SAP Sales and Support

Our Procurement team has been working to renew our SAP BPC contract for going on a year.  Our current contacts have been non-responsive, and we now have an incorrect invoice we need to have corrected based on an updated contract before we can submit payment.  We are searching other avenues to try and get someone to respond to our requests to finalize our new contract and make our payment.
I hate to put this question out this way, but the response to repeated requests to resolve outstanding issues and questions has been non-existent.  We would appreciate it if we could get a contact in the sales/contracting department who is willing to respond to questions and resolve issues.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    If i create the two RFC connection manually ( SAP-OSS and SAP-OSS-LIST-O01 ) then when I returned to SPRO to make the "initial configuration part II " this tell me that there is an error in basis configuration.
    How can I solve this problem ?

    markus , this is the first step i made after the installation of Sol Manager : this step have created the RFC   SAPOSS ( and is working ).

    I am speaking about solution manager , that in basic configuration try to create the other RFC.
    yes - I´m aware of that.
    I would update to the latest service pack first (SP17 or SP18) before you start with the confiugration. The new SPs have much better wizards. SP12 is pretty old already.

    Although I'm not familiar with the exportability of MATRIXx, I assume foreign sales are permitted (and encouraged). If I work with a foreign customer, to whom in NI should I direct their questions about pricing, planned development, and support?

  • Functional  Specification Documents for SAP Sales and Distribution

    Dear Gurus,
    I am having the problems of Invoice Output..... the default out put generated by the SAP is completely different from the hard copy of the Invoice of the Client. ppl say that I have 2 take the help of ABAPers to define the smart forms for the invoices of different company codes.... i had conversation with the ABAPers.... butthey are  asking the format, wht ever the change we are  looking for..... I am not be able to get the exact format.... how 2 provide this to ABAPers in FS format.
    can any one pls send me ( or provide me the link to download the same from the SDN website) these Functional Specification Documents for Sales and distribution.

    Hi there,
    1st try to understand what is a functional specification doc before asking for it.
    Functional specs is a doc in which you include what is the business requirement. If it requires a change to change to existing configs / code, then you will give the progs & the location where you will need to change. If the requirement is a totally new one, then yuo will explain the requirement in detail & possibly give the progs / code if there are any.
    In your case, your client has a specific invoice format which is different from which SAP gives, in such cases, you will need to define a new Invoice output for eg ZINV. Define it as a print output. You will need to define a new print prog for the new output in which you will call smart forms to define the layout & fields.
    Ask your business user to send the invoice copy which he has. Scan it & include it in the functional specs which you prepare. Mention all the fields which you want in the layout. Ask the ABAPer to code the invoice format in the same way. ABAPer is free to define any convinent name as per the guidelines (which he will be aware). You will need to assign that in the form routines of the output.
    As a functional consultant you will need to give the field mappings (from where you get the data) for all the fields which you wish to print in the output. All that should be included in the func specs.
    So there is no standard func specs that you can follow. Each func specs varies on the requirement. So dont ask these kind of questions in SDN forum. If you dont know how to define func specs, ask how to define. Dont ask people to send the sample func specs. Thats against the rules of conduct.

    We have a material, which is stored at particular plant in particular storage location.
      but, I'm unable to get the storage location at Sales Order level.
    Can u plz clarify me regarding this.

    See after you enter the material in sales order, goto shipping tab of item which is the place where you
    can see the storage location, click F4 on the field & you will see the locations where the material is maintained.
    Even now if you cant see any location it means there is some problem with the assigment of storage location to plant.
    Please check your configuration for this.

    Reset the device:

    We are newly implanting the project to the mobile Manfaturing Company. Our Clint is going for are looking to implement the CIC interaction center win Clint and the Sales modules of CRM .
    We have some 3rd parry raw data with us with that raw data we are calling to the customers and we want create the opportunity in the CIC after that we will convert the opportunity as a sales with our other sales people. After  that  they will sale that product to that customers.
    We have the back end of the R/3 SD, MM modules implemented for Clint.
    Now 1) I want to know after implementation what are the major issues will come in the project normally for the conman  Sales and CIC Win Clint projects kindly give the some  issues normally come  and solutions  for the problems also.
    My motto is that if I know the issues I can make preparation  for that conman issues and I will make my project with good effective and smooth running ..

    hi prakesh,
    firstly, cic winclient is an older version and obsolete so its better to implement the new crm version.
    secondly, in any case if you want to implement, then your 3rd party raw data has to be mapped with the SAP system which could be a problem. Middleware could be a lot of effort. Rest all depends on how much customization you need for your business requirement in cic and sales. In case you are implementing standard functionality mostly then no major complications are expected otherwise lot of development effort may be required.

    We are an end user industry of materials and services - Refining.  We are also using SAP - 4.6C platform.  What are others in the SAP environment doing to address proper taxing assignment to purchased materials and services in the great state of Texas? As you may be aware the Texas State Sales and Use tax rules are probably the most difficult to understand and comply with that exist. I am embarking on developing a custom solution to automatically assign the proper tax code on purchase orders depending on key indicators associated with maintenance orders and material groups, etc.

    The Sales and Use tax code assignment can be handled at the creation of the purchase order for plan purchases of goods and services, and at the accounts payable level when the invoice is process.  At each step the necessary tax code must be populated on the jurisdiction field.

    SAP MI apps are aimed at PDAs while CRM Mobile Sales is aimed (and can only work with) at laptops.
    PDA solutions are mostly used by sales agents while the laptop solution is more suitable to account managers. The laptop has much more information available that includes:
    - Marketing planning and execution capabilities
    - Account Planning
    - BW Reporting
    Mobile Sales for PDAs has more basic functionalities like order & activity management and business partner data maintenance (which are also included in the laptop version).

I enquired about SAP courses in authorised SAP centres and they suggested me to go with SAP SD module. I am not sure whether SAP SD will suits to me as it deals with hard core products, but my sales and marketing experience in based on Concept selling. As a marketing guy i have good understanding and knowledge of sales and product life cycle. I have done MCA in 2004, but all experience is into BFSI domain. Now i want to shift into IT. Whether i can take up SAP SD and make a career in it.?.Seeking proper guidance from experts.

    Hi Ramesh,
    You can try to IS-Insurance to suit your domain experience.  However, if you look at major SAP Implemented insurance companies adopted SAP ERP and custom according to their need.  So, getting a breakthrough in this IS solution would be very hard.
    Again, if I come back to your question on BFSI point domain experience.  I have my friend who worked in Top 5 BFSI company in India who transitioned his career in SAP SD (studied in SAP Authorized institute and got a job through campus in CMM Level 5 company) because he has BE + MBA.  This story was happened 8 years back.  But I don't know the current trend in India. 
    SAP SD is best and it will suit as I saw already a guy went through the same path.  Also, check SAP CRM Sales or Service.
    You can wait for other members comments who may be transitioned from BFSI sector to SAP to give  some ideas.

    PS: Any Addon that can work on  B1 SDK 2005A, should be able to work on B1 2005B also, but there might be some specific localization scenarios that need to be taken care off. For that I would recommend you either to contact the manufacturer of the Addon or you can also create the Addon yourself.

    Hi,
    I dont think you will get the standard template somewhere in the web. However if you have the licensed version for your company, your PM or ur Client can request SAP for the templates of ASAP methodology. If this is done, it is easy to get from them.
    However, you dont need to rely on the standard te mplate prescribed by ASAP. You can always design your own template as decided by the Client and the organisation and how the Change Management is enabled. This template can be universally adopted for all changes in the system.
