  • How to put Azure blob Storage service off-line

    I am doing a migration and like to make sure Azure Storage service is off-line to make sure no content is pointing to this account before deleting exiting Storage account.
    Please help.

    Hi,
    As far as I know, this is not support now.
    If you met the issue such as "Storage account **************** has 1 container(s) which have an active image and/or disk artifacts." when delete azure storage, please go to Virtual Machines -> “Disks” or “Images” tab -> select the images/disks
    that you have located in the Storage Account you want to delete -> then hit the “Delete disk” or “delete image” command. Back these up if you need before hitting the delete.

  • Generic Service error in HCM Processes and Forms

    Hi ,
    I have created generic services and they are working fine in the Development system .But when it is moved to testing system , all the services are active. But it still reports that the none of the generic services including the standard SAP delivered generic services are inactive.
    Did anyone face this problem ? How to resolve this issue , any help in this regard would really be helpful.
    Thanks,
    Saujanya

    I have resolved the issue by regenerating the generic services.

    With just these generic error messages being present, this has been difficult to diagnose. Some research has yielded possible resolutions of the Event Viewer log being full, .NET corruption, missing registry entries, but none of those seem to be the issue
    (Event Viewer logs cleared, Analysis services is working on the same physical servers in a different cluster, and the registry entries was only a supported issue for SQL Server 2008 and 2008 R2).
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Bring up Configuration Manager, look at binary path for SSAS.  Make sure BOTH folders exist.  Sometimes with failovers mappings get screwed up.

  • WWW service is not able to start via Microsoft Failover Cluster generic service resource

    Environment
    Cluster Nodes = two
    Cluster Nodes OS = Windows 2008R2
    Application = IIS
    Query
    I created generic service resources of many windows services under Microsoft Failover Cluster and they are failing over successfully but when I create a generic service resource for WWW, then the WWW service is not able to online
    via Microsoft Failover Cluster. It stuck in online pending.
    I have noticed two things.
    1.) If the WWW service is set to manual and started at passive node and I manually restart the Active node then the WWW service successfully switch over to stand by/passive node. but if the WWW service is set to
    manual and not started on stand by/Passive node then the WWW service is not failing over.
    2.) if I kill the WWW service manually (as a test case) on Active Node via this command (taskkill /f /pid XXXX) then the WWW service failed and is not failing
    over to standby/passive node.
    Any comment will be appreciated. Thanks. Zahid Haseeb.

    The problem is resolved. I feel that it will be helpful to other people who may face the same problem which I faced, so I wrote a blog on "How to configure IIS Web Site and Application Pool in Microsoft Failover Cluster" and mentioned almost all activities
    which I have done. Kindly see the resolution under section "Configure some changes in Cluster Configuration" in the below link

  • How can I use an WebDynpro application off line?

    : Hello,
    I am developing a normal WebDynpro application to publish on my portal.  I would also like to use this app on my mobile engine (so I can use it off line) . What do I need to change of my WebDynpro application for it to work in the mobile client? The MC comes with tom cat light is there a way to deploy de webDynpro libraries for tom cat ?
    Any help is great help
    I am using :
    WebAS 640 sp 9
    MI 2.5 sp 9
    Windows 2000 + mobile client
    Thank you in advance,
    Guy

    Hello Guy,
    I am afraid that Gregor is right: WebDynPro is a complete online solution and has neither the aim nor the ability to become available offline. Ms Karin Schattka (SAP Product Manager WebDynPro) stated this very clearly in her TechEd04 presentation, which is available in SDN as well.
    To employ offline applications you can choose from the Mobile Business Solutions portfolio that SAP offers for it's "Mobile Infrastructure" which is part of Netweaver 04 and later. Several applications are available, such as Sales, CRM, AssetMgmt and Mobile Time and Travel.
    If nothing fits your needs you can develop your own applications using the MI framework. These are the options you have but unfortunately they have nothing to do with WebDynPro and No, there is no way to generically take Netweaver Portal content offline, as the portal (like WebDynPro technology) follows an online-only strategy.
    Best regards,
    Tim

  • Strange Lookup Error (SAP Resource Adapter)

    Hi all,
    I received a quite stange error (Below you can see the relavent part of the logfile).
    While the first attempt to get the ConnectionFactory of the SAP JRA succeeds, the second one fails. As you can see,  context and parameters of the lookup are exactly the same. Does anybody has experiences with this problem?

