SIS is nothing but sales info system.
we are executing VA05 it fectches some data why it is fetching bcos of SIS configuration.
detailed SIS configuration is given below.
    Standard SAP SD Reports:=
    Statistic Group:
Purpose – To capture data for Standard Reports, we require to activate Statistic Group as under:
    --> Item category (Configuration)
    --> Sales document type (Configuration)
--> Customer (Maintain in Master data)
--> Material (Maintain in Master data)
When you generate statistics in the logistics information system, the system uses the combination of specified statistics groups to determine the appropriate update sequence. The update sequence in turn determines for exactly which fields the statistics are generated.
    Configuration:
IMG --> Logistics Information System (LIS) --> Logistics Data Warehouse --> Updating --> Updating Control --> Settings: Sales --> Statistics Groups -->
    1. Maintain Statistics Groups for Customers
    2. Maintain Statistics Groups for Material
    3. Maintain Statistics Groups for Sales Documents
    4. Assign Statistics Groups for Each Sales Document Type
    5. Assign Statistics Groups for each Sales Document Item Type .....
All Standard Reports which are available are as under:
SAP Easy Access: Information Systems -> Logistics -> Sales and distribution ->
    1. Customer -> Incoming orders / Returns / Sales / Credit memos / Sales activities / Customer master / Conditions / Credit Master Sheet
    2. Material -> Incoming orders / Returns / Sales / Credit memos / Material master / ...
    3. Sales organization -> Sales organization / Sales office / Sales employee
    4. Shipping point -> Deliveries / Returns
    5. SD documents -> Orders / Deliveries / Billing documents ...
    & so on.

  • Cannot open cmc sap authentication - role and alias update failing

I have two business objects environments. For two of them I am failing to login to a specific part of CMC.
I want to go to Authentication tab, SAP authentication. The  page is not opening.
I have on both environments 500.000 + Failed jobs. (settings - view global system metrics).
I have the feeling my CRYSTAL user account's password has expired and the 500k+ failed schedules are due to the scheduled update of roles and aliases which is failing.
Can anybody tell me how to cleanup these 500k events, and hopefully being able to access my sap authentication again (and update the password for crystal user? They cannot be deleted from instance manager.
    Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Dear Seb. I tried. No result. Let me share some screenshots to desribe my issue.
what did I also try: redeploying BOE webapplication. Without success.
My question is: how do I remove these failed instances from the system? Because I think that is a start of the solution.
.. the admintoos entry (from upgrade management tool) was still increasing... It runs awfully long.

  • Synchronous and Asynchronous updating in LIS

    Dear experts
    What is the difference between
Synchronous and Asynchronous updating in LIS ?
There are three radio buttons for ASYNCHRONOUS UPDATING [1],[2],[3]
What is the significanse of each of them?
    Regards
    Siddharth

    Hi siddarth
Difference between synchronous update & asynchronous update
Synchronous update -Immediate start, i.e., when an event takes place that triggers an update
Asynchronous update - Delayed start, i.e., updating is slightly delayed after an event that triggers an update

  • SAP List of Supported SQL Server Service Packs and Cumulative Updates

Does SAP provide a list of SQL Server Service Packs and Cumulative Updates that will work with BPC 7.0 and 7.5? I see that CU 12 is out for SP1 and CU 2 is out for SP2. I would like to know if I can move the SP2 CU2 or SP1 CU12. My install docs are outdated specifying SP1 CU6.
    Any direction is appreciated.
    Joe

    Hi,
Please take a look at the below list of the supported OS: This excerpt is from the installation guide.
SP04 or later: Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard or Enterprise Edition with or without Hyper-V
Windows Server 2008 Standard or Enterprise Edition with or without Hyper-V, or
Windows Server 2008 Data Center with or without Hyper-V
Windows Server 2003 Standard or Enterprise Edition SP2
Windows Server 2003 Standard configured on the SQL database or OLAP server components only
Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard or Enterprise Edition SP2
SAP recommends using Windows Server 2008 64 bit over Windows Server 2003 64 bit. Otherwise, supportability is limited.
I am not sure what did you mean by the front end. Having said that, 32 bit is supported both on the server and the client machines.
    Hope this helps.

