SAP R/3 installation - FRF-00007 Unable to open RFC connection

Hi all
I install SAP R/3 Enterprise SR1 with SuSE Linux Enterprise server 9 and SAPDB 7.3.28. At the end of the installation exactly on the " Starting RFC Jobs (post processing" the following problem begins.

As per ur advice : I checked the path etc/services
Everything is fine there
Then
Solution:
I stopped the sap service and restart the service then I continued the installation without error
After installation I checked T-code: SICK there I got one error
Error Details:
SAP System Check
OS release AIX 3 5 00C5E98B4C00 is not supported with this kernel (640)
Severe problems were detected during initial system check.
Please, do not use that system before fixing these problems.
So please help me to solve the issue

I am trying to install SAP R/3 Enterprise 4.70 on Windows Server 2000, database Oralce 9.2 and I want to install entire SAP system in 1 Computer.
I have been installed Oracle 9.2 and SAP's center service successfully.
But when i install SAP's database service it throws error as below and

I had a similar error, with windows 2000 advanced server, oracle 9.2.0.6, SAP BW 3.1.
To resolve this error please upgrade your kernel.
download the kernel. say 640
uncar the files sapdbexe.sar and sapexe.sar using the sapcar.exe
on dos prompt go to the particular directory where u have downloaded the above sar files using "cd" command.
SAPCAR -xvf <your-SAR-file> to uncar the files.
shut down sap using the MMC.
then in services stop saposcol
oracle service sapserviceSID
and the sapSID_##
now just copy the new kerlnel files you have uncared above into the /usr/sap/SID/exe/run/ directory.
start the services you stopped and start SAP using the MMC.
Now you should be able to logon. Somtimes the MMC shows the yellow status due to missing workprocess status. However the system should work fine.

During installation i am getting an error which is as follows,
"Unable to open RFC connection to SAP System NSP.
Solution: Start the system."
And the second problem is that there are no connections shown in SAPGUI.
Please help me out.

Unable to open RFC connection - Err message

I all
I am trying to install SAP ERP 2004 SR1 on Microsoft Windows Server 2003, SQL Server 2000. I have successfully installed the Central Instance but when I try to install the Database instance after the database loading the following error is given:
FRF00007 - Unable to open RFC connection.
I have also tried to start the sap system. The message_server and igswd processed run ok, but the disp+work process is stopped.
I am also sending you the developer trace for this process.

I had installed ore 1.3.1 windows server 2008 on top of Oracle DB 11.2.0.3 ,but when I connect the database,it didn't work.

Could you please help me with this problem? I'm trying to configure Oracle XE 11g for external procedures, this because I have to access some procedures in a DLL made in Delphi 6.0, but even with the simplest of the dll I make, like a sum made in C, I can't get pass this error ORA-28575: unable to open RPC connection to external procedure agent.

Hello,
This error could appear due to issues with configuration of your listener, database or with extproc. First check that the permissions on extproc in your Oracle_home specified in your listener.ora file are valid:
Run the following ./extproc and it should display the banner.
If above is ok, then check for the domain name. One probable reason could be that if default_domain is set and that domain is not appended to the service name in tnsnames.ora, the connection fails.

SR3 installation on solaris10 - unable to open file error

I am installing Netweaver 7.0 system BI, ECC ,Portal on solaris 10 and oracle 10g database. I am using SR3 installation Master for solaris sparc 64. During installation i come across errors such as 'Error : SP2-0310 unable to open ora_query3_tmp1_1.sql" .When i check in the 'sapinst' directory i see that this file has only read permssions. When i change the permission to full and rerun sapinst, again the same error appears. When i check the permission for this file, it is again in read only mode.
What is happening is, sapinst creates this file with rw-rr permission each and every time i run sapinst. i set the umask of the root user from which iam running the install to '000', but still the same error. root user is part of sapinst group. i checked all possibilities but couldn't get rid of this error. Seems like a bug in SR3 for solaris.
Has anyone come across this error before. If so is there any fix for this.
Would award points for whoever come with solution to this.

You can circumvent that problem if you don´t use "/tmp" as installation directory but a different directory. I always do a (as root)
mkdir /install
cd /install
<path-to-sapinst>/sapinst
This will also make things easier since you don´t have to step deeply into nested directory structures...

