SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 SR5 - Trial Version

Hello, I have been checking this on downloads section

I have seen some instalation guides about it,
all of them mention WinXP SP2 or higher or Windows Server 2003,
however, have any of you tried to install this on Windows Vista?
I'd like to know if it works in Vista or if I'll need to install another OS

The SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 SR5 - Trial Version page (link posted above)
mentions the following:
"Try out SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment Trial Version! Develop, model, and design Java
and composite applications with the powerful, Eclipse 3.3 -based SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio
and the composition tools of SAP NetWeaver CE. Deploy, run, and manage those applications on
a solid and scalable Java EE 5 infrastructure. This package contains all you need to work with
the composition and Java tools of SAP NetWeaver, including: ... ..."
AFAIK it will not work on vista 64-bit because this would require to use Eclipse 3.4.
I suppose if you have a 32-bit environment then you may use it with vista.

I have checked regedt32 and found the entry 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BlackICE' which is having detail (Default) REG_SZ (Value not set). When I double click on (Default) it says "Can not edit: Error reading the value's content"

In Services, "BlackICE" service is "Started" and Statup Type is "Automatic" and Logon As "Local System".
I have Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2 and 3 GB RAM. I am using user which is part of "Administrator" group.
Can someone help what could be the issue and how I can resolve it so that can complete the Installation.

SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 Trial Version On Windows VISTA ?

My system meets all the other requirements, except that I have vista on my laptop. Has any1 tried installing SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 Trial Version on vista before...??? Is it possible???

CE trial version does not support vista .. Vista version is suppose to get release in 2008. Following is the system requirement mentioned in the document
Windows XP Professional (Service Pack 2) or Windows 2003 Server (Service Pack 1)
The J2EE Preview has also been tested successfully with Windows 2000 (SP3) and Windows XP (SP1), but is certified only for the two Windows versions above
(Note: If you use a Windows XP account without a password , SAP Management Console can not start/stop your instance via Web Service - use system services instead)
NTFS file system
Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher or Firefox 1.0 or higher
At least 1, 5 GB RAM, 2 GB are recommended
1.5 GHz PC or higher
7 GB free hard disk space
Monitor 1024x768 pixels or more, 256 colors
Internet Access (for CE online documentation)
If no DHCP server is available on your network (which dynamically determines the IP address) or your computer is not connected to any network, you need to install the virtual interface adapter MS Loopback Adapter.

I would like to install 'SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) - ABAP Trial Version' which is available at SDN downloads - in my laptop. how long can i use the same. Will it get expired after some time? Is there any option to use the same for long.

Hi Sarath,
Your SAP NetWeaver 7.0 ABAP evaluation license is valid for 90 days BUT, you can install a new license for valid for more 90 days.
I've using SAP NetWeaver 7.0 ABAP for more then a year and I renewed my license 3 times.
To install a new (Renew) license see my answer in this thread where is saplicense.exe file?.

i tried to install the SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) - ABAP Trial Version on a VM-Image of Windows 2003 server, but received a 601-error concerning the MaxDB-Installation (but surely there was no SAP-installation before)..has anyone an idea if this installation is possible at all?

There is no such link in SDN and I need the TRAIL version , not the licensed one.
SAP used to have it with SR3 but I cannot find it for CE 7.1 SR5?

I started the installation from beginning. This is not an upgrade of system. Its my first time that I install this application.

I got it , There are 3 files ESR for SAP Netweaver CE 7.1 SP5 1 of 3 - 900M(,exe), ESR for SAP Netweaver CE 7.1 SP5 2 of 3 - 900M(rar) and ESR for SAP Netweaver CE 7.1 SP5 1 of 3 - 900M(rar) .Should I donwload all of them???
And Also they are not TRAIL versions. so they will expire for 30 days...I need the TRAIL version...SAP used to have it in SDN...?Do you know where I can find the TRAIL version

SAP NetWeaver 7.1 CE SP05 Trial - SAP System is missing

To all:
I have completed the installation of SAP NetWeaver 7.1 CE SP05 Trial locally to my PC.
When I go into NWDC, I noticed that a SAP instance does not exist in the pulldown Windows -> Preferences - SAP AS Java. When I tried to register my Instance Host and Instance Number it says the sap instance is not currently reachable, check instance name,
So, my question is to everyone, any ideas on why my SAP System is not displayed?
Do I have to have that defined prior to registering the Instance Host and Instance Number?
I have looked at SAP MCC and made sure that for CE1, that my
Instance Host and Instance Number are there.

By the way, not NWDC, but NWDS.

In the table, the cell in the Windows column and MaxDB row holds a link that leads to a page where you can download the installation guide for SR5.

SAP Netweaver with BI/BW content Trial

I was planning on some training myself on the SAP BW and was looking to download any trial version out there for the SAP Netweaver with BI/BW content. I have seen a couple of versions NW 2004 for Linux, NW 7.01 for ABAP and NW 7.02 for ABAP that are named on the SDN but the first two versions that i have mentioned dont have any valid links and they dont exist in the SAP Knowledge Shop either. The only version that is available is the NW 7.02 for ABAP but this trial version doesnt include the BI/BW content in it.
I would appreciate if someone can help me finding a valid trial download links for NW which has the BI/BW content in it. Any version would help me.

Like I explained, the version NW 7.01 download links are no longer valid and the post that you have referenced refer to 7.01.
The links for 7.02 version are valid but it doesn't have the BW content in it. Here is the link that clearly explains my scenario

I would need a trial version that has BI/BW content in the installation file.
Anyways, I have found some paid remote server access to SAP BW on one of the websites.
