SAP Office inbox message expiration setting

Hi all,
Posted this in SAP Netweaver and didn't get any bites but I saw some SAP Office related posts here so thought I might have better luck getting a response in here.
This is probably something simple but I can't seem to find it anywhere. We have a batch job that has output that is spooled to a distribution list. That output/email expires in 8 days. The users need to have it out there for 45-60 days and I can't figure out how we change this setting.
The setting in SO16 impacts new emails that I create and sets their expiration but it does not seem to impact the output from these jobs sent through that distribution list.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kevin
SAP Basis

Ravi,
Thanks.    I was looking more for some configuration.  Right now if I adjust the parms in transaction SO16, any new email I send out expires with the new expiration date.  However, the batch jobs that have attached distribution lists for their output still send send out email with the 8 day expiration.
Thanks,
Kevin

    Hi mates,
What config is needed for getting the alerts in user's SAP Office inbox? I'm trying it on SP16 w/o CCMS configured. Is CCMS a must for this?
    Any blogs or how-to docs?

    HI,
I meant, you can get the mail in mail inbox.not in Alert inbox.
For this you can configure Specific Receipient option in ALRTCATDEF. And for that user maintain emailid in the SU01. If you want to send the mail to external systems then configure SAPConnect. for more-

  • Message expiration setting

Hi, I set value to "2" for "Time To Live Override" for a queue destination
so that the message will only live for 2 ms in the queue.
The new incomming message always shows in that queue when I refresh the
destination monitor screen. Do you know why ?
              Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Expired messages are passively deleted. This means that a message is not
              checked
for expiration until an active consumer attempts to access the message. Active
message expiration is slated for the next release.
If your messages are so short-lived, and if you application can tolerate the
occassional dropped message, consider using multicast mode pub-sub.

  • Does Alertframework (ALM) support the SAP Office (Inbox)?

    Hi,
The alerts are polled from the UWL of the Enterprise Portal, application-specific display programs, or the alert inbox. These display programs can be personalized due to the useru2019s needs. In addition, the users can receive alerts as e-mail, SMS, and fax, if these external methods of communication are configured in SAPconnect. End users can personalize their alert notifications, for example, create notification variants or determine a substitute.
    Integration
Besides Email, can ALM send the notification to receivers' Inbox?
    How?
    Thanks,
    Miao

    another question:
Does the ALM support the function to set email "sender" dynamically?
From the API, it is no. I'd like to know if there is any possibility with other methods?
    Thanks,
    Miao

  • Credit block SAP inbox message

    Hello All,
    This is my actual requirement:
When the sales order goes into a credit block, KRML output triggers SAP inbox message to the credit manager/credit representative as per the output records maintained.
In standard SAP, the inbox message is read as
"Order for customer XXXX blocked due to credit limit being
    exceeded."
where XXXX denotes the customer number.
My requirement is to bring out sales order number, Sales order value, Ship to party name, Reason for Credit block (Like Oldest open item, dynamic check etc) etc in this SAP inbox message.
I checked KRML output mails and titles and i added the above fields as eg. &VBAK-VBELN&, &VBAK-NETWR& etc but this is not getting reflected in the SAP inbox message.
I am unable to figure out from where the standard mail message "Order for customer XXXX blocked due to credit limit being exceeded." is coming from. If the source of this message can be found, other fields can be added to it as per my requirement.
Please let me know if anyone has any idea how to achieve this.

did u checked tcode NACE--->processing routines -->program + form names.

  • 'SAP OFFICE EXPRESS INFO' message not  poped up  to the  partner.

    Hi Friends,
I have a quarry on sending express mail  while  sending email through notification process. Following are the details:
Created notification for  customer complaint (Z1,its made for my client) entered all details and saved the notification. Now i want to send this information to PP and SD person through express mail.
Now i go in change mode and go to same notification  then when i click 'Send E-mail' from action box menu  and selecting the partner, screen for sending mail through note  appears (was not getting same initially but later got the config correctly). Here the message is written and then i am assigning  the recipients for ex say SD, PP, QM (myself) and  ticking the box meant for sending express mail.
When the mail is send it goes successfully, when i  save that transaction  for me (QM) the express mail is popped up that is fine  but my problem  is  my PP & SD guys do not receive  the express mail . When they go to their Inbox  they can view the  mail  but only problem  i want to address is " they should get SAP office express Info" on their screen so that they are alerted.
I checked by changing the screen  or even by re- login  for those users but express mail not popped. Please  guide.
    Best Regards,
    Shekhar

