Hi All,
I am new to SAP SRM 7.0.Could you please let me know that what are all the components needs to be in place to execute the technical scenarios and business scenarios.I had an hands on experience on SAP SRM 5.0 with ECC 6.0 backend.
Some where i read that there are lot of configuration  changes when we integrate SRM 7 with ECC EHP 4.Do we need to have PI 7  for executing Centralized contract and plan driven procurement scenario? Please guide me to have some exposure towards higher version.Thank you in advance.

  • SRM 7 ehp1 with ECC 6 ehp5?

    Gurus,
Is it mandatory to use SRM 7 ehp1 with ECC 6 ehp5? Our client has ECC 6 ehp 4 and is now upgrading from SRM 4 to SRM 7 ehp1. Can you share some links where I can confirm if SRM 7 ehp1 with ECC 6 ehp5 is mandatory?
Also pl let me know what is the difference between shopping cart creation in SRM 4.0 and SRM 7.0 ehp1. SAP says they have changed something and made it more user friendly. Is it different from normal SRM 7 (without the ehp component?)

    Hi,
There are 3 ways of sending PO from SRM to ECC
1.Via - RFC ( by setting the system landscape to a lesser version ) it will not have any side effects just that it used RFC connections instead of ESOA
2.Via PI - by setting  the landscape to the current version and configure the relevant XML services in the SOAMANGER
    3. via Non PI Web Services- by setting the landscape to current version . This time the webservices are configured in SRM system itself.
I have configured transfer of Contracts from SRM 7.01 to ECC 6.5 EHP5 as Contract/ Scheduling Agreement to the backend with Non PI Web Services(via XML). This way we didnt have to install PI at the client place which saved them a lot.
I have written a blog on how to transfer central contracts from srm to ecc using web services but without PI , please find the link below and hope it is helpful.

    HI
    Need to do following
    1. Keep conidtion types in ECC & SRM same for contract.
    2. Also Add message types BLAORD & COND_A manually in ECC in WE20.
    Then only it works

    Hi
Go through the section  "Business Package for SAP SRM"  on help.sap.com for SRM application help. Refer to the master guide/business scenario config guides on SRM at service.sap.com/srm-inst
For standard iViews, installing the BUsiness Package for SRM and manual registration of UWL in Portal is good enough for setting up EP for SRM

  • SAP Cloud For Customer With ECC Integration Material Replication Content Error

    Hi Experts,
When i replicate the Material from ECC to Cloud With Sale Org Data if getting error as shown below.
When we are replicate the Material without Sales Org Data its working but when we pass the data with Sales Org it gives error .
Errors reported by application: "Activation not permitted; cross-process category missing", "Error while processing inbound third party communication"
and the Payload for this error attached in the file
Kindly anyone have idea about this error share your inputs.
    Many Thanks
    Mithun

    Hello Mithun,
The reason for this error is in the definition of the Material in the Cloud:
For the Sales data it is required that a product category is assigned to the Material.
This product category must belong to a product category hierarch with the category code "Cross-Process".
This is not required for the basic data i.e. without the Sales data.
Therefore you can transfer the Material data w/o Sales data and no error occurs.

  • SAP BW 3.5 with ECC 5.0 Installation Instructions Needed

    All BW Experts,
I would like to install the trial version of SAP BW 3.5 and IDES (ECC 5.0) on my Windows 2003 Server. I would really appreciate if anyone can send me the installation instructions to my email id: [email protected] . • Sourcing integration with ECC using PI (percentage rebate scenario)

    Hi Experts,
    Sourcing - OP 7
ECC - configurations done for rebate conditions as mentioned in standard configuratin guide
    PI - SP02 patch 0
We are publishing percentage rebates in Master agreement from sourcing to ECC to create Online Agreement using standard predelivered content for PI from SAP, however ECC returns error in RFC response mentioning
No currency code found for ISO code P1 in field HEADER_CONDITION/CURRENCY_ISO
I checked PI content & I see for % rebates, field HEADER_CONDITION/CURRENCY_ISO is always populated in PI with P1.
What are the next steps to be done in ECC or in PI to overcome the mentioned error.
Any pointers will be appreciated, Thanks.

