SAP Note not being implemented.

Dear all,
I am trying to download and implement the Note Note 1097223 - Search help is not executed, by SNOTE transaction but even after successfully downloading message, it is not showing in the Notes list hence I am not able to implement it.
Please help.

Hello,
Actually any one can change the user when they try to implement the note. If someone else was trying to implement the note using note browser, the first screen would be changing the user to the logged-on user id.
You can change it back to your user by selecting the note in note browser, then select manual SAP Note -> set Processing Status, then select 'In processing', and you can change the note to your user.

Hi,
please look at the item SOLUTION in the SAP note (immediately before the header data).
There you can find all actions to do, actions before SNOTE, actions after SNOTE, ...
But there are more problems if your notes need other related notes, which will be downloaded automatically.
Look into all of them before implementing the SAP notes for manual actions!

For SRM 4.0, you must use SAP Basis 6.40 Support Package 13 or higher (SAPKB64013+) to manually implement the corrections using transaction SNOTE. Import the relevant Support Package if necessary.
Then use transaction SE80, for example, to publish the Internet service 'BBPGLOBAL'.
Follow same way.Snote then se80.

How to know whether the changes are implemented by sap or not(not manually)

On 4.7 version in some standard objects(SAP Objects) some changes are done by custom by using modification assistance.
On ecc 6.0 version I need to know whether the same changes are done by custom or sap? ( not manually)
Let me know is there any process to know the changes done by sap or custom on ecc 6.0.

Note 1148489 being updated for U.S. Economic Stimulus Act configuration

I'm in process of making configuration changes as recommended by SAP in Note 1148489 for the 2008 Economic Stimulus Act, and was planning to implement these changes in a couple weeks.
As of last week, I noticed that the note is in process of being updated, and was wondering if anyone knew the status of these updates (are the updates extensive - should I hold off on working on this?). Also wondering when the expected date of completion of these updates will be.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated, as I will need to communicate to the users if my implementation date will be postponed because of this.

Thanks for your reply. The note was available in English back in March, and that is what I was using. However, when trying to pull up the note now, the version has been updated to Version 4, but I get a message stating "The note is in the selected version/language not up to date".
I try to compare against Version 2 (the original version I was working off of), and nothing is available.
It looks like it is being updated, and I want to make sure that they don't change something that will affect the configuration I have done so far.
When you try to pull up the note now, do you get the same message as I stated above?

SAP is not coming up after system refresh with Export/Import option

Please check the logs it is clrerly mentioned thet your sapsystem is not able to connect to database.

Getting error while implementiong SAP note :Note 1240587 For MDM

I am tring to implement Note 1240587 - MDM 5.5 and 7.1 Low performance when MDM workflow is used.
The machine in which our MDM is implemeted is a Unix machine and i have created an executable jar (Including the Coding provided in the SAP note) in my Windows machine, have copied the jar in our MDM server.
when i am trying to execute the jar file i am getting error.
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.Error: Unresolved compilation problems:
        UserSessionContext cannot be resolved or is not a type
        The method createSessionContext(String, String, String, String) is undefined for the type DeleteCompletedWorkflowJobs
        WorkflowTask cannot be resolved
        at DeleteCompletedWorkflowJobs.main(DeleteCompletedWorkflowJobs.java:35)
the coding of DeleteCompletedWorkflowJobs.java class is the same as provided by SAP in note.
Kindly suggest what should be i do in this case.

Before implementing the automatic corrections from this note, implement Note 1487337 or import the relevant Support Package into your system.
I think This class CL_ABAP_DYN_PRG is not available in your system which comes with support pack mentioned as above or comes with the note 1487337.
So check in se24 whether this class is available or not and if not then apply note 1487337 first and then after apply 1590863.