  • ADOBE Forms attachment to SAP object (Order) and updating it

    Hi,
    I have the following scenario:
I need to attach a PDF document to a PM order. This can be achieved using the standard feature of attaching documents to SAP Objects. The requirement is to open the same attached document and update it by entering some information ( for example checking some check boxes) . After updating the document, it is again attached back to the PM order.
I would like to know if I can use Adobe forms in this scenario to:
    - Design the PDF as per customer requirement
    - Make changes in the PDF. (Please note that this data is not saved in any SAP application database)
    - Attach the updated PDF again to the PM order
    Thanks,

How to do basic LO extraction for SAP-R3-BW
    1. Go to transaction code RSA3 and see if any data is available related to your DataSource. If data is there in RSA3 then go to transaction code LBWG (Delete Setup data) and delete the data by entering the application name.
    2. Go to transaction SBIW --> Settings for Application Specific Datasource --> Logistics --> Managing extract structures --> Initialization --> Filling the Setup table --> Application specific setup of statistical data --> perform setup (relevant application)
    3. In OLI*** (for example OLI7BW for Statistical setup for old documents : Orders) give the name of the run and execute. Now all the available records from R/3 will be loaded to setup tables.
    4. Go to transaction RSA3 and check the data.
    5. Go to transaction LBWE and make sure the update mode for the corresponding DataSource is serialized V3 update.
    6. Go to BW system and create infopackage and under the update tab select the initialize delta process. And schedule the package. Now all the data available in the setup tables are now loaded into the data target.
7.Now for the delta records go to LBWE in R/3 and change the update mode for the corresponding DataSource to Direct/Queue delta. By doing this record will bypass SM13 and directly go to RSA7. Go to transaction code RSA7 there you can see green light # Once the new records are added immediately you can see the record in RSA7.
8.Go to BW system and create a new infopackage for delta loads. Double click on new infopackage. Under update tab you can see the delta update radio button.
9.Now you can go to your data target and see the delta record.
find your scenario and find what data sources do you need on R3 side and ensure they are active as well:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/37/5fb13cd0500255e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
find your scenario -> data sources -> go to R3 -> sbiw and activate required data source
    replicate data sources in BW:
RSA1 -> source systems -> right click on your source system -> replicate
    then activate your BC:
service.sap.com/bi -> BI Business Content -> General Information -> SAP BW Business Content - Activation
and execute infopackage (it should be delivered with BC)

  • Can anyone explain briefly  What is LIS and LO?

    hai sapbw-gurus,
Can anyone explain briefly  What is LIS and LO?
what is the different b/w LIS and LO?
how u will create these two in sap bw?

    hi,
LIS is old technique through which we can load the data. Here we use typical delta and full up-loading techniques to get data from an logistics application, it uses V1 and V2 update, it means that it was a synchronous or asynchronous update from the application documents to LIS structures at the time when the application document was posted.
LO Cockpit is new technique i think from bw 3.0 ( i am not sure) which uses V3 which is an update that you can schedule, so it does not update at the time when you process the application documents, but it will be posted at a later stage.
Another big difference between LO and LIS is that,
You have separate datasources for header level, item level and schedule line level available in LO, you can choose at which level you want to extract your data and switch off others, which results in reduced data.
we do not have this flexibility with LIS structures
with Plug-In 2001.2 S2xx-Structures have been replaced by Logistics Extraction Cockpit. However, R/3 releases 4.x support S2xx-Structures and Logistics Extraction Cockpit in parallel.
With new LBWE extractors there are a lot of benefits:
    - Detailed Extraction: extraction can be deactivated (e.g. Schedule Line Data) leads to leaner extractors with less volume.
Document Changes: only BW-relevant data changes will be updated (less upload volume).
    - LIS-Tables are not updated reduced data volume due to avoided redundancy.
    - Update with Batch-Process (V3) -> no load on daily business (but now there are available different delta methods as the direct delta...)
    - No LIS-Know How necessary.
    - Functional Enhancements easy to be done.
    - Central, uniform maintenance tool for logistics applications (LBWE)
    - No Delta-Tables (SnnnBIW1/-2) no double update, no double Data-Storage
    - A lot of flows are covered: Purchasing,Inventory Controlling, Shop Floor Control, Quality Management, Shipment, Sales, Shipping, Billing, Plant Maintenance, Customer Service, Retailing....

