Logon failed when trying to connect to a SAP BW related universe
Hi,
when I try to connect to my SAP BW related universe, I simply get the error message "Logon failed".
I have the SAP integration kit for BO. Furthermore I have set the connection appropriate to OSS note 1182409.
Nevertheless I get this error message.
The universe and the connection settings to SAP BW themselves are working correctly.
So e. g. I can set up a connection to my universe from the WebIntelligence tool.
Do you have any idea to solve this problem?
Best Regards,
Thomas
Edited by: Thomas Seifert on Nov 18, 2008 9:41 AMHi Ingo,
I do not get any error while using the Universe Designer, I get this error when trying to connect a SAP BW related universe in Crystal Reports. There is no problem at all with WebIntelligence by the way. It is possible to connect a SAP BW related universe in WebIntelligence.
I use BO XI 3.0 with Crystal Reports 2008 and the SAP Integrations Kit client components are installed on the client machine.
Nevertheless the BO Enterprise system is not configured with SAP Authentification, but with an own authentification.

We are pretty sure that our program has no bugs.
Can anybody let me know are there any SAP Notes related to this Transaction.
Thankyou in advance,
LakshmiHi,
Use follwonig transactions

You can always go to http://service.sap.com/
and search for notes.

How is SAP controlling related to MM
how is SAP controlling related to MM
Hi,
There is no link between MM and CO. There is only value flow from MM to CO through FI.This is done by cost element(which is G/L account in FI).
Note:
A.FI-MM Integration:
When you go for transactions like GR,GI,SES,MIRO,STO,Payment then your respective G/L account updated.For updatinging the G/L account, You have to go for Automatic Account determination and steps are as follow;
1.OMSK: Creation of valuation class and assigning account category refrence,
2.OMWM: Active valuation Grouping Code,
3.OMWN: Active movement type with G/L account,
4.OMWD:Active valuation Area,
5.OMWB: Active chart of account, transaction key, valuation grouping code, account grouping Code, valuation Class and G/L accounts.
[Data flow to costing in the concept of cost element]
B.SD-MM Integration:
Generally SD is integrating with MM in Stock Transport Order (STO) and Third Party Order.
Basically STO is divided in to three types,
A.STO with SD delivery
B.STO without Delivery
C.STO with SD delivery and billing.
C.FI-SD Integration:
In the T.Code:VKOA

Where do I get a list of SAP XI related transactions e.g. SXI_CACHE etc?
Hi,
the simple way is to give user roles:
SAP_XI* and SAP_SLD* to your user.
You can see all XI-related transactions in your user menu after that.

Dear gurus,
Where can i find sap basis related qries ?
Regards
R.RajendranHI
According to me SAP Basis related queries is really widespread here.
it is all depond upon your Basis Query.
for example :
1) if you have query regarding database then
Expert Forums » Database & OS Platforms
2)if you are working with solution manager and you are facing a issue related with Basis area then you can post here
3)If you have general administration query then you can post in
*Expert Forums » SAP NetWeaver » SAP NetWeaver Administrator *
sometimes you may need to approach Security forum for security related issues (again a part of basis)
So it is purely deponds upon your type of your query

Hi Technical guru's,
SAP system creating a outgoing file through F110- t-code, this outgoing file has extra characters (DOC.NO:)
We need to remove these extra characters. Once Payment run has been carried out through F110, in SM37 in job spool it is showing like screen attached with name “file from sm37”.
But when we look in to outgoing file directory extra characters as I mentioned above is appearing below is the related screen attached with name “out gooing file”.
Gurus can anyone please suggest me where I can check about this. I have checked the program available in the job as well in the F110 transaction. But could not find any hint.
Programs which I find in SM37.
SAPF110S
SAPFPAYM_SCHEDULE
RFFOSE_B
Programs which are available in F110.
RFFOAVIS
RFFOEDI1
RFFOSE_B
Does extra characters coming through functional configuration (DME configuration) or coming through SAP standard programs.
I am Technical person. I need to solve this issue guys please help me in this.
If above information is not sufficient let me know what are the other information should I provide.I didn't get any resolution so far also I can't convert into Adobe form because this is a production issue which should be fix by making the requied setting or changes in SAP script itself we can't go for new developmet for this isuue.

How sap bw related sap banking
Hello experts,
I have a small doubt, for Sap banking organisation implementating is sap banking module or simple sap FI module is being used? How much it is related to sap bw.
Thanks
VinodDear AM,
When i create a query on an info cube,,and when its executed..it instantaneously generates a sequence of SELECT statements which fetch data from the Data Targets..Also for each navigation step in ur query...it generates another set of SELECT statements which fetches the required information..
So the backend retrieval is Generation of SELECT Statements for fetching the infoemation..
The Basic purpose of Cube is
1. It doesnt over write records.
2. It store Aggregated Data or Consolidated Data.(Key Figures are set Summaton, Maximum, and Minimun..)
3. It is a Multi Dimensional Data Model.
Hope this helps u...
Assign points if needful..
Best Regards,
VVenkat.. -
Hello, I am in a process of learning Generic Extractors, now i get really confused on the relations between different table and fields while creating data source in ECC, I really appreciate if anyone have documents which explains in an easy way to understand the relations between all tables and files
Thanks
RamA SAP ERP system has some ten thousand tables, there may more or fewer of them depending on the support package level and on activate business functions. Therefore it's impossible to have an ER diagram about relations.
On top comes the fact, that in an ERP system the data is (historically) not really normalized so you may find the same data in different tables depending on how the system is configured/customized.
If you want to find out where certain data is stored/read, start an SQL trace in transaction ST05, then start the transaction displaying the data, go back to ST05 and evaluate the SQL statement generated.

Hi Romano,

I think you are in the wrong forum, check out the forum "Business Process Management" - you will find a lot of postings on workflow.
If you have any specific questions related to XI..shoot away and this forum will respond back..:)
>><i>I am not sure how the points sytem works... but wud assign for all the help provided...</i>
rewarding points is pretty simple...since you have posted this question, you will be able to see the option to reward points on the left hand side of the reply to the question. Depending upon how helpful the reply was for you, you can reward accordingly.

Hi All,
Please explain me what is BC SET in SAP Basis which is related to SAP Security.
Can anyone explain in detail...
Thanks Much.
Swapna.DHi
Prerequisites
You want to create a BC Set from a transport request. A transport request containing Customizing data must already exist.
This Customizing request is a change request with which you can copy and transport the changed system settings.
The BC Set is based on the data in the Customizing request. You can copy all the data records in the Customizing request into the BC Set, or select a subset.
You can subsequently edit BC Sets created from transport requests.
Procedure
Enter the Customizing request number and Continue.
You can search for requests with the F4 help. The request type is Workbench/Customizing requests. The request status is changeable or released.
You get an overview of the transport objects in the transport request. To put a transport object in the BC Set, flag the row Copy.
The Status column tells you the BC Set-compatibility of the transport object. It can have the following values:
· green traffic light: The transport object can be put in the BC Set.
· yellow traffic light: BC Set creation or activation problems are possible. Check whether all data records have been put in the BC Set, after you create it.
· red traffic light: Table entries exist, but they cannot be interpreted. They cannot be put in the BC Set.
· Cancel: The transport object cannot be interpreted or put in the BC Set. -
