SAP SD. Will it be a good move?

Greetings!
I want to go for SAP SD certification and start my career as a SAP Consultant. But i have doubts about suitability of my profile for SD certification.
Following is my profile-
Graduation - BSc. Computer Science
Post Graduation - MBA (Marketing)
Work experience - 2 years in sales as a Business Development Officer at CRISIL LTD
Though i have full confidence in my calibre,biggest concern for me is placement as it will be a big Investment.
I have also heard from my friends and read on internet that market is saturated for SAP SD consultants. And for freshers chances of getting placed are less.
Also please suggest me best training institutes in Mumbai.
(i know there are many such posts on this forum so sorry but i really need your guidance folks )

Your friends may be right, as the market for SD is saturated, particularly when number of SD consultants are around. For that matter, most of the standard modules are coming to standstill, because of the reason the consultants are growing exponentially and opportunities are getting limited. Yes, there would still be opportunities, if you are an established consultant with skills in niche areas.
Nobody is able to suggest the best training institutes.

Posting a Goods Movement in SAP Retail Store

In SAP Retail Store, under Inventory Management>Goods Movement>Other Movement, when entering articles and quantities, if you want to use multiple Bus. trans. or Reason for Movmt. values, you have to post them separately. This requires you to post, exit out and then go back in and post again, etc.
Is there a way to post multiple Bus. trans. or Reason for Movmt. values on the same screen?

How you have HU in non HU managed location ??
If you want to move stock then use t code HU02 and create HU in non HU manged location mentioning destination location as HU managed .

SAP Standard report on Goods Movement

I am looking for a report that will give me all goods movements documents (eg goods receipt & issue) that a pecific user did on a specific date.

Check the report MB59 for the movement and user id and date combination.Say for eg you can check for
601,602,641,642,101,102,131,132,261,262,201 and 202 movement's for a specific date range.
Or else eneter T Code SAP1--->you can branch to material management or else to production planning to find the various
reports related to each Module.

Incorrect goods movements

0 successful and 1 incorrect goods movements
Message no. VLA019
System Response
The system reports back as incorrect only those goods movements that could not be carried out.
If the goods issue or goods receipt for one of the deliveries selected has already been posted by way of the subsequent function Post goods issue or Post goods receipt, the corresponding delivery will be reported back as successful.
Note that for partial goods receipt the posted items and not the posted deliveries are counted.

Refer SAP Note 416150 - VL06: Posting of goods movement in background terminates
Reason and Prerequisites
The problem is caused by a program error.
During background processing a batch input is used for the posting of the goods movement in the standard transactions for inbound or outbound delivery.
However, the batch input processing terminates if dialog boxes or warning messages are sent during the posting from delivery processing.
The termination occurs because no input parameters are provided in the used batch input session for the additional screens.
The problem can also occur during interactive processing when the process mode 'Foreground for error' is used.

when you are in Goods movement tab, Drag the coloums as required then
Extrem right you can find option Configuration button ( Small Button ) just click it
give the Variant name & save, so from next time same settings will appear

Goods Movement Qty While Confirming the Order

Hi Friends,
While confirming the order The end user Will go to the goods movement screen and enter the actual consumed Qty (When all BOM components Are marked with automatic Back flush) For the components with 261 movement type and will enter the storage location and batch no if required .
Now my requirement is the user should not have the access (it should be in gray) to the BOM Components qty to change
OR
He should not be able to change beyond the qty As per scrape % Given in Material Master or BOM.
The Reason for this is
Even When there is a shortage for BOM components in SL location, he is reducing/Adjusting the required quantities as per the existing Qty ( If there is no stock then making it to ZERO also) and confirming the order.
Pl suggest me is there any user Exit for this or can I do it thru Standard SPRO settings.

Hi,
You can make screen variant SHD0 for CO11N and hide it.
In t code SHD0, give the transaction variant name ( say ZCO11N )of ur std CO11n.
CO11N screen will appear, when u will save the variant, u will getgood movement tab , it will hide now.
Activate the transaction variant.

