SAP PCM - No grid value shown for SummaryCostObjectValue

This relates to SAP Profitability and Cost Management (formerly ALG) application.
I have a grid display that shows values in the measure CostObjectValue; however, no values are shown for the related SummaryCostObjectValue.  I'm not sure why.

The problem is a result of the settings in the Model Calculation Options (available from the Model menu).  The option entitled "Calculation excluding summary cost object values" was flagged on.  Once this tick was removed, the model calculated successfully and the grid values were updated.

  • No asset values shown for new fiscal year

We have a problem with an Asset in our FA module. The Asset was created in May 08 and had costs posted to it within the same month. Depreciation was run for May & Jun 08 with no problems. Year end was Jun 08 and the asset was included in both the Asset Balances report and the Asset History Sheet.
However, the asset does not appear in either of the above reports for Period 1 of the new year. It can still be viewed in Asset Explorer (AW01N), but the cost does not appear to have been carried forward to the new financial year. There is no data in the u2018acquisition valueu2019 field for 2009 and no planned depreciation information.
We have checked the master data record and although the acquisition posting date was 24.05.2008, this date does not appear in the u2018First acquisition onu2019 field, so not sure if this is the issue?
    Any ideas anyone?

    Hello..
You first have to change the fiscal year of the asset to next year through T Code AJRW & than only u can see the balance in the next year.otherwise i dont think there is any problem.

  • Make dimension values shown reflect other dimension filter values

I have created a cube and uses access this cube in an Excel pivot table.  Is it possible to make values shown for one dimension display only the values valid, if I have selected another dimension's value that would limit the values that should
show under the first dimension?  I tried linking the dimensions together with a key and that did not appear to do the trick.  I also tried using dependsondimension in properties for the other dimension, but that did not work either.  Is
there something I am missing that makes the cube only display the values in a dimension that apply when another dimension's value is filtered?

@Naveen - I am linking to the proper measure and am seeing the correct measure values.
@KR Jurgen - I'm not finding a spot to set the scope to NULL.  I would, but some people need all the values.
Here's an example.  I have company 1 and 2.  Company 1 has item A and Company 2 has item B.  They both have sales of $1.  There is a company dimension and item dimension.  When I filter by company 1, I see sales of $1.
The problem is, when I select the list of items from the item dimension, I still see item B.  If I put the items in the row, I only see item A.  The ideal situation would be to have only item A show when I select the list of items from the item
dimension.  Is there some way to accomplish this?
Thank you both for your responses.

  • Grid value( Field J_3ASIZE ) in the report MB5T in SAP-AFS

    Hi
How can i bring the Grid value ( Field J_3ASIZE ) in the report MB5T for particular STO in SAP-AFS industry solution.
I tried in the layout but there are no such fields to bring in !!
    Help me out swiftly.
    cheers

Edited by: MARUTHI RAM on Apr 15, 2009 1:53 AM

    Dear Maruthi,
MB5T will not give grid details but ME2W will give grid details. Please enable AFS details for the scope of list in customizing  for ME2W scope of lost
    MM --> ME2W
You can create consolidated report using the 2 reports MB5T and Me2W. MB5T give PO with in transit stock and ME2W will give PO with grid details.
    I hope this clarifies.

  • SAP XI 3.0 Same source for different target in std Value mapping function

    Hi,
We have replicated 4 value mapping entries from R3 to XI having the same Context , Agency , Schema and value for source, but each of the 4 values has the same Context and Agency but different Schema and Value respectively.
    To illusstate :
    Source                             |Target
Context Agency Schema    Value -----Context Agency   Schema     Value
    CS1      AS1      SS1      1        CT1       AT1      ST1       A
    CS1      AS1      SS1      1        CT1       AT1      ST2       A
    CS1      AS1      SS1      1        CT1       AT1      ST3       B
This value mapping is not working and we always get the source value as the result.
We are wondering if the reason for this is that we use the same source for different targets. But we are not 100 % sure of it.
When I read the documentation on Value mapping or when we use the value mapping standard function in graphical mapping, we pass the context , agency and schema of the source and target respectively and the source value to get the target value, and this combination is always unique in our case as seen in the above example.
Has anyone faced this kind of an issue, if yes I would appreciate if anyone could help us resolve this problem.
    Thanks in advance.
    regards,
    Advait

    Hi Advait,
From the below what I understand is that you are not able to do value mapping for the follwoing
    1     A
    2     A
    3     B
As value mapping allow one to one mapping only. Please do it like as mentioned below
    1     1*A
    2     2*A
    3     3*B
Then in the graphical mapping of Integration Repository do the mapping for the same as shown below
    source field > VALUEMAPPING> UDF--> TARGET Field
In UDF suppress the value of  1* , 2* , 3* which can be done as follows
create one UDF with one input field
//write the code as below to suppress the field
    return input.substring(2);
Here the davantage of using 1* , 2* , 3* etc is that you have the option to use value mapping for 100 values which I think is not normally the case for any Interface.
If you have same source you can do the same thing for that.
Hope this helps you to resolve your query.
    Thanks & Regards
    Prabhat

