Sap netweawer 04 -technical scenario

Hi ;
I am planning to take exam for BW(3.5).There is one section know as "Sap Netweaver 04 -Technical Scenarios".The content in this section are as follows:
-Information Borcasting (overview & positioning)
-Bex Broadcaster functions
-setting up events ,time points and authorization.
-Work book precalculation with
1> BW & sap enterprise portal integration.
2> BW & sap XI integration.
3> BW & Sap MDM integration.
4> BW alerts in central alert frame work
-Web services.
I have no idea from where i should look for materials on this topics to prepare myself for the exam .Any suggestions or help will be appreciated.

Issues in SAP(Idoc)-XI-File scenario

I am working on SAP(Idoc)-XI-File scenario. But in the Receiver agreement i am not able to see the idoc in order to specify some conditions there.
Please suggest if I have to do any settings in order to specify some conditions in the idoc.

U can specify the conditions in Reciever Determination.
1.Go to Scenarios
2.Choose your business scenario
3.Click Service without party
4.Double click Reciever Determination
5.U wil get screen in which there is a option called Configured Recievers.
6.Click there.then u wil get the screen with
Left Operand Op Right Operand
7.There u can specify the condition.

What technical scenario need for an Plan Driven?

Hello experts.
First of all; thanks four yours help and sorry for my english...
I want implant an Plan Driven with SRM 5.0 and ECC 6.0. My dude is the follow: what is the best technical scenario ? Classic or Classic extended ?
I explain a little:
1.- We don´t want makes Shopping cart in SRM.
2.- We bring the documents of ECC for Sourcing.
3.- We makes bids from Sourcing cockpit ( bbpsoco01 )
4.- We simulates that the vendor into the system to makes quots. we don´t want SUS.
5.- The contract are local in SRM but it´s replicated in ECC.
6.- PO are locals in ECC.
7.- Invoice and confimance goods / services in ECC.

Hi Jose,
I would recommend you to implement the Classic Scenario for a simple reason that you want the leading P.Os in ECC.
If you implement the classic scenario all your requirements get fulfilled except taht even contracts will be created in ECC but not in SRM.
Confirmation and invoice can be done in either ECC or SRM based on your convenience.
Hope this makes you more clear and helps in resolving your issue.Clarifications are welcome.

Technical Scenario Switch: From Standalone To Extended Classic

Hello,
Currently we are preparing the system to change the technical scenario from standalone to extended classic (SRM 4.0)
While the Customizing steps are clear, it isn´t so clear how the data that already exist in the system will behave after the scenario switch.
Before the scenario switch, the purchasing department is closing all open SRM local purchase orders.
Someone has already done this kind of scenario switch?
What were the problems you encounter?

Before talking about de-activating ECS or not in this BADI, this scenario must first be activated.
This is done via the customizing point "Activate ECS": just flag the check-box, and all you classic items (i.e. those for which a backend has been determined) become extended classic.
Here is the SRM - IMG path:
SRM Server --> Cross-Application Basic Settings --> Activate Extended Classic Scenario.
You can then fine-tune the scenario by using the BADI BBP_EXTLOCALPO_BADI.
Note- The BADI BBP_EXTLOCAL_PO_BADI can be used to activate the classic scenario based on the proguct categories .
You can choose to have the 3 scenarios working on the same SRM system depending on product category (standard) or any other business rule through the BADI BBP_EXTLOCALPO_BADI. The BADI is mandatory if you want the Classic and the Extended Classic to work together
Exactly, this BADI allow you to implement your own business rule for backend determination in a multiple Backends environment (Standard customizing is only based on Product categories)
As soon as you use BADI BBP_EXTLOCALPO_BADI , you don't have to use the ECS scenario activation customizing point (the rule is overwritten with the BADI result). The BADI BBP_DETERMINE_LOGSYS will only help in your case, if you have several Backend where to create PO documents.
PS: be aware that in ECS scenario you will no longer be able to create PR or reservations in R/3.

I have checked in Service market place there we can find only CE 7.1 with SP 5 guides not CE 7.1 with SP8.
My question is that do i need to install SAPNetweawer CE 7.1 with SP 5 then through patched i will take system to SP 8?
What is the requirement to install SAP Netweawer CE 7.1 in terms of OS and Database(Windows,DB2)?

For the 2nd part of the Q, you can take a 64 bit Windows server with atleast 4 GB RAM for good performance.
In case you a re looking for specific hardware requirements, then goto http://service.sap.com/instguides-> SAP Netweaver-> SAP Netweaver CE -> CE 7.1 and refer section "Hardware and software requirements" in the installation guide.

Technical Scenario Feasibility

Hello All,
We need to configure the self-service procurement scenario(on SRM Server 5.0) but are unabvle to decide which Technical scenario to be implemented and dont know whether that will be feasible.
The requirement is that only the Shopping cart need to be created in EBP(SRM) and all the follow on activities should take place in Backend.Also in addition to this,the GR (Movement type 105) also needs to be carried out in SRM.
Can anyone please suggest whether this is feasible with the CLASSIC SCENARIO?

Hi,
You can use either the classic or the extended classic for that.
Be aware that:
- with the classic scenario you can create PR, PO and/or Reservations in R/3, but there is no local purchasing document (except the SC), so all functions around the local PO will not be possible.
- with the extended classic scenario, you can only create PO in the backend, but a local PO exists in SRM.
Concerning GR, it is possible to make it in SRM for both scenario

As take furthur to this requirement of SAP CE 7.1. Following are the prerequisites to install Nakisa:-
1)Java Runtime 1.5:- This is the prerequsite before installing Java Stack.
2)SAP Java Connector:-This is JCO.
3)Java Enterprise Edition 5:- is this related to 1 line?
4)Java Virtual Machine 1.5.x :- s this related to 1 line?
I would like to know that basically we install Java runtime 1.5 or any version before installing Java Stack, do
we need to install any additional things(Java Enterprise Edition 5,Java Virtual Machine 1.5.x) before initiating
installation process.

We are implementing CRM Middleware - Multiple Backend Scenario (MEP / MBE Concept) in our client landscape for SAP CRM on HANA (Ehp3)
set-up.
And If any one of you have already implemented MEP Scenario in the SAP CRM Landscape, Could you please help us to provide with the Configuration Steps / Documents, so that we can proceed further.
Below are the following Queries:
For Customizing Adapter Object:
1) Does MEP Concept support the Customizing Adapter object to download from more than one ECC System to single CRM System.
    If Yes, Could you please provide the Configuration steps or Procedure to download the customizing data.
For Master Adapter Object:

SAP PI 7 Sample Scenarios

When I look through the forum, I see a lot of questions about XI sample scenarios.
However, all the results are for SAP XI. Is there any or many sample scenarios for PI 7?
The methodology is the same, but there are a few differences procedurally. I
am looking for end to end scenarios if there are any.

Integrate nagios with sap solution manager technical monitoring

Hello,
We are using nagios to gather the alert from the CCMS of the solution manager 7.1.
Recently we start using the Sybase ASE DB 15.6 and 16 on SAP solution manager and Business suite. As the CCMS is not provided to monitor Sybaseand the only way to check sybase info is through the dbacockpit and the technical monitoring I would like to know if a concection is possible between nagios and the system monitoring in Solution manager so we can gather the needed monitoring informations.

As far as I know there is no standard way of doing this at the moment.
