SAP R/3 TO DATA BASE?

My scenario is to send the data from SAP R/3 TO oracle data base which updates the data\chages in oracle data base?
Explain me this scenario?
Thank you

Hi,
When you need to load information into an SAP R/3 system from a legacy system, a set of tools that falls into the Data Transfer catagory are used. Between 3.1H and 4.6C there were major changes in this area of SAP. The old Data Transfer Workbench can be used, or you can combine the new tools with programs that you write to effectively manage a data transfer project. SAP offers The Data Transfer Guidebook www.saplabs.com/dx to help guide users through the process.
Moreover,  the new functions use BAPI interfaces and reduce the time and cost of mass data transfer . The
DXWB also integrates batch input and direct input based on the business object's
load programs. The DXWB is a one-stop-shop for all data transfers and contains
the Data Mapping and Conversion (DMC) tool and integrates with the Legacy
System Migration Workbench data mappings.
The DXWB provides central functions to facilitate required DX tasks:
. Organize DX-related work (project organization)
. Access to DX-related documentation on specific topic
. Understand the SAP target structures
. Edit data file for test purposes
. Map legacy structures to SAP target structure by using DMC
. Run the required ABAP-based DX programs
. Log technical and application errors
. Correct erroneous records before reprocessing

  • SAP QUERY -logical data base ADA

I have created a SAP Query with logical data base ADA,I have selected four tables in it.Do i need to link these tables if yes..where and how?The report is for fields in asset master data.
.But i get below error when i try to genaret the output :
Fields from parallel tables within a line
    Line: 01
    Field: Asset description
    (ANLT-TXT50, table ANLT)
Field: License plate no. of vehichle
    (ANLZ-KFZKZ, table ANLZ)
i get such similar five messages but they are warning..when i execute with warning however i get the fields with description but not with Value.Ex:i get asset description and not Asset number as required.

You don't have to link them, they ar linked that is the power of a logical data base
To get the text in your report you need the key fields
    Like
    (Lanque Key)
    company code
    asset number
    Asset sub number
Go to info sets and look to the standard ones like /SAPQUERY/AM01

  • Best Practice for SAP PI installation to share Data Base server with other

    Hi All,
We are going for PI three tire installation but now I need some best practice document for PI installation should share Data base with other Non-SAP Application or not. I never see SAP PI install on Data base server which has other Application sharing. I do not know what is best practice but I am sure sharing data base server with other non-sap application doesnu2019t look good means not clean architecture, so I need some SAP document for best practice to get it approve from management. If somebody has any document link please let me know.
    With regards
    Sunil

You should not mix different apps into one database.
If you have a standard database license provided by SAP, then this is not allowed. See these sap notes for details:
    [581312 - Oracle database: licensing restrictions|https://service.sap.com/sap/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=581312]
[105047 - Support for Oracle functions in the SAP environment|https://service.sap.com/sap/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=105047] -> number 23
          23. External data in the SAP database
Must be covered by an acquired database license (Note 581312).
Permitted for administration tools and monitoring tools.
In addition, we do not recommend to use an SAP database with non-SAP software, since this constellation has considerable disadvantages

  • Creating a Crystal Report from a non-SAP data base

    I have the following scenario
    server1\myDataBase
    server1\SAP\sapDataBases
in sapDataBases I have about 30 company databases. I am trying to create a report, that gets informatino from a table/view/SP from server1\myDataBase, when I try to PREVIEW or SAVE such report on SAP Business One, I always get errors as
I understand that this eerror means taht I can't invoke the data from out of SAP; it needs to be inside SAP (at least the SP, incoking some other data bases and stuff..)
Some bodies have told me that it is beacuase I can only create a report from a table/view/sp that resides in the running/currently SAP company database. Is this right?
Also, If this is the case, this means that If I have an SP taht I use for a crystal report, and 30 companies, I have to create such SP in the 30 companies?
    This is my software details:
    SQL Server 2012
SAP Business One 9 PL 11
SAP BusinessObjects Crystal Reports 2013 Support Pack 2 version 14.1.2.1121
What I want to do is to create a non-SAP data base to create all the SPs/Views for reports, to centralize it, and the just create one reporte and do the 30-imports in each company database, without the need of creating such sps/views in each company-database. Is this possible?
    Thanks

    Moved to Integration Kit forum.
The people in this forum will know more about the data structure than the CR Design forum which typically doesn't know much about the SAP Data sources Structure.

  • SAP R/3 and JAVA based data base

    hi,
I have two data base one is SAp r/3 and another is JAVA based.
i need to link one table from Sap r/3 and one from JAVA based data base.
using crystal reports how can i do this????
    thanks

    hi,
in Crystal reports go to data base expert in the pop up link JAVA based data base using JDBC and connect SAp r/3 using SAP.
You will be able to get SAp menue only if you are using crystal reports version 2008 or version 12.
Once the connection is established select the tables you require and rest remains same.
    Thanks.

