SAP Netweaver 04 full version on Notebook?
Hi!
Is it possible to install a "full version" of SAP Netweaver on a High end Notebook including the following components:
EP60
Developer Studio
XI
Web AS 640 Java Stack
Web AS 640 ABAP Stack
Visual Composer
(BI 3.5)
What are the HW/SW Requirements and where can I get the software?
Thanx for any hints!
Regards Volker
Hi Volker,
it is possible, even on Windows , but you need enough resources.
HW and SW requirements are part of installation Guide (see http://service.sap.com/instguides).
You need at least 20GB HDD and 2GB RAM for SAP Web AS 6.40 ABAP + Java for instance.
Do you want to run the simultaneous? - solution could be MS Virtual PC after that.
We are offering few restricted test drives but real products are licensed.

Is SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio Version: 7.0.12 Compatable with JDK 1.5
Hi
I want to user Java SDK version 1.5 instead of 1.4.
Is SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio Version: 7.0.12 compatible with this or not.
Please let me knowHi
If you are using EP 7.0, then NWDS 7.0.YY version need to be used. //YY depends on your patch of EP7 .As you have mentioned your are using NWDS 7.0.12, that means your portal SP level is SP12.
In my prject i am using JDK 1.4 for NWDS 7.0.15 and its works fine.I have asked two of my colleagues , they told that in their project they are using JDK 1.5 for EP 7.0 server and application is working fine for them.
So
Thanks

Logical system for client 001 for SAP NETWEAVER ABAP TRIAL VERSION for BI
Hi,
I have installed SAP NETWEAVER ABAP TRIAL VERSION for BI. In that I have to create logical system for client 001. I have taken a list of available clients from the abap R3 side. Here is a list of it.
Clients View
Cl. Name City Crcy
000 SAP AG Konzern Walldorf EUR
001 Auslieferungsmandant R11 Kundstadt USD
066 Test EarlyWatch Profiles Walldorf EUR
I cannot get inside the BW side for it asks me to create a logical system for client 001. What to do?
Kindly help me.
Kannanhi,
? First log on to SAP R/3 server connections Go to SCC4 in R/3 & in Scc4 BW server. A screen opens in that logical name of the system would be opened in both (R/3 & BW).
? Take notepad in it save .R/3 & BW logical names go to R/3 & click SM59 to create R/3 connections click then a screen opens gives BW logical name in RFC Destination option & give connection. type 3 & give some description & then press enter.
? You will get another screen under it then at target host gives BW server name we will get it from BW logon change ID, IP address option & give the system no. The system no go to logon pad just drag it then you will see the name.
? Then click on log on securities go to log on give BW server details like No, client user Password. Then save it then click test connection tab if there are errors then it gives yellow color if they are no error the whole thing come as white.
? Then click on the Remote Logon then we go to BW server give RFC SM59 & click create. Then give the server name which is at the bottom right corner give it then give the no, name, password in logon Security save it & test connection & then remote logon.
? R/3 - B W - R/3
? Logical connection source system connection is used to transfer the data from R/3 to BW. Go to BW system& click RSA1 go to source system option go to top to the source systems right click on it. Then click create then a screens opens then.
? PC ?Flat file , DB ? Database
? Select the option manual then a screen appears RFC Destination, Logical source name then click OK then it goes to opens other screen save it test connection then remote login then it go back to the then a screen opens then click only activate.
? BW ? RS1 ? SOURCE SYSTEM ? CREATE MANUAL AUTOMATIC CELL
? R/3 ? Test connections login ? back ? replicate method ? active data R/3 Source system you will able to.
hope it helps u

Problems starting SAP NetWeaver AS Trial Version
Hello Forum,
Here is the summary of problem that I am facing starting SAP Netweaver AS Trial Version (post suucessful installation). I am mentioning successful installation is because on the day of the installation, I could start the NetWeaver AS Server and login using user BCUSER and go into SE80 (Object Navigator). The trouble started appearing thereafter.
Here is the summary -
When I dont have MS loopback Adapter activated on my Laptop, I get the following in SAP MMC
The dispatcher process thread begins but haves a status - cannot connect to the message server
When I install and activate MS loopback Adapter on my Laptop, I get the following in SAP MMC
The Message Server and Dispatcher Starts Off, After a while (a minute), Dispatcher status turns to Message Server COnnection OK, Dialog Queue Time 0:00, after a While (a minute), it gives a message and stops. After this point Message Server is shown as running and Dispatcher is stopped.
I am attaching the dev_disp for reference. Obviously I think the problem lurking somewhere in the midst of Network Adapter Configuration - Please help me to resolve the same.

