SAP Netweaver 7.3 Execute error

Hi Guys,
I am newbie to SAP. I have a business background.
I try downloading and installing the 7.0 64 bit trial version on my laptop with window 8.
It seems to be installing fine. At EXECUTE stage I got this error. PLEASE HELP

For copying a package you have to specify the source location for the requested package MAXDB:79xxx:RDBMS:MAX DB:WINDOWS_X86_64:AMD64:CD510xxxxx
Specifiy the location which contains the right LABEL.ASC, or empty the copy input field !!

But where will the values be? The download is already on my C drive in the Download folder.
The first(Package Location] column is populated:

The second column[ Copy P.......] is blank
Before I got this error, I got the first error " Another Database running" error. I did not know how to fix that in Window 8. After 3 hrs the installer might have skipped to the EXECUTE phase.
Could this come from the "Another Database running" error?

SAP Netweaver 7.0 instalation error

When I install SAP Netweaver 7.0 I get an error like below during instalation,
Error says;
An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 3 > SAP Application Server ABAP > MaxDB > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step: Error during execution of command identifier 'PARAM_INIT' : : [3472] 17:41:46 ***Warning: Loadavg: Could not add processor time performance counter to query. ). Choose Log Files to get more information about the error.

Is anybody have an idea about that error? What can be a problem?

Attribute name "noresize" associated with an element type "frame" must be followed by the ' = ' character.

SAP Netweaver Developer Studio and error

I am getting the below error in NWDS while creating project from an existing DC.
An intenal error has occured. See error log for more details.

On giving OK and when I checked in Webdynpro perspective, i could not find the Project created.

Hi Manchari,
this happens if someone accidentally checked in the .classpath file into the DTR. This file should not be part of the DTR (this is a "non-dtr" resource) only necessary on client side. What happens is that the NWDS on client side tries to sync this file from the DTR (since it has been checked in there) but the file also exists already on client side created by the NWDS and marked it as read-only. The solution is to get rid of these non-dtr resources as they are only necessary for local build and local file generation. Other non-dtr resources are for instance (without the sake of completeness!) the .metamodel , the .project file, the folders bin, gen_wdp, gen_ddic (you can always compare other folders to see which files and folders are not necessary. Never remove the ".dcdef" file and the folder "src").
The fixing instructions are :
1.please navigate to
/usr/sap/XYZ/SYS/global/com.sap.dtr.console
2.execute the run.bat
(if this is unix, then please do not forget to replace the ";" by ":" inside the run.bat)
3. when you managed to start it, the prompt (">") will appear.
4. feel free to use the "help" command, but in the following example you'll also see how to proceed.
5. connect <yourhost>:<yourport> <nwdi admin user> <password>
Example: **
 localhost:xyzadm 72> ./run.bat
 > connect <host>:5<instnum>00 <nwdi admin user> <mynwdiadminpass>
6. use the "ls" command to locate the resource to be deleted. You can also use the "pwd" command to print the current working directory. Almost the same commands as on unix.

SAP NetWeaver Gateway and JSON Error Handling

Hello All,
I am developing a small test application using Netweaver Gateway to understand the error handling. I am using Postman to test the Gateway service. I have developed small RFC FM to read return list of deliveries for a shipment. The RFC reads in a shipment number and returns the list of deliveries. The RFC also has Return parameter of type BAPIRET2 that stores the error message if shipment is not found. We want to use only JSON format for the application. So, I have set the 'Accept' parameter at request header to 'content/json'. I am also aware of the exception /IWBEP/CX_MGW_BUSI_EXCEPTION that allows to throw an error message from backend suite. I have that by having a Return parameter of type BAPIRET2, the generated method automatically handles the error message and sets the correct HTTP status.
Now the Problem:
As mentioned earlier, we want to use JSON format. When I set the header parameter or specify $format=json in the URI the HTTP status code is always set to 500 when there is an error. The error message about invalid shipment also is not returned.
When I remove the JSON format parameters, the XML format is returned and HTTP status is set to 400 with appropriate error message.
How can we get the Gateway to set the HTTP status code to 400 along with error message in the event of an error in RFC. I have tried with the exception /IWBEP/CX_MGW_BUSI_EXCEPTION and BAPIRET2 return parameter but still does not work. Is this a known issue in Gateway/JSON?

You can check with your administrator who is using this

Installing SAP Netweaver sneak preview license error

Hello all,
I have appiled and recieved a license from SAP. When I tried to install it using saplicense command, I got the following error. Please help, I am not sure how to set the dbms_type and DIR_LIBRARY environment variables. I am using MYSQL and installed the NW portal under Windows XP professional SP2.

I switched to use j2eadm acct to run saplicense -install ifile=licensefile. It seems the environment variables are set correctly by default but it complains about database connection this time. Here are the error message:
C:\usr\sap\J2E\SYS\exe\uc\NTI386>saplicense -install ifile=c:\j2e
SAPLICENSE (Release 700) ERROR ***
 ERROR: Connect to database failed
 DETAILS: DbSlConnect failed with return code 99
SQL-ERROR -4008 (check DB manual for explanation)

SAP Netweaver Developer Studio -- Deployment Error? Please help!

Hello there,
I had just created a very very simple application on NWDS. When i tried the option 'deploy new Archive and Run'
It gave me this error saying:

Deployment exception : Cannot determine sdm host (is empty). Please configure your engine/sdm correctly !
I was afraid maybe the SDM was not running. So, i went into the usr folder and clicked on 'RemoteGui.bat' Then it started the SDM.
But, again when I tried to -deploy new Archive and Run-, it gave me back the same error above in NWDS.
Can somebody please help me with this? or How do i configure my SDM to match the requirements of NWDS ?

UPDATE: ok. I went to Window >> Preferences>> J2EE engine >> and selected SAP J2EE engine is located on local host..
It worked!
The search function for some reason is not that particularly great on this forum. I typed exact error phrase, and it could not find the right thread. But, for some reason, i tried through GOOGLE with the error phrase and then it leaded to the right thread where few people on this forum had the same issue.

I got the solution to this error.
The main reason is at the time of Intsalling Netweaver on windows 2003 server with Administrator rights, as per the Installtion manual we have to follow the windows password policy must and should and give the same for the Master Password while installing, then we won't get error.

I hav a problem while installing SAP netweaver developer workplace .An error has occured while processing service ´developer workplace installation´.This error occured in phase 14 of 25 ie while unpacking SCS Client.error is as follows:-
[Cannot connect to host uklonki1 Connection refused: connect, -813.]
the database is online and the x-server is also started.hope anyone can help me in this problem.

Dear All,
 I got an exception while installing SAP NetWeaver 2007
on Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition (service pack 1). This exception occured when installer tried to install MaxDB database. When I saw installation log file, I found following msgs. Pls suggest me appropriate solution so that I could install SAP NetWeaver 2007 on my m/c.

Hi,
the following parts of the log should give you some hints about what might be wrong:
"dropping database instance: JP1"
"found instance JP1 "
"cannot remove package "Database Kernel": first you have to remove all instances"
It seems you still have a MaxDB instance named JP1 on your system. This instance could not be dropped, because it was not possible for the uninstaller to connect to the db instance:
"dropping database instance: JP1"
"Try to establish connection to JP1"
"command failed: <DBMException -24950 ERR_USRFAIL User authorization failed>"
So, if enough parts of the software are still available and you know how to connect to the JP1 instance (using either the Database Manager GUI or DBMCLI), you can drop the instance and proceed with the installation.
