Sap service fails after switching to the second node in HA system.

Hello all,
We have installed the HA mscs cluster installation for ECC6.0(my SAP erp 2005) system.The ASCS+SCS isntance and the DB instance are the failover resources.
When the ASCS+SCS(sap cluster group) fail over to the next node the service sap_<sid>_00 (ascs) and sap_<sid>_01(scs) fails to start automatically and we have to manually start the instance from the services console by giving the sapservice<sid> password to start the services.
when we try to start the service without giving the password then the system gives a message unable to start due to logon failure and after giving the password it shows that the user has been been granted to logon as a service user.
Pl help resolve this issue.

A change to the zpool_import() management of the zpool.cache file, as delivered by Solaris 10 kernel patches 137137-09 (for SPARC) or 137138-09 (for x86), might cause systems that have their shared ZFS (zfs(1M)) storage pools under the control of HAStoragePlus to be simultaneously imported on multiple cluster nodes. Importing a ZFS storage pool on multiple cluster nodes will result in pool corruption, which might cause data integrity issues or cause a cluster node to panic.
To avoid this problem, install Solaris 10 patch 139579-02 (for SPARC) or 139580-02 (for x86) immediately after you install 137137-09 or 137138-09 but before you reboot the cluster nodes.
Alternatively, only on the Solaris 10 5/08 OS, remove the affected patch before any ZFS pools are simultaneously imported to multiple cluster nodes. You cannot remove patch 137137-09 or 137138-09 from the Solaris 10 10/08 OS, because these patches are preinstalled on that release.

When i installing Oracle 11gR2 RAC on AIX 7.1 , root.sh succeeds on first node but fails on the second node:
I get error "Root.sh Failed On The Second Node With Error ORA-15018 ORA-15031 ORA-15025 ORA-27041 [ID 1459711.1]" within Oracle installation.

in /dev/rhdiskpower0 does not show in kfod output on second node. It is an EMC multipath disk device.
But the disk can be found with AIX command.

Hello. It looks like I recovered all my keywords attached to photos. What I did:
First I located all photos without keywords using a metadata search.
I found that it seemed to be certain groups of photos that had no keywords. I decided to at least get the main keyword on all of those in a particular group, like Canyonlands.
Once I added one of the keywords, the others all showed up magically! I then went to each group of photos and added the main keyword, and the others came along and attached to the photos.
Don't understand why this occurred or why it got fixed, since it was so random. But, I'm glad to have my keywords restored (I had divided flowers by color, etc. so it was a lot of work!)

How configure a primavera web service to return data from the second database?

We have P6 with first WS deployed on a single server weblogic domain. The first WS return data from the first database instance.
Then deployed advanced second WS on a separate weblogic domain server with a different port. Configured second WS with <WS2_INSTALL_HOME>/bin/dbconfig.sh, creating a new branch of a configuration that specifies a different second instance of the database. However, this configuration is ignored and second web services return data from the first database.
We have one domain, which including next servers:

OK, so I got this to work this morning with Username Token Profile (with little help from Oracle Support).
I followed your steps 1-4 but in step 2 I didn't add the -Ddatabase.instance=2 because I want to check to see if my code could swap between different instances.
It appears for Username Token Profile to use Database Instance, you need to set it in the soap header.
So my soap request looks like this:

Error "no connect to database " after moving group to second node.

hi experts,
I set up ERP2005 SR1 and MSSQL2005 with two nodes MSCS.
I am facing error "no connect to database session terminated mscs" from SAP GUI
after moving group to second node.
Now SPS level and kernel patch level has been not updated yet.
I counld'nt find any sap notes, so any help and suggestion could be appreciated.

i checked the status , asm is able to start on both nodes if not at the same time ,

Is it possible to start ASM on second node with SQL*Plus in NOMOUNT state?

Can't start instance on the second node

I install RAC on Redhat AS 2.1 with LVM.
After run "srvctl start db -d RAC" or "srvctl start instance -d RAC -i RAC2",
the instance on node2 is not running.
The error message say that the instance is already running even I just start RAC2 only. But the RAC1 runs well.
I don't know it is the file system or the environment problem.

I installed Oracle 9ir2 RAC on two RH advance server 2.1. There are some error on creating database, OLAP and ODM.
Starting db instance on node1 is fine, but the second node is not running. Then I install database on the second node
With software only(to get sqlplus to work), and start instance by SQL. I found the SGA is not the same.
To get my SCSI and LVM to work, I recompiler the kernel. Is that possible two different kernel image to make SGA has
Different size? Will the SGA size be the same on Real Application Cluster? I am sure the sem, shmmax have the same
Value on both nodes. How can I change the role of node1 to node2 manually in ocm?

Oracle Grid Infrastructure 11.2.0.2 root.sh hangs in the second node

Hi,
I am installing Oracle Grid Infrastructure 11.2.0.2.0 using VM's. Both the virtual machines are running RHEL 5.7 32 bit version.
Until the point where the installation suggests to run two scripts as root user, everything runs fine.
root.sh runs successfully on the first node.
On the second node it hangs at,
Now product-specific root actions will be performed.

Update failed after switching to nightly channel according to the MDN (Flame)

Good Evening Firefox OS Pro's :)
I just got my new Flame, flashed the base image (http://cds.w5v8t3u9.hwcdn.net/Flame_2.0_v180_1.zip) and the rest (http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/b2g/nightly/latest-mozilla-b2g32_v2_0-flame-kk/) according to the MDN (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox_OS/Developer_phone_guide/Flame#Updating_your_Flame's_software).
The phone boots and everything is working fine. However after executing the steps under the headline "Switch to nightly update channel" I got an update notification, but the update failed to install with the error message: "there was an error while downloading the updates".
Edit: The error message appeared during the "Uncompressing...". After it failed the notification is there again.
So... I noticed that the update channel was nightly-b2g32 before I changed it with the script to nightly. What is the difference between these two? Is nightly the wrong channel for 2.0?

