SAP printer to print from EP

We want to print payslips in our EP using SAP printer.
Currently how we print is:
- Payslip in portal appears as a PDF form.
- PDF form, by default has a print button on the top.
- By clicking on the print button, the printer of the local machine is used for printing
From [this post|Re: Use SAP printer to print from EP?;, we understand that the business package has a button on top to "print" and this will use the SAP printer to print.
But we are unable to see such a "print" button in our portal. What do we need to do to get the "print" button?
We are using EP6.
Thanks

  • Print Jpeg files from SAP

    Hi,
    We have JPEG files (pictures) stored in Custom Z table (Cluster table). We would like to know how to print these files from SAP on to a certain printer.
    We know that it is not possible to convert JPEG to BMP within SAP and print using SAPScript OR SmartForms.
    We want to find out if there is any print command to print these files to SAP printer  ?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Niranjan

    Hi Gregory,
    I had checked this tcode earlier. However, I don't see any 'Print' jpeg or any other file functionality here. What SAP might be doing here is, allow upload of any document like excel, word or pic files (jpeg, gihf, bmp) and so on and just display.
    I am interested in printing functionality without usng SAP Script OR Smartforms, because, when we get into it, we have to talk only TIF or BMP as JPGs are not supported.

  • How to script to Print a document from SAP Business One SDK

    I have created a project using UDO, Form and User table using B1DE2005.
    I wonder how can i program to print a document from my screen. something like Sales Order, where user can click on Print Preview button and it will print the sales order confirmation preview..
    KC

    Where do you want to execute this print/print preview?  Inside Sales Order?
    If that is the case use the print event, now if you have your own form and is separate of any of the SAP B1 system forms, then you will have to use the menu event and evaluate when they have press the print button (which you also probably will have to make sure that is active).

    1535606 - Printer preference setting for the Crystal Layouts
    Symptom
    Print Crystal Report layout does not consider Business One (B1) printer preferences changed by user before printing.
    In order to enable B1 to make print preferences changes in application the Crystal Report Layout must have ticked off the "Dissociate Formatting page Size and Printer Paper Size" option in page setup.
    The following preferences are enabled for the Crystal Reports Layouts:
    1. Orientation: "Portrait" or "Landscape".
    Note! In case the report is too wide to fit on rotated page, error message is returned.
    2. Document Options: Duplex printing (Print on both sides).
    3. Paper Options: Paper size.
    Note! The options Custom Size will not be considered by B1.
    Note! In case it is not possible to print on some paper size error message is returned.
    4. Paper/Quality: Print Quality/Printer Resolution, Paper Source.
    5. Color Options.
    Note! Crystal does not resize the report to fit the selected paper or format.

  • Why a " # " is coming while printing chinese characters from SAP script?

    Hi All,
    Facing one issue.
    We have a SAP script for printing delivery note thru T-code VL03N. The script has chinese characters in it.
    When I print this form the chinese characters that are hardcoded in the script can be seen in the print out but the ones which are coming from the table cannot be seen instead they are repalced by " # ".
    Strangely, when a debug the script or see a print preview on the screen they can be seen as it is with no problem.
    Only when I print it, on the paper print they are seen as # but the characters that are hardcoded in the script can be seen clearly on paper.
    Secondly, in Transaction FB03 which is for display of list of documents it too has some chinese characters and when I print this directly from the t-code doing Shift-F1 ( no SAP script or form is involved in this case) then the same case is there the chinese characters get replaced by a " # ".
    Any inputs or views are welcome.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks.
    Cordially,
    Saurabh.

    Hi,
    You need to set your activate multibyte functions to support.
    Long on to SAP --->right side right corner (Customized local layout) --> click --->Select options --->select tab (l18N)
    -->Check Activate multibyefunctions to support.
    log off you SAP Gui then re-log in...you can able to view multi language characters.
    Thanks,

  • Print Message Report from Mobile

    Hello...
    We need modify standard mobile infrastructure java code...
    We need print some report from Mobile Front-end.
    Is possible to print all MESSAGE data that we can see from front-end of mobile infrastructure 2.5 ???
    thank you very much
    Stefano

