SAP Report Painter - GRR1

Dear SAP Expert
Can you help me on below issue?
I developed one CO-CCA report (TC: GGR1)
Data is OK but now I am facing issues in format.
Format Group              0                   0
Lead Column              Jan                 Feb
Sale                          10,000           90,000
GP                               4,000           30,000
GP Margin %              40.00             33.33
The requirement of this report is to view values in scaling of 000 (Thousand)
While executing this report user is using column format scaling in 000 and decimal 0
Implication on report
Amount values are OK (Sales and GP)
but Calulated GP margis is almost showing ZERO due to 000 scaling format option.
I am looking for solution where I can format only selected special rows with decimal 2 format and scaling 1 format
Please assist and advice.

Its clear to me that you have understood my requirement and reached near to solution.
Option 1 Change formula by adding 000 - I tried but it will not meet my requirement.
Option 2 Hard Code the scaling option in form defination itself (GRR2) - I checked GRR2 but could able to find option for hard code, can you please assist on this?
Additionally I noticed when I selected row like "GP MARGIN %" and right clicked then I get option NUMBER FORMAT when click this option I get window box option NUMBER FORMAT with sub heading "GP MARGIN %" as FACTOR and Decial Scalling - I selected this scalling but i think it is not getting applied. Possible reason due to column number format leading the settings.

SAP Report Painter for Other R/3 Application Components.

    I am creating Reports using SAP Report Painter tools avaliable in SAP.But the standard options provided for tables while creating our own library only belong to FI/CO area. can I create a table for other sap application compnents like MM or SD. Can I create a report for MM SD area using Sap Report Painter.

I dont think it will possible to Generate reports for SD/MM based on the tables Like G* , but using Statistics tables like S* u can generate reports for them.

Report Painter GRR1, no returning values

Hello,
I'm creating a report using report painter (GRR1). I need to do a Balance report, so i've been creating set's for GL account ranges. For example:
Set 1: from: 2781174000 until: 2781176999
Set2: from: 4300000000 until: 4399999999
I'm building my report using that set's in lines.. explode them and 'Til here everything is ok.
But when i execute my report, is only shown the lines (set's) that cointains amounts on the accounts. Set's that DO NOT have any amount (the amount is zero) don't appear in the report.
My question is.. is it possible to display that "empty" lines in report?

Sorry for bother you one more time.. as you said.. neverending story..
I'm using as characteristic gl account. Now i need to use gl account on selection screen too.
So for that I created a variable of set. In selection screen that field is available to set with gl accounts, but when I execute the report, is displayed all accounts. It doesn't respect the selection i've made by account.
For example in selection screen:
Account from: 1200000 account to: 12999999
I execute report and is displayed all set accounts and not only accounts in range 12000000...12999999.
How can I do that selection correctly?

Create New-GL Profit Center P/L by Report Painter (GRR1)

Dear CO gurus
I'd like to create P/L by Profit center level (New-GL, not EC-PCA).
As a solution, I'd like to use CO report painter (GRR1), instead of new-gl's drill down report painter FGI3.
I could create library by referrencing to FAGLFLEXT.
But when I goes to GRR1, it is difficult to create report.
So, if anybody tells me the detail step or reference side, please let me know.

Process in GRR1 remains same whether you choose 8A library or ora New GL Library
Fgi3 is for drildown reports and GRR1 is for normal reports
What problemproblem are you facing in grr1?? The process is same as for other reports

SAP Report Painter (Drill down)

Hi, SAP Experts,
I'm Henry. This is my first post on SCN.
I'm trying to solve a problem on drill down report of report painter.
I don't have much experiences. I really need your help.
The problem is that I developed one report painter (Balance Sheet) and one query (Line item report by account code).
I put the query on the report painter as drill down report. So, when I click a row on the report painter,
It should go to the query and see appropriate data on it.
However, somehow, company code is NOT copied to the query. Therefore, the result is the query shows all compnies data.
*My client has several compnay codes.
<Example>
[Selection field on the report painter (BS)]
   *Table: FAGLFLEXT
   1. Company code: "A1"
   2. Fiscal Year: "2014"
   3. Fiscal Month: "3"
[Selection field on the query (Line item report by account code)]
   *Logical DB: SDF
   1. Company code: blank (This is the problem. I need to know why the company code isn't copied)
   2. Account code: xxxxxxxxx (The account code is copied from the report painter. This is no problem.)
   3. Fiscal Year: "2014" (No problem)
   4. Fiscal Month: "3" (No problem)
   *After clicking a row on the report painter, I can see all companise data on the query. The query should give only one company which is selected.
If you have any solution or knowledge, could you please share it with me?
If you give me some advice, I would really appreciate it.

Filter option in Report Painter GRR1

Dear Experts,
I have created a report using the the T code: GRR1. The layout is as follows
Expenditure
Department A
Department B
Department C
Department D
Department E
Power & Fuel
Other expenses
Each department having 20 cost centers. I have created the report and assigned in 1SIP report group.
I am able to get the results in the report S_ALR_87013611.
I am able to see the department wise costs in that report.
My Requirement is:
I am expecting a filter in the departments mean to say I want to select few cost centers in the department A after executing the report.
I am expecting a filter in the column heading.
Is it possible. Please guide me.

SAP Report Painter - SAP tables for report items and hierarchy

Hello,
can you pls. help me with an information about the list of SAP tables for Report Painter, particularly the tables where the report items/positions and report hierarchy are stored?
for example, for the Report Writer report items and report hierarchy can be found in T8* tables.
What are these tables for Report Painter?

