Hi,
Can anyone please suggest how can I implement the SAP Note 1391072 - 1099 Legal Changes for 2009.
This note is talking about import of some transport in system but I am not sure what need to be done.
Please suggest how can I implement it.

This note is basically talking about import of transport in system and if you visit to Service.sap.com then you will get a zip file of transport. This zip file need to be imported in system...

1099M - 2008 Legal changes for 1099 Reporting

Hello experts,
I have been using program RFW1099M via Sapscript form to generate the 1099M. Based on note 1279366 on 2008 legal changes for 1099 reporting, sap provided the 1099MISC form in Smartforms.
I don't use Smartforms. Is there any sap 1099M program provided using Smartforms ?
The sapscript form i currently have looks the same as the 2008 1099Misc. So I don't know why i have to use Smartforms. Pls let me know what you think ?

SAP Note 1614681 - ESI monthly report for filing details of ESIable employe

Any one implemented this SAP Note
While doing the manual steps mentioned in SAP Note 1614681 - ESI monthly report for filing details of ESIable employees .
we found some difficulties.
Please let me know the steps that you followed while implementing this.
Note Summary
Symptom
As per the new rule introduced by ESIC authorities, an organization is liable to file details of employees eligible for ESI contribution during a particular period/month. Details are to be uploaded on the ESIC website in the format prescribed by the ESIC authorities. Currently, as a part of SAP standard delivery, ESI Form5 and Form6 are provided which are used to report ESI contribution for a period of six months. However, there is no such provision to generate monthly ESI details in system and report it to the ESIC authorities.

We tried to apply the manual steps mentioned along with the note. We were able to do first two steps that is inserting the messages in message class and creating new text elements..
When we tried for the 3rd step, we are facing the problem..
When we gave the name ''HR_IN_ESI_MON_DET '' in SE18 and and try to create it asked for the package...since it is SAP standard we gave PC40( since all ESI badi is saved in this package i gave this) for the package name.....and it got created and each time it was asking for Access key...( After providing access key in each step it got created)
Now when i check in SE80 this enhancement is there....but if i check in SE18 it says Enhancement spot doesn't exist.

Implementing Country legal changes for US/Canada/Australia

Hello Experts,
We need your expertise advice in implementing Country Legal Changes for US/Canada/Australia.
Currently we are at HRSP 29, implemented HRSP41 in this week and implementing HRSP 42 in next month, Can you please advice us are there any specific notes related to Country Legal Changes needs to be implemented (manually and automatically with HRSP42)?
Any help would be appreciated!!!

Since you are talking of HRSP 41, you should be on SAP_HR EnhP6.04.
You should visit service.sap.com/hrcanada to read on what notes must be applied after the base HRSP (or CLC). If I remember correctly, the "Year-End Note for Canada" should be available on December 1st, and if required, a Delta Note will become available mid-December. There may also be individual Notes to apply up to late February if some things need to be corrected for the T4/T4A process (Forms, Magmedia, etc...).
You should also visit service.sap.com/hrusa for information on US Year-end, and the ERP HCM Payroll North America discussion forum (SAP ERP HCM Payroll North America).
As for Australia, the SAP Service Marketplace webpage (when you visit /hrcanada or /hrusa) has a "menu" on the left hand side of the page where you could follow SAP ERP Human Capital Management > Country Information > Asia-Pacific > Australia.
An other source of information may be the Wikis on the Country's Payroll (http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ERPHCM/ERPHumanCapital+Management)

1099 MISC forms for 2009 Layout

Does anybody know if the SAP Notes for 1099 forms for 2009 layout has been released? I would appreciate if you can provide the SAP Notes Numbers. We are on ECC 6.0

That note explains the changes and says they will be released in November 2009, but I have not seen the release yet. I did see that yesterday they released note: 1413409 but it says to apply a HOTFIX and it is for Support Package SAPK-10102INA1SBCCG, SP 02 for A1S_BCCG 1.01 *** prepackage 02.11.09 ***" .
We are also on ECC 6.0 but are also installing EhP 4 this weekend. Our BASIS team says this note does not apply to us but it is the only one I have seen for 1099 Misc forms. So I am interested in the same note Marco is, please.

1099 law change for 2012

In the US, changes are coming to the requirements for 1099 reporting - basically any vendor paid more than $600 in a year needs to be given a 1099; no payments without first knowing the vendor's SSN/TIN, some address rules, etc. This means huge numbers of 1099s will be required to be issued for even midsize companies.
I know this is early, but has anyone begun to look at how to accomodate these changes in SAP?

michelle, the 1099 report allows for the date restriction. in order to flag 1099 vendors, you must implement a small amount of configuration.
take the class called Sales/Use Tax for the US. the instructions for configuration of withholding tax is in that class. i believe that it is even offered online from sap now.
the running of 1099 vendors should take 20+ minutes, depending on the size of the company. perhaps, an hour or two to print for a large company which runs revenues into the $$ billions yearly.