    I haven't really done much enhancements on MAM 2.5, but Im sure sami will let you know where to add the code, or you can review the MAM enhancement guide on the CD.
    In regards to printing the PIOS API is pretty simple. If you are using a laptop to print to a normal printer then you can just use the Win32 Drivers..(installed via driver addon from web sap console.)If you are using the handheld you will need to find the appropriate drivers.
    Here is some code I used in one of my applications:
                   <i>Connector conn = Connector.getInstance();
                   DriverInfo[] driverInfo = conn.listDrivers(ConnectionType.PRINTER);
                   PrinterParameters params = new PrinterParameters(driverInfo[0]);
                   params.setPrinterMode(PrinterParameters.GRAPHIC_MODE);
                   GraphicPrinter gp = (GraphicPrinter) conn.open(params);
                   File myImage = new File("c:
    smalllogo.bmp");
                   if (myImage.exists()) {
                        float x = 0;
                        float y = 50;
                        try {
                             String[] sFonts =
                                  gp.getFontConfigurationManager().listFontNames();
                             PrinterFont pf = gp.getFont(sFonts[0]);
                             gp.drawText(
                                  pf,
                                  25,
                                  25,
                                  "TO For Delivery # = "
                                       + dbAccess.getItemFieldValue(arrayItems[0], "VBELN"),
                                  GraphicPrinter.NO_ROTATION);
                             for (i = 0; i < arrayItems.length; i++) {
                                  gp.drawText(
                                       pf,
                                       25,
                                       y,
                                       "Delivery Item # = "
                                            + dbAccess.getItemFieldValue(
                                                 arrayItems<i>,
                                                 "POSNR"),
                                       GraphicPrinter.NO_ROTATION);
                                  y = y + 10;
                                  gp.drawText(
                                       pf,
                                       25,
                                       y,
                                       "Material # = "
                                            + dbAccess.getItemFieldValue(
                                                 arrayItems<i>,
                                                 "MATNR"),
                                       GraphicPrinter.NO_ROTATION);
                                  y = y + 10;
                                  gp.drawText(
                                       pf,
                                       25,
                                       y,
                                       "Quantity to Pick = "
                                            + dbAccess.getItemFieldValue(
                                                 arrayItems<i>,
                                                 "LFIMG"),
                                       GraphicPrinter.NO_ROTATION);
                                  y = y + 25;
                   gp.doPrint(1);
                   gp.close();
              } catch (Throwable tFile) {
                   tFile.printStackTrace();
              }<i>
    This should give you an idea, you should also read through the MDK documentation for the printer API (PIOS). Its quite easy to pick up and as long as you have the driver and connector installed it prints right away.(You could also use the Peripheral emulator in
    NWDS to test the code first)
    Hope this helps,

  • Print the job from the spool in abtch mode

    I want to be able to print a job from the spool in batch mode. In other words a job currently exists that creates a report that currently goes to a printer.
    The user wants the report to print on two different printers. This extra printer cannot be placed in the job, since SAP only allows one printer per output. What I would like is to find a SAP program that would accept a spool name and a printer destination. It necessary we can write a program that might execute a SAP function to do the same.
    SP01, the spool transaction, does not easily adapt itself to batch execution. I donu2019t want to create a bdc session using it.

    Hi,

  • Print a PO from a HP laserJet printer.

    Hello All,
    Could you please help me in finding out the solution for below issue.
    " We have a requirement to print a PO from a HP laserJet printer. This has to come in Landscape. For that we have copied a device type HPLJ4 and a formato type as Z_LEGAL. We are un sure how to maintain the device type. Like the entried added for Printer Initialization, Reset after Exit, End of page, End of line etc. Who is supposed to maintain the same. Is it ABAP or who?. Is there any note to know how to maintain the format type and can we raise a ticket with SAP to provide the same.
    Thanks,

  • Printing PDF brochure from Preview and only graphics print, no text

    Spent 30 minutes on the phone with Lexmark. They said with Windows, you would select "Print as Image" under the advanced printing dialogue. I don't see anything like this in MacOS. If I save the PDF as a PNG, then open the PNG in Preview, it prints fine.