EP starting failed after switching UM datasource to LDAP

I would like to use Windows 2003 AD as user storage of EP. For this purpose, I completed the necessary configuration steps according to online help but still not able to connect EP to LDAP.
Test button show me that parameters entered in the LDAP configuration tab is correct. But once I change the UM datasource to dataSourceConfiguration_ADS_readonly_db.xml and restart the J2EE server. The application server won't start up successfully. It indicated problems with a yellow flag on the server node. Clicking the processes will display that some processes is running. Trace file outlines problem as below:

I dont think, that the problem is directly related with the usage of SSL. We dont use SSL and we have the same problem mentioned in the first post of this topic in our portal. We are using EP7 SP8.
The connection tests in the config-tool and in the UME-configuration of the EP indicates us, that the connection to the LDAP-Server is working correct. But when we are restarting the portal, then the following exception appears and the server stops to start:

Close a first VI after switching to a second VI

OK. I have a request to develop a program that will basically call a first VI and then close it after opening a second VI. I haven't come across doing this before (usually there is a "main" VI at start-up that runs throughout the program).
I am curious if there is a clean way to exit the startup VI with other VIs still open (if they are called asynchronously maybe??).
I am sure I can just Show/Hide the front panels as needed for a work around. But this keeps everything loaded and open, etc. and I am wondering if there is a cleaner way.
To be clear the steps I am trying to accomplish are:
1) Start an application with a Start-Up VI
2) Make some simple user selection and equipment verification
3) Based on the selection, call one of several different VIs and transfer control to it
4) Close the original VI (since it is no longer needed).
5) Close the second VI when the user is finished.

OBIEE Start/Stop Services failed(After LDAP Configuration)

We made some changes(that is we have added new OID
and configured the new OID based upon the Oracle BI security guide which is in Oracle Site
) to the LDAP configuration in OBIEE web console and it prompted for a restart of the OBIEE services . when we tried restarting the services we are not able to stop all the services . Please find the attached log files .

Looks like the config you entered was a tad off. Any chance you can roll back by restoring the original files from before the change?

In the config.xml, inside the <realm> tag yo ushould find your authenticaiton providers and there's two important things for your new one to check:
1.) xsi-type="wls:..." <-- This should be your OID type rather than a generic (or wrong) one
2.) If you're not 100% sure about the config or don't want to immediately shut out native WLS users or want to retain them (both OID and WLS LDAP considered valid), then PLEASE make sure that you run your new authenticator with <sec:control-flag>SUFFICIENT</sec:control-flag> and don't make it REQUIRED since otherwise you won't be able to bring anything up anymore if a single parameter in the authenticator config is off...

Update:
Should have read the error message more carefully...looks like you actually just slipped by one line in the authenticator config and chose "OracleVirtualDirectory" instead of "OracleInternetDirectory" since it tries to use the libOvd rather than the OID one.

I than decise to animate the obects coming into the screen - so initially they are off the stage, and then they animate in.
However once the brief animation has finished, and I try to drag the objects, they do all sorts of things, jump off the stage, or dissappear etc - horrible.
The draggable code is in composition ready, so is the code taking the position of the assest as they are at frame 0 (now off the stage) and not from their resting point at 1.5 seconds?
This is certainly a learning curve!

What it's returning, the value U"\n\t\t", means a Unicode string consisting of a newline and two tabs. That so happens to be exactly what's in your XML file for the one child node in each area-code element. Here's an example from your file:
<--- it's the stuff between here
and here-->
The main thing I puzzled over when looking at your script is how this was working before? Are you sure that's your original script? It might be possible to craft an XPath query to return the first node NAME below an area-code element, but I'm not sure how off the top of my head. You're almost always looking for the contents of a node. What I'd suggest you do, if possible, is use a better XML schema. Something like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
MidWest
NorthEast
West
Which can then be referenced using a simple fast XPath query like this:
/arearoutes/route[@AC='111']
The result would be what you're looking for today in your Switch statement, a simple string "MidWest" or similar. If you're absolutely married to your old XML schema, we can try to help, but do the above if you can. You might also check out the W3 Schools XPath Tutorial.

Since I've uninstalled Light-locker (and LightDM as a dependency) I receive the following error:

Hello everybody when I test "empsecformat" sample web service at the first time, it operates OK, but just pressing "Apply Changes" button, web service fail and returns "Error during evaluation of resource template" message and do not runs anymore.
Then I have to "Reset Sample Data" to recover initial situation

Read the server logs for the current error, concentrating on Apache. That'll usually tell you what isn't working.
Check the Apache configuration file syntax:
apachectl configtest
Verify DNS with the command:
sudo changeip -checkhostname
If you're on a NAT'd network and running local DNS services, stay out of .local and .arpa with the domain you're using, and preferably use a registered domain. If you're NAT'd, don't try to use ISP or Google or other off-network DNS servers, as those do not provide translations for the private-IP-block NAT'd IP addresses you're using.
As for a reset, there's a server setup done file (I don't recall the filename of that off-hand), but I've found removing that file does not reset the entire environment completely and correctly — my usual preferred approach is to set up the new 10.6 server environment, get DNS configured and operating first and only then enable the other necessary services (proper DNS is vital to a stable environment, and incorrect DNS is the trigger for more than a few weird problems with OS X Server), and then migrate over the web files from a backup. That's the most effort, but generates the "cleanest" environment.
Less preferred, but can work: using an external backup of the old OS X Server environment and migrating that data over during the installation of 10.6 is another option, but that can sometimes migrate in the old problems.
