SAP NetWeaver BW Connection not working for SBOP4.0
Hello Experts,
Following are the steps & current patches:
SBOP 4.0
Dashboard Design , version: 6.0.0.0
SAP Logon
Release : 720
Patch: 5
1. SAP BW & NetWeaver Portal are not SSO(Single Sign-on)
2. I open the Dashboard Designer
3. Click on "Manage Connection"
4. Select 'SAP NetWeaver BW Connection'
5. It pops-up the Log-on screen
6. Pass on the required information
7. Use the query browser & selected the query
8. it takes the query with no error message
Issue:
1. It is not showing the Input values & Output values
Not able to display the BW Bex Query element using Dashboard Designer - SAP NetWeaver BW Connection.
Please let me know if we are missing any config. or step.
Thanks
Mahendra
Thanks Amit for your suggestions. I tried the below steps & still it is not working:
1. re-installed Adobe version 10.1
2. Tried to connect the BW Bex query using SAP NetWeaver BW connection.
3. I am getting no error but Dashboard designer is not able to display the Input values & Output values of the BW BEx query
As I had mentioned you earlier that when I open the Bex report using the designer using the IE, it calls the portal window & I have to enter the LDAP password then the report opens in the portal.
So I think as our BW & portal are not configured as SSO so when the Dashboard designer tried to load the query from the xml file it fails. It may be because it required my LDAP login credentials.
Please let me know your suggestions.
Thanks
Mahendra

Corporate connectivity not working for some users
Hi,
I'm having an issue that started about a month ago but is getting worse. A select group of users are no longer able to connect using DirectAccess, even though these users have been using their computers for a few months without issue.
BACKGROUND:
-Windows 2008 R2 DirectAccess server
-Windows 7 x64 enterprise clients
-Most clients experiencing the issue have a newer laptop (Lenovo T440 with Intel 7260AC wireless), but the issue is not limited to this model. Also, I have 25+ other Lenovo T440 units that connect without issue to this day.
TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS:
I have tried disabling the various interfaces used for directaccess on these problem machines and have not been able to narrow it down. Essentially- I've noticed the IP-HTTPS interface shows deactivated, so I'll disable Teredo. This
usually allows the IP-HTTPS to show activated, and connectivity is restored. However, after 30 seconds to a few minutes, connectivity will once again drop. So I'll re-enable teredo (default, client, or enterprise client) and connectivity will kick
on for another brief period, but drops again shortly after.
I have confirmed that during these short periods of connectivity working, the wf.msc shows connectivity using NTLM and Kerberos, but the clients just can't seem to stay connected on any interface.
However, in the wf.msc when the clients are not functioning, I only ever see one NTLM entry.LOGS:
Below is a directaccess client log pulled from a non-functioning client before making any changes or any testing. Feel free to ask for the rest of the log if needed-- I have put in place holders for information that may be sensitive. Thank you!!
RED: Corporate connectivity is not working.
Windows is unable to relocationve corporate network names. Please contact your administrator if this problem persists.

Outlook: "Send Immediately when connected" not working for Word 2010
When i disable the option in Outlook "Send Immediately when connected" the messages are placed in the Outbox until i send them manually.
But when i want to send a Word 2010 document from within Word 2010 by E-Mail the message is send immediately.
Is it possible to place the message/document in the Outbox just like with Outlook?
Thnx in advance.Hi,
I cannot reproduce this problem in my environment. When I send a Word document by clicking File > Save & Send > Send as Attachment, it just go to the Outbox like the common message.
Does this issue happen to all Word documents at any time?
What's the send/receive interval you set in your Outlook? It could still occur that your message will be sent near instantly when you send a message right before the automatic send/receive interval takes place.

SAP Netweaver BI Connection in Xcelsius is not working
Hello,
we use Xcelsius Enterprise 2008 SP3 and we would like to connect to a BW Query directly (SAP BW 7.0 EHP1 SP6).
In Xcelsius I can choose Data > Connections > SAP Netweaver BI Connection and I can logon to the SAP system and then select the BW query.
But after that no query elements are shown in the Input and Output Values (nothing happens I just have empty Input and Output Values).
What can I do that I see the query elements?
Please help.
Thanks,
KarinHi,
The pdf in the following link clearly explains the required Autherization objects for XC on BW.

This is not working for me. I tried the Windows 7 Resolution steps multiple times to no avail. Please help. I am obviously connected to the internet (as is iTunes Store).
I am connected to the internet through a Verizon Wireless card, that is my regular internet connection.I did all that HT1925 recommended and it was no help. My computer still won't recognize my iPhone. Often trying to start Apple Mobile Device Service fails with an error message that it starts and then stops immediately.