  • Data base oracle in SAP

    Hi,
The combination of all dimension id's ideally make the primary(composite) key of the fact table.
it seems that there is a database restriction of 16 fields to be combined to make a joint primary key.
I heard that Oracle table join relation is the restriction of 16. I mean foregn key relations from a table ( fact table ) can not exceede 16. and thus we have 16 dimensions as the restriction..
It is ORacle limitation.. ( data base )
Any data base can not have more than 16 Fields as primary key in a table and hence 16 dimentions as MAX limit..for our facttable / cube.In database tables level we have only 16 primary keys, thats the reason why we hav 16 dimensions in infocube.
( remember oracle is the database we use for SAP ).

Yes, you understand the issue.  Not sure about all the other DBs, I think they have 16 column index limits as well.  Even if one of them would support more columns in the index, I doubt SAP would reengineer the BW to support them, until/unless that DB had a major portion of the BW installations.

  • Inconsistency  in Data Replication to the Data Base MEREP_207  (SAP Mobile)

    Hello
I have the following problem in WAS 7.00 SP16 (Usage type Mobile Infrastructure):
Scanario: Backend driven replication (T51, Server Driven), SyncBO = Reservation
    Case A:
When modifying data in the backend with transaction MB22, in some cases (Replicated database is empty for that SyncBO), all the items (010) are generated in the data base MEREP_207 which PARENT_SYNC_KEY = '00000000 all the items with the same TOP = '00000000')
    Case B:
When modifying in the backend with the transaction data with MB22, hundreds of records (items) are generated in the data base MEREP_207,
with the same PARENT_SYNC_KEY, but with a different R3KEY (items with the same header). R3KEY here represents the R3KEY of the TOP plus a sequence.
No one of the SAP Notes I searched applies to the current version of WAS.
Thank you very much for the help.
    Best regards.

    Hi,
it seems you key filed has the same value always or you do not have a key field - what I do not get if you talk about Notes - are you using a standard SAP Mobile App or is you mobile AP custom build?
Well, if I get it right you end up with just one dataset instead of 100 and always the last one overwrites the one before (cause SyncKey is the same)?
In that case, please check you data model for KeyFields and check that these are different. What do you do in the getlist and getdetail handlers?

  • Data Base copy from SAP to SAP

    Hi all,
I have a question about Data Base copy between two instances, for a subset of data stored on both custom and standard tables.
The second instance is basically derived from the development environment of the first one, but need to be populated with specific information. I also need to preserve all link between the tables involved.
What's the best approch to do this?
    Thanks in advance,

  • Check our name in SAP data base

    Hi,
Please tell me how to check our name in SAP data base and can we check our score as well as our sertification details also, if yes tell me proceedure.
    Thanks.
    Regards
    Samir.

    Hi
I dont know if I understood your question but as far as I understood you are asking how to see your name in the SAP database. User names are maintained in the data base and you can see the details after logging into the system using menu option System> User Profile> Own data. Here you can see the user ID and and more details about the company address etc if it is maintained.
Please let me know if this is what you are looking for

ORA-1033 = Oracle intialization or shutdown in progress
    is the database started?
the oracle listener is up and running?
    try :
    > lsnrctl status (using user <sid>adm)
if the listener is not up, start it using the appropriate service...
do you have any logs, like the startdb.log or any of the dev_w?, dev_disp etc.?

  • Missing Data base in SAP B1

    Dear Gurus,
I just upgraded my system yesterday to version 8.82 PL11 but the SBO cannot see the database. Please what did you think I have done wrong or I need to do to make my system see this. Also note that my system Siteuser Password cannot be changed as the database server cannot be seen in service manager. I have blow screenshot for your review.
    Regards,

    Dear Paramveer,
Thank you for your support, I Uninstall the server tool and reprocess as typical installation which now called for  a new Siteuser password and I gave a new password to enable the system point to the missing data base. To that end my missing data base is now seen.
For the upgrade I do not have a test server on the server but I shall look into that later
Thanks to you and also Nagaran for your support.
    Thomas,
To answer your question I use 2008R2.
    Thanks

  • Interface between Lotus Notes Data Base &  SAP

    Hi All,
Our client is having both Lotus Notes Database & SAP. Theirs some data is stored in the Lotus Notes Database. Now they want to transfer that data into SAP.
What we have suggested is to download the data from the Lotus Notes into excel sheets & from the excel sheets we can upload into SAP.
Plz tell is there any interfacing tool available between Lotus Notes Database & SAP or what we have suggested is right?