    Hi Vladimir,
    First of all, thanks a lot for your answer.
    I'm sure the application was not restarted or redeployed (as only about one minute has passed between the two attempts). During the processing of our application, this resource adapter (and the class that calls it) is used two times.
    I searched the JNDI tree as you recommended and found:
    * ejbContexts [Context]
        * t-systems.com [Context]
          * Integrationkernel [Context]
            * sap [Context]
              * generic [Context]
                * SAPGenericEJB [Context]
                  * java:comp [Context]
                    ORB
                    HandleDelegate
                    UserTransaction
                    * env [Context]
                      SAPJCA
    As I am only migrating this application, I just had a deeper look into method calls.
    The application consists of a web app which calls ejbs. The EJBs in turn are just Wrapper for the so called BusinessObjects (Beans). In the first attempt the SAPGenericEJB calls the SAPGenericBO which does the lookup. In the second attempt, the SAPGenericBO is called directly from a workflow-engine. Could it be, that this causes the problem? If so, what can I do? Define the resource reference in the WF-Module too? Thanks...

    Ran Connection Doctor and got red lights on all 4 of my mail accounts (iCloud, 2x verizon addresses, and a work email address)
    Checked all the settings and as far as I can figure, the are what I have been using.
    EXCEPT......when I open the EDIT OUTGOING SERVER area of the Mail preferenced for my iCloud account, it choses my work account server. I re-set and save it. But it's right back to the wrong server when I go back to check. WHAT"S UP with that??????
    Anybody have any insights into this problem?
    Yes, I can get my email on the individual websites, but that means signing on and off of 4 websites every 15 minutes or so. Not gonna work.
    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Hello Snappi,
    Thank you for all the information you provided about what is going on with Mail on all your Apple Devices.  I found an article with steps that I think might help.
    I recommend reviewing the article, but I found some steps that sound like they apply specifically to what you are experiencing in the section titled "Mail Connection Doctor shows one or more red dots in the account Status column>Click here if your Incoming and Outgoing email account settings are correct, but the issue persists>Click here if a 'Could not connect to this (server type) server…' message appears":
    Click here if a "Could not connect to this (server type) server…" message appears
    Check for third-party firewall software
    Third-party firewall software, such as Little Snitch or Symantec Norton Personal Firewall, could be blocking the necessary ports. If such software is installed, make sure the firewall is not blocking these ports:
    ports 25, 465, and 587 (for sending email via SMTP)
    ports 143 and 993 (if you use IMAP email)
    ports 110 and 995 (if you use POP email)
    If you're not sure how to enable the correct ports, try disabling the third-party firewall completely, then test for the Mail issue. Note: The Mac OS X v10.6 firewall does not interfere with ports needed to send email.
    Check for Internet Service Provider port blockingYour Internet Service Provider may be blocking the SMTP ports needed to send email.You can use Apple's MobileMe service to find out if your Internet Service Provider is blocking the sending email protocol SMTP:
    Open Network Utility in the Utilities folder—in Finder, choose Go > Utilities (or press Shift-Command-U).
    Click the "Port Scan" tab.
    Enter "smtp.me.com" in the "Enter an Internet or IP address to scan for open ports" field.
    Enable "Only test ports between _ and _", and enter 25 for both port fields.
    Click "Scan" to test.
    If you do not see "Open TCP Port: 25 smtp", contact your Internet Service Provider or visit their support website for further assistance. If you do see "Open TCP Port: 25 smtp", your Internet Service Provider is not blocking the SMTP ports needed to send email. Go to the "'Trying to log in to this (email server provider name) account failed…' message or any other error message appears" section below if the email issue persists.