    Hi
Though I do not have hands on experience in SAP Office expres Info, still may be these SAP notes can help you :

  • SAP Inbox messages automatically forwarded to SOST

    Hi,
    We are in SMR7.0 Sp7.
We have scheduled the deadline monitoring job SWWDHEX and system is generating the message for latest end reached in the useru2019s SAP Inbox as a notification. We understand that the message from SAP Inbox can be forwarded to users email using the automatic forwarding settings through SO12.
However we notice that an email is sent to the user through SOST/SCOT even though we have not maintained the SO12 settings.
Is it standard SAP behavior that a SAP Inbox message is automatically sent to SOST? Or is there any other setting (other than SO12) , that enables the forwarding of SAP Inbox message to SOST? We would like to stop this automatic forwarding of SAP inbox message to SOST.
    Thanks
    Sukumar

No. Forwarding is standard behavior. It is general behavior, This, you can see in normal R/3 also..
If your problem is NOT resolved as i said, shout BASIS consultants. They will make it worked.
Alert mechanism is different , in SRM 7.0, alert mechanism is given .
    Donot get confusion.

  • SAP office messages can't be opened in UWL

    Hi,
I have installed and tested SONIC (SAP Office Notification Connector). I have a SAP_ALL profile. When I receive a SAP office message, I can either open it in the SBWP or in the UWL notification tab (all my messages show up and I can display its content).
I have created other users with no SAP_ALL profile. These users have the right to access to the SBWP and see their messages. When they log on the portal, they are able to see the list of messages, but when they click on display to see their content, the message is empty. I think I am facing an authorization issue, but I have no idea what are the necessary authorization objects I should add to my users' profile.
Any help would more than much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

Did you look what SU53 say? Did you do an authorisation trance with ST01? That will tell you the details if you are facing an authorisation issue.

  • Inbox messages won't always display

I am having trouble with my inbox that hopefully someone can help with.
    Backround Info:
    System 10.3.9 on a G4 mac mini
    Mail 1.3.11
I have several accounts set up, personal ones on one server and a work account on a different server.
I recently imported my work account with all folders from Quickmail using emailchemy. I have been using Mail for the other accounts for several months.
    My problem:
When I open mail, I can see my office account inbox messages. If I switch to any other folder, either a different inbox or a stored mail folder, to view a message and then go back to the office inbox I get the following for my already downloaded mail instead of the mail message.
The message from "*" <*@server.com> concerning “subject” has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it.
The account is online continuously. If I quit mail and reopen it, I can again read the inbox messages. This problem is only occuring in the office account with the inbox and not in the personal accounts or any stored mail folders.
All thoughts and ideas are welcome.
    Thanks.
    Intel 2.33Mhz 20" iMac   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

This error message indicates an "overstuffed" mailbox issue which means the mailbox has approached or exceeded the recommended size limit or the mailbox has some corruption.
All email clients have limits and the recommended mailbox size limit for Jaguar and Panther Mail is 1 GB and for Tiger Mail, 2 GB.
An "overstuffed" mailbox issue can occur at any mailbox size but is more likely to occur depending on the number and size of message attachments contained in a mailbox and especially as a mailbox approaches or exceeds 1 GB in size.
This problem is more common with Jaguar and Panther Mail and has all but been eliminated with Tiger Mail which uses a significantly difference mbox format than previous Mail.app versions.
    On to resolving your problem.
With the Mail.app quit and using the Finder go to Home > Library > Mail > this POP account named folder (named by the user name and incoming mail server for the account) > INBOX.mbox.
Move the INBOX.mbox to the Desktop.
Launch Mail and a new INBOX.mbox will be created automatically by Mail within the account named folder. This will allow the Mail.app to function properly again while working on the old INBOX.mbox moved to the Desktop to recover the existing messages.
Control-click on the old INBOX.mbox moved to the Desktop and at the menu window that appears, select Show Package Contents.
Post back here listing the package content file names and size of each. I need this information to determine the next steps to take to recover the messages.

