SAP remove the default values when modify the default warehouse at SO lines
Hi All,
Whenever I change the default warehouse field at SO lines, all the default dimension values will be removed.
Is this normal for SAP operation?
Any setting to prevent it to remove all default values?
Thank you very much.

Vivian

Calculating the actual value when creating the input schedule on BPC NW 7.0
Hello Experts,
I have One questions regarding the calculation when building the input schedule.
the structure of this input schedule is like this:
CV: App01-time-entity-account-version-p_datasource ...
Plan Value Actual Value
Project 1000
In the backend of BPC ,The Actual value is retrived from other system using BW DTP function, and with the monthly based line item. We build the BPC-mutiprovider by the actual value cube and the plan data cube.
From the BPC Office view, we want display the actual value by aggregating historice data till the month which user selected in the current view. These actual data is just the reference for user when they input the plan data. so we dont want these data stored in the application or database.
Can anyone give us some hints?
Thanks a lot in advance!
Best Regards,
Vivi

Vishnu.Hi,
The events of BDT can be used to default some fields on creating a partner.
For this create a function module for ISDAT. attach that event in BUS7.
In the ISDAT funtion modulethe following code should be used.
For example to set the nationality:
I_BUSDEFAULT-NATIO = 'DE.
CALL FUNCTION 'BUP_BUPA_FIELDVALUES_SET'
EXPORTING
i_busdefault = I_BUSDEFAULT

Greetings Everyone,
I am getting the follow up errors: "This field contains duplicate values. Remove all duplicate values and try the operation again."
when I tried to make the field "Claim Number" from the list in site collection library. See the screen below:
1- I selected on the "List" and I clicked on the list name
"Claim Tracking Report"
2- After I clicked on the list name then I went to the ribbon and selected list setting to choose Enforce Unique for the Field Column
"Claim Number"
3- Then I went down and selected
"Yes" to Enforced the Unique for the Field Column "Claim Number".
4- Then after I clicked "Yes" I got the error
"Sorry, something went wrong. This field contains duplicate values. Remove all duplicate values and try the operation again." But I don't have any duplicates values Items, because I had them removed before I tried
to Enforce the field column values to Unique. Can someone help or provide me a suggestions on how I can solve this issue please. Thank you
FYI: I am using a Nintex WorkflowHope this is a list, how many total items are there?
Please try to open this list as access(link in IE) and run this query in access
SELECT Claim.[Claim Number], Count(*) AS Expr1
FROM Claim
GROUP BY Claim.[Claim Number]
HAVING (((Count(*))>1));
Hope it will show something! if this does not show you dups then better to create a separate list and migrate items after configuring unique column.
Please 'propose as answer' if it helped you, also 'vote helpful' if you like this reply. -
How do I remove an old username from the app store when using the update function
How do I remove an old username from the app store when using the update function.
I purchased my Mac used. The former owners username prepopulates when I try to perform the updated function on the app store. It does not allow me to use a different user name. I have created my own username and password. I have even been able to purchase items from the app store, it's just when I use the update function it does populate with my username. Any help is appreciated.The first thing to do with a second-hand computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. You — not the previous owner — must do that. How you do it depends on the model, and on whether you already own another Mac. If you're not sure of the model, enter the serial number on this page. Then find the model on this page to see what OS version was originally installed.
1. You don't own another Mac.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) installation disc from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller — not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. Preferably, install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the installation media that came with it: gray installation discs, or a USB flash drive for some MacBook Air models. For early MBA models, you may need a USB optical drive or Remote Disc. You should have received the media from the previous owner, but if you didn't, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
To boot from an optical disc or a flash drive, insert it, then reboot and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, you don't need media. It should boot into Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
2. You do own another Mac.
If you already own another Mac that was upgraded in the App Store to the version of OS X that you want to install, and if the new Mac is compatible with it, then you can install it. Use Recovery Disk Assistant to create a bootable USB device and boot the new Mac from it by holding down the C key at the startup chime. Alternatively, if you have a Time Machine backup of OS X 10.7.3 or later on an external hard drive (not a Time Capsule or other network device), you can boot from that by holding down the option key and selecting it from the row of icons that appears. Note that if your other Mac was never upgraded in the App Store, you can't use this method.
Once booted in Recovery, launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive — not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive.
After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. You will need the Apple ID and password that you used to upgrade. When the installation is done, the system will automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
Then run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. To upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, get it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the previous owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed — you have to repurchase them.
If the previous owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Apple customer service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.
If the previous owner didn't deauthorize the computer in the iTunes Store under his Apple ID, you wont be able to authorize it immediately under your ID. In that case, you'll either have to wait up to 90 days or contact iTunes Support. -

At least twice the size does not mean exactly the doubled size.
There is no contradiction between the documentation and your observation in this case.

