Sap Query Web Reporting - Issues with accents

Hi,
We was using Web Reporting for Sap Querys, throw this tool we can generate automatically web reports.
When we go to generated web report, selection screen show us character &#56292; instead accent letters.
In addition to this, generated web report shows two buttons with german text: "report ausf?" and "Werte zur?zen".

SAP BO 4.1 Webi report sample with prompts to try Restful api

I was not able to find, in the report demo samples available in the SAP BO 4.1 installation, a Webi report with prompts.
I found many Webi reports samples but all are without prompts.
I need at least one Webi report sample with prompts to try the Restful API http://localhost:6405/biprws/raylight/v1/documents/7090/parameters and http://localhost:6405/biprws/raylight/v1/documents/7090/schedules with parameters body.
Where can I found such webi sample?

As you have BI 4.1 installed, you could design a sample webi report using Webi Rich Client tool.
Open Webi rich client, select the sample eFashion universe drag few objects in the query and a filter. Set the filter as a prompt and save the report to Enterprise.
Now you could now use this sample report for your handson on REST SDK.

Webi report: Issue Cannot retrieve dimensions from Cube

Hello Experts, We're facing an issue with a partical set of Webi reports in Quality environment. The reports are BW reports based on OLAP BICS connectivity on top of Bex queries.y Below is the scenario and the issue: 1. The backed Bex queries have been trasported to Quality BW system and they're running fine when run from RSRT or Bex analyzer. 2.The Webi reports along with the BICS connections have been migrated to the Quality box and the BICS connections have been editied so that they point to the Quality BOX bex queries and they're testing and responding to the connection successfully. 3. The Webi reports pointed to the Dev Box in the Dev BOBJ system are working fine, but when the same reports for which the connections were repointed in Quality as above, are giving the error "Cannot Retrieve Dimensions from Cube". Steps taken: a. Deleted the reports and the BICS connection from Quality environment and remigrated the reports,connecitons and changed the connecitons but still the issue persists. b.Tried finding the root cause and got the following issue in the Bex query in Quality: There are filters put in the Bex query . All other filters are working fine except 0CALMONTH. We tried putting all sorts of variables on 0CALMONTH, but the moment a variable is put on 0CALMONTH, this issue occurs. But when we tried removing the variable from 0CALMONTH in filters and restricted it to a single value, the Report works fine. However the same is not an issue in the Dev Box and all queries with similar variables are working fine. So we're thinking this might be an issue on the BW backend and the cube might have to be transported again to the Quality Box. ANy quick suggestions or inputs on this would be greatly appreciated. Converting SAP Query to Report Program

Hello Experts,
I'm stuck up with an issue.
I want to convert SAP query into a report program as the things which I need to implement is not possible with SAP Query anymore.
So I need to convert SAP query to Report program.
I'm very much aware about the SQ01--> Query --> More functions --> Display Report Program
But this Report Program generates is AQ..................... but if you see the code there will be buch of dynamic calls not as clear as ABAP code and not much flexibility to modify...
Please Provide a solution to this.

How to run webi report automatically with the current date/system date in webi report

Hi Friends,
I have a webi report which has a date prompt now. Based on the selection that user makes while running a report, he will get the related data for that particular date selection. Now I want to make that date prompt automated that is the report should run automatically based on the system date daily on scheduling.
I want it to run current day automatically without have to go in and pick the date in webi report. I will be scheduling the webi report. Can you please let me know how to achieve this functionality of running a webi report automatically with a system date.
Please let me know if I couldn't make you understand so that I will write with an example.

Hello Bhasakar,
1.Create sysdate object in the universe
2.Create another query in webi and select only sysdate object
3.In the original query drag the Day object in the filter pane and choose the "List of values" from another query.and select the sysdate object from the second query.
So your report always will run for sysdate...

Hi,
They are absolutely different environments. With EP, you can develop WebDynpro Applications, using ABAP or Java, integrate Internet Service, develop applications with Visual Composer, ... It's much more than a reporting environment. You can integrate BI reports on EP, using iviews portal components.

Webi reports compatibility with IE8

Hi All,
BO 5.1 reports are published as webi reports on web server.Users would view/edit the reports from the webpage. Currently IE6 is installed on web server and it will be upgarding to IE8 on it.
My question is - Is BO 5.1 version webi reports compatible with IE8 or not ?
If yes,then can you please tell me what browser based components that has to be tested for BO and the test plan(If any).