SAP note 191927 - Posting logic : GR for foreign currency PO

Hi all,
In the page 2 of SAP note 191927 , it say : if an invoice already exist for a GR quantity during good receipt ,
good receipt is valuated with the invoice price .
Does it mean , if the invoice already exist , we can create Account Payable when we good received in the system ?

SAP Note asks me to change Web Dynpro application

Hello Gurus,
Firstly I am very new to WebDynpro - JAVA.
SAP note asks me to do following
In netweaver Developer studio IDE, in the project esa~lea select Fcform in the webdynpro components.
2. Select the component controller , in the implementation
go to the method setLeadSelectionForSubtype
3. Replace the code
4. save the changes and build and deploy the DC essleasap.com
Please guide me what setttings I must do in NWDS and how to go about. How to access the project esa~lea, is it local (download from server) or through remote.
If you can guide me step by step, it would be of great help.

Hi ,
If you have already created the webdynpro project,
Open your component controller by dbl clicking on it and move on to the tab called implementation.
No find the method called setLeadSelectionForSubtype
and paste your code with in the space like the following.
//@@begin setLeadSelectionForSubtype()
//@@end
Save.
Now right click on your project name... build it by choosing
Development Component ---> Build
then next
Development Component ---> Deploy.
Before Deploying first set your server details in which you want to deploy.
Go to Windows menu- > preferance -> SAP J2EE Engine -> specify Server ip and port... _> Apply and Ok..
Now deploy it...

SAP NOTE 748028 ISSUES in Implementing for message SE117

Hi Friends,
I am not able to implement SAP NOTE 748028. After Downloading in SNOTE it's saying 'Note can't be implemented', but I am not finding any Correction instruction inside the NOTE.
I was getting error message SE117: General Error During Acceptance Posting while transferring Shipment via Tcode VI02.
PLEASE HELP IN THIS REGARD.

Hello,
As you mentioned note 748028 has no code correction hence you can not implement it via SNOTE.
Concerning SE117, 99% of times is due to customising settings.
Please follow note 748028. This note provides valuable information
to find out the real error under general SE117. See "Strategies to determine the cause" section.

Leap second time change for 2009

A 'leap second' will be added onto the final minute of 2008, does anybody know if this impacts Oracle ?

Oracle RDBMS needs no patches and has no problem with the leap second changes on OS level

SAP Notes for installing ERP 6.0 EHP4 on NW 7.01 on IBM i 7.1

The last time I install SAP on IBM i was about 3 years ago with ECC 6 on NW 7.00 on IBM i V5R4. Now, I have to install ERP 6.0 EHP4 on NW 7.01 on IBM i 7.1 for my new customer (only the ABAP ERP components - not CRM, SCM, SRM or Java stack). I try to first gather all important SAP notes that would be useful for me in doing the installation. By far, I identify note 1234455 (NetWeaver 7.0 EHP1/Business Suite 7 - IBM i) and 1432783 (Known Issued with IBM i 7.1). Is there any other notes I should be aware of for a successful installation?
I also need to identify the list of installation DVD that I need for this installation but, so far, I can identify DVD 51038620 (Install Master) and 51036902 (Install Export). I know I need more DVD than these two but I could not find any SAP notes that list all the DVD number I need.
Any suggestion would be very much appreciated?

What is special here ?
- Installation runs similar to your ecc6 stuff from 3 years ago - we typically replace the kernel of the kernel CD with a new patch level on the CD already.
- the big point is, that the system does NOT have EHP4 installed when you are done with SAPinst ;-(
you do have NW 7.01 and ERP6.00 => you have to start SAPEHPI immediately after that for all the components, that you require on EHP4. This is 95% of an complete upgrade => the installation is 2 . 3 times the effort of what wou would expect ...

You have to ask your manager to get OSS User ID and Password.
They must have User id and password,get it and use that one in service.sap.com

New entries in table TSTC not capturing in scu3 change logs

Hi ,
We have TSTC table log enabled.
New Entries which comes through transport in the table TSTC are not capturing in change logs.
We have created a new Z T-code and transported it to Quality and then to Production.
But in the change logs of the tbale TSTC it is not captured both in quality and Production.
In the table TSTC t-code is present.
But the change log for the table doesnot show any new entry created.
In development change log of TSTC, the change is present but in Quality and Production it is not present.
Development client : 400
Quality Client : 600
Production Client : 600
Can any one spill some beans on it...

You need to add "recclient = ALL" (or same client value as "rec/client" profile parameter in RZ10) to the transport profile as well in the STMS.
Search SAP notes and the forum here for "recclient" (without "/")
