special procuremnt key and populate the  flag withdrawal from another plant, assign to the material master in ECC.
    Cheers
    Paul Martens

    Nandha,
thank you for the OSS note reference.  Very useful.  One more question, from this note it suggests that the functionality of withdrawing from another plant is only designed to work with PPDS, is this correct?
    Cheers

  • Copying Plant from another plant.

    Hi all,
I am creating a new plant referencing another plant from the same company code.
I completed that and found that the plant was not correctly coppied for some
Now is it OK if I delete newly created plant and try to re-create it in the system again by copying it from the other plant.
Or is it possible to get me the list of all the tables which are normally coppied when you copy plant from another plant.

If there are few accounting documents existing for the plant
Just copy the existing plant and rename it in ox10
    thanks

  • Reservation to be created from another plant

    Dear All
I have a scenario where stores person has created one plant as engineer stores ,which is different from maintenance plant, When executing the work order i can able to specify the plant which is corresponding to the engineer stores.from which i can issue the material .
But if the plan for the material  using tasklist the reservation are getting generated in the maintenance plane, whereas the MRP run in done in engineer stores level .
Is there any way we can create reservation in the engineer stores plant or any user exit available for transfer of reservation from one plant to another
    regards

There is a field "Iss. Pl." available in the component overview section of task list. In standard configuration it is deactivated.
Online help Document for the field is as under and it show that the purpose can be served.

  • Refurbishment process - want to repair material from another plant

    Hello All,
In a Refurbishment process, we can do repair either Internal resource(control key PM01) or with External resource(control key PM02) by sending out material to vendor with material outward slip. But in my case, i have to send material to my another plant(2222) for refurbishment & after repair want to take it back to my plant(1111).
Can you plz guide me over here, how i can achieve this? which are the things need to be taken care? whether any other process(SD-Shipment process) need to involve here?
    Thanks to all in advance.

    Hi,
you can use standard refurbishment orders and defining your plants and relevent storage locations at header level. just take care of following points:
    - Valuation types are defined for the equipment/ material.
    - movements of material from one plant/Sloc to other plant/ Sloc.
    - operations defined correctly in terms of internal/ external.
    - capture all labour costs in your plant (1111) cost centre related to carrying material from your plant to another plant and back  to your plant.
    - cost centre distribution rules maintained correctly.

  • Material planning from another plant

    Hi,
    Can anyone answer me
I am planning for X in plant P1
There is a material in Plant P2 and the same material added in BOM for X but the material is not maintained in plant P1
    How this can be managed
    shrish

    Hi,
For that u have to create same material in both plants.
If it is in BOM of X, you can use special peocurement key for component, i.e.production in alternate plant, purchasing from alternate plant, etc.
So dependent requirement will be created in another plant for that material.

  • MRP STO from multiple plants

    Hi All,
Is there any way that we can configure standard SAP to look in multiple plants before it can create a STR for special procurement key ?
    thanks for your help.

    Chandru,
If it is your only business requirement is to manually search other plants for stock, you don't need to do anything special.
When you are in the sales order, perform your ATP.  On the Availability control screen, you will see what the ATP situation is against the plant contained in the sales order.  If the proposal is unsatisfactory, you can clik on the "other plants" button at the top.  It will propose a list of plants that can supply this product.  Select the ones you want, and proceed to the next screen.  It will show you the possible commit dates available for each of these plants.  Select the one you want, and it will then perform a standard ATP check against that plant.  If you accept the results, it will change the plant in the sales order item to the one you have selected.   Save.
Yes, a bit of work.  But, no more than you would have to do if you manually searched for stock, and then transported the stock to the original plant.

  • Excise duty in Subconrtacting with components from another plant

    Dear SAP Gurus,
    I have a typical scenario in subcontracting. I have a company code 0001 which has 2 plants 1000 & 2000.
Plant 2000 creates subcontracting PO against vendor XYZ for FG with Excise duty.
However plant 1000 issues the component  which is excisable Material.
Just to summarise the component issued from plant 1000 is excisable & FG to be received from Sub contractor in Plant 2000 is also excisable.
    Kindly guide.