SAP Security Note 1487730

Last week we saw SAP releasing its SAP Security Notes as per its SAP Security Patch Day Practice .
One of thenotes released was related to a BUG FIX in a Kernel as per note 1487730

Now the issue goes this way .
We are on Kernel 7.01 SP Level 79.
According to the NOTE we need to be atleast on SP Level 103 .
When I check out at Marketplace I can only Find SP Level 111 which is the latest and released on 14.10.2010 ie. 2 days after the NOTER was released .
Apprantely we follow a Thumbs Rule here to Implement the Kernel which is lower than the latest Kernel .
The issue is I cant find Kernel SP Level 103 .
Is it safe to go for SP Level 111 .
Our Database is ORACLE 10.2.0.4
OS PLatform :- Solaris Sparc 64- Bit NON UNICODE

Generally the rule of N - 1 is followed for SAP Application patches and not for kernel.
You can go for latest kernel, it will not be any problem.

For ur requirment SAP is suggesting to create COPY Control routine...
==> Go to transaction VOFM
==> In menu bar/Sub-menu, select "COPY Control", U will get a list of SAP standard routines defined there...
==> U can select one & check it u will understand the coding for it...
==> If Code is given in code... Create a new one (between 900 - 999) which is given to customers...
It will create a program... RV60CXXX where 'XXX' will be the number u give...
U have register that with SAP using the S-key for ur SAP installation & get the key....
Then u can go forward on this......................

We are upgrading from 4.7 to NW 7.0 (SP#5)

We had to manually apply the kernel (NW 7.2 -#63 - NON UC). This looks OK when we calll DW -version. The T03 system will not start either through the upgrade tool or manually. There is no useful log in

Thanks Rene, I have updated the ticket with the required information. In the mean time I am interested if anyone else had had a similar problem during an upgrade. We did have an initial error with the crtsidusr command ( setting CLASSICUSERCONCEPT + removing some of the SPCAUT) seemed to fix that. At this point the upgrade failed and we had to manually APYSAPKRN, the log shoewed it wanted the NON UC which was odd as we are including the UC in the upgrade.

This message is displayed if your iOS device has been trying to complete a restore for more than three days. This can occur if your restore has been interrupted due to network connectivity issues or some other problem occurs.

How do I restore an iCloud backup if my device is already set up for use?
You'll need to erase all data and settings from your device, so first confirm that you have an iCloud backup to restore:
Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage, then tap the name of your device to view a list of iCloud backups.
Check the date of the backup you want to restore, because you'll be restoring only what iCloud backed up on that date.
After confirming that an iCloud backup is available, follow these steps:
Connect your device to a power source and make sure that it is connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi.
Follow the instructions for restoring your iOS device from an iCloud backup, which include making sure that your device is using the latest version of iOS.

PO creation-ME21n-Why SAP does not check company code and Plant relation

Hi All,
Does someone know, why SAP does not check Plant and company code relation at the time of PO creation or how can we put validation between plant and company code at the time of PO creation.
<b>Example:</b> Suppose i have a company 0001 which is assinged to Plant 0001. when i am creating a PO with another company code 0002(Entering at header level-Org, data) and using Plant 0001 at line item level. SAP does not do this validation.
How can we put this check in place?

There are three types of purchasing
- Company code specific :You need to assign company code to Pur organization
- Plant specific : You must assign plant to pur organization
- Cross company purchasing: No assignment between company code and pur organization.
In the case 3, the system will not check company code and plant relationship, but it will check plant and pur organization specific.
The following is the copy of sap help text:
You can assign a purchasing organization to one company code. This is company-specific purchasing.
You can assign a purchasing organization to no company code. This purchasing organization can then procure for all plants assigned to it, irrespective of the company code to which the plant belongs.
Since each plant must be assigned to a company code, the company code can be determined via the plant in each procurement transaction, even if the procuring purchasing organization is not assigned to a company code.
A purchasing organization must be assigned to one or more plants. This is plant-specific purchasing.
Now, check your company-code and purchase organization assignment.

Was the system copied from another system? Or is this a new installation?
If yes, did you run SE06 after the installation?
What is the results of trans.log (generated from R3trans -d)?
Also paste the contents of table TADIR in SE16.
