SAP NetWeaver BPM Troubleshooting Guide

I am not sure if you happen to see that the description of this forum had changed.
Thus I wanted to point your attention to a a page we recently added to it: The so called '[SAP NetWeaver BPM Troubleshooting Guide|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BPMT]' tackles typical problems you may encounter when start using SAP NetWeaver Business Process Management (BPM).
We came up with a step-by-step based guide similar to the one the colleagues from the Java Server Team created. It covers aspects like modeling, running and monitoring your SAP NetWeaver BPM processes.
For sure this guide is not complete. We added an inital set to it and would love to see it evolving together with your help. So feedback from your side is always appreciated. Furthermore it clearly cannot cover all aspects the [official documentation|https://help.sap.com/nwce] describes and definitely does not aim to compete with it.

Hello,
Have anybody heard of any plans by SAP to support SAP Web Dynpro ABAP as another option for the UI in SAP NeWeaver BPM?
As SAP now delivers some Web Dynpro ABAP UI:s as part of EHP:s etc it would be good to be able to reuse these in SAP NetWeaver BPM.

I've read and tried this tutorial:

After User_A completes his task - User_B is unable to see it in his UWL.
I have retraced my steps and there is no step missing. Can someone point me to a solution please?

I could successfully deploy this tutorial, but I am not seeing task item in UWL for User_A.
Can someone point me how to diagnose this issue?

How or where can download "SAP NetWeaver How-To Guide" 's based code

i got a "SAP NetWeaver How-To Guide" named
"How To... Embed an Xcelsius Dashboard within a SAP NetWeaver Visual Composer"
but i cannot download appendix's based code
XcelsiusWrapperBase.mxml and XcelsiusAdapterSalesTarget.as
can any one tell me how or where i can get it?

Beginning Netweaver BPM

Hello, am new using Netweaver BPM i've installed the netweaver developing studio and i can't find the perspective called process composer, is it a plug-in i should install or what could i do ?, by the way i didn't install the software on server side yet.
Please i need help i can't work on the developer studio yet. Thanks a lot.

then you are using an outdated version. Please download the following version:
EHP1 for SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 - Preview Version
7.1 SR5 was release before 7.1 EHP1! 7.1 EHP1 is the first release of SAP Netweaver BPM. BTW there is no need to install the server for Process Modelling.

You can try this - Log onto SMP
Software Downloads --> Installations and Upgrades --> click on "Installation and Upgrade Guides" on the left panel; this will open a new browser window --> expand "SAP NetWeaver" on the left panel --> SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) --> select Installation or Upgrade as per your need; then you can select the appropriate guide.

New to SAP Netweaver...Please guide....

I have recently joined this network.
So, not sure wether this is right place to post such a question.
I am a fresher in IT field. My level of knowledge is limited to core java and JSP, servlets.
Now I am a member of project team which is working on SAP Netweaver. By now, I have just been able to understand that this has to do something with java. To be more specific I have to work on SAP netweaver Developer studio.....
I wish to pave a good foundation basic knowledge on this entire technology.
I just seek guidance on how to approach for this field.
I am having very basic knowledge about SAP that it is an ERP and have various integrated functional modules. But nothin more than that.
So, do i need to learn SAP before moving towards Netweaver. If so, then to what extent should I learn SAP and how.
I came to know about a book SAP Netweaver for dummies. As its name suggest , i thought it would be better option to start. But not sure.
Please guide me.

SAP Netweaver 7 (2004) installation guide

Hi,
I am trying to install SAP Netweaver 7 (2004) in my desktop. But I am
having problems with it. I do not know how to create a DDIC user and its password. At the last phase of installation it is trying to perform a test logon with DDIC user but failing. I am sure with my system hardware requirements. Can anybody give me a solution, or give me a installation guide which can help me to make it through ?

Hi,
DDIC is a default user.No need to create it.Its password is the master password that you should have given during the time of installation or you can give the password 19920706 which is defined by SAP.
DDIC is mainly for working Transport Mnagement System(TMS).

The links have been updated with the correct versions. This is also true for the ABAP only version, which previously pointed to 7.0 EHP 2.