  • Lis deliveries not updating

i have configured lis and created new info structure for deliveries s502 but in that structure data is not getting uploded
Please tell me what all the possible reasons for this
    Thanks n regards
    Siri

    Hi Siri,
Try using OMO1 for updating control of SIS.
After this, if you are trying to view the old data then u need to populate the old data using few transaction.
To populate old data in the newly created SIS Structure use transactions, OLI7, OLI8 & OLI9.
    Hope this resolves your issue.

  • V1 and v2 updates

    hI,
What are the v1 and v2 updates. how do you call
    UPDATE FUNCTION MODULE.
    regards
    ram.

V1 and V2 are workprocesses in which corresponding update bundles (by using calls to corresponding update FMs) are executed.
V1 is for primary updates (like txnl tables) while V2 is used for secondary (eg statistical LIS) updates.
You call an update FM in such task with
"call function '  ' in update task ..."

  • Need to clear concepts in V1,V2 and V3 updates. see the scenarios

please refer to this thread and help.....
want to know whether my concepts about V1,V2 and V3 are correct or not

    Hi John,
When we extract data from SAP using LIS, we can use V1 or V2 update. In LO extraction, we use V3 update.  In most of the business scenarios, Only LO extractors are used and no LIS. As you asked,
    V1 - Synchronous update
    V2 - Assynchronous update
    and
    V3 - Assynchronous Background
We can schedule a periodic job for V3 update which runs in background without user interaction.

  • SAP ECC6 memory and paging issues

    Dear Experts
I have recently upgraded my 4.6C systems to an ECC 6 system (DB2 LUW 9.5 on AIX 5.3 TL9 64 Bit OS)
I have been running the LPAR with 14 GB of memory and we are around 100-200+ users using the system, I was monitoring using nmon and found that Physical Memory was around 99.8% Used   (14311.8MB and 22.6MB was free) also the paging space was around 37.2% in result causing the system at times to run slow which can have a very negative effect on the users.
After further investigation I found that after a system restart the Physical Memory would start around 50.9% and increased at a steady pace until it reached 99.8% that is when the system would start using the paging space which would steadily increase, I found that the only solution was a system restart at least once a week to reduce the memory consumption.
At first glance it looked like a database manger memory leak with the process db2sysc, so I searched the net with the search words u201Cdb2 memory leaku201D and found the following APARs and notes.
APAR JR30285 - Pervasive memory leak when compiling SQL statements that use SQL/XML functions
APAR IZ35230 - There is a pervasive unix-specific private memory leak in the security component
    Note 1288341 - Memory leak in APPLHEAPSZ -> SQL0954C
Note 1352361 - Memory leak in shared memory area abrfci
Note 1147821 - DB6: Known Errors and available Fixes in DB2 9.5 LUW
After reading the notes and APARs I decided to updated DB2 to the latest fix pack (5SAP), but after the fix pack was implemented it did not solve the memory problem
I started look at different problems with SAP ECC6, db2 and AIX with paging/memory problems and I found the following notes to do with AIX memory and paging but none of them helped as all parameters and settings were set accordingly
789477 - Large extended memory on AIX (64-bit) as of Kernel 6.20
191801 - AIX 64-bit with very large amount of Extended Memory
973227 - AIX Virtual Memory Management: Tuning Recommendations

1121904 u2013 SAP on AIX: Recommendations for Paging
