SAP NW BPC 7.5 Queries !!!

Hi Experts,
I am working on a SAP NW BPC 7.5 project . I have few Queries related to it :--
1. Suppose every day delta records are coming in BI Infocubes and now we want to load delta records monthly into BPC infocubes. How do we achieve that in BPC ?
2. Actual Vs Plan reporting has to be done in BPC infocubes or a multiprovider needs to be created?
3. Is navigational attributes supported in NW BPC ?
4. Is it recommended to schedule a process chain daily in NW BPC?

Best practice is to migrate the Actuals into BPC so you can use the BPC reporting tools. You can alternatively migrate BPC data into BW, however there are a few areas that need to be addressed for this to be successful: 1) need to deal with sign reversal for account types INC and LEQ, 2) need to insure data is secure outside of the BPC name space, and 3) need to provide a solution for any dimension formulas being used.
3. Is navigational attributes supported in NW BPC ?
All BPC properties are generated as NAV attributes in the BW backend.
4. Is it recommended to schedule a process chain daily in NW BPC?
The answer totally depends on your process and business requirements.

Dear Portal Gurus,
we want to integrate SAP BW Bex Queries 7.3 into an Enterprise Portal 7.3 EP ABAP Stack only installation.
1) We have Done SSO between EP And BI System
2) System Object is Created
3) When we trying to create Iview of BEX 7.3 report, its executing that report on BI server, we don't have java stack on BI System
4) We have updated the required table in Bi system for executing the report on EP
5) RFC is OK, System Object Test is OK, Report is working independently from Business Explorer, but not working from EP
There no irj services available on BI system, as it is only ABAP stack.
Can anybody help us in achieving our requirement

To integrate portal with BI you need to perform BI Portal integration steps.

Data from SAP into BPC

What is the best way to get data from SAP into BPC?What about getting data from BPC (like a template) into back into SAP?

Please find here the steps you should do
Step#1: In SAP With the help of ABAP program update data into a table.
Step#2: In regular interval pull data from SAP table to BPC staging tables in SQL server.
Step#3: Run import data manager package to update FACT tables from BPC staging tables on demand.
This is the best way and best approach to pull data from SAP to BPC.

Your question is a little too vague to answer. Are you thinking about using BPC for planning, consolidations, or both? Are you anticipating multi-currencies? If you intend to use BPC for planning - what type planning is in scope -- sales volumes and revenues, product costs?, department costs, balance sheet? At what level of detail below company code would you anticipate for each? To what extent do you need to have the system automate the calculation of amounts such as rate x price calcualtions or to perform cost allocations. How many users are expected to use the system and to what extent are your requirements for security? Etc., etc., etc.
So if you can provide a more complete view toward these questions, the community would be in a better position to try to adress your question.

Error occured in SAP NW(BPC)

In this I added more than 20 properties in the NW Entity dimension and it is not acceptind 21st property.
the length o fthe property is 3 and the peoperty is having max 10 characterstics only..

1. My firm wants to use digital signature in the Form 16. How to configure the signature part of the Form16 in SAP?

3. Do I need to get a new license for using the digital signature feature in form 16?
4. My company is getting the digital signature part done thru a 3rd party. How to upload this digital signature into PC00_M40_F16?

The workaround software we have used is provided by Ace Technology, they are one of the approved DSC vendors.

If you are going for the same vendor, go for a Grade 3 signature, it allows you to do a Mass Digital Signature.
The tech support provided by them was not that great, we eventually figured out how to use thier product, but incase you take the same service I can help you in figuring out how to use the USB token.

Hi Krishna,
If user authentication method is AD, all AD users can be added into BPC for the required access, The task 'Define Security' covers who can add users, create or modify task and member profiles.
The guide is a good place to start understanding it.
If you already have a list of users and would want to mass manage the users into your new system, you could also use the program: ZUJE_MASS_USER_MGMT (to import users, teams, profiles into the target system).
Note: Users and Teams are not included in the transport. So you need to manage them outside either by using the program that I mentioned above or add them individually using admin client.

Hi Leo,
Unfortunately, the standard process chain documentation is missing for BPC NW 10. Advanced DM script instructions can be found in EPMofc_10_user_en.pdf but not chain parameters. You can use in most cases BPC NW 7.5 documentation or you can directly view the process chain and variant parameters in the transaction RSPC.

Thanks all for the reply. I can able to get the query name using two table rsbbsquery and rszeltdir table...but i just able to get the query tech name which i dont know whether it is a summary query name or the detail query name... so how can identify ???
I have one more follow up question with reference to the SAP table...
Lets say we are creating a jump query from summary query " Query 1 " did the jumpto config on the plant characterstic and jumping to detail query " query 2".
I would like to see the query 1 to quer 2 relationship in the table.
Do we any table which stores this information, after creating the config in RSBBS.

Feasibility of SAP BO Publication For BEx Queries

Hi,
We have a handsome amount of workbooks that are broad casted everyday to users/portal using the precal server. Howver, we notice that the perfomance of precal servers in not fail safe and requires a lot of manual intervention in the production box from the basis team and well as bw support team to manually process and distribute the files.
In this respect, we were thinking of using SAP BO's publication to distribute the workbooks. We would give them the bex query which they would use to develop their universe and the report thereafter for distribution.
Please let me know if anyone has used BO Publication in this scenarios or whether this would be a recommended or scalable approach in future.

I have similar expeience with Cognos on top of SAP BW. I guess it's working the same way.
I'm talking about using BW as the datawarehouse and BO as a viewer on top - You are not moving data to another DB.
You'll be using the OLAP BAPI and the OLE DB for OLAP interfaces. Those interfaces write MDX queries the use the OLAP engin of BW. Usage of aggregates, OLAP cache, Security features and etc is transparent to the user.
I don't know about BO specific connectors or drivers. About performance, writing efficient MDX queries will make the performance OK. I don't know how BO deals with that.

Hi all,
I have a question about SAP u2013 BPC.
How are the balance carryforward executed and is the document inversion automatic as in SEM-BCS?
The question is, when I enter in SAP u2013 BPC at 001.2009 will I have the balance carryforward from 2008 automatically? Or do I have to do something extra?
And is the document inversion automatic?

Hi Tom,
You can proceed in a step by step fashion when trying to match the BW query data with that in R/3 reports.
. Try to check the filters and calculations applied in the BW query. You can create a very basic query if required.
. If this does not work then try using transaction LISTCUBE so that you can directly see the data in the InfoCube as per your chosen selections.
. If this doesn't yield anything, then look at the way data is being processed: Any code in the Start routines, Update or Transfer rules. Check them for correctness.
. If you loaded through the PSA, you can also check data in the PSA. Or you can also check the data extracted using RSA3 in the R/3 system.
. Try to provide us some more specifics about the data that you are trying to match. Which module is it? Which is the datasource?