Error 2032 in SAP Netweaver BI Connection
I am using an xcelsius dashboard through a BICS connection. I am able to connect to a BEx query and publish this dashboard to SAP BW system. I also able to launch this dashboard in IE and everything works fine for next 30 min. I am able to go to multiple tabs in the dashboard and trigger various queries etc. However, after exactly 30 min, I get the error 2032. The exact error text says:
An error has occurred.
For more information, contact the file creator or your system administrator.
Error: Error #2032
Connection Type: SAP NetWeaver BI Connection
I am unable to find any such settings on the BW server side which can break the connection after 30 min. Also, BO is not involved as it's published on BW server itself. So, I am confused about what could be the reason and how to fix it.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards
AkhileshHi All,
We were getting the same issue (Error #2032, while connecting to Bex query from DashboardDesign tool, "The First Post"),
The issue got resolved by installing "patch 14 for DashboardDesign 4.0 SP2".
You guys can try the same.
Thanks

Error #2032 when using SAP NetWeaver BI Connection
Hi,
I'm trying to use to new SAP NetWeaver BI Connection in Xcelsius SP2, but when I try to connect to a BEx Query, I receive error #2032.
I have a crossdomain.xml file in the Tomcat root of the BO-server, and the Adobe Global Security Settings are also filled in with all directories of my BO-server.
Has someone an idea why this error occurs, and how to solve it?
I'm working on Sap NetWeaver 7.0.1 SP5.
LievenWe are using in total 6 different clients with Xcelsius 2008 Enterprise SP2. With two of them we can use SAP NetWeaver BI Connection and do not receive any error. The rest is showing the error message #2032.
There is one difference between the systems which are working and the ones which are not:
After selecting the query in the BI NetWeaver Connection there is an additional popup "Windows security" appearing.
--> The server sapbw100.xxxx at BicsRemote/Config1 requires a username and password.
Filling in the username and password the data from the query appear in the xcelsius.
With the clients which provide an error there is no such popoup.
If we create on an existing installation an .xlf file and open it on one which is not working, the Data Managers show the correct connection. As soon as we click on refreshing data, error #2032 appears.
System configuration clients:
Windows XP and Windows 7
Office 2007
SAP Business Explorer Patch 1001
Regarding the working clients:
One is working on XP the other on Windows 7
Both on Xcelsius 5.2.0.0
Installing the FixPatch for SP2 is also not helping to solve the problem.
All the inputs in this thread have been tested but without sucess. Till now we could not install note 1380059 since related notes are not yet released. -
MAM application is not working for some users
Hi All,
Tha MAM application is not working for some users.Different users have different workcenters other than that I dont see any other change. When I run MAM30_090_GETLIST in the backend I can see the no of customized users. But I cant see same no of users in the MEREP_207 table for the Syncbo MAM30_090 and strcture id TOP in the middleware. There is a data when I checked under worklist monitor for that user. But neither the MAM application nor MAM data is downloading to that device.
If I use different user on the same device I can see the MAM application and MAM data.
What could be the wrong in this case. Any help would be highly appreciated.
Mobile Client:MI 70 SP 15 Patch 0 Build 200802280918
Middleware:SAP NetWeaver 2004s with Patch leve 15
Backend:SAP ECC 6.0
Application:MAM 3.0
Thanks and Regards,
Ameer.Hi,
from your description the source of your issue is quite obvious: some of the MAM users configured in spro are not configured properly.
For T01 SyncBos the number of TOP records in merep_207 MUST be the same as number of headers returned by an appropriate getList FM in the backend.
You need to solve this before you can go any further.
Reason why a record is not recorded in MEREP_207 - getdetail failed for whatever reason. So execute MAM30_ML_getdetail for each of the users that is not replicated in the middleware and check if there are errors in RETURN table. If there is no error - one of the common reason for replication fail is when there are records in item tables that have duplicate primary keys.

Max allowed No of rows in SAP NetWeaver BW Connection
Hi Experts,
I am building a dashboard using SAP Netweaver BW Connection.
Query results in approx 4000 rows of data.(we know its not preferred to go with >512 rows of data but client is ok with the performance issue because of more data).
When i publish the dashboard its showing initializing.... and not moving any further.
I have changed the max. no of rows in the xcelcius(File->Preferences->Excel options->5000).
Please help me in solving this problem ASAP.
Thanks a ton in advance,
Bhargava Bommidi.
Edited by: BHARGAVA BOMMIDI on Mar 31, 2010 11:42 AMHi Bhargav,
I'm also facing the same issue.
Have done all the process given in,SAP Note 1307538.Also changed necessary parameters in Xcelsius.(File->Pref.->Excel Options)
Still the issue is... LiveOffice brings the whole data (approx.>1500 rows) in excel successfully, but when I run the dashboard through parameter/ prompt to webi report it again truncates row after 512 rows.
Looking fwd for help.