Issue using extractval to get the node value when there is namespace
I created the db with a XMLType column:
CREATE TABLE mytable1 (key_column VARCHAR2(10) PRIMARY KEY, xml_column1 XMLType);
Then inserted one row:
INSERT INTO mytable1 (key_column,xml_column1) VALUES ('test', XMLType('<MY_TEST xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/ku" version="1.0">
<SCHEMA>SYSTEM</SCHEMA>
<NAME>TABLE41</NAME>
<TEST_GROUP>TEST_GRP_RMP</TEST_GROUP>
<TEST_NAME>DEPARTTEST</TEST_NAME>
<FUNCTION_SCHEMA>SYSTEM</FUNCTION_SCHEMA>
<TEST_FUNCTION>EXCLUDE_TABLE</TEST_FUNCTION>
<STATEMENT_TYPE_LIST>
<STATEMENT_TYPE_LIST_ENTRY>
<NAME>SELECT</NAME>
</STATEMENT_TYPE_LIST_ENTRY>
</STATEMENT_TYPE_LIST>
<UPDATE_CHECK>Y</UPDATE_CHECK>
<ENABLE>Y</ENABLE>
<STATIC_POLICY>N</STATIC_POLICY>
<TEST_TYPE>DBMS_RLS.DYNAMIC</TEST_TYPE>
<LONG_PREDICATE>N</LONG_PREDICATE>
</MY_TEST>'));
Then I ran:
select extractValue(xml_column1,'MY_TEST/TEST_NAME') policy from mytable1;
There is nothing returned.
If i do not have "xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/ku" " in MY_TEST node, then the correct value returned.
Please advise how could I get the node value when there is namespace? Thanks.This is a known issue. In the third parameter of extractvalue, set the namesapce. Then it works.

NMP random crashes when modifying the timeline.
FCPx is crashing/exiting when modifying the timeline. Happens randomly few times an hour - sometimes more. I updated all apps except going to YOSEMITE and it still crashes.
I`ll paste a log report below for what its worth.
Is there any apple staff that look at logs or is it just community aid?
Thanks anyone who can advise!

Why don't you convert all the old 16 bit code into 32 bit code and
create one application where the various parts all know about each
other? I don't think that there's any way to coordinate an old 16 bit
LV and a new 32 bit LV application so that they don't step on each
other driverwise like they appear to be doing. I don't think that the
two LabVIEW's even know that the other exists!
Alternatively, get a second computer to run the 16 bit code on and
make the two apps communicate with
each other using TCP/IP or serial.

Extended Edit box loses the typed value when form is resized
Extended Edit box loses the typed value when form is resized:
Hi,
I have added an extended edit box in a system form (SO form). When form is resized, I'm programmatically repositioning the edit box for proper alignment. When I do that, whatever has been typed in the edit box is lost (which is not yet saved).
If I don't do repositioning of the edit box, then it is working fine - whatever the user typed remains there.
Why is this happening, and how can I work-around this?
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Geetha
Edited by: Rui Pereira on Dec 23, 2008 4:24 PMHi Geeta,
Try to disable the scroll of Extended Edit text.
its in the property list of the Extended Edit Textbox's object.
Actually its also with SBO's own extendedBoxes but whenever we mouse over on the box. it again appears but ita after saving the data. -
Can I keep the CC value when user click the REPLY TO button in outlook?
Hi all,
I have set the CC value when I send email out. But when user reply the received email, the CC value will be displayed in the TO field. If anyone knows how can I keep the CC value unchanged when user reply the received email?
Thanks very much.It depends entirely on the mailer they're using, you have no control over it.

Hi,
I created a simple plugin and since i wanted to use Early Binding i added Xrm.cs file to my solution.After i tried registering the plugin (using the Plugin Registration Tool) the plugin does not gets registered and i get the below mentioned Exception.

Not understanding what exactly is the issue.
Any Suggestions are highly appreciated.
Thanks,

