SAP Product issue in 'Product System' tcode SMSY

In the process to create the new 'Product system' for SAP Product 'SAP ERP 6.0', system is not accepting any installation number (because of grey mode) but If i choose the SAP Product ' SAP Netweaver', i can assign Installation number for ECC server.
When i'm selecting Product 'SAP ERP 6.0' for new product system, i'm getting the Product version 'SAP ERP 6.0 01' .
as per our license policy, we have to use 'SAP ERP 6.0' as the SAP Product .
any idea about to fix it or if i'm missing something?
We are using SAP EHP1 for SAP Solution Manager 7.0 and SAP ECC 6.0 for ECC server landscape.
Thanks
Amar

using the following link (reply from Miguel section), i'm able to fix this problem
Product Version SAP ERP 6.0 Missing from solman 7.0

  • Solman 7.1 SP10 delete product system in SMSY

    Hi,
Somehow in my Solman 7.1 sp10 a product system is in SMSY and not in LMDB but in this SP I´m unable to delete it using SMSY and as the product system is not in LMDB, I don´t find how to do it.
Anyone knows how to delete it.
    Regards,

    Hi Vevek,
If it's not associated with LMDB and the data source is SLD or TMS/RFC and the date and time stamp is out-dated, then you can delete the product system in SMSY by switching to Edit mode. If the data source is LMDB, then it needs to be done via LMDB. I hope that helps to address the issue. If not please open a message with SV-SMG-SYS.

  • SAP Production Systems Database backup failed

    Dear Guru,
I have been facing a problem with our SAP Production system's oracle database backup for last three days. Our back up goes through TSM server. At night 10 pm we have schedule backup for whole offline + redo log backup,  11 pm check and update optimizer statistic and at 11:30 pm Check Database. For last three days above mentioned backup getting failed and we are not able to get such a details log by which i can understand the issue. But Our Development server and Quality server's backup which are scheduled at 12 am and 2 am, the both backup schedules finish successfully. And in morning all schedule backups of Production systems finish without any errors. The issues is coming only with Whole database backup + redo log Backup which schedule at night 10 pm. I have mentioned the log whatever i have got in below:
    07.02.2012     07:30:06     Job started
07.02.2012     07:30:06     Job has exceeded its latest start date
07.02.2012     07:30:06     Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE
Above mentioned logs are showing 1day advance log where i have mentioned yesterdays log. That means it should shows 06.02.2012 instead of 07.02.2012 and time should be 22:00:00 instead of 07:20:06.
Our Oracle version is 10.2.0.4.0/ kernel release 701/BRBACKUP 7.00 (40)
    Please Guide me.
    Regards,
    Samrat Chakraborty

    OK,
this has nothing to do with brbackup or TSM.
You batchjob starts at 07:30 !!!
Means before that, you do not have any action at all.
Then the job crosschecks it has passed its intended startdate and terminates,
which is correct, since you do not like brbackup to shut down your DB at 07:30!
No brbackup is started at all, which is why you get no log and no tsm connect takes place.
I assume,  you misconfigured some operationmodes and at 07:30 an OP-modeconfiguration
with batchjobs switches back in place so that the jobs do start too late.
Check RZ04 and the OP mode timetable
If it is not this, it has to be something else with the batch scheduler causing delay
or may be all BTC processes are busy, but this seems unlikely with a start at 07:30 sharp..

  • SAP Production system - SDK Dev New licence key components

I like to request a new license key for SAP B1 production system.  What should be the components along with SDK Development that i should select in the license key request information?
Is it mandatory to have at least one professional user license in the Development system?
    Thanks
    SV Reddy

Hi David,  thanks for the reply
I heard that instead of using atleast one professional user license for development system we can also use a limited user license to access the internal objects in SAP Business One system.  But I am not sure whether this will work and also the concept of limited user license is specific to each individual modules within the Business one system.i.e. limtied CRM user license, limited Finance user license.  if we use these licenses obviously we have limited access to the objects in the Business One system.  am i right?  ,  please let me know that these limited user licenses will come along with the package of licensing or do we need to purchase them separately?
    thanks