    Hi
    For plant 100
    1) Create a sub PO
    2) Issue the material th MB1B 541
    3) Create a excise invoice in J1IS reference document is step 2 doc.No need to create a Subcontracting challan as the excise Invoice would serve as a Legal document
    Account entries will be
    ED Suspense Dr
    ED Payable Cr
    ETT OTHR will be called
    4) Recieve the material in MIGO
    5) MIRO for processing charges only
    For plant 2000
    1) Create a sub PO with Excise duty

  • Calling a Standard SAP transaction VA03 from another web dynpro application

    Hi All,
I have a requirement wherein I need to call the standard SAP transaction VA03 whenever a sales order is selected in some other we dynpro application so that the sales order gets displayed.
No regarding usage of OBN for the above functionality I have certain queries:
    1. In order to call VA03 do I need to create a transactional iview for it or is there any direct method. Also how to pass this sales order number as parameter to the T.Code.
    2. Can we use standard business object BUS2032 for OBN or a new Business object is created. What exactly is the purpose of these standard business objects in portal and when should they be used.
    Thanks in advance
    Aman Gupta

Hi Aman - Do you have a portal team in your project or you have to create the IVIEWS yourself?
I do have a portal team and I dont know how they create the IVIEWs but for example, I will go to my portal team and I will ask them to create an IVIEW for TCODE VA03, they will created and they will tell me the input parameters they entered for the IVIEW so I can call OBN and display in webdynpro.
SAP in SRM has webdynpro e.g. for BUS2121 and they have an IVIEW already implemented in the portal context pointing to the webdynpro of BUS2121 so we can used the IVIEW by calling OBN and passing the parameters; in my case the object_type will be 'shc' and the operation will be 'display' and the paremeters itab will be the GUID of my shopping cart, that way the OBN can understand which Shopping cart open and in which operation mode.
I also did something like your requirement, I need it to display a specific case in Records Management but SAP has a standard IVIEW for records management 'RMREGEDIT' that didn't work for my requirement so I went to SE38 created a program that displayed the case based on GUID and I created a TCODE of my custom program. Portal team created a custom IVIEW of my custom TCODE and they told me the input parameters to call the TCODE in OBN and I pass in the itab parameter the GUID of the case using the FM that I post before.
The action to call the OBN is in the event handler ON_CLICK of my ALV and the action is getting trigger when the user actually clicks a HYPERLINK in the ALV.
    Hope this helps you!
Please feel free to ask me more details if you need.

  • Delivery from one plant taking order of another plant

    Hi,
Please share your view that how it is possible to delivery from one plant taking the order from another plant where production is made in later plant and material is moved by STo to the first plant for despatch.
So stock is ready in first plant but since the order is of second plant , if we bypass the first phase check in shipping point while create delivery by VLO1N , inside the document the second plant is determined. is there any way around?
    Please explore.
    Regards
    Indranil Saha

    Dear Lakhsmipathi,
Thnaks for your reply . I will Definitely close the open issues later.
There is no problem about STO. Problem is that we have to issue the sale order in manufacturing plant and with respect to the same order we have to make the delivery by VL01N from another plant. So MRP will run in manufacturinf plant. Stock will built up in manufacturing plant, then it will be transferred to another plant and from there the same material is to be despatched where the delivering plant in sale order is the manufacturing plant.
SAP does not allow to do it as the delivering plnat specified in the order is different from thye plant from where it is to be despatched.
We have thought also to create customized routine for it where we may bypass the check of shipping point in copy control as well as the population of the plant which is to be filled up manually by user in delivery document.
Is there any other alternative . please explore.
    Regards

  • Notify MRP controler 2 transf Req Qty based on Proces Order from diff Plant

    Dear Experts,
Material A is Semi Finished goods, in-house produced in plant 1000
Material B is Raw Material, externally procured from  vendors and stored in Plant 2000
Material B is the component required to produce Material A, and this has been created as part of the master data in the BOM in plant 1000.
A plant to plant transfer is done for material B when it is needed for production of material A in plant 1000 from plant 2000.
On creating my Process Order for material A, a reservation is created containing the required quantity of material B. This same quantity i can see on displaying the Materials List of the Process Order ( in the Requirement Quantity column).
Material B is only to be transferred  to Plant 1000 based on the requirement quantity of the Process order.
How do I automatically get the MRP controller of Plant 2000 notified of this Requirement Quantity immediately a Process Order in plant1000  is released?
I mean how does the MRP controller in plant 2000 gets to know that there is a need of Raw Materials in Plant 1000 as specified in the Process Order created & released in plant1000?
    Thanks for your expected responses

    Bisolaaina,
Use special procurement key 40:stock transfer for material B at plant 1000. This specifies that the material B is to be procured from another plant 2000. A requirement which arises in plant 1000 is then covered by stock from plant 2000
The following happens during the planning run: on detecting a shortage in plant 1000, the system automatically creates a purchase requisition for a stock transfer in plant 1000 and a release order for the purchase requisition in plant 2000. The date of the release order is determined during scheduling. When the stock transport requisition is converted into a stock transport order, the release order in plant 2000 is automatically converted into a reservation.

  • BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE-Goods receipt in with sd-delivery in another plant?