Production order goods movement issue

i am interested in issuing the materials to a production order at the creation stage.please specify any settings can be made for this. I want it to happen in specific plant only and not at global level.

Hi,
Normally system will not Allow any Goods Movement when the Order has CRTD status (Creation stage).
However u can overcome this by doing allowed Goods MVt for status at CRTD at BS22.
It will afftect all the Plants & order types globally ,
As i know your requirement is not possible .

you can display samples of movement types in WMS by going to IMG > Logistics Execution > Warehouse Management > Activities > Transfers > Define Movement Types.
for your second query, use LS24.

Default quantity of confirmation(co11) should allowed in goods movements mb

after confirming 10 pcs. partially of the order quantity say 50 pcs.(through co11)
i have to cary out the goods movement mb31 (101) for 10 pcs.
now, i put qtys. more than 10 pcs. & up to the 50 pcs the system will allowed
for the goods movements.
but i want restriction that the 10 pcs. confirmed qtys. only allowed for goods movement.
please tell me the solution for the same.i have not defined auto G.R. in control key & in production scheduling profile.please give alternative for these.

Can i cancel confirmation without goods movement?

when i cancel confirmation (co13) it will default auto reverse goods movement 102. but material are not in stock and then COGI will occur.
does anyone know any T-code to cancel confirmation without goods movement? because i want to cancel just activity.

If your are cancelling the operation which is having the the Control Key : PP03 (auto GR) then only system will try to reverse the Goods Movement (Movt Type 102)., And if the material is not in Stock (sloc) then system will through the Goods MOvt failure and same can be seen in COGI and COrrected later, once the stock comes in Sloc.
There is NO Seperate transaction for just cancelling the Operation (Activity) without reversing the Goods Movement. Even it is not logical to do so as it may show as Negative WIP for the Order.

Good Movement issue in SAP retail ITS

Hi All,
Business is posting goods movement using SAP retail store ITS. The document gets posted in SAP successfully but storage location is not coming correct for a movement type. We have checked the configuration and it is fine. We are not able to replicate the issue in test systems.
Kindly help us on how we can able to find a cause of this issue.

Hi John,
Retail Store Application is desinged in such a way that for the movement type,the default storage location for the destination plant is automatically taken.
But you can modify the code as per your requirments by implementing the given BAdI.
CALL METHOD exit_gr_field->CHECK_INPUT_GR_item
Modify the field for stroage location W_UMLGO .

From what you say, I understand that you already installed Windows 7 on a second volume. Is this correct?
In that case, it doesn't make sense to use VMware Fusion unless you want to run Windows and OS X at the same time. If you do that, you will keep all your data.
If you haven't installed Windows 7 and you want to install it in VMware Fusion, you will be installing it in a virtual machine, so you won't lose anything.
I recommend you to have a look at VirtualBox first > http://www.virtualbox.org It's free and it's sufficient for most of users

Confirmation of Production Order without all Goods Movements

Hello experts!
I've tried to do a confirmation of one material that had only one level BOM with one material, but, when I try to do the Goods Movement in CO15, only the component appears. To another materials the goods movements was done for the two materials.
I've changed routing, BOM, material record... but I didn't have success.
Any ideas?

You might have kept Backflashing Indicator -1 in MRP2 view and while doing CO15-In goods movement tab -You will find BOM compoenets with movement type -261 .But your requirement is to carry out the Auto GR-101 while confirmation posting .
Please do the following :
1.Goto -OPJK-Define Production Scheduling Profile -Here for that scheuling profile which have been assinged in Work Scheduling view -Mark the Auto GR active .
2.In the routing or in the Production Order -Operation Overview screen -Goto Operation Details -Slect the last operation -Assing the Operation Control Key which has Auto GR active like SAP Stanrda PP03 .Please check in OPJ8-Slect the Operation Control key -Hit the details information -Check the Auto GR Marked .Based on this while you will do CO15 , GR-101 (MIGO-101) will happen .