Hello Shardha,
I really appreciate that you have faced this issue.This is really very strange issue and basically it occurs because of big size of your early bound class and slow internet
connection.
I would strictly recommend you to reduce the file size of your early bound class and then register.By default early bound class is created for all the entities which are
present in CRM(System entities as well custom entities).Such kind of early bound classes takes lots of time to register on server and hence timeout exception comes.
There is some standard define to reduce the size of early bound class.Please follow the link to get rid from big size of early bound class.
Create a new C# class library project in Visual Studio called SvcUtilFilter.
In the project, add references to the following:
CrmSvcUtil.exe(from sdk) This exe has the interface we will implement.
Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.dll (found in the CRM SDK).
System.Runtime.Serialization.
Add the following class to the project:
using System;
using System.Collections.Generic;
using System.Xml.Linq;
using Microsoft.Crm.Services.Utility;
using Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.Metadata;
namespace SvcUtilFilter
/// <summary>
/// CodeWriterFilter for CrmSvcUtil that reads list of entities from an xml file to
/// determine whether or not the entity class should be generated.
/// </summary>
public class CodeWriterFilter : ICodeWriterFilterService
//list of entity names to generate classes for.
private HashSet<string> _validEntities = new HashSet<string>();
//reference to the default service.
private ICodeWriterFilterService _defaultService = null;
/// <summary>
/// constructor
/// </summary>
/// <param name="defaultService">default
implementation</param>
public CodeWriterFilter( ICodeWriterFilterService defaultService )
this._defaultService = defaultService;
LoadFilterData();
/// <summary>
/// loads the entity filter data from the filter.xml file
/// </summary>
private void LoadFilterData()
XElement xml = XElement.Load("filter.xml");
XElement entitiesElement = xml.Element("entities");
foreach (XElement entityElement in entitiesElement.Elements("entity"))
_validEntities.Add(entityElement.Value.ToLowerInvariant());
/// <summary>
/// /Use filter entity list to determine if the entity class should be generated.
/// </summary>
public bool GenerateEntity(EntityMetadata entityMetadata, IServiceProvider services)
return (_validEntities.Contains(entityMetadata.LogicalName.ToLowerInvariant()));
//All other methods just use default implementation:
public bool GenerateAttribute(AttributeMetadata attributeMetadata, IServiceProvider services)
return _defaultService.GenerateAttribute(attributeMetadata, services);
public bool GenerateOption(OptionMetadata optionMetadata, IServiceProvider services)
return _defaultService.GenerateOption(optionMetadata, services);
public bool GenerateOptionSet(OptionSetMetadataBase optionSetMetadata, IServiceProvider services)
return _defaultService.GenerateOptionSet(optionSetMetadata, services);
public bool GenerateRelationship(RelationshipMetadataBase relationshipMetadata, EntityMetadata otherEntityMetadata, IServiceProviderservices)
return _defaultService.GenerateRelationship(relationshipMetadata, otherEntityMetadata, services);
public bool GenerateServiceContext(IServiceProvider services)
return _defaultService.GenerateServiceContext(services);
This class implements the ICodeWriterFilterService interface. This interface is used by the class generation
utility to determine which entities, attrributes, etc. should actually be generated. The interface is very simple and just has seven methods that are passed metadata info and return a boolean indicating whether or not the metadata should be included
in the generated code file.
For now I just want to be able to determine which entities are generated, so in the constructor I read from an XML
file (filter.xml) that holds the list of entities to generate and put the list in a Hashset. The format of the xml is this:
<filter>
<entities>
<entity>systemuser</entity>
<entity>team</entity>
<entity>role</entity>
<entity>businessunit</entity>
</entities>
</filter>
Take a look at the methods in the class. In the GenerateEntity method, we can simply check the EntityMetadata parameter
against our list of valid entities and return true if it's an entity that we want to generate.
For all of the other methods we want to just do whatever the default implementation of the utility is. Notice
how the constructor of the class accepts a defaultService parameter. We can just save a reference to this default service and use it whenever we want to stick with the default behavior. All of the other methods in the class just call the default
service.
To use our extension when running the utility, we just have to make sure the compiled DLL and the filter.xml file
are in the same folder as CrmSvcUtil.exe, and set the /codewriterfilter command-line argument when running the utility (as described in the SDK):
crmsvcutil.exe /url:http://<server>/<org>/XrmServices/2011/Organization.svc /out:sdk.cs /namespace:<namespace> /codewriterfilter:SvcUtilFilter.CodeWriterFilter,SvcUtilFilter
/username:[email protected] /password:xxxx
That's it! You now have a generated sdk.cs file that is only a few hundred kilobytes instead of 5MB.
One final note: There is actually a lot more you can do with extensions to the code generation utility.
For example: if you return true in the GenerateOptionSet method, it will actually generated Enums for each CRM picklist (which it doesn't normally do by default).
Also, the source code for this SvcUtilFilter example can be found here.
Use at your own risk, no warranties, etc. etc.

Thus, the classpath being set in that shell script is not incorporating the .jar files where the endeca-specific classes are packaged. I would start by adding an line to see what your classpath is set to. There are actually already some lines of shell script in clover that you can uncomment to see what .jars are getting loaded:
#echo $CLOVER_LIB/*
for i in $CLOVER_LIB/*.jar $CLOVER_LIB/*.zip; do
LOCAL_CLASSPATH="$LOCAL_CLASSPATH:$i"
done;
#for i in `ls $CLOVER_LIB/*.jar`; do
#echo $i
#done;
You could also echo LOCAL_CLASSPATH to see what is getting set there. At the end of the day, you will need the endeca-specific jars to load which can be found here: /Endeca/Discovery/2.3.0/Integrator/plugins/com.endeca.latitude_1.0.0/*

Is the FIFO value stored in the database? Where?
Hi,
We are working on an implementation project of B1 with an integration to SAP ERP. We need to find the stock value somewhere in the database. Does this exist if you are running FIFO? Is running a stock report the only way to find the stock value when running FIFO, nothing is stored in the DB?
Your help is much appreciated.

We are virtualizing our Oracle 11gR2 databases (running on OEL57 64-bit) on Vmware 5.1. I've read information at various locations that hyperthreading is not recommended for Oracle 11g database. One example is here, however, I seen many more: http://