  • FK02 problem : sap office popup.

    Hi,
1)In the transaction fk02(Change vendor), i fill in vendor: Payment transactions. For a particular vendor i fill in the iban number (LU28001940064475000  for example ) + the start date of validity which is today.
2)I save and  an information popup appears stating Iban saved with start of validity date at 31.12.9999.
3)When i launch another transaction(say se38) a sap office message appears stating that the modification has been interrupted.
4)I launch the transaction SO01 (sap office) and i find the following messages:
    Interruption
Info Error : FC 080 SYS Interruption in routine APAR_IBAN_SET_VALIDITY_MAXDATE.

It seems IBAN data has been defined sensitive in your system.
    Check table T055F table.
Pass Account Type (KOART) as 'K' and Field Name (FELDN) LIKE 'TIBAN%'.
If you find any such entries you might see the validity date being set to 31.12.9999.
HOpe this helps. Reward points if helpful.

  • SAP Office Document - open in customcontainer

    HI,
i try to open to SAP Office Document in "inplace" mode in my own dympro.
Therefore I have an reference of a CL_DOCUMENT_BCS class. There is an interface with a if_document_display_bcs ~ display_outplace method and a if_document_display_bcs ~ display_inplace method. The first one works very well. But the second one does not seem to do that.
I want to view this document in a custom container of my screen l Is this possible?
    kind regards
    Micha

response.setHeader ("Content-Disposition","inline;filename=" + vo.getFileName()); This is the line that causes it to open in a browser.
The problem here is that you are using a link to a document...or it appears that way. I dont have any experience with a link to a direct document.
What I've always done is in the Java class I read the document into an object, then write that object to the ServletOutputStream.
    So something like this:
    1) Set Headers
    2) Get word document into some sort of Java object
    3) Write that object to the ServletOutputStream
My documents are mostly built on the fly, so hence I need an object anyhow. If you store your files in the database, you will need one too.
I personally would attack it the same way if my files were on the OS as I'd never want a direct link to a physical file. Rather I'd want a link to a page which opens a file.

  • #550 4.4.7 QUEUE.Expired; message expired ## With LastError "A storage transient failure has occurred during content conversion." In submission Queue. (Exchange 2013)

    Greetings,
We seem to be having a problem with some users who are attempting to send e-mails from within the organisation to an external domain. Not all users are affected, and not all outgoing e-mails have this issue.
Some e-mails get stuck in the submission queue. This is the error message in Last Error : "A storage transient failure has occurred during content conversion."
Days later, the internal user who send the message gets a #550 4.4.7 QUEUE.Expired; message expired ## NDR.
We did have some initial configuration issues, but these were fixed more than a week ago :
    - The external FQDN during EHLO was set to the wrong address, now pointing to the correct one.
    - SPF record was updated with new IP adress.
Here is some additional information on the issue :
    - Not on any blacklists - checked using dnsbl.info
    - Telnet to remote servers works from exchange server, connections are accepted and can send mail.
    - Outbound SMTP test ran using Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyser : Passed with both External (Static) and Smarthost IP.
    - This seems to happen only with emails that have an attachment and that are transfered, but only for the affected users.
    - If content from these e-mails is manually copied over to a new email, email is sent to destination without problem.
    Configuration information :
    - Exchange 2013 running on Windows 2012 Datacenter with all latest updates.
    - Outgoing e-mail is sent via smarthost. Only one outbound transport rule is active.
    - Using internal DNS server.
    - There is only one mailbox database.
Thank you for taking the time to read this!

Within your organization I'm prety sure that messages will use TNEF.
What does the message contain at the external recipient's side?
    >It really seems to me that Exchange is not converting RTF to Plain Text. The first link you provided states in it's final paragraph that Exchange should be doing this conversion.
If you can, try creating a mail-enabed Contact for one of the external
recipients and set the message format on that.

Have you tried UNsetting TNEF on the remote domain?
    Set-RemoteDomain Default -TNEFEnabled $null
That should leave it up to the client to determine the format. It's
probably not what you're after, but see it makes a difference in the
    format.
