SAP PCP (Personnel Cost Planning)

We are planning to implement PCP on SAP ECC 6.0. I am trying to achieve the basic scenario but it is not workign fine.
In first step i need to collect data like basic pay of employee , valuate cost item by 50 percent , and then run the cost plan. for example i colllected theh data through infotype basic pay , and when i run the cost planning run , i get the same value , how to valuate the basic bay. If data collected is $100 , and when i valuate it should be 150$ but this is not happening. Please advise what to do.
I had maintained base and dependent cost items, HCP01 and HCP02.
Thankign you all in advance.

  • Doubts - PCP/PCPS - Personnel Cost Planning and Simulation

    Hi gurus,
How are you? I hope you are very well.
Currently I'm working in PCP and Simulation implementation project. Actually, in our case, the client is using the old component PCP and would like to implementing the new one.
Basically, we have the following scenario here: They have two tables for store some premisses (T511K and P) and, before the scheduled period for PCP execution, they run a simulated Payroll in order to generate calculated values for the future, it means, the values from payroll are calculated for the next year and the payroll rules uses these mentioned tables to change the values in specific months of the next year. Confused? I agree, but it can become worst...
After this execution, the calculated data are stored in logical DB PCL5 and can be used by PCP process. According the payroll responsable told me, each wage type will be associated automaticlly(How???) in a cost item and these meintioned cost items are used during the PCP running. In this current version of PCP, they do not use values associated to Organizational Elements, but they would like to use this from now on although they do not use infotypes 1005 or 1015.
So, I have a lot of doubts related to two specific points:
    - Wage Types x Cost Itens: Could I keep all the current cost itens without associate each of these to a simbolic account? Is this association mandatory or can I create cost itens just collecting data from PCL5, for example? Does exists any standard collector for PCL5? If I need to create new simbolic accounts specifics for PCP, how can I do this in order to the real payroll do not be affected by these changes?
    - Organizational Elements: Wich infotypes are mandatory? Are there any kind of collector that uses an occupied position as a template for a vacant position, I mean, can I use a hold position to find calculated values for a Person that is associated to this position and populate a similar vacant position? If is it posible, does exists something standard for providing this solution?
I would appreciate if you could help me. I have been reading many materials from SAP, but unfortunally these practical questions was not answered for me yet.

  • Personnel Cost Planning Authorization against planning context.

    Hi Experts,
I have a query regarding the authorization against a Planning Context in Personnel Cost Planning and Simulation.
How can we set a autoziation against the Planning Context in PCP. So that a given Planning specialist is prevented from viewing the planning details of other planning specialist.
I checked the standard object PLOG and PLOG_CON, both seemed to not to be of any help.
Have any one come across this scenario.
    Thanks,
    Arun.

    Hi Alex,
I am not very sure about Personnel Cost Planning,
But an approach I have used in the past when exploring a module about which there is limited documentation or SAP standard model roles is to
    1) Switch on Trace using ST01.
    2) Carry out a series of transcations using a user id which has a lot of authorizations or SAP_ALL.
    3) Anlayse the trace document and identify all the authorization object.
    4) BUild a new role with the auth objects and assign to test user id.
    5) test and confirm that the authorizations are not too many or too less.
A time consuming but thorough approach.
    hope this helps.

  • Missing iviews for Personnel Cost Planning and Simulation

Hi,  We are implementing "Personnel Cost Planning and Simulation" in R/3 version 5(mySAP ERP). At present we have the following Business packs in our Enterprise Portal Server. 60.1.5 and 60.1.1(mySAP ERP 2004). We uploaded both the BP's in our test environment to make sure we get all the iveiws that we need.
SAP presentation has all the iviews, But we are unable to locate/identify under MSS the iviews for "Web Based Detail Planning for Line Managers",  "Detail Planning:  Detail Costs per Cost Object" and so forth for Personnel Cost Planning and Simulation component.
We researched other BP's such as 50.4.5 and 50.3.9 but in vain.
We truly appreciate if some can guide us to get these iviews.

Finally I got the answer and thought I can share this with you all.....
For Personnel Cost Planning and Simulation, SAP has not delivered mss iViews, but SAP has realized the detail planning pages for the line manager and the personnel cost planner by using the Business Server Page (BSP) "hrhcp_planning".
You can find the description of it's usage in the online documentation under the following path:
Human Resources>Personnel Management>Personnel Cost Planning and Simulation-->Personnel Cost Planning and Simulation Flow -->Creating Personnel Cost Plans
--> Providing Detail Planning for Line Managers
--> Detail Planning by Line Managers
--> Detail Planning by the Personnel Cost Planner
If you wish to use the detail planning page in an mss environment, you can integrate the BSP as an external service into the manager's portal. Otherwise, you can also use it, by providing the URL to the managers.

  • Personnel Cost Planning - uregent pls

    Hi,
The client here has Personnel Cost Planning. The current standard system does not provide the facility to calculate the cost items like Overtime, Gratuity and Leave airfare. at the moment they are manually uploading that to SAP for cost planning.
Be overtime / gratuity has a complicated calculation hence needs to attened with care. Can anyone tell me how to address this use. Heard you can use BADI in PCL5. if so how to go about that. If not do anyone has anyother solutions. i need this info on an urgent basis. ur help will me much appreciated and rewarded.
    thanks in advance.

    HI Mallik,
Im not sure on the scenario. But we can use tcode TCODE KS01 to create a new cost center with validity periods. Also along with reference cost center and controlling area.