Downloaded file from SAP to excel 2007(*.xlsx, *.xlsm) - unable to open

Hi All,
I am downloading a data from SAP to excel(*.xlsx) format. I am able to conver/download the file in *.xlsx format, but if try to open the downloaded excel file, it gives teh error message 'Excel cannot open the file 'filename.xlsx' because the file format or file extension is not valid. Verify that the file has not been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the file'. with a OK button. When I press the OK button, no data is displayed.
So kindly let me know how to download the file from SAP to *.xlsx format without any errors.
Note: I am able to download the data in *.xls format without any erros.

Hi,
You are probably not being able to open the file of .XLSX format because you do not have Microsoft Office 2007 installed on your system. You might be having a lower version of Microsoft Office. e.g. 2003.
What you can do is, before opening the .XLSX file directly on a system which does not have Microsoft Office 2007, you can convert it into .XLS format and then open the same.

Unable to open remote connection

For all vApp VMs (Linux, Windows) when selecting "Open With..." the response is "RDP, VNC or SSH is not enabled or accessible on this VM". However I am able to connected to the same deployed vApp VMs via the the helper apps (Remoter, iSSH, etc.) directly from the iPad and from my laptop without any issue.
User form iPad is org admin.
Possible causes:
Under the Hardware section of the VM, the IP address field is blank. The VM clearly has an IP that can be reached; I looked it up in vCLoud Director from my laptop
No matter how many times I change the helper apps it does not persist after a save.
There is no problem seeing, deploying, etc. from the vCloud iPad app.

To connect to remotely, the guest OS must have RDC, VNC, or SSH services enabled, and accessibly through its firewall.

Has anyone experienced a similar error to this:
After about 3 days of use our application starts to report errors opening
the database connection. By that time we've had thousands of transactions
happen. Oracle is only showing a few open connections to our iAS host so
the error seems to indicate the connection pool. I'm configured for 64
connections (the default). We are using the Oracle native driver on iAS
SP3, Solaris.
The iAS ksvradmin monitor gives errors when trying to see how many open
connections it has (verified bug in SP3), so I can't get any info from iAS
on the connection pool.

iAS6 SP3 and earlier cannot detect dead connections. If connections become
stale, iAS does not detect this and will hand out these stale connections.

Unable to create RFC connections

I got a message to update a managed system. I start managed system configuration and select the affected system, configure system step 3 connect managed system. At this point I get an error stating "Error when opening and RFC connection (lb: Hostname or service of the message server unknown" I have tried pinging the system by hostname from the solution manager server and it pings fine. I ran a connection test from the Solution Manager server to the managed system using the one RFC connection available and it connects well also. When I look in the work directory there is an error message repeating the above. Not sure what else I can look at there, I entered the system into the HOSTS file on the solution manager server to see if it made a difference it doesn't. Attached is the entry in the DEV_RFC log from the work directory it won't paste into the question for some reason

ORA-28575: unable to open RPC connection to external procedure

I am trying to run a little external procedure that allows me to run a shell script from a stored procedure, however I keep getting the error as shown in the subject line. I understand that this error is caused by misconfigured listener.ora and tnsnames.ora files. I have been trying to set them up to use IPC and extproc, however, for the life of me I can't seem to get it to work.
Would it be possible so someone to post sample .ora files that allow trusted callouts?
P.S. I'm running on Redhat 7.2 and have no other problems (other than a lack of knowledge :) ).

Try to add the following code in the tnsnames.ora and listener.ora respectively:

REMEMBER: the key in tnsnames.ora = the key in listener.ora

IDES Installation error (RFC connection error)

Would someone help me?
I have a problem while installing the IDES ,ECC 6.0 with MaxDB. (Linux)
The installaiton of CI is holding in the phase " Checking the DDIC password " and it seems a loop.
Looking through sapinst.log , there is some messages.
These messages are showing as a loop.

RFC connection information checked successfully.
ERROR 2008-06-25 13:47:10
FRF-00007 Unable to open RFC connection.
ERROR 2008-06-25 13:47:10
MUT-03025 Caught ERfcExcept in Modulecall: Timeout.
And I tried to logon ,but I didn't because of the timeout.
The window says "waiting for response" and the logon is over with a error,timeout.
Any hints and advice would be helpful for me ,thanks.

Hi,
1. Check dailog work processes through OS level
2. Check all profile parameters through OS level and change it according.
3. Then try for sap logon with 000 client and password.
After login into sap, check RFC connection within the system. using by tcode sm59.
4. Finally you can check also MaxDB services at OS level.
