SAP Product  aprears twice in SPRO -Cross-application components

Hi
Can you anyone tell me why do we have two blocks with same name (SAP Product) at same place in SPRO.
Path SPRO - Cross-application components - SAP Product and same name is appearing below SAP Product. When I check other contents of it they are also same.
Why do we have this same setting twice in SRM SPRO ?

Nitin

Hi,
you can also access this IMG from the transaction SIMGH.
Check if the correct SAP Reference IMG is being displayed.
Else contact your system administrators.

  • SAP Production system - SDK Dev New licence key components

    I like to request a new license key for SAP B1 production system.  What should be the components along with SDK Development that i should select in the license key request information?
    Is it mandatory to have at least one professional user license in the Development system?
    Thanks
    SV Reddy

    Hi David,  thanks for the reply
    I heard that instead of using atleast one professional user license for development system we can also use a limited user license to access the internal objects in SAP Business One system.  But I am not sure whether this will work and also the concept of limited user license is specific to each individual modules within the Business one system.i.e. limtied CRM user license, limited Finance user license.  if we use these licenses obviously we have limited access to the objects in the Business One system.  am i right?  ,  please let me know that these limited user licenses will come along with the package of licensing or do we need to purchase them separately?
    thanks

  • SAP Productivity Pak for Us customer

    Hello Experts,
    We have a requirement from client to install the RWD productivity pak for training documents and I have heard this name first time and I already instaalled the Solman 7.1 and Dev box of CRM 7 EHP 1 and ECC EHP 5. I have below queries-
    1) Is basis responsible to install RWD Productivity pak.
    2) Do we need to install this software on each users machine or we need to install it on our ecc/solman/crm servers on each box (DEV,QAS, PRD).
    3) What are the installation steps and the prerequisites.
    4) Do we require extra hardware ? with some environment and if we require to integrate it with SAP with steps or guide.
    5) I checked it on service mkt place and version 4.3 and 4.4 is avl so which version should i prefer.

    sorry, too busy with messages these days.
    RWDuPerfServer43P_1-10009622.ZIP
    RWDuPerfServer43P_2-10009622.ZIP
    These are patch but not the installation file.
    For installation, goto:
    -> Service.sap.com/swdc
    -> Installations and Upgrades
    -> Browse our Download Catalog
    -> SAP Education Products
    -> SAP PRODUCTIVITY PAK BY Ancile
    -> SAP PRODUCTIVITY PAK 4.3 (or 4.4)
    -> Installation
    -> Downloads
    -> Product ID Application Instruction SAP Productivity Pak
    - Can we install database , application and search index on same machine ?
    Yes
    - OS is windows (2003, 2008, Win 7, Vista or XP ???), Is RWD only supported on 32 bit windows with IA processor or any processor ?
    64 bit can also be supported but Ancile programs are written for 32 bit. it can work with 64 but still on 32 bit mode.
    - Where can I find the installation document or all the prerequistes ?
    after extracting the packages downloaded from SMP, you will get the administration guide, which includes the installation guide.
    - Which database is preferable SQL, oracle or DB2 , currently we have SAP system on DB2
    emmm... SQL is simple to use. xxx doesn't like oracle. no idea for DB2....
    - Do we need to integrate the RWD with all SAP system landscapes ?
    If you want to use Help LaunchPad for All  the SAP systems, you will need to import the HLP addon to each of the system (ABAP side).
    - Also suggest the hardware requirement (RAMprocessorhard disk space) if 1 server installation is possible for all the req (Search Server + Database Server + Web Application Server + Administrator Workbench)
    Not much idea for sizing. depends on the workload...

  • Application  Components vs. Namespace

    Hi everyone.
    I've recently worked on translating our some components in our namespace, and I'm now looking into how the SAP standard way of translation is. So far google gave me this document: http://www3.telus.net/public/surasa72/System_Setup.pdf which could prove to be a great source.
    On page 4: http://screencast.com/t/uvOp63aeXQK the document describes a structure: Objects\Packages\Application Components.
    The document describes App. Comp. like this: http://screencast.com/t/KtGnPqacA
    What are the differences between Application Components and Namespaces?
    Best regards
    Lasse Finderup
    Edited by: Lasse Finderup on Mar 6, 2009 10:10 AM