  • Personnel Cost Planning in 6.0

    Hi Gurus
I have heard that personnel cost planning have changed a lot in version 6.0, where a lot of it is run by portal.
As far as I can see you are still able to run personnel cost planning as you did in R/3, but with 6.0 you just have the possibility to integrate it with BI and thereby the possibility to make detailed planning.
Is it possible to run cost planning with out the portal in 6.0 ?
    and if yes,
Can i expect less funtionality than with R/3?
    Sincerely
    Jacob

  • Problems with Personnel Cost Planning

    Hi all,
i have problems with the Personnel Cost Planning specifically with the Quota planning (infotype 1019).
i save data in the infotype 1019, Quota planning, for a organizational unit and in the infotype 1005, Planned Compensation, i save data for a job (i also tried with positions), but i can't value the cost for the organizational unit.
maybe I'm missing some setting or I'm doing something wrong.
    Thanks

    Joanne,
Are you still having issues with BI-IP?  I have been troubleshooting with the basis folks in getting BI-IP up on a new system over the last few day to a week and have now gone through the process myself whereas before I had been given a system already set up.  I have enclosed some troubleshooting feedback with my counterpart in getting the system up.
What type of issue are you having?
Can the basis folks start the planning modeler or planning wizard in RSPLAN even if you can't?
    1. The note mentioned above 919850 and the help documentation in SPRO under
    SAP NETWEAVER->Business Intelligence->BI Integrated Planning
are very helpful.  They have to set the following Jco Destinations in Web Dynpro Content Administrator:
    BI_MODELDATA
    BI_METADATA
    WD_ALV_MODELDATA_DEST
    WD_ALV_METADATA_DEST
And the problem was the connection to the message server. It was not possible to connect without having a Logon group assigned. This had to be done in WI4 ABAP as well as in the SLD for this system. After that assignment connection was no problem.
    2. make sure you have the portal ips in your host file.
    3. have they have created an account for you in client 001 of the NW04S?
    4. Have they created a portal id for you and  assign the portal role com.sap.ip.bi.business_planning_showcase to you?
    5. have they configured the setting for starting the planning modeler (also under SPRO)..
Hope this helps.  If you have more specific questions, feel free to e-mail me directly.

  • Help on few questions on Personnel Cost Planning Detail (tx. PHCPDETL)

    Hi Experts
I have few questions on Personnel Cost Planning Detail (tx. PHCPDETL) :
    1. User authorizations can be restricted to Cost Item Level and/or Cost Center.?
    2. Is it advisable to use structural authorizations on Planners- Line Manager levels? Can budget personnel cost plan be posted incompleted?
    3. Can a cost item created for an Org Unit be populated through all Persons-Positions in your Plan?
    4. Can you have general guideliness check for each event that line managers apply to their personnel cost plan?5. Is there an automatic way to display (not using Insert Quota Feature not IT1019) the Vacants in your Organizational domain?
    6. Can I have by roles definition, Cost Items to be used by an specific planner through all plans?
I appreciate any guidance you can give me.

Pl check this <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/d6/031c3ac9fb1d75e10000000a114084/frameset.htm">SAP Help</a> for more info on SSO.
The check for SSO exists inside the std function module HR_HCP_DETAIL_START via the following Method Call
        CALL METHOD viewer->enable_sapsso EXPORTING enabled = 'X' EXCEPTIONS OTHERS = 99.
You may have to copy the TCode & the subesequent function calls to eliminate this check.. I would suggest getting your BASIS to set up the SSO as a better option.

  • Authorization Check in Personnel Cost Planning (PA-CP)

    Dear Experts,
We are facing an issue where there is no authorization checking when performing the Cost Planning functions. The requirement here is to put in an authorization check such that when:
    1) collecting cost plan data for employees (tcode: PHCPDCEM), it will check against HR Master Data (e.g. P_ORGIN, P_ORGINCON) or HR Clusters (P_PCLX) (e.g. check which Personnel Area the user has authorization for). Currently, the Data Record Log does not have this checking.
    2) Creating, generating, viewing and maintenance of cost plan (e.g. tcode: PHCPADMN), it should have the same checking as above
We are using SAP ECC 6.0.
Has anyone encounter the same issue and has a resolution for it (configuration or user exit?)? I see that there is a user exit HRHCP00_RESP_OBJECTS available, but it does not provide the authorization check even when it returns "NO_AUTHORITY".
    Thanks very much in advance.

  • Integration between Budgeting and Personnel cost planning

    Respect to all HCM consultants,
I am working on personnel cost planning and compensation management. I would like to use the value of personnel cost planning scanarios on approval as the value for budget. in other words i want to integrate PCP and budgeting. if some one could help me out, will be highly appreciated.
I don't have experience in integration at all.

this option of PCOST is already there in standard system.
so what do i have to do . should i leave it as well and make release one PCP scenario and from there budget will automatically be created or what?
one more thing is the point of contact between these two sub modules is Cost centre ???

  • Position Based Busgeting/Personnel Cost Planning

Hi,  I am new to this topic and so I have some questions which may be very basic.  I apologize in advance.
    1. When we extract HR information from R/3 is the position information rolled up or can we get individual records by position ID?
    2. Do we need to run payroll for Position Budgeting? What's the work around if we aren't implementing payroll? Do you do a masterdata load?
    3. Does the information from PBC and Personnel Cost Planning in R/3 feed into the same infocube when we do the extraction?
    Thank You!!!!!!!!!

    Hi Experts,
When jumping from SAP system to the Internet Browser from the application of the Personnel Cost Planning we cannot see the plan and the cost unit, although all the necessary customizing settings have been done successfully and the relevant cost plan has been released.
Any ideas why this is happening?
    Thanks in advance

You cannot change the data when the pan i in Released status you would have to unrelease it .
    hope this answers your query.