  • Can't print to lexmark model X5470 printer. Get knocked off line when I try to print a document.

    Anytime I try to print a document using Lexmark model X5470, i.e. boarding passes from Delta.com, or any other web site, I get knocked off line.
    However; I can print the same items when on Internet Explorer, Safari, and Google Chrome with no problems.'''
    I have an HP deskjet that works fine on Mozilla, but the Lexmark X5470 will not print from Firefox. It will; however, print a PDF document from Mozilla.

    This may be a printer driver issue. I recommended first connect printer directly to computer and check for Software Updates, this will tell you if you have any printer updates.
    If you are using a Mac computer follow troubleshooting steps in HT3500
    (Basically, navigate to Print & Scan in System Preferences and right-click or control-click on printer from left and choose Reset Printing System, then re-add preferred printer.)
    If you are using a Windows computer download and install Bonjour Print Services DL999

I did na dit will not allow me to use the password and continues to ask me to use the last password to access the desktop. My password was 4 digit numerical. Very Simple.
    I thought of doing a system recovery and unable to to do anything without the desktop. I can't seem to find in setup to a way to change the boot process to boot from a CD.

    Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.
    I have read your post on how your desktop computer indicates that it is offline, and to use the last password you used. I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
    To successfully log back into Windows, I recommend following the steps in this document on What to do when you forget your sign-in password (Windows 8). This should help recover the password on your system.
    Should the problem continue, I suggest performing a backup and recovery of your operating system. This can be done by following the steps in this resource on Backing Up Your Files (Windows 8), as well as Performing an HP system recovery (Windows 8). This should return your system back to factory defaults.

  • Tables off line/alignment-please help!

    I've been working on this problem for a week now and just
    can't seem to figure it out. I used a dw template and created a
    table with scrolling text in the middle cell. The site looks great
    in Firefox and Safari, but i've gotten feedback from people using
    IE that the tables are "off line." When I looked for myself, sure
    enough, the table seemed to be part of the preceeding paragraph,
    and off line, causing part of the table to appear off the page.
    What am I doing wrong?
    http://www.cyaasports.org/home.html

    Your menu is still broken. In Internet Explorer, go to the
    Advanced
    Internet Options, and enable the option to display a
    notification about
    every javascript error. Now try to use your page....
    You have deleted the javascript at the bottom of the page
    that is required
    to set up the menus. I'm not optimistic.
    <script type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    var menuitem1 = new menu(7,1,"hidden");
    var menuitem2 = new menu(7,2,"hidden");
    var menuitem3 = new menu(7,3,"hidden");
    var menuitem4 = new menu(7,4,"hidden");
    var menuitem5 = new menu(7,5,"hidden");
    var menuitem6 = new menu(7,6,"hidden");
    var menuitem7 = new menu(7,7,"hidden");
    // -->
    </script>
    Without that, your menu cannot work at all, in addition to
    throwing the
    continuous js errors.
    What's blowing the page out, I believe, is this table -
    <table width="101%" height="312" border="1"
    cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"
    bordercolor="1" summary="">
    Try dropping its width to something more reasonable.

    You have to be a bit careful using that function. If you look, the first thing it does is to check WHICH framework to use (old or new)...and oddly, for for infotypes 0000,0001,0003,0031 and 200n, it ALWAYS forces it to use the old framework. (ugg!)
    As said above, for HCM P&F, you should be using the DCIF, so make sure you know which infotypes you need to "touch" before using the function over the decoupled IT/buffer container class handling.
    Lastly, why are you trying to do this for IT0000 anyways? The framework does this for you automatically when you assign MASSN and MASSG (SAP_PA picks those up as "special fields" and creates the IT0000 for you). If you need to manipulate the values for action and action reason, use a simple generic service to set/assign the fields and still let the framework handle it automatically for you in SAP_PA.
    oh! ....and TCLAS and DIALOG_MODE are not optional parameters of the function.
