  • Uploading an XML file from SAP into third party URL

    Hi,
I need to Upload an XML file from sap into Third party URL. Can any body tell me the possible ways in SAP to achieve this task. Also explain me the proceedure.
    Thanks in advance.
    -Namdev

Sorry. If they only said HTTP/HTTPS and didn't say explicitly web service, it means they don't want it.
One thing I'm not sure is, do you have an URL at the third-party system that you need to contact, or should you provide one at your SAP system that they will contact?
If it is the first one, to send an HTTP request to a given URL using ABAP, you'll find an example here: [SAP Library: Example Program: Executing an HTTP Request|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/1f/93163f9959a808e10000000a114084/frameset.htm]

  • Integration between SAP and third party tax software

can some body explain me or provide me docs regarding integration between sap and third party tax software like vertex.
    Thanks

    Hi
First configure the same via the following menu path:
    1.) IMG>Financial accounting>Financial accounting global settings>Taxes on sales/purchases>Basic settings>External tax calculation>Define physical destination
2.) Then test connection (option is available there).
3.) If the connection is successful, also verify that the external tax package installed supports the R/3 4.6 version of the API. You do that by going to:
    System Information>Function List
Check if the following functions are listed:
    • RFC_CALCULATE_TAXES_DOC
    • RFC_UPDATE_TAXES_DOC
    • RFC_FORCE_TAXES_DOC
    • RFC_DETERMINE_JURISDICTION
4.) Then test the tax data retrieval:
From SE37, select the relevant function modules like RFC_DETERMINE_JURISDICTION.
The above 4 steps are necessary to satisfy that the RFC connection is established
    Hope useful

  • Integration between SAP and Third Party without PI in between

    Hi All,
We have a requirement where in we need to integrate SAP and a Third Party Product without PI in between. The third party product is exposing their Web services as API.
So, we have an idea of exposing our RFC/BAPI as web service ,so that it can call/consume the third party web services. On these lines I have a couple of doubts,
1.How will the monitoring of message be done?Is there any Tcode to monitor the RFC exposed Web services?
2.What would be the advantages and disadvatages of this approach?
    Thanks.
    Venu

Well taking out PI will 'exclude' advantages like able to monitor the messages, resending messages, error handling etc.

  • Number of remote RFC connections to SAP from third party application

    Hi All,
We are using an external application which is using the JCO API to make a connection to the SAP server to pass invoices. But the connections are note properly closed after invoking the RFCs and SAP seems to be not able to handle further requests once the numer  of connections reach the maximum limit.
Could you tell whether there is a max limit on the number of connections opened to SAP from remote function calls from a third party product?
Is there anyway by which we can make sure that connections are properly closed in SAP after the each remote call?
Thanks in advance for your pointers.
    Regards
    Arun

    Dear Arun,
Here are the parameter settings which you can do to set up RFC connections to SAP servers.

  • SAP Graphics + third party software

    Hi,
We want to use a third-party software www.cardfive.com for printing employee cards. I think it would be simple to get the data from SAP tables. What i would like to know is how to get the images (uploaded via SE78) into cardfive. Will they be in binary form? Which table is this information stored in?
I searched previous posts of similar topics but could not find a clear solution.
    Thanks and regards,
    Zubair

Thanks Raja, the function module works. Now I have to make the return value (binary) available to the thirdparty software. Is it possible to do this through a view? i.e., is it possible to add a field in the view for which i can call this function module.
The other option i was trying is to save the return value in a custom table (infotype). I added a field (BINIMG) in the table and called the function SAPSCRIPT_GET_GRAPHIC_BDS
in the module pool of the infotype. But i get the following error:
<The type of "L_CONTENT" cannot be converted to the type of "PA9201-BINIMG">
What type should this field be in order to be able to store the return value from the function? I tried component type SDOK_SDATX but then table gives an activation error:
<Field BINIMG (Length >255 for RAW only allowed for non-DB tables)>
    Any suggestions?

  • Commitment Interface from SAP to third party system!

