SAP Note 1720495 in Required to be implemented in EHP7 upgrade.

Hi Team,
During the ERP6.0 EHP7 upgrade before we release the system for SPAU activities is it mandatory to apply the SAP Note 1720495.

Hi Ravi,
Do you see in SPAU Snotes with status "SAP note <no.> obsolete; de-implementation necessary"
If yes then only proceed with note implementation. Else this is not required.
Note says: When you observe such status and try to de-implement the note , it destroys the code.
So if you observe such status and want to perform de-implementation of SAP note, first implement this note and then proceed with de-implementation.

Hello Friends,
my BW system was in SP4 so there were some NOTEs which were require to be implemented and related to SP5. so I had implemented those Notes and collected in TR, TR was in test system and now we are in SP05 so we have deleted the TR from test system buffer coz these NOTEs are not required now. now my doubt is as I had applied NOTE in development system so do i need to reset it or not, coz if I reset it then whatever the code changes done by NOTE will be removed. It may delete the code which might come with SP05(I mean, SP05 should have all the changes which we have applied when we r in SP04). so do i need to reset the NOTE or just leave it.

You can leave it there and then reset to orignal when new SP is implemented.
SAP will take care of it technically.

Sap Note:792372 Implement?

My name is Samad Farooq.
Has any one implemented the SAP note:792372, by the name of kp97 cumalative copying. It is used to add two versions of planning from source to target.
I had implemeneted this note, but cannot see any changes. Can any one help me
how to see the changes or to administrator the note. when i implmented it prompeted with green lamps this indicates it had sucessfully implemented..but why i can see the changes.

Hi,
those Suggested SAP Notes are the prerequisites for Implementing your expected SAP Note. You will see the corrections list in that SAP Note, once you traverse that listed corrections, you will come to know about some prerequisite SAP Notes, which need to be applied along with the SAP Note, which you are going to implement.
The SNOTE will suggest you the list of other valid and required prerequisites/dependent SAP Notes, which will be downloaded and applied in one run along with that SAP Note. you can not ignore them. Before you implement the SAP Note, read the prerequisite SAP Notes carefully.

I have a scenario which needs to be posted to the G/L account withholding tax amount through Rebate agreement.
We have already configured the Rebate commission business process. Monthly we will pay the commission to the Agent.
Especially for India we need to calculate the Withholding tax amount on the commission paid to the Agent.
We can able to capture the Commission amount through the credit memo. But the tax amount on the commission --we are trying to post it through the agreement ( Partial or Final rebate settlement credit memo )
This amount needs to be posted through the agreement in Credit memo.
This has to be posted through the agreement.
Then i found two OSS notes 178824 & 801839.
Will it solve my requirement?
I need your valuable inputs.. Kindlylet me know if you need some more information...

While implementing a SAP note, hope it is mandatory to implement the pre-requisite notes.
Is it also necessary to implement the related notes mentioned in the note?

You only have to implement the pre-requisite notes, not the related notes. These are often just referring to notes that resemble the ones you are implementing, meaning they share some similar error for example.

Deimplement SAP notes

Hello Gurus,
Do you know if is there any way to confirm if a SAP note that is implemented via SNOTE can be deimplemented? Is there a specific procedure to follow up to proceed with the deimplement process? Or do you just have to enter only to SNOTE -> Choose the Note -> "Click on Reset SAP note implementation"?

Hi,
Just check SAP note that you want to de-implement if there is no manual step involved in it then you can implement with step mentioned by you. If there is any manual step involved then you have to work accordingly.

SAPCAR files are nothing but External Transport Request which consists of CO/DATA files.
ask ur basis person to import there files into ur servers.
They can do it.
these files u have to Add to ur TP Buffers , which u cannt do it in Front end STMS.

You can Track using T-code SNOTE and go-to SAP Note browser. Check for the Implementation status 'Completely Implemented'. check the Note log for more details.
Maually applied notes you can track thru Transport Request numbers.

Issue in implementing the sap note 1401975

I am trying to implement the sap note 1401975 in the 4.7 version( SAP_APPL 470, Patch level 26). to implement this note i have to create a Function Module with export parameter of TYPE SEPA_STR_DATA_MANDATE_DATA. the problem here is the structure SEPA_STR_DATA_MANDATE_DATA not available in my system and no instructions are given in the note to create this structure. i have also implemented the prerequisite notes 1305012, 1360908.

Reason and Prerequisites
As a prerequisite, you require Noter 1090321 for SEPA Direct Debit and the two SEPA credit transfer Notes 1305012 and 1360908. Check whether these notes have already been implemented (search in the ABAP Dictionary (transaction SE11) for the structures FPAYHX_MDT and FPM_SEPA and check in transaction SE37 whether the function DMEE_EXIT_SEPA_21 already exists) and implement them if necessary.
To be able to use the B2B (Business to Business) function, you also require enhancements in the SEPA third-party management (SAP Basis) that are delivered in a separate note.
Check this prerequisite notes 1090321, 1305012 and 1360908 and its corrections present in your system

New TDS requirement SAP note 1486147

Hello,
This is regarding the new TDS requirement for which SAP note 1486147 has to be implemented.
The problem is that we have implemented the note and also maintained entries in J_1I_SECCO_CIT as well as the entries in J_1IEWT_ACKN.
When we do the testing we are constantly getting one error " J1IN:016"
This error code is not defined in SE91.
If any one has handled such a scenario please let us know.

Achnowledgement details comes in table it_qrtrtab at run time in the smartform, you can dibug the program j_1iewt_cert and smartforms J_1iewt_cert where at run time you will able to see data avaialability, If values are not available in this internal table then check related notes given by SAP, I have already implemented this note and also faced same issue but my FI consultant has given me the related note and my issue was resolved.
Please checkout related notes and data population in the dibugger.

Clarification required on SAP note

Hi Experts,
                After a recent upgrade it was seen that a particular note, that was required for the business, was taken out of the system.
               Later the issue was further analyzed and it was seen that the status of this note was 'Obsolete' for our current version. Also this note has been categorized as a 'Consultancy' Note rather than a fix. Can someone please explain why this occurs and will it be possible for me to apply this note again in our SAP systems ?

Implement SAP note while upgrade is running

Hello Folks,
In our upgrade, during our downtime phase, we are running into an issue that requires an SAP Note implementation. We started our main instance, but when we go into SNOTE transaction, it is not allowing us to implement any notes. It gives the message "cannot implement/deimplement SAP notes; upgrade is running"
We already tried commands tp unlocksys, tp unlock_eu, but nothing works. We are already past shadow instance switch, so unlocking shadow instance is no good.
Can anyone provide any inputs on how to overcome this issue?

I think you have to implement the correction included in sap notes manually during upgrade.
You can refer to note 1369430. In this note, it is said that:
3. Now use a modification to change the source code for the function
    module ENH_MASS_ACTIVATION and the method
    CL_ENH_TOOL_HOOK_DEF->IF_ENH_OBJECT~AFTER_IMPORT as described in the
    attached correction instructions. You cannot currently use the Note
     Assistant SNOTE to do this. Activate this change.
So you see that it is not possible to use SNOTE during upgrade even after using unlocksys
and unlock_EU command.