SAP Report Painter

Is there a maximum on the number of cell formulas that can be created in formula builder within report painter ? I have created 999 cell formulas (last one is Z999), and when I create 1 additional, it becomes Z000. Now I have 2 Z000's. Creating one more becomes Z001 (already have a Z001 - first formula created). How does report painter know which Z000 or Z001 to use ? Is there a way to change the maximum number of formulas ? 'Couldn't find any OSS notes that relate to this....

Hi,
If all cells in a particular row has same formula, and if you have given individually different formula, then you can avoid such multiple formula with a formula in the lead column itself. It would be noted as Y001 and so on..
This way one can minimise the number of cell formulaes (i.e. Z000 etc)

Report Painter (GRR1)

Is it possible to have selection to choose either all GL account or GL account with balance in the report painter? something related to supress zeros or not suppress zeros. Please advice.

To suppress zero rows follow the steps below:
1. Go to t-code GRR2
2. Select and Double click the report in the library
3. Go to Formatting menu and choose Report Layout Sub-menu
4. Go to the Rows tab
5. Choose hide zero rows
6. Save
To suppress zero columns:
1. Go to t-code GRR2
2. Select and Double click the report in the library
3. Go to Formatting menu and choose Report Layout Sub-menu
4. Go to the Columns tab
5. Tick the suppress zero columns
6. Save

SAP Report Painter - How to show currency key in header

I've created a new report painter report against table Faglflext. Basic key figures are extracting Local Currency (HSL). This generic report will be used for various company codes that have different local currencies. In the report header I've specified a General Text Variable with Variable name currency but no data is displayed. The data in the columns are however correct based on company code selection.
Please advise how I can show currency type in header.

You have chosen HSL in the column definition which means to display the values in comp code currency
If I have understood your requirement correct, you want to display the currency of the company code in the Header text or some where as a text, based on the company code given in selection parameter
Thats really not possible!!
However, one smart thing you can do is to
1. Go to GRR2
2. Choose your report and Menu Extras > Report Text > Title page or Header
3. Enter a Text saying that
"This report displays the values in comp code currency... Currency of comp code 1 is USD, comp code 2 is SGD, Comp code 3 is GBP, etc"
Hence, the users would come to know the currency in which it is executed

Report Painter GRR1 table CCSS cost centers actual/bud by period wise

Hi,
I have developed Cost Center Actual/Budget Report by period for 12 months (Jan to Dec in columns) in each columan I have hardcoded period e.g. for Jan (01) Feb (02) till Dec (12-12) for one of coulmns given as variable From Period to To Period as vairbale to choose user in selection criteria (1PERIV-1PERIB). while executivng the report system is givng results for whole (12)periods in the output, even my selection criteria from period 1 to 3.
Please advise any body how can I restrict by period wise.. e.g. if I select from period 1-3 it should show for only 3perios.

I have done below steps to my CC Report to show by period wise(individual columns Jan, Feb, so..on) cost center report:
Step 1: used Library 1VK, Table CCSS in GRR1.
Step 2: Created 12 individuals columns starting from Jan to Dec..
Step 3: Created 12 formula variables(internal Variables) for 12 periods..(becoz if I hardcoded system is deriving all the
             periods)..
           a) created Internal value Variable ZVAR(defaualt 01),ZAR1(default 02),ZAR2 (default 03)...this is for to create fomula
               variables.
           b) for period 1(jan) formula variable "IF '&ZVAR'>= 1 THEN 1 ELSE 017" internal variable table:CCSS,field:PERBL
           c) for period 2(feb) IF '&ZVA1'>= 2 THEN 2 ELSE 017 like wise created 12 variables for 12 periods
Step 4: above the formula variables I have selected check box as variable but not coming on selection screen, I need in
            selection screen from period to period for this I have created one more hide column and given period vairable "1PERIK"
           now its coming on the selection screen but values are not populating based on by selection criteria..
Note: If I slect 1-4 periods it should show for only Jan,Feb, Mar & April and individually..
Please sugget above my formula is correct or not!! appreciate your valuable suggesion!

Scaling factor problem in SAP Report Painter

Hello,
I am designing reports using various scaling factors for column representation.
The Scaling factor of 10 million is not working. It is observed that the scaling factor is working fine till 1 million i.e. 1,000,000.
If the scaling factor is increased to 10 million (or above) i.e. 10,000,000 still the figures are scaled at 1 million only.
Please let me know if any other settings have to be made to make this work as it is required in our reports to show figures in 10 million / 1 crore format. Attach below are the steps of a sample report to clarify the issue. Thanks.

Transaction: GRR2
Report name: ZFRPT5 (Fixed Assets note)
Report Group: ZB05
Path for setting the Scaling factor in the Report:
Formatting => Columns=>Numeric format=>Scaling factor.
Selection parameter (on execution): Fiscal year

formate group "0"
coloumn formate
coluoumn width - 17'
Right margin - '0'
Numerical formate
scaling factor - '1'
Decimial placesses - ' 0.00'.
these are the settings for scaling formate. you will get 1 millions as per this settings
please check.

GRR1 report painter how to explode at GL account level ?

Dear Experts,
I am preparing a balance sheet using report painter GRR1. in the characteristic i assigned the group account number and set as explode. however when i see the report it is exploded at group account number only asterisk level i set is 01. do you guys have any idea how to explode at GL account level? do i need to define asterisk level upto 03 ? if yes how to create asterisk level ?

For each head like Trade Receivables, Trade Parables, etc, Did you explicitly maintain the GL acct. range by selecting 'Account Number' as Characteristics in that line?