When we created Purchase Requisition or Purchase Order, the commitment will be created. The third party system needs to track the commitment. So SAP needs to send the commitment to the third party system by this interface.
But when the Goods have been delivered, the commitment will be zero out and the actual will be posted to SAP. SAP needs to send the offsetting records to the third party system. In this way, the third party systems knows that how much commitments have been reduced.
My problem is that I cannot find the right table to record the offsetting entry. In the table COSP, I can identify the commitment by the Business Transaction -- RMBA and RMBE. But it did not record the offsetting entry. It just becomes zero when the goods have been delivered. But I have nothing from that table to send to the third party system.
Does anyone meet this problem before? Can you share some experience on this?
    Thanks

    Hi ,
As pointed ...above you can for a file to file scenario you can create just the Business service in integration Directory and create two file communication channels for sender and reciever  under it.
However if it was file to idoc or file to rfc ..
then you need create ts web as abap ..identifying your R/3 system
System Name: <you can give a 3 character id here of r/3 system ...i.e like IDS>
System Home : <can be found in status of R/3 system>
Installtion Number : In transaction Slicense in R/3
Host Name : Same as System home can be specified.
Message Server: <3600+instance Number can be found in the log pad to the r/3 system itself >
associate a bussiness system with this ...create a product and a software component version ...In swcv in respository ..develop your object under it ...
Import this business system in Configuration ..and create your communication chanel under it.

  • RFC or BAPI to get  ECC CST LST  from SAP to third party

    Hi Friends,
I want to find out RFC or BAPI to get ECC,CST and LST No. number from SAP system to third party software accourding to Ship to party. Please healp me.

    Hi,
Thanks very much for your answer. In fact, table UVERS is empty both on SAP Wharehouse server and Netweaver, but you put me on the right way...
I finally found that table CVERS_REF was enough, but I don't have the version of the component like in the status window...
I doubt also I'm right using the RFC_READ_TABLE, but I don't know yet if a BAPI exists for what I'm looking for.

  • Send  PDF, EXCEL, MS Word from SAP to third party

    Hi All,
My requirement is we have to upload docs from PC and send to third party system.
Now my doubt is how can we upload  the docs like  PDF , Excel, MS Word etc from PC to sap and send it to third party.

    Hi Prabhudas,
    Thanks for your inputs.
    I have one more doubt.
If you open any delivery  in VL03N  transaction just below the Menu bar there is button called 'Services for Object'. using this we can attach any document to this Delivery.
Is there any way to attach this newly uploaded document using some Z program (referring tcode  CG3Z ) to this delivery.

  • SAP compatible third party software for fingerprint verification

    Hi all,
    I need some technical advice.
Has anyone implemented fingerprint verification into SAP before?
    This is my scenaro:
When a PR document is created, a custom workflow is triggered.
This custom workflow will send the work item to the approver's SAP inbox for approval.
When the approver approves the PR in the SAP inbox, there needs to be a popup/software window to obtain the approver's fingerprint and verify it against the fingerprint stored in it's database.
Is there any 3rd party software out there with the above mentioned capability which can interface/communicate with SAP?
    Thanks a lot in advanced.

  • Documents stored in SAP or third party (open text)

    Hi,
Please point me to the right forum if this is not the correct place to ask this type of question.  Also, please forgive my ignorance as I am new to BDN.  I have searched the forums and SAP help and cannot find my answers.
    1.  Where are documents stored when using transaction OAER/OAOR?  SAP tables or 3rd party system?
    2.  Where would this be configured?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Best Regards,
    Rick

    Hi Rick,
Believe you have posted your thread in the right forum!!
    1. Where are documents stored when using transaction OAER/OAOR? SAP tables or 3rd party system?
    2. Where would this be configured?
The documents via Business Document Navigator(OAOR) can be stored either in
    SAP database(not recommended though) or
on a Content Server/3rd party system.
It all boils down to your expectations/requirements from the solution.
Further,Archivelink solution needs to be turned on/configured to enable these features.Pls search using Archivelink keyword on this forum for details.