  • Quality Operation confirmation only for specific grid Values

    Hello,
When I am doing in process inspection for a specific routing for say the 0040th operation, upon confirmation I would like to confirm only part quatities for a specific grid value alone. But there are certain issues as follows:
    1. When I am specifying the grid values, the same is not automatically copied to the yield quantitites field for confirmation. Moreover the system does not even propose what is the quantity to be confirmed. so the user has to remember and feed in the quantities.
    2. When I am trying to save the partial quantites as per the grid system is automatically raising a partial lot. Why is system doing so? I am not able to figure out why?
Any suggestions on this is greatly appreciated.
    Sincerely,
    Aji Kurian Mani

    Hi Aji Kurian Mani,
I am not so sure which transaction code you are using for confirmation. If at all you are willing to perform this through QA32 its feasible.
    1.     All you need to do is maintain inspection point at header level in routing
    2.     At operation level double click on control key. Scroll down up to quality management view.
    3.     There in confirmation menu choose valuation and confirmation.
    4.     You may try using different combinations there as a result of which when you valuate the results for inspection point, system throws a window to input yield and scrap.

  • AFS grid value/valuation type not picked in sales order cost estimate

    Hi Experts,
We have different valuation types in the material master. This is part of the AFS, where each grid value is a valuation type. While making a sales order cost estimate and in one sales order item, we have 3 grid values (valuation types), system is costing only for one grid value and that too for the entire quantity. This way the costing is wrong as different grid values have different BOMs and routings.
Is there any specific setting to have the grid value to be picked up in the sales order cost estimate? Or am i missing some setting? in general product costing settings or AFS product costing settings?
    Best Regards

  • AFS Grid value problem

    Hello,
After i create a sales order in va01, and want to change the quantity in va02 tcode. I select AFS ITEM and edit the quanity, after i save it and again enter using va02, in the grid value i.e., matrix entry all the items i entered is missing. And most of the times the quanitiy is doubling. i.e., if 500 units of shirts were entered in va01, here automatically it doubles. My client is facing this problem. Is there a SAP PATCH error??
      Thanks in Advance.

    Hello,
    What's your AFS release ?
That's pretty strange, I know almost all AFS releases and never faced such an issue. I would recommend first to check whether a malicious user exit could be the cause of the error. If that's not the case, note that there is no available AFS features that deletes entered schedule line/grid value. Only reason for rejection can be automatically populated in sales order due to wrong grid value, ATP check...etc...
The last option will be to raise a customer note.
    Best regards,
    Mehdi

  • Grid Values

Materials are currently counted in our warehouse using SKU numbers and Grid Values (colors) within SAP (non-warehouse managed).
If we were to implement the warehouse management module of SAP, how would I organize a material (with one material number) with several grid values in one storage bin?  So let's say I have a Bin with 10 of the same material but they're all different colors (grid values).  How would I go about storing and managing these within Warehouse Management?
I'm not looking for a very in-depth answer, but just a basic idea to know if it's possible and how it would work in general.
Edited by: Cameron on Aug 5, 2009 4:15 PM

We run the AFS (apparel and footware solution) version of SAP.  Say for example we sell 10 different types of hats.  Each hat counts as a material number in SAP.  For each different type of hat we sell, we carry them in 50 different colors.  Each color is a "grid value".
    Material Number = XXXXXXX
    Grid Value = XXX
So lets say I have a storage bin carrying 20 hats.  Each of the 20 hats is the same type of hat (one material number) but each of the 20 hats is a different color (20 grid values).  So I have 1 Bin filled with 20 SKUs, 1 material number and 20 grid values. Generally speaking, how would one go about organizing this within WM?

  • Import conversion data table from SAP R/3 into value mapping table in XI

    Hi:
Somebody knows how to import a table with conversion data that are in SAP R/3 and to take it to a value mapping table in XI?
The purpose is to use a mapping table that can change in the future. Must I use a ABAP programming that retrieve data and build the value mapping table?
If so, how I specify in the ABAP programming the group id, the scheme, the agency and the corresponding value?
        Please, help me.
        Regards!!!

