SAP spool printing problem

Hi,
In spool details it is showing copies & pages correctly, but while printing it will print double copies.
e.g. If I will give 2 copies which have 4 pages.It will print 8 pages meant 4 copies.

So, if the spool contains 2 pages numbered 1-2, and you print 2 copies, you should get 1-2-1-2 sequence, but you get 1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2.
1) Am I correct in the sequence, or is it different? Are there blank pages?
2) What happens if you print 1 copy?
The only problem I know happens with AS/400 systems and is corrected --> see note 1158640.
3) Does it solve?
If it doesn't solve, could you tell us what is your customizing:
4) do you print in duplex or special mode?
5) what about the output device: what access method do you use, what device type, what copy counter option?
6) what printer model is it?

I Have one Terminal server - Windwos Server 2003 R2 Standard 32 bit
With SAP Gui 640 Installed along with 33 Patch
When My one User take Print from SAP, spool request generates
But Till the time same user not closing SAP Spool Request from his ID, Other User not able to take print from sap
as no spool request genrates in their login
After closing saplpd.exe from Privious User Login then only, Spool genrates from other user profile
Send me the Procedure for the same
Requirement is every user should able to take print and spool should automaticaly close

Hi , the SAP Gui 640 are out of maintenance long time ... Try to use 7.10 or 7.20 ...
Also about saplpd.exe try to read about method G printing in SAP , this method do not uses the saplpd.exe

SAP Spool Printing

I am attempting to print my Quarterly tax reports. When SAP is asked to batch print multiple documents, it gives me one Windows Print dialog per document rather than one dialog for the entire batch. This is causing the documents to print backwards because each dialog generated covers up the one before it.
Once I generate the reports this is my process,,,,
I use T-code Sp01 to get my listing. I place a checkmark to select the PDFs( say 200 of them) then there is a print box that displays and flashes. I have to keep clicking ok so the reports will print.
Is there a more efficient, cleaner way to print these reports? We are on ECC6 and we implemented EHP4 this past October.

If you want to print all the spool request in one time, your should try:
1) Go to PU19
2) System -> Own Spool Request
3) Find the request, mark the request.
4) Spool Request -> Print -> Direct Processing.

Spool printing problem

Hi Guys,
My spools geting created,suddenly, i have been inundated with spool requests to output device 'BA01'.
what could be the reason for this?

go to T-code SU01..
got to Select Defaults Tab..
check the Printer asigned..if the default printer is set to 'BA01'. change to you rown setting..
if the printer is not 'BA01' then check the program where printer 'BA01' is asigned.

FCHN check register printing problem

Hi
I am trying to print the output from tcode FCHN.
However last line item is not printing.
I am not sure if this is SAP or printer problem. I tried printing from couple of other printers but result is same.
If you are suggesting me SAPD please be specific on what changes to be made.

Error while printing (SAP spool error)

Hi,
I have configured a printer of type 'C : Direct Operating System Call'. On printing a page, an error occurs with the following log entries
SAP spool error log
=====================
Print request processing log
The host spool is reporting errors
Windows/NT error 1775: "A null context handle was passed from the client to the host during a remote procedure call."
Errors occurred processing this print request
Error during print request output. l_rc = 1
There may be no printout
Please. can someone help me out here.

Ok I am upgrading from R/3 46C to ECC 6.0, on the 46c system the printers are configured as follow:
Device type          HPLJ4    : HP Laserjet 4 series
Spool server          sapprod1_PRD_00       sapprod1
Device class          Standard printer
Host spool access method C: Direct operating system call
Host printer

On the ECC 6.0 system the printers are configured as follows:

The 46c system prints just fine, on the ECC 6.0 systems; I can not get the printers to work. I have made sure that the hosts file on the ECC server has the printer host address, and I get the following error back:
SAP spool error log
=====================
Print request processing log
The host spool is reporting errors
Windows/NT error 5 [
srtroot03.startek.com\srt-dc-c4-sharp]: "Access is denied."
Errors occurred processing this print request

There may be no printout
The access to the Printer Host is wide open, what do I need to do to resolve this issue.

1st page is right in print format but in 2nd page the text comes 1 row up...and so on...
so the starting point for all page are not same...