    Hello Lasse
    Basically there are three namespaces available for customer:
    - Y objects
    - Z objects
    - /mynamespace/ objects
    You can register with SAP your own namespace which makes sense if you are working in a company where you do professional ABAP development for other customers.
    Application components describe the structural hierarchy of the entire SAP system, e.g.
    CA = Cross-Applications
    FI = Financial Accounting
    BC = Basis
    If you assign your own packages to a specific application component then these packages will show up wherever you have a report using the application components as selection criteria.
    If you have huge development projects such an assignment makes sense but I have never assigned any of my packages to a specific application component (except for eCATT scripts where this is mandatory).
    Regards
      Uwe

  • Material for CROSS APPLICATIONS and NETWEAVER

    Hi all
    can u give links to sites that have good material on CROSS APPLICATIONS and NETWEAVER.
    Regards,
    Navaneeth

    Hi,
    NetWeaver is an application builder from SAP for integrating business processes and databases from a number of sources while exploiting the leading Web services technologies. Part of the company's mySAP product group, NetWeaver is getting a lot of industry attention as the first fully interoperable Web-based cross-application platform that can be used to develop not only SAP applications but others as well. NetWeaver allows a developer to integrate information and processes from geographically dispersed locations using diverse technologies, including Microsoft's .NET, IBM's WebSphere and Sun's Java technologies.
    NetWeaver has been tagged as a product that could help spur industry adoption of Web services. Although Web services are often seen as the development model of the future, the implementation rate has not been high, often because of competition and incompatibility between enabling products
    We have a forum itself for Netweaver.

  • Transport Request and Cross-Application techniques

    Respected Members,
    I want to know what is the difference between the transporting request and Cross-Application Technique( eg  ALE)
    Generally suppose you have made some object in development server and then a transport request will be created and through transporting to the production server same data can be transported to production server.
    Same thing we do with ALE also that we can transport the data from one server to another server or from one client to another client.
    THen what will be the difference between the transport objects and Cross-Application techniques.
    Clear this picture by giving your valuable answers.
    Thanks a Lot.
    Manish

    Hi Manish,
    The applications transferred through Transport Requests and the data passed through ALE or EDI are completely different technologies.
    The Transport requests transfer the programs and the configurations that you do within the development Server or rather the SAP system to the Production Server and then you execute them to get the desired result.
    On the other hand,ALE(Application Linking and Enabling) or EDI(Electronic Data Transfer) transfers the data or rather business documents(for example vendor payments or making the payme nt through cheques) from one system to another system,i.e different Landscapes.
    If suppose you want to transfer the data from one SAP system to another SAP system which are in completely different landscapes,then you use ALE and in case you transfer it from one SAP system to another Non-SAP system or vice-versa,you use EDI.
    Moreover,you cannot view the coding or the configuration part in case of ALE or EDI whereas you can view the same in terms of Transport requests.
    The landscape means all the clients within one SAP system.
    I hope I have made it In case you have any further clarifications,do let me know.
    Regards,

  • IDOC and ALE Configuration with cross application with SD

    Hi Sap Gurus,
    Please send me some document on IDOC and ALE Configuration with cross application with SD.
    Please send me the material on my mail id [email protected]
    Regards
    shekhar

    Dear Shekhar,
    concerning EDI concept in SD: the EDI concept is intended to realize the sales and distribution process completely automatically with the help of electronical documents. These documents are sent from one customer to another, are processed mostly on the background and give a possibility to realize the sales process extremely efficiently.
    If MM-customer would like to purchase the goods then he creates the IDOC of type ORDERS and send it to SD-customer. On the SD-side the IDOC is processed via the function module IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS and creates the sales order. As confirmation the SD-side can send to MM-side the Order-Response IDOC (function IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDERS). The MM-customer can every thime send a change to the existiong order, then on SD side the ORDCHG IDOC will be processed. It can change the order like in VA02. The creation of the invoice can be made via IDOC of message type INVOIC (function IDOC_OUTPUT_INVOIC).
    So, the process can be realized completely automatically between SD and MM partners with the help of IDOCs: ORDERS, ORDCHG, ORDRSP, INVOIC.
    That's all concerning the SD-EDI.
    Additional processes in SD, where EDI are used:
    1) application of delivery schedules to the scheduling agreement: IDOC of type DELINS
    2) creation of a delivery order to the scheduling agreement: IDOC of type DELORD
    3) creation of external agent service delivery to scheduling agreement: IDOC of type EDLNOT
    4) creation of credit advice / credit memo in the frames of self-billing: IDOCs of type GSVERF, SBWAP and for external invoice creation SBINV.
    It is all processes which are realized in the SD module via EDI.
    I hope this info helps.
    Kind regards,