    Hi David,
please refer to this section in the help: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/2a/9d2891cc976549a9ad9f81e9b8db25/content.htm
There is an interface for mass replication of mapping data. The steps you need to carry out to use this are:
    +Activities
To implement a value-mapping replication scenario, proceed as follows:
           1.      Register the Java (inbound) proxies.
To do so, call the following URLs in the following order in your Internet browser:
¡        http://:/ProxyServer/register?ns=http://sap.com/xi/XI/System&interface=ValueMappingReplication&bean=localejbs/sap.com/com.sap.xi.services/ValueMappingApplication&method=valueMappingReplication (for the asynchronous replication scenario)
¡ http://:/ProxyServer/register?ns=http://sap.com/xi/XI/System&interface=ValueMappingReplicationSynchronous&bean=localejbs/sap.com/com.sap.xi.services/ValueMappingApplicationSynchronous&method=valueMappingReplicationSynchronous (for the synchronous replication scenario)
You only need to perform this step once (for each installation).
           2.      Application programming
The ABAP program must perform the following tasks:
¡        Read the value mapping data from the external table
¡        Call the outbound proxy used to transfer the data to a message, which is then sent to the Integration Server
           3.      Configuration of the replication scenario in the Integration Directory
This involves creating all the configuration objects you need to execute the scenario successfully. One special aspect of the value-mapping replication scenario is that the receiver is predefined (it must be on the Integration Server). The sender, however, is not predefined in the replication scenario and can be defined to meet your individual requirements.
For example, you can use the shipped ABAP proxies.
In the case of the receiver communication channel, choose the adapter type XI. Ensure that you configure a channel for the Java proxy receiver in this case.
Enter the path prefix /MessagingSystem/receive/JPR/XI for this purpose.

    Christine

  • Field value(s) for object S_SERVICE were not entered

    Hi
    Whenever I try to generate a profile in PFCG I get an error, that is saying;
... field value(s) for object S_SERVICE were not entered
Number of values could be different but message text is always the same.
The problem is in CRM2007 IDES.
It is regardless if I try to generate for existing role (like SAP_CRM_UIU_MKT_PROFESSIONAL) or for own role
Does anybody know how to solve such issue ?
    regards

    Dear Rafal,
kindly check documentation of customizing node
      SAP Customizing Implementation Guide
        Customer Relationship Management
          UI Framework
           Business Roles
             Define Authorization Role
"Make sure that the authorization object S_SERVICE is set to inactive.
An active authorization object S_SERVICE could interrupt the profile

  • How to understand the strange parameter values shown by 'pstack core'

I encounterred a problem that led to a core dump. I use 'pstack core' to shown the calling stack.
However I could hardly understand some of the parameter values below:
    core 'core.150108' of 5016:     cmcfun
    ff1e1370 __1cLComEndPointFsendv6MpnFiovec_i_i_ (c, ffbfedf8, 2, 2, c, 0) + 4
Why did the 'this' pointer of the instance of class ComEndPoint become 0xc? I don't think it is a valid value of pointer. Does anybody have any idea about this problem?
    ff1e5b00 __1cYComTransaction_Icallback6FpnPpdo_transaction_pcii_v_ (6ab90, 0, 0, 0, ffbff1b8, 0) + dc
According to the source code, the 3rd parameter in the function below, which value is 0x66, was not changed in the scope of the function. However it became 0x0 when it was used as the 4th parameter to call the function above. What't the matter?
    ff1528e8 pdo_dispatch (6ab90, ad, 66, 0, 0, 0) + dc
I heard that Sun C++ uses 'register windows' to pass the parameters, i0~i5 are used for the first 6 ones. Somebody told me that what I saw in the pstack might not be creditable because the registers might be changed within the function. Is that so? Would anybody plz tell me more details?
    Thanks in advance.
Edited by: DirtyBear on Feb 15, 2008 1:17 AM

Register windows are a property of the SPARC computer architecture, not a property of a compiler. SPARC has multiple sets of registers. The function call instruction advances the "register window" to reveal the next set of registers, if there is one. If not, the registers are spilled to the stack to free up a window. The function return instruction moves the window back. (It's a purely hardware feature.) Eight of the registers in adjacent windows overlap, the origin of the "window" term. Registers %o0 thorugh %o7 in the caller become registers %i0 through %i7 in the called function.
On SPARC and x64, some function arguments are passed in registers, depending on how many arguments there are and their types. (The x86 architecture has no registers available for passing arguments.) On entry to a function, the parameters passed in registers might be saved on the stack, but do not necessarily need to be saved on SPARC. The Solaris ABI requires that space for the registers be allocated, but the space is not necessarily used.
In a core dump, the actual registers, particularly for functions other than the current one, are not available. The pstack operation doesn't know how many parameters a function has or what type they are. It shows the contents of the first 6 words on the stack that would hold arguments, if there were arguments, and if they were actually saved on the stack.
In optimized code on any platform, the stack area for a variable or argument is not kept up to date. Computations are kept in registers to the extent possible, and saved in memory only when necessary.
On SPARC in particular, the argument values shown in a stack trace need not be accurate.