Thanks for the reply. I checked NETSTAT command and none of the known ports used by SAP is occupied on my laptop.
Also, when I use NIPING - it gies me a familiar message WASNOTREACHED...

Install Trial BO like SAP Netweaver ABAP Trial version
Hello, i would like to know if it´s possible to install some trial Version of BO in orther to install it in my laptop like i´ve just done with the SAP Netweaver ABAP Trial Version 701 (With SAP-BW 70).
I know that that there are some links to download BO software but i really don´t know where to start and if there is any problem with the installation on my laptop with MaxDB ans SAP server installed... basically i have installed SAP with BW in my laptop and it´s working ok. Wich software may i install and wich are the requirements if i want to practice with BO ?
I´ve just downloaded BO from the following link but it´s the correct one ?
http://www.businessobjects.com/forms/datasave.asp?id=701600000008kgy
Besides this i´ve just found another one
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/business-objects-for-sap?rid=/webcontent/uuid/806c9894-42a5-2b10-648a-d900489b76da
Wich one i have to install ? it´s the same ? it works with OS XP-Pro ? anything else to install ?
Thanks in advance,

SAP Netweaver ABAP Trial Version password expired
Hi All,
I just got an installer for the SAP NetWeaver ABAP Trial Version and I was able to install the Trial version. However, my license have already expired. So what I did was is to renew the license. But my problem right now is that I can't logon using BCUSER. I'm getting "Logon not possible (error in license check".
During the time when I renew the license, i didn't encounter any errors or problems.
Could anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong?
How can I have BCUSER up and running since I need this account to practice ABAP?
I tried deleting the old license using SAP* user because I don't think it is possible to do using that user.
Thanks
JamesI have had a similar issue but the above remedy did not fix my problem. I had successfully installed the trial version and used it until the license expired. After downloading a new license, I installed it using SAP*. The installation was successful however, when trying to login using BCUSER I am still getting that same error.
Under slicense, user sap*, I have the following:
NSP TEMPLICENSE NetWeaver_ADA 26.10.2008 25.01.2009 Perm DEMOSYSTEM 000000000311079138 Valid
Sorry for the sloppy cut&paste but you can see that the install appears to be valid.
Is my only recourse to uninstall and reinstall the trial version? Also, is there some way for me to backup any of the work I have done in SE80 before wiping the install?
Thanks in advance,

However, after 3 hours the installation stops.

Problems when installing the SAP Netweaver 2004s Trial version on Fedora 9
Dear all,
I have been trying to install the SAP Netweaver 2004s Trial version on Fedora 9, 64 bit, x86_64, but have not been able to accomplish this correctly.
New to the Linux environment as well, and hence not completely sure about the issues here. According to the steps outlined for the installation, i downloaded and installed the IBM Java SDK and then executed the install.sh script file from the download.
The installation went well, but when i try to start the sap system using the command startsap, i get the error message command not found.
Could anyone please guide.
Thanks,
Dabre> The installation went well, but when i try to start the sap system using the command startsap, i get the error message command not found.
as which user did you execute that command?

BEx Analyzer through SAP Netweaver ABAP trial version
Hi, I have installed SAP Netweaver ABAP trial version but dont know how to get BEx analyzer. Can someone help to find out that.
Thanks,Hi ,
I doubt if the BW component is present in the NW 7.0 Abap trial. Please check this in Tcode spam -> supp. package levels (all components are listed.there, or via system information in the gui menu.
When component BW is present you can install Bex/Wad etc. via the sapgui CD.

SAP NetWeaver 2004s Trial Version License Renewal
Hi,
How many times can I extend my license for SAP NetWeaver 2004s Trial Version?
Also, is there any fee for every license extension?
Thanks in advance,
HarisDear Haris,
Currently there's no limit and no fee for license renewals. In the past, license renewal had been stopped for some time though, which made a lot of people in this board very unhappy, but hopefully this won't happen again...
Best wishes,