Benefits of SAP Business Warehouse Reporting compared with the Query-tools?

Hello experts,
I've been creating reports with SAP Query tools, but been faced with few problems. First of all, there are restricted possibilities in terms of joining tables, and thus I cannot include all the data required for the report.
One solution for this would have been to create separate queries and join the data together in Excel. The problem with this is that there exists no common field that would make sense as for a selection criterion. If the selection criterion is different in different queries, there is the danger of combining false data together, which would eventually result with distorted data.
So I was wondering, could anyone briefly tell me if SAP Business Warehouse reporting would solve these problems? And what other benefits would it provide compared with the SAP Query? I'd urgently need to know if it would be a beneficial investment for the company, since I haven't found solutions for the problems occurred in the creation of reports.

Puttingin BW is a strategic aim of the comapny and not to be thought about and discussed in a BI forum such as this
The costs of implementation and hardware will no doubt make your eyes water.
To be quite honest SAP BI is a "no brainer" as most of the new e-SOA and new R3 modules reply on BW for their reporting needs

SAP BI Mobile Publishing Webi report issue

Hi All,
We want to use the BI Mobile App on IPad for Webi reports. The app is successfully implemented on the IPad, connection to BO server is done, categories are visible. But no report.
In Webi I tried to publish my report to the respective 'mobile' category, but the the 'Publish to' is missing in the menu.
Save as is possible, but it has no effect.
I checked the CMC and I have full authorisation for publishing (and anything else).
What could be the reason that the 'Publish to' menu is not visible? Is this the reason why I do not see my Webi report in the Bi Mobile app?
I would appreciate any kind of help.

Mobile Category has been created.
Can you go to your report, right click, categories
add it to Mobile categories
check on your ipad

I don't think you can federate WebI server with SAP portal.
You can use WebI report IDs and integrate with Portal.

Query report issue with Joins

HI Everyone,
I'm facing a issue with SQ02, where I need to link 2 table COVP and AFRU . Now that I have 2 feilds in COVP REFBN and AWORG which is or Char(10) feilds and I need to link this with tabl;e AFRU feilds RUECK and RMZHL which is of Num(10) and Num(4).
I cant use a join link between these 2 feilds as it says illegal join. Now I need to pull data by the input from COVP that of refbn and aworg.
Please let me know how to go about and implement this? Is there a way where I can use the code section and write code for this. I need to further add another table CATSDB from the output from AFRU.

Hi Raj,
I had the same problem with other join, since the two fields are different it is not possible to use a join on them.
The only solution that occurred to me was to create an auxiliary table to map both fields with all possible values, like this:
| fild1 | field2 |
| 001 | 00001 |
| 002 | 00002 |
And a view with one of the tables together with this auxiliary one. Then the join would use this view...
I admit it isn't pretty, but it would work. However in the end I've decided to write a program instead of using a query to obtain our client's desired map.

SAP BW Web Report : Web Template

I have created a SAP Query view and a web template. Then i have created the web report using the below URL.

Later i added filter condition sin the web template and created the URL which filter values for that particular Cost Center.

I face issues with the below points.
1.     Now the Title of the web report has to be changed. Where can i change this ? ( HTML code / web template )
2.     The Title of the report is selected from a Region Value from the .css file. Is there any relation between this fiel and ABAP code at the backend.
3.     The Cost center has hierarchy values at the back end. Even if I do not enable the hierarchy for Cost center, I get values for that parent node. But the child nodes show extra projects if hierarchy is enabled. Should that be enabled ?
4.     In the view I am getting both the fileds Cost centerA and Costcenter B. But in the report for filter COSTCENTERA=7046, I get only COSTCENTERB and vise-versa. What could be the reason ? What should I do to get both the fileds in the Web report.

SAP Query selection screen issues after ECC upgrade

Hi all
We have a custom query created and assigned to a custom transaction code, which after upgrade to ECC 6.0 we find that the selection screen layout is different from what was available in 4.6C system.
All the fields required are available.
However, the sequence of the fields on the screen is different from the 4.6C after the upgrade.
Can anyone help identify the issue so that the issue can be resolved?

There is no resolution as such.
We had raised a Customer message with SAP and were informed that this was expected as the procedure to execute the reports was changed in ECC when compared to 4.6 (technical changes) and hence this issue shall remain for some queries wherein the old changes need to be brought back using an option in the SAP Query.
Please refer to SAP Note # 723577 which could provide a better explanation for the issue.