    I also had this "no text"-problem with a Lexmark C530dn when printing some PDFs from Preview on 10.5.2. The problematic PDFs all were datasheets and papers I downloaded from sources like SAP. I installed the newest version (2.0) of the C530 printer driver, but it did not help.
    Using "Generic Postscript Printer" works, but I loose duplex printing, for example. But printing the documents from Adobe Reader 8.1.2 works, too, and I can use the Lexmark driver and have duplex printing etc.

  • Problem with barcode print in Adobe From

    Hello All,
    We are using Adobe Forms to print our shipping labels and this as been working well for few years now. These labels include readable text and barcodes. The barcodes are 1-D but recently we now have a need to print 2-D barcodes.
    We are able to print PDF-417 as a 2-D barcode on the form, but when we try to print Datamatrix barcode, the barcode does not show and instead we just see the text which should have been encoded as 2-D barcode.
    We analyze the spool output file on the server to check the correct print controls are being sent to label printer. Our printer is a Zebra S4M using ZPLII. We send test form to our printer which will print two barcodes only (both 2-D), one is PDF-417 the other is Datamatrix. The spool output when viewed in Wordpad, is as below:
    ^XA
    PRALH0,3
    ^XZ
    CI13XA
    ^LL1219
    ^FO127,102
    ^BY3,,203
    ^B7N,,5,,,N
    FHFD1234567890
    ^FS
    ^FO127,356
    FHFD1234567890
    ^FS
    ^XZ
    The ^B7 print control is the  barcode PDF-417 control code. The Datamatrix control code ^BX is missing and should appear where there is an empty line. If we edit the spool output file and add the missing control code sequence, and then reprint the spool from SAP, then the Datamatrix 2-D barcode prints correctly.
    So for some reason, the .zpl spool output file is not being generated with the ^BX control code sequence for the datamatrix barcode. We cannot find any information on why this is so.
    We are running ECC6 SP11 (single stack) and ADS is running on a separate dual-stack BI system (NW2004s SP21).
    Our Zebra S4M printer firmware is V53.17.6Z, and printer driver is ZebraDesigner 2.6.42 (Build 2382). Our SAP device type which is assigned is AZPL203. Our ADS version is 7.00.21.0.
    We are seeing the same problem if we print test label from ECC or BI system. ECC kernel is 700 patch 266. BI kernel is 700 patch 254.
    We have found SAP Notes related to incorrect ZPL format in ^BX for NW7.1 and NW7.1 EhP1, but not for NW7.0.
    Has anyone else come across a problem like this before? Any advice would be much appreciated and duly rewarded.
    Thanks in advance
    George

    Issue is resolved.
    We updated our ADS to 7.11.5.0

  • Sap script text printing issue..

    Hi,
    I have a SAP script with a text symbol say &abc& defined in the SAP script main window.
    From the print program I want to pass some text to this text symbol.
    In the print program I have an internal table with lines of text, sometime it can have just one line of
    text CHAR512 length or it can have multiple lines of char512 length text.
    Now how do I pass these lines to the text symbol &abc& ?
    I tried to do the following, but it does not help...
    DATA l_data TYPE STRING.
    loop thru the internal table
    concatenate l_data with text got from internal table
    endloop
    CALL FUNCTION 'TEXT_SYMBOL_SETVALUE'
        EXPORTING
          name   = '&abc&'
          value  = l_data
        EXCEPTIONS
          OTHERS = 0.
    I debugged and saw that l_data has most of the text (not all) but the sap script's printed output
    has only few text.
    what should I do to get all the text displayed on the printed output ?
    thnks

    Hi Vivek,
        Including two work area next to each other should not be a problem because i am doing the same thing. Check whether the length of field of work area one is over lapping the field of other work area.
    Note: Reward points if helpful.

  • Printing long text from Routing instead of Production order for an order.

    Hi Gurus,
    When a production order prints it is printing  the long text from the routing master rather than the long text on the actual production order.
    This field is used to provide specific instructions in special circumstances in addition to the standard text.
    I need system to be changed so that printing takes long text from production order.
    Please help me.
    Naveen.A

    Hi,
    In the production order long text, the text we are maintaining is only for information. It can't be able to print. In Production order, copies all the masters and the texts which we are maintaining in the masters only will be able to print. Standard SAP will not print the production order long text.