    Hi all,
We are facing an issue with the solution manager in tcode smsy. When i create a system in the corresponding component say ECC with product version ECC6.0.The next screen shows that the <SID> has been added successfully. But when i navigate to the path and i unable to see the system SID which i have created.
Again i have tried to create the same system with same SID, but it shows that " SID already exists "
Also i need another suggestion, we have planned to add 60 systems in the same solution manager. Kindly suggest me , how many systems we can add in single solution manager in maximum and for configuring EWA ?
    Thanks
    Raj

    Hi Raj,
You can delete the old system entry and then try creating the saem again..
Also while creating mention correct product and version and the installation number.
You can also use the assistant for this.
Have you added all your servers and DB?

  • Allowing Multiple Login of users in Production system

    Hello,
In my office there are total 4 employes which all use SAP but they all use one username and password so it isn't possible for them to work at same time. Only one employe can work, then after he completes his task he must log-off, and then other employe logs-in and so on... So Multiple Logon option is disabled. I would like to enable Multiple Logon option but as I read it somewhere Mult.logons in productions system of users musbe set to off?
I am not sure what do do because I need to have option for employes to lgoin at the same time with one username/password.
If this is not possible is there any other way to achieve this? Also is there any way that one employe can enter/view data and other three employes can login at same time only to view data?
Any help is appreciated and <removed_by_moderator> !

    @Jurjen Heeck
    Hello Jurjen,
I have no intention to voilate any of license agreement, I had to do it once in emergency.
    @David Berry
    Hi David,
There are four users in my office but I am not sure of exact total number of SAP users in my company.
    @R. Voerman
Thank you very much for this information. I will try this definetly. Could you tell when I enter this parameter, then
    multi_login_users option is ON, right?
    @Julius Bussche
You can also assign it selectively to more users than the length of the system parameter field allows...
    Hello Julious,
how do I this in transaction SU01, what do I need to change?
It's no problem form me to change this parameter but I am not sure if this is good because of security issues?

  • Workflow agent assignment in Production system

    Hello Sap Gurus,
Is there a way to maintain harcoded agents(not a general task..but putting in a user's name) on the tasks in the SAP production system without going to Change mode.
I know we can do it for the Workflow templates in Dispaly mode but for the tasks, it wouldn't let us do without being in Change mode.
    Any suggestions is appreciated
    Thanks

    Hi Rachana,
The agent assignment of a task is a PD infotype and therefore the question is do you have the authorisation do maintain in production?
From what you have described, the short answer appears to be no.  But a longer answer is that, with sufficient access, you can open a workitem in change mode and forward to a new agent after using the Replace Manually option.
Another option would be to go in throught the diagnosis tolls (SWUD) and use the option test environment.  You will see the steps of your workflow at the bottom of the page.  If there is a red football shaped object - this is agent assignment - you can click to maintain the assignments.
A better question is why maintain by user ID here as it is a pain to maintain.
    Regards
    Gareth

  • Product system not in LMDB only in SMSY

    Hi Solman experts,
I have a question regarding Solman products in LMDB and SMSY.
After updating Solman 7.1 from SP08 to SP10, in Managed Systems Configuration, Assign Product step I get the following errors:
(I am using ABC as SID)
ABC00001~JAVA: part of product system ABC, which is not in LMDB but only in SMSY
ABC~ABAP: part of product system ABC, which is not in LMDB but only in SMSY
In SMSY i see that under ABC there is both ABAP and JAVA whereas under ABC00001 there is only Java (in Products system).
The Diagnosis of Solman for this error is:
    Diagnosis
The technical system ABC00001~JAVA is assigned to product system ABC, which was created in transaction SMSY and has not yet been migrated into the Landscape Management Database (LMDB).
The technical system ABC~ABAP is assigned to product system ABC, which was created in transaction SMSY and has not yet been migrated into the Landscape Management Database (LMDB).
    System Response
    Procedure
If the product system information in transaction SMSY is still required for your system landscape maintenance, migrate it to LMDB. You can do this in the SAP Solution Manager: Configuration work center under System Preparation -> Prepare Landscape Description -> Migrate SMSY Data into LMDB -> Migrate Product Systems. (For more information, refer to the help text in the UI.)
If the product system information in transaction SMSY is no longer required for your system landscape maintenance, delete the product system information in SMSY.
Could anybody who had the same experience share their opinion on this case. This LMDB<>SMSY change is very confusing at this step. Would be more meaningful to execute the optional migrate from SMSY step or delete the product. the second seems a little bit meaningless in this case.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards

    Hi Shkëlzen,
then that could be the reason why you have some system(s) in SMSY and LMDB.
As far as I understood you need to migrate all your Landscape from SMSY to LMDB by using the step "2.4 migrate smsy to lmdb" as mentioned by Jansi Rani Murugesan at http://scn.sap.com/message/15079962#15079962
It might happen that this transformation creates double system entries in LMDB by adding the 0000x to the SID. But this is only an visual "defect".
Once you have done the conversion from SMSY to LMDB you should get this issue resolved.
The conversion report took me more than 48 hours to complete. This is totally normal. You can execute some database statistics updates and/or check/optimize the profile parameters and hope the conversion runs faster.
    Hope this helps,
    Niklas

i'm sorry i saw this post too late ... of course  SQVI is VERY security-critical. It requires S_TABU_DIS on every table used in sqvi. if you have more than one company code, more than one plant, more than one purchasing organisation you will no longer be able to prevent your user reading data from other organisational structures!!  you might as well give access to SE16(N) then.
follow this thread about queries (sqvi is a small-time query) in the SDN security-forum for more on the topic:
How to override security for table access when using SAP Query?

  • What product to use with EHP1 FOR SAP SRM 7.0 JAVA System

    Hello,
I install EHP1 FOR SAP SRM 7.0 JAVA system and now I what create this system in SAP Support Portal.
What product should I select: SAP SRM or SAP Netweaver?
If I select SAP SRM, in version I don't have option to select SRM 7.0 EHP1 and no Technical usage to select.
If I select SAP Netweaver, in version I have SAP Netweaver EHP2 and I can select Technical usage "Application server java" and "EP Core" but not SRM java.
In Solution Manager I have the same problem, what products shoul I select to create this system in SMSY?
This JAVA system is not in the same network so I don't know how to synchronize system data.
    Best regards,
    Filipe

    Hello,
SAP told us to register the license of SAP SRM in ERP installation number only and when I am creating the SRM system in ERP installation number stuck in the same situaltion as it's not giving an option for SRM EHP1 and not sure what to select for the license and what in SMSY.

  • Unable to delete Role from User ID in SAP SOLMAN production system but able to from DEV with the same authorization, pls suggest

unable to delete Role from User ID in SAP SOLMAN production system but able to from DEV with the same authorization, pls suggest

    Hi,
For SU01 role removal, you do not need S_USER_AGR with 02, and as you mentioned both authorizations available in production, if so trace should not show you the S_USER_AGR with 02 with RC=04.
I would recommend to do role comparison for the user performing the activity. and then check if you have the S_USER_AGR with 02 in user buffer SU56.
But ideally it should not ask you S_USER_AGR for 02 through SU01, so please take help of abaper to debug it.
Also put trace in non-prd to see if S_USER_AGR is getting checked with 02 for removal through SU01.

  • Same logical system name for two productive systems - BW, PI issues

    Dear all,
we have a productive system which serves two companies (different company codes). This system is connected both to BW and PI for both companies.
There is a requirement that these two companies must use their own system, so the whole landscape (dev,qa,prd) will be copied to different systems (different server with different system id).
As a result of the above procedure we wll have two different productive systems, as required, but we wll have the same logical system name for the two productive systems, which must be both connect to bw and PI.
However as far as I know:
    - we cannot connect systems with same logical system name to BW,PI
    - we cannot convert logical system name of the one of the two productive systems as they are productive and so this is not supported.
How can we overcome the problem?
    Please advice.

    Right.

Since you split up systems (or plan to) I highly recommend booking an SLO service (http://service.sap.com/slo). Those people have to the tools and the knowlege to help you. I would not do this on my own.