Printing A3 page format using ABAP List from SAP is a problem...

Hi Experts,
I am trying to print a standard output (ABAP List) A3 page size from SAP.
I used SWIN, SAPWIN, I9HP4 device types, but none of them worked.
I created page format type ZYEVMIYE 290MM 420MM and the page format L120, W200. In order to make it usable with page size is A3. Unfortunately this did not work either.
The behaviour of the problem is when I tried to print with the device types that mentioned above then printer indicator comes to an error. And nothing comes out from the printer.
Just to be on the safe side I made a test from windows self test, it resulted success with A3 page size format. So from this point of the view I got a thought that somehow SAP (selected device types) is not able to send correct signal to Printer for page size A3, because on the printer information screen displays load Tray2 for A4 this is showing that SAP sends Printer a signal for page format A4.
I need help on how to make SAP (selected device type) send a correct signal to Printer in order to printout A3 page size format.

At last i got a Solution to my Question.
The Problem is that in my SAP-Code they have been translated the PDF into 255 string.But i am retreiving using 132 string.So, i resolved in this way.

Problem printing when spool print documents is selected as apposed to print direct

I have an officejet 6500 and I'm having a problem printing a label created using Label Factory Deluxe software. The job will not print if spool print documents so that printing finishes faster is selected under the printer properties. The job appears to be sent to the printer. The printer icon appears in the task tray for less than a second and the printer makes a trill sounding beep but nothing prints. In addition there is nothing in the print que. It will print however, if print directly to the printer is selected. Any ideas???

Well with out any info on versions the easiest way is to check the Not Printer Option on in the Page Setup of the Report.

Printing existing PDF-File via SAP-Spool

Hi to all,
I'm looking for a solution to print existing PDF-Files (external Directory) via SAP-Spool, in order to create a set of documents in correct succession, where some of them are created within SAP and others beeing created externally (PDF-Files).
We use NW7.0 and have AdobeDocumentServices activated.
I don't want to create PDF-Files out of SAP-Spool-Requests.

Spool printing undefined character symbols in sap script

Hi,
When I am trying to print a script, the spool print preview shows a times font and the size that I had defined in the form, but when the print is coming out it is coming with a courier font with the default font size of the printer and it is printing a smiley symbol on the start of every line. I have checked the fonts in all the windows of the form and everywhere it says times with a size of 12.
Please help me out

Is that problem only at 1 printer or at all printers.
If it is onlty at 1 specific printer ask the basis guys .

there is problem with purchase order print priview and spool print output are different.
mean : in me23n .. for a perticular po .. in po priview the TAX VALUES value is 120 coming..
when i am giving print with spool.. the amount value is showing TAX VALUE
is 443..why it is showing wrong..
this is for perticular output type.

it is realted script(medruck)...but there is no code point for spool or printer side..
and the issue is realted one PO OUTPUT TYPE..
it is sap standard debugging... when i am debugging the functional module PRICING.
the values are coming dynammically.

Issue in spool printing

I have a program in which I am submitting another program via its selection screen to SAP-POOL and printing the output . something like this:
SUBMIT z_tstpicklist TO SAP-SPOOL
        SPOOL PARAMETERS params WITHOUT SPOOL
        DYNPRO USING SELECTION-SCREEN 1000
                          WITH p_werks = p_werks
                          WITH s_wadat IN s_wadat
                          WITH s_kunnr IN s_kunnr
                          WITH s_vbeln IN s_vbeln
                          WITH r_bar   = r_bar
                          WITH p_rpt   = p_rpt
                         WITH p_pal = p_pal
                         with p_seq = p_seq
                          AND RETURN.
Now the problem is.... the output is being printed, but along with it another page containing the selection parameters of the submitted program is also being printed.
I dont want the selection page to print. How can I suppress it?

The problem is i call a transaction from my program ,And the output of the tansaction should not be displayed.. but should be saved in spool and return to the
called report..(i have acheived this ) but i get a warning message.. how to correct it..

When you add   "WITHOUT SPOOL DYNPRO" , the standard pop up which tells the details like
DESTINATION of the print spool
and when to print ( IMMEDIATELY ) is suppressed
