I am new to this site.
I would like to learn the real estate management. I need to configure RE for my client.
Please send the configuration documents for Lease out and Lease ins topics. if not please provide the configuration material what ever you have -right from the beginning with Transaction codes.
I got one docu from online sap material but its too large and confusing.
or else, pls suggest me the best way to prepare config document.
It is very urgent requirement for me.
It will be a great help for me if you send this docs, at the earliest.

Can someone please help me in configuring Flexible Real Estate Management in SAP BW.
I have loaded BUSINESS CONTENT and there are no datasources avaialble to me for for cubes 0REFX_C11, 0REFX_C12 and 0REFX_C14, as well as DSO'S 0REFXDS03, 0REFXDS02.
For DSO = 0REFXDS03, my understanding is that this DSO is used for deleted items, so i have the Transformations but im unable to create the DTP on the InfoObjects.

I am in a product developement team for developing a industrial Solution for HomeBuilding, for that we require Real estate(RE) Management Component....
So i want to know some of the basics of the RE....
Can someone explain me,

Real Estate Management module is more robust in managing Real Estate properties for activities and processes like leasing, property maintenance like manging repairs etc (when attached to Plant Maintenance module). You can also use it for Lease in's. (caution: please associate 'renting' wherever lease is mentioned, not to get confused with lease of machinery or financia lease etc.)
The <b>main</b> master data in RE are like Business Entity,Property, Buildings, Rental Units and Leaseout. These are called RE-Objects and they are also <b>Controlling objects.</b> For example let's take Spenzer Plaza in Chennai and you are the owner. The whole Spencer Plaza will be a <b>Business Entity</b>. The land in there will be created as a <b>Property</b> and the building structure as <b>Building</b>. The several floors or the individual rentable portions will be created as <b>Rental Units</b>. When 'Planet M' approaches you to rent one of the floors, you create a <b>Lease out</b> with reference to one of the Rental Unit.
The system automatically creates a schecule of periodic rentals called cash flow and it has the capabilities to debit the customer Planet M account with the rent due. etc.
You can also maintain information to land through Land Register.

These are not used for Homebuilding.

You need to have FI and CO before you can use REM.
<b>4) From which version they are available. can we still use classic RE.</b>
4.5B onwards RE was introduced as a Inudstry specific module under FI. It became as a part of FI from 4.6B December 1999. The RE-FX cameinto effect from Enterprise version.
You can continue to use RE Classic even in later releases. But once you activate the RE-FX you can no longer user Classic. There is a switch to start using RE-FX.
<b>1) The difference between Classic RE and RE-FX.</b>
There were some restriction in classic RE that you must have an RE Objects before you can create a contract. In RE-FX these have been removed. For more information on RE-FX you can read the release notes available on SAP's help portal. -

Can you pls let me know if Lease in scenario be captured through Real Estate Management (Classic)?
Hi,
the general contract (menu Real estate general contract) has some functionalities for this scenario, but is to be used only for already existing RE Classic implementations. For a new implementation please use RE-FX.

I am handling classic real estate management can someone tell that is there is integration of hr-payroll with classic real estate management.
The scenario is that the company is having large number of quartes which he gave there employee on rent but this rent is deducted from their salary.
So can anybody knows that how to handle this scenario.

How is credit note to an invoice sap real estate
I need to make a credit note to an invoice of a leasein the form of real state of sap

You can think about below procedures for your question.
A. Create Credit Note (by Invoicing procedure)
1) Selection Type
When you try to progress rent invoices by using SAP RE Std.Transaction
(T-Code: RERAIV - Create Invoices ), you can consider about below two selection type :
a) Selection using FI documents
--> That is for actual invoice based on the billing(posted) documents.
& you can define the "Invoice Correspondence" (Include Detail)
b) Selection using planned items of the cash flow
--> That is for planned invoice as pro forma invoice (just first time)
& you can define the another "Correspondence" for this format. (Not Detail)
2) Summarize Invoices
a) Per recipient (can involve several contracts)
--> If the selected business partner has multiple contracts, then the items of all contracts
are grouped into one invoice.
b) Per contract
--> If the selected business partner has multiple contracts, then the items of each contract
are grouped into separate invoices.
B. Print-Out Format for the Credit Note
You can define and design the "Correspondence of credit note" as below,
- Go to RECACUST >> Correspondence > PDF-Based Forms (Mass Print and Single Print) >
Forms > Define Forms
- Go to RECACUST >> Correspondence > PDF-Based Forms (Mass Print and Single Print) >

SAP Implementation for a Real Estate Company
Dear All ,
We are doing SAP implementation for a building construction Company .My client is responsible for building construction .What they do is initially some 10 members of this Company will create a society(Legal Entity) .They are like promoters for company . They will put advertisement for buying of flats belonging to that society . Then some 20 members (outside) join this society by registering who are actual buyers of the Flats which society builds .
Then this society passes a resolution that my client will be the building contractor for flats . After that these 20 outside members will pay the full amount . After this Flats were built then these members will occupy flat ,then after some 4 -5 years of maintenance these 10 core members of society will hand over the society completely to secondary members and come out of the society .
Now how we will map this society in SAP .One society can have more than one project going on . Somebody is suggesting to treat a society as a company code . But we have more than 250 societies . Is it viable . Shall we create plant for each project .
Suggestions From SDN :I would suggest that in case of PS, consider society as Business area and each building as one Project and under project WBS and if any activities floor wise consider as networks
