SAP NetWeaver 7.0 ABAP Trial Version - Installation Error -

Hi:
I am trying to install the SAP NW 7.0 ABAP Trial version -
I am on Windows XP Pro and meet the Hardware requirements a'rite - however, 2 consecutive attempts leads the installer to stop and generate the same log message -

i'm trying to install SAP NetWeaver 7.0 ABAP Trial Version. At the begin of installation is everything well till 47%. I tried more time, but all the time the installation stppted at 47%. Do any one know a solution?

Hello,
You must extract the first archive (only the first archive)
After that you'll see that you have in the directory start.htm
Double clicking 'start.htm' will take you to a web page where you find all the steps for installation.

SAP Netweaver 7.0 ABAP Trial Version instalation errors

Hi all,
I use windows xp professional sp2 and I keep geting this errors while trying to instal this version of the SAP NetWeaver.
I have tryed with the newer version before but I hat problems too and I got told that this version is more stable, so I tryed and this are the errors I get.
Any help will be much apreciated.

My problem is not completely new, there are some hint in the Troubleshooting Guide for NW2004s ABAP Trial Version (step 4)

and on this post another user had a problem similar to mine
NW04s installation errors
I have jdk 1.6 installed on my machine but there are no environment variables for java executables.
Is my problem caused but the java previously installed on the machine? If so, I can remove the jdk and retry installation
In this case it could be useful in my opinion to include this issue in the FAQ, it can be helpful for other users too.

Problems with SAP NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version installation

Hi,
I have installed NW 7.01 ABAP trial version "successfully".
Unfortunately the application server doesn't start.
After some time the Dispatcher process stopps.
In the syslog you can see that 7 workprocesses are started.
they all don't seem to be able to connect to the database and shut down.
The related syslog messages are:
Database: SQL error -1070 occurred (possible network problems?). Work process is stopped
Database: Database error -10709 at CON
Database: > Connection failed (RTE:Database name is missing)
SAP-Basis System: Stop Workproc 4, PID     4136
I already re-installed the Trial version, and I also checked that the database is up and running.
The error persist.
Can anyone help ?

SAP NetWeaver 7.0 ABAP Trial Version installation

Hi,
I was able to install the trial version first but I was not able to log on to the SAP as I kept getting connection refused or server SAPDB00 not reached error. Someone suggested me to uninstall and re-install it so I uninstalled the program but now I am not able to re-install it.
I have tried everything suggested in the guide and other threads (uninstalling MAXDB, stopping the service, removing installshield, SAP and SAPDB directories, installing network adapter, editing the host file, using registry clean, changed source directory to the one with a shorter name, etc. etc.) but i keep getting the following error

when do you get the message "partner '127.0.0.1:sapdb' net reached connection refused"?
What OS do you use?
Is there a firewall running that might cause some login problems (including the Windows firewall)?
Does the computer have a valid network address (either of a dhcp service or you use the Windows Loopback Adapter)?
Have you started the application server properly (Start-> all programs->NetWeaver 7 abap trial->NSP-> start application server)?

SAP NetWeaver 7.02 ABAP Trial Version Installation issues

I have been trying to install 7.02 trial version for a while but I keep running into issues. At present I am stuck, the install has been at the same load for the past 6 hours with no indication of an error or progress. Below is the last part of the program starter output screen and the logs. Please help

Error during the SAP NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version Installation

Hi everybody,
I'm just beginning to discover SAP system and have already my first problem ^^
During the installation, the system stop at 33 or 34% of the complete installation. I've verified the system requirements and need some help to pass this step :
I've got an Intel(R) Core (TM)2 Duo CPU @2.66Ghz with 3.25 Go of RAM and with 55Go 25 hard disk free space
I've made the SAP Management Console installation and after this, i found this error in the log file :

so ... i don't understand why ... I retry to make th einstallation on the first Windows and i've always the same error but not at the same place. It stops between 33 and 35% of the installation during the check of the package ... very strange.
Have you made the installation with the SP3 or do you using the Netweqver with that ? Becquse my problem comes during the installation. I'll try to make the upgrade of the Windows to control the good working of the system (i think there is no problem with that .... but in the doubt )

SAP NetWeaver 7.02 ABAP Trial Version JRE

Hi All,
I need some help regarding SAP NetWeaver 7.02 ABAP Trial Version installation on Windows XP SP3 JRE 1.6_026-b03.
According to the installation, I need JRE 1.4.x or 1.5_022.
As the computer allready runs applications which need JRE 1.6.., My question is: Can I have two different versions of JRE on the same computer and link different applications to differerent versions?
I assume so, but how do I do it, and where do I find the JRE 1.4.x version? It seems that I can't find it anywhere.

You could find the JDK/JRE 1.4.2 download at:

Also, you can have different java versions installed on the system. Its just that the application should know which Java to use. This is usually dependent on whether the application gets Java version via the environment variables (usually JAVA_HOMe or PATH) or via variables defined within the application. Check your application's requirement.
Also The JDK 1.4.2 is required only for the installation part of SAP Netweaver ABAP trial (for the SAPInst to run). After installation you could change the environment variable back to JRE 1.6.

SAP NetWeaver 7.0 ABAP Trial Version installation completes on my Win XP SP2 in 2-3 minutes ( which I think should take much more longer than this) . After this applicatin server does not start n remains RED stating database instance could not start.
Plz advice how to fix this installation problem so that it may be installed properly.

You have not installed the system properly.Read the installation guide and install it again.
Do not install on win xp.Do it on win 2003.
Start sapinst from the installation master
choose sapsystems ABAP Systems
chose central instance after that install database instance and complete your installation.It will take hours for completion.

i am trying to install sap netweaver 7.02 abap trial version 64 bit.But it gives folowing error
An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 2 > SAP Application Server ABAP > MaxDB > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step :The database installer reported an error. DIAGNOSIS: Some database applications might still be running. SOLUTION: Check the log file sdbinst.log and C:\sapdb\data\wrk\MaxDBRuntimeForSAPAS_install_ _ .log.). You can now:
Choose Retry to repeat the current step.
Choose Log Files to get more information about the error.
Stop the option and continue with it later.
Log files are written to C:\Program Files/sapinst_instdir/NW702/AS-ABAP/ADA/CENTRAL/.

As written on the error message you have to check the log and post it here.