Using 2 data (SAP Netweaver BW) connections in Xcelsius dashboard
I have a situation when using 2 data (SAP Netweaver BW) connections in Xcelsius dashboard.
Break-down of issue:
I have a toggle button in our Sales dashboard which displays Top Ten Customers versus Bottom Ten Customers. I use the value of the toggle button to trigger the data connections. When a user clicks the toggle button for Top Ten Customers the value of the toggle button would be a 1 which would trigger a BW query to capture sales data for the Top Ten Customers. When a a user clicks the toggle button for Bottom Ten Customers the value of the toggle button would be a 0 which would trigger a BW query to capture sales data for the Bottom Ten Custoemrs. NOTE: all the key figures in both querys use a scaling factor of 1000. So for example, if invoiced sale has a value of 100,000 the scaling factor of a 1000 would display this key figure with a value of a 100. The issue I am having with the dashboard is when I click the toggle botton for the Top ten Customers, the value shows as 100 and if i click the toggle button for Bottom ten Customers the value would show as 100,000. I need the toggle button to show the values using the scaling factor coming from the BW queries for both Top Ten Customers and Bottom Ten Customers. It's only using the 1000 scaling factor coming from the Top Ten Customers.
Any help on this issue would be graetly appreciated...
Thanks,
JoeHi, I get both. I think the errors are connected. On the one hand it is not possible to create any SAP NetWeaver BW connection, because you cannot enter the connection details- just as in the screen above. The only option you have is to use the "browse" button, but then the blank error appears.
When trying to open a Dashboard from Portal you have to use SAP->Open and then SAP GUI should appear, but here I get the error "Could not open from SAP" instead. I have installed BEx and SAP GUI of course, reinstalled all of them two times just as recommended above, also reinstalled MS Excel, Flash, Java. Furthermore I tried to repair the installation and to change between different editions, personal, departmental etc.
In the meantime I think it should not be possible at all to connect to BW with the departmental license key. Can somebody confirm that? -
SAP NetWeaver BI Connections - Xcelsius 2008 - XI 3.1 Enterprise
Dear Xcelsius experts,
We would like to use "SAP NetWeaver BI Connections" connecting SAP BI Queries directly in Xcelsius 2008, we read in "Xcelsius2008_user_guide_en" that there is this new connection available.
Our Xcelsius 2008 is connected in a BO XI 3.1 Enterprise, but this connection is not available.
How to show and use this new connection type to read SAP BI queries directly ?
Best regards,
Mauro.Dear all,
please find the list of products required to run the new BI NetWeaver Connection in Xcelsius:
Client:
Xcelsius 2008 SP2
NetWeaver Bex Clients greater 7.10 Patch 9.01 (this provides BEx open/save Dialoge infrastructure and more )
Server:
NetWeaver 7.00 Ehp1 SP5 (both ABAP and Java - configured for BEx Web Usage)
Please note that they are partly not released yet: Release date for SP5 is planned for End of September 2009.
Best regards, Olaf -
Hi,
When I integrate a BEx report with Xcelsius via "SAP Netweaver BI Connection", dashboards can only be published to portal.
Is there any chance to use them locally (e.g. pdf, swf)?
Thanks,
ErdemHi Michel,
i got the same "COM Exception".
Our BI application server belongs to a restricted network. We can only access through SAProuter service.
I changed the SAPString field of my BI entry:
Original SAP GUI entry:
Application server: 192.0.0.194
SAPString: /H/paquito.elchocolatero.local/H/
New SAP GUI entry:
Application server: /H/paquito.elchocolatero.local/H/ 192.0.0.194
SAPString:
With the original one, it tried to connect to the Application Server directly. It didn't use the SAP String field. With the new one, i forced to use it.
It worked for us. Maybe a XCelsius bug. We are using the XCelsius SP3.
Kind regards,
Raul.

Extended Notification not working for Dialog Task with agent assignment
Hi Friends,
I have an issue where I have a user decision step and a sub workflow contains a dialog task with agent assignment.
Extended notification is configured properly and is working properly for user decision step but its not working for the dialog task created as an activity.
Batch jobs are configured to run report SWN_SELSEN.
I was checking SDN and found this discussion handy :
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73ehp1/helpdata/en/4f/3bed495cc018c8e10000000a42189e/content.htm
One thing that wonders me is that notifications show up in SOST 4-5 seconds before the user decision step starts execution.
See screenshot from SOST and WF log.
SOST log :
2 questions here: Why is notification not being sent for Dialog task?
Why is user decision notification being sent that early even before the User decision task starts execution?
Please provide your valuable inputs.
Regards,
SandipAn activity step with agents is supported by the extended notifications if it is a decision task or not, I have used it many times and it works well just no approval/rejection links if it's not a decision task.
From your screenshot you can see that a mail has been created and is found in SOST, usually this cases are problems with the mail server or connection to it, check the mail settings in the SMTP node in transaction SCOT, also check with mail server team if there is a block to/from the SAP server. -
Excite PRO 3G connection not work after Android v4.3 update
Hello,
I live in Italy and on last Sunday (january 26th) my Excite PRO tablet (model AT10LE-A-10H) got the Android version 4.3.201121220.35.
After restart my wifi works fine, all other app work fine, but my 3g connection doesn't work, mobile network bar is empty and it says "no service".
My sim card is ok. I used this sim card before the system update and I didn't get any problem with Android 4.2.2.
Please help me.
Thank you>After restart my wifi works fine, all other app work fine, but my 3g connection doesn't work, mobile network bar is empty and it says "no service".
Go to the mobile network settings and search again for the 3G network.
I had similar problem with my Android Smartphone and my o2 provider
I started new search, then I chosen the O2 again and then I could solve the problem.
In case this does not work for you, recommend you to reset the tablet back to default (factory settings)
