SAP Reporting Structure

Dear Experts,
The Organizational Structure of my company, has some cases where certain positions report to other higher positions, how could that be done on SAP HCM ?? because so far, I can only create positions of the same level only (regardless of the heads of OU).
for example,
(A security supervisor has several security guards as subordinates) and, so forth.

Your solution is perfectly sound for fulfilling the purpose.
However, because I am conducting a demo, I thought a reporting set restriction on the main screen would be more appealing, than an additional selection screen.
In a demo screenshot I have seen that the restrict by option "Persons along organizational structure", is listed right under "No. of hits" like in my screen shot. Can you shed some light on that. I am attaching the demo screenshot I am talking about for reference as well

I created an org unit and its sub units and created positions also ..i want to connect the positions of the parent node and subnode in reporting structure

I want to connect the GM with Manager Unit1 and Manager Unit 2 in reporting structure
Please tell me steps to do this

If you want Manager unit1 and Manager Unit 2 to report to GM then go to PO13 Select the Manager Unit1 and create relationship infotype with A002 relationship in the related Object type choose S (Position) and in the object id choose GM.
Similarly do it for the Manager Unit2

Employee reporting Structure

In my current client we have a requirement for employee reporting structure.
The requirement is one person reporting to maltipal supervisors. is it posible in standard SAP. or if i go for development how it will work how it has to be developed.

Yes, there are ways to do this, but the solution will depend on the outcome you need. You can for example have more than one relationship A012 for your OU (I don't like this one, but I've seen it working). You can use other types os relationships between position and position, I've done that in a customer with relationship B/A 004 and it worked. I've already seen new relationships created in PD in order to represent different types of structure, you can create as many as you want via customize. Everything will depend on the type of structure you want to build. Please be more specific, maybe I can help more.

Reporting structure of Company

Hi Experts,
Our company is jointly based on 2 companies,My team (i.e. 5 subordinates belongs to company 1 and the Boss (ultimate authority belongs to company 2).
In my company the criterea for creating Reporting Structure is such that 5 people(subordinates) report to Boss of my Dept.
His employee code is not created in SAP whereas Empcodes of 5 subordinates is created in SAP.
Can we create a work around for thid ?
how to create such reporting structure od such Organization in SAP ?

Hi Goodafternoon !!
Create a new Department as Management Dept and create a dummy position of all the dept head with 0% where you can view all Management team reporting to one CEO .
Note once you create new position two position will be seen in your org structure with same employee name but one dept will be with 0% and other dept will be with 100% active.
This is as per my idea so experts excuse if am wrong.

I navigate the following
MSS->Reporting->Structured Reporting
and select "Operational View" from the drop down menu. I have checked the functionality and it is SAP Standard. I want to know what is the Function Module that is called when I select this option from the dropdown.
We are on 2004s.

Datasource for financial reporting structure

Hello,
I am extracting data from several finance datasources (FINGLAU*) to an external BW system. For several reporting requirements I need an extract of the so-called Financial Reporting Structures, which are effectively hierarchies of GL-accounts.
I have found a way to manually save these structures to an Excel-file through the Business Configuration work center. However I would like to automate this process by extracting these from a data source but I as of yet I have not been able to find one.
Does anyone know of a datasource to extract these structures?

I am not sure if there is a data source for the financial reporting structure.

Replicate HR Organisation Management and reporting structure

We have setup the OM and reporting structure in our HR systems. How and in what way can we replicate the same set of data to another ERP client (in a different server)?
Is it via ALE ? What is the objects?

Hi Grace,
If you intend to transfer the org structure from SAP to SAP, the most effective method is to use ALE:
- You will need to configure the partner profiles of the two systems
- Use the transaction PFAL for a one time initial load
- Set up change pointers for message type HRMD_A
- Run background jobs each night to update the delta changes if you want to keep both systems in sycn.

OrgChart 3.0 - Reporting Structure - Portrait View is not showing portrait

Hi,
I have enabled the Reporting Structure in the OrgChart.
Everything works, but the portrait is not showing in the OrgChart when I have selected Portrait view for the position.
Portrait is showing on the Details Panel of the Position.
Portrait is also showing in the Organization Chart (not in Reporting Structure).
This error shows in Reporting Structure:

If the position has no PERNR, the log looks like this:

I am guessing could it be the keyword in the WHERE clause that caused the FM in ECC couldn't be called properly.

This function is actually called by the class BAPI_Employee_GetDetails, which is a Nakisa class and not in SAP. Therefore I would raise an OSS note. There are a number of fixes to the SMP build that you have that will be in a build provided by Nakisa.

Validation in SAP Regional structure

Hi All,
I have a situation here.
If the Postal department of a country sends a record(address) which is either to be added or deleted in the SAP Regional structure,but my client(ISU company) wants somebody from his team to review or validate that address record before it is updated in the Regional structure.
This is because they think that they might be a year or so ahead from the Postal department in terms of addresses and might either have that record already present in the system or do not want to delete it as it might impact their assets on that address.
Could anyone tell me what all validations can be done corresponding to that record and what is the procedure for the same.We are only updating the Postal Codes,Streets and the Cities through the SAP standard report RSADRLSM02.
Remember that the person reviewing or validating the address will not have much knowledge of SAP,so he would expect some user friendly approach to do this.
Kindly suggest some feasible approach for the same.

I have a question related to address validation / verification. We want to understand the extent of checks SAP offers by using RSADRLSM02.
We have been suggested by some to go with external software for address checks as opposed to using SAP regional structures.
We are looking for some feedback from customers who have used SAP regional structures before we proceed one way or the other.
Would you mind sharing your experience or point me to a contact ?

SAP report for movement type and material type

Hi!
I would like to use a standard SAP report to give me a list of all the movement types (much like MB51) but instead of material I would like to select on Material type e.g. ROH. The result should for example be a list of the movement types 501 on material type ROH.

I have managed to join the two tables and created a report that will work, except that the amounts in local currency that is given by movement type 201 is not negative (as in MB51). I need all movement types that generate a debit must be shown as a negative value. Wo when I summarize all the movement types I end up with the value of 101 minus 201.
Is that possible without ABAP programming?

Open an HTML file from a SAP Report

Hi all!
I would like to open an HTML file, that`s in a local directory of my PC, from a SAP Report.
It is an alv list, where I have added a pushbotton. And I would like to code the utility of open a local html file, when someone push it.

Is there a SAP report that shows a list of sales orders on which pricing conditions have been changed.
My knowledge is:
Review pricing condition transaction data table (KONV) helps is some way.

I don't know any such a report, but I guess you can play arround with table CDPOS.
Change doc. object = VERKBELEG
Table Name = KONVC.
Actually this will take lot of time.

Creating a new column in SAP reports

Hi All,
I need to add a new column in, Financials --> Financial Reports --> Accounting --> General Ledger. When I try to create a column, it says Column already exists.
Kindly advise me if it is possible to add new columns in SAP reports.

you can't add a column to a system matrix using UIAPI - the only way is to add a userdefined field
