Sap Note implementation Issue

Hi All,
While implementing an Oss note using SNOTE it is giving a popup asking to implement a prerequisite note, but this prerequisite note is already in status "Implemented completely" and processing status was set to "Completed" earlier. What could be the reason. Help needed.

Issue with SAP Note Implementation 977220

Hi ALL,
             I am trying to implement the SAP Note: 977220 for the Report RFIDPL06 (FI Localization for the Country Poland).
While trying to implement the SAP Note: 977220, the system (version 4.6 C) successfully implements (Green Traffic Light) the following SAP Notes: 975358, 990307 & 1016797 as a pre-requisite. However after that when the system is trying to implement the SAP Note: 977220; it's showing the yellow traffic light because it can't find the followings:
1. Context Block (Not Found)
    IF documents-egrkz = '9' OR documents-egrkz = '2'
      IF documents-ktosl = 'ESE'.
        doc_sum-tax = '0'.
        APPEND doc_sum. "943278
      ENDIF.
2. Delete Block (Not Found)
      COLLECT doc_sum. "943278
What can I do to resolve the issue ?? Any help will be highly appreciated!!

SAP NOTE 748028 ISSUES in Implementing for message SE117

Hi Friends,
I am not able to implement SAP NOTE 748028. After Downloading in SNOTE it's saying 'Note can't be implemented', but I am not finding any Correction instruction inside the NOTE.
I was getting error message SE117: General Error During Acceptance Posting while transferring Shipment via Tcode VI02.
PLEASE HELP IN THIS REGARD.

Hello,
As you mentioned note 748028 has no code correction hence you can not implement it via SNOTE.
Concerning SE117, 99% of times is due to customising settings.
Please follow note 748028. This note provides valuable information
to find out the real error under general SE117. See "Strategies to determine the cause" section.

SNOTE Transaction is available from 4.6C version owards only ... and to know whether you have to apply it manually or through SNOTE you will have to confirm it by the user ... for details refer

Questions about SAP Note Implementation

I have never implemented SAP note before. We are on ECC 5.0 and want to implement note 1041579. I looked at the correction instructions for the note and it says
Prerequisites

I have following questions.
1. Does it mean that I need to implement note 0000795865 before I implement 1041579, also what do the Corrections mean? Are these some other notes I have to implement
2. How can I see what notes have already been implemented in the system and which are not?

Does this mean that all these other notes (761173, 847204, 795865) should be implemented before 1041579.
Ans : There are normally pre-requisities for any note and again that pre-requisite note will have many more pre-requisite notes. It doesnt mean that we have to implement all those notes. See whether that specific note is applicable for the version and package that you are using. Also do a search as I have told you to see whether that note has already been applied.
Also the prerequisite for 795865 is 847204 how can that be the note number 847204 is greater than 795865?
Ans : Note numbers doesnt need to be ascending. I am not sure how a note gets its number, but definetly they dont need to be in an ascending order.

SAP NOTE implementation as part of charm

Hi all,
Is there any seperate configuration for the NOTE implementation through solution manager similar to charm.
As of now i know the SAP Notes tab is used for recommending the notes to the end user for their problem.
Is there any other functionality related to that tab.

I wanted to know whether can we implement the SAP NOTE through service desk / ChaRM.
and if so....will it use a TR created in charm and move it to production or any spl functionality available so that it is categorized as a different function.

implement notes to the abap stack only with transaction snote, you ll never get that errors. For any reason in the new source code a function module "RSA2_SERV_FIELDORIGIN_GET" is called but not found. May be fm was not activated, may be fm was not implemented, may be there is a spelling failure during the call.

my BW system was in SP4 so there were some NOTEs which were require to be implemented and related to SP5. so I had implemented those Notes and collected in TR, TR was in test system and now we are in SP05 so we have deleted the TR from test system buffer coz these NOTEs are not required now. now my doubt is as I had applied NOTE in development system so do i need to reset it or not, coz if I reset it then whatever the code changes done by NOTE will be removed. It may delete the code which might come with SP05(I mean, SP05 should have all the changes which we have applied when we r in SP04). so do i need to reset the NOTE or just leave it.

You can leave it there and then reset to orignal when new SP is implemented.
SAP will take care of it technically.

SAP Note implementation 412391

Hi Friends
I got the note from my client side that we have to apply ths note 412391.
But when I am trying to search this note it is showing that the note is not yet released.
Then i got the same text note from SAP.
They replied me by saying please read the note and make the changes accordingly.
I read that note but the validity of note is till basis610 release and we are running our system on 640 release.
can anybody provide me the procedure for replying it to client side.