    Hello to all.
    I have a strange situation.
We use the mentioned bapi to post goods-receipts.
In this case we use  the movement type 101.
Inside sap-standard , inside the migo, there is a possibility to do the same, online.
And also, if a sd-delivery from another plant is present.
The posting initiated by the migo is more complete as it fills the entire document flow properly.
I would like to trigger exactly this behaviour in the background, via RFC-call.
As I now use the BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE, the documentary told me, that this is not possible.
How else can I achieve this ?
Does anybody know the solution ?
Will I have to do it via WS_DELIVERY_UPDATE_2 instead ?
    Best regards
    Robert.
Edited by: Robert Dornfeld on Nov 11, 2011 12:04 PM

Refer Note 424014 - BAPI: Goods receipt for the outbound delivery
When you post a goods receipt for an outbound delivery (with reference to a stock transport order) with Bapi BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE, you must fill the following fields so that the purchase order as well as the delivery are updated correctly:
GOODSMVT_ITEM-MOVE_TYPE (Movement type): generally movement type '101'
        GOODSMVT_ITEM-DELIV_NUMB (Delivery)
        GOODSMVT_ITEM-DELIV_ITEM (Delivery item)
        GOODSMVT_ITEM-PLANT      (Plant)
        GOODSMVT_ITEM-STGE_LOC   (Storage location)
        GOODSMVT_ITEM-ENTRY_QNT  (Quantity)
        GOODSMVT_ITEM-ENTRY_UOM  (Unit of measure)
        GOODSMVT_ITEM-PO_NUMBER  (Purchase order)
        GOODSMVT_ITEM-PO_ITEM    (Purch. order item)
        GOODSMVT_ITEM-MVT_IND    (Movement indicator) = 'B'
Now the order history and the document flow of the delivery are updated. In order to use fields DELIV_NUMB and DELIV_ITEM, you must implement the enhancements of Note 356665.
If the delivery note number / delivery (field MKPF-XBLNR) is supposed to be updated in the material document header, field GOODSMVT_HEADER-REF_DOC_NO must be filled with the delivery number when you call the Bapi BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE.
The field should only be filled if the delivery number is unique. The delivery is transferred at item level (table GOODSMVT_ITEM, field DELIV_NUMB) so that different delivery numbers can occur in a material document. In this case, there is no unique delivery so that a blank field GOODSMVT_HEADER-REF_DOC_NO would be useful.

  • Material sourced from multiple plants

    Hi all
I have a Plant A which sources material from Plant B, Plant C, and Plant D. We use STOs to transfer material from Plant B,C,D to Plant A. If I use a Special procurement key then I can only define one of the source plants. What is the solution for this?
    Will Quota arrangement work?
    thanks a lot

    John,
Special procurement key is mainly useful for planning.  It does not prevent you from sourcing from another plant, it only sets that one plant will be defaulted as a source.
So, you can set up STOs from all three plants.  Set your SPK for the 'most likely' plant.  If a planner wishes to override the MRP created Purchase reqs, he can do so by manually entering a new source plant in the Purchase req.
Now, if your intention is to have MRP automatically source from all three plants, according to some fixed ratio, then remove the SPK from the Material Master, and create Purchase Info Records for all three source plant vendors.  Then, enter these Purchase info records into a quota arrangement, according to the ratios you wish to procure by.

  • Transfer of sales orders from one plant to another

    Dear all,
    My requirement is as follows:
I have created some 500 sales orders (open) in one sales org+plant.
Now due to plant shifting to other area, I want to transfer all the above open sales orders to another sales org+plant.
One option is to create them manually. But that is time consuming and prone to errors.
Second option is to upload thru LSMW. That too is very tedious.
Third option is to extend/assign new plant to the old sales area and change the plant in the orders. But I want in the new sales org + new plant.
Is there any other option by which I can transfer the above sales orders from one plant to another?
    Regards
    SAPshed

    Hi SAPshed,
The problem is not the change of plant, which is standard functionality, but the change of sales organization.
An awful lot of information depends on the Sales Organization: Company code (!!), customers, materials, prices, profit center, etc.
SAP does not even admit creating a sales order in a Sales Organization A with reference to a sales order with a sales organization B.
IMHO your best option is to try to maintain the current Sales Orders with the current Sales Organization and change the Sales Order in VA02 (your third option).
If you are absolutely sure that all materials and customers are created for the new Sales Area in the same way and that prices (discounts) are the same, you might want to do a direct update to VBAK table to change the Sales Organization (nasty!), but be prepared for the consequences (no SAP support in case of problems, you are on your own).
Therefore if you insist on a different Sales Organization, then option 2) will be your best best.
    Best Regards,
    Franck
P.S. IMHO it is Best Practice to have a unique Sales Organization / Company Code.