All you need to do to unlock usmm is to delet some entries from tables TUSTAT and TUCON as mentioned in the note 412391.you can do it by two methodes
1)use se16
2)execute following abap program
     REPORT Z_DEL_STAT.
     DELETE FROM TUSTAT
       WHERE status = 'R' OR status = 'L'.
     DELETE FROM TUCON
       WHERE SYM_GRP = 'Meas. res.' and SYM_KEY = 'Trans
     Stat'.
It is 100% sure that USMM will be unlocked.

SAP Notes Issue

Hello Experts,
Actually I had an issue while opeing SAP Standard Query, this issue is due to some missing BI Content information then I requested Basis team to apply SAP Note, they came back to me saying that SAP Note is already applied, then immediately I tried to confirm whethere that SAP Note was implemented or not in the TCode:SNOTE in the Note Assistant Browser (I followed the procedure from "SAP BW Consistency Check Guideline" document) but I couldn't find my SAP Note when I searched there. Can anybody help me out is there any alternate way to find out SAP Notes which are existing in my BW System.

Hi Roger,
Generally two way we can find whether sap note implemented or not
1. Goto Txn SNOTE -> there you find whther you note implemented or not, if it is implemented you can see the Tick symbol
2. Manually you can check in the system, whether the corresponding changes already done asper the SAP Note or not. If that required changes have not been done then that note is not implemented.

Implement SAP note while upgrade is running

Hello Folks,
In our upgrade, during our downtime phase, we are running into an issue that requires an SAP Note implementation. We started our main instance, but when we go into SNOTE transaction, it is not allowing us to implement any notes. It gives the message "cannot implement/deimplement SAP notes; upgrade is running"
We already tried commands tp unlocksys, tp unlock_eu, but nothing works. We are already past shadow instance switch, so unlocking shadow instance is no good.
Can anyone provide any inputs on how to overcome this issue?

I think you have to implement the correction included in sap notes manually during upgrade.
You can refer to note 1369430. In this note, it is said that:
3. Now use a modification to change the source code for the function
    module ENH_MASS_ACTIVATION and the method
    CL_ENH_TOOL_HOOK_DEF->IF_ENH_OBJECT~AFTER_IMPORT as described in the
    attached correction instructions. You cannot currently use the Note
     Assistant SNOTE to do this. Activate this change.
So you see that it is not possible to use SNOTE during upgrade even after using unlocksys
and unlock_EU command.

In exceptional cases you can remove correction instructions that have been implemented. The changes that you implemented are then reset. The SAP Note remains in your system and is reset to the status that it had before you implemented it.
To do this, choose Reset SAP Note Implementation.

How to revert back a SAP NOTE? Dump- Field symbol has not yet been assigned

Hi Experts,
We r getting dump(cause: Field symbol has not yet been assigned) in production for ABUMN tx, so, when debugged, it came to know that, the Field symbol is coming from REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY!!
So, for some reason the system message text is not getting output in ALV-->Dump!!
So, found a NOTE causing this problem!!
So, pls. let me know that, How to revert back this/any SAP NOTE? pls. in detail steps wise!!

Regarding reversing a SAP note

Hi all ,
I implemented SAP note 921164 ( for MB51 performance improvement) .System suggested few other notes to be implemented as a prerequisite and I did the same. Right now , I want to cancel all the SAP notes implemented and implement only 921164 again. Is it possible to do the same ?
When I go to transaction SNOTE and click on "Cancel SAP note implementation", it doesn't work ; as any note I click on it says - This note has been installed as a prerequisite , so cannot be reversed. Any clues on how to go about reversing the effects of such inter-dependent SAP notes ?

In fact you can't directly reverse a payment document.
first you need to reset in FBRA and then it should be reversed in FB08.
Any way for your question, please find my answer.
if you want to reverse a reversal document, go to FBR2 and enter your document no.,company code and fiscal year.
select the generate reversal posting check box under flow control. it will be reversed.

Deimplement SAP notes

Hello Gurus,
Do you know if is there any way to confirm if a SAP note that is implemented via SNOTE can be deimplemented? Is there a specific procedure to follow up to proceed with the deimplement process? Or do you just have to enter only to SNOTE -> Choose the Note -> "Click on Reset SAP note implementation"?

Just check SAP note that you want to de-implement if there is no manual step involved in it then you can implement with step mentioned by you. If there is any manual step involved then you have to work accordingly.