    Hello Jeet,
I would suggest to check first that in both your SAP ERP and SAP Sourcing an ISO Code P1 for percentage exists. Further I would check if a rebate with an absolute amount works fine (also create multiple amounts and check if a scale is created in ERP, just to ensure that it works in general). E.g. check if the price condition/condition type exists and is configured correctly in ERP.
If that all looks good you might want to check the ERP transaction BBP_ES_ANALYZE. I recently created a SDN blog about some tips and tricks, it also explains this transaction, please see ERP integration with SAP Sourcing – tips and tricks Maybe the error message(s) in this transaction will help you to better understand what is going on.
    Hopes that will help you

  • Integrating with SAP SRM 4.0

    Hi all,
I'm currently involved in an e-procurement project that will have to integrate SAP SRM 4.0 with the EAI solution of our company (webMethods).
As I don't know much about SRM 4.0 technology, I'd like to know the standard way of integration with SRM 4.0:
    - Is SRM 4.0 capable of exposing IDocs?
    - Is SRM 4.0 capable of invoking BAPIs?
    - If so, how can a Purchase Order put into the arguments of the BAPI?
    - Is SRM 4.0 compelled to talk with XML messages (particularly SOAP XI) or are IDocs and BAPIs a suitable solution?
    - Is SRM 4.0 standard output xCBL?
    - Can SRM 4.0 expose and invoke Web Services natively?
In other words, I'd like to know whether we are obliged to use the XI Content of SRM 4.0 in order to integrate with webMethods. We have already done integration with R/3 4.6 and we used IDocs with the SAP Adapter. We would like to capitalize on our previous experience and save us from having to assess the feasibility of an integration with SRM via XI.
Thank you in advance for all your answers.
    Regards,
    /ML

    Hi Marcel,
Underlying technology is WAS (Web Application Server) which is an enhanced version of the middleware BASIS technology used by 46C. XI is a replacement for messaging platforms like webmethods, so if you are using webmethods with SAP adaptor you don't need to use XI because you are already using a messaging platform. Only reason you may want to use XI would be if you can build upon the XI content available to you. If you are not interested in the XI content then go ahead and use webmethods using SAP adaptor to connect to SRM. I don't see any problem in that.

  • SRM 7.0 EHP1 integartion with ECC

    HI,
We are currently using EHP4 of ECC and upgraded our SRM system from 5.0 to EHP1.
What is the min version reqt for integration SRM 7.0 EHP1 with ECC??
I read somehere that SRM 7.0 EHP1 cannot be integarted with ECC lower than EHP5?can someone confirm?

    Hi Ricardo,
    Thanks for the response!
It is recommended to have SRM 7.01 with ECC EHP4 (at least) to get the maximum advantage of integration part of SRM and ECC system. With these combination, you can create central contract via ESOA services and distribute the contract to R/3 backend system.
    -->By SRM 7.0 .1 do you mean SRM 7.0 EHP1?
Can you also confirm if all features of ECC EHP4 are part of EHP5?(EHP4 is subset of EHP5)
We are currently on  SRM 7.0 and are planning to upgrade to EHP1.However on the ECC side,we have all business functions needed in both EHP4 and EHP5.Considering this, would it be advisable to anyways upgrade SRM to EHP1?
Also by upgrading to EHP1,my undesratanding is that we only activate the scenario specific switches in the system..is that true?
    Please advise.

  • SRM Sync with ECC

    HI Everyone,
We are using Classic Approach and the SRM is integrated with ECC. Now we have a problem after doing client copy. We have done client copy only for Quality from PRD in ECC and not for SRM PRD to quality. So there is no proper sync between the SRM Quality and ECC quality. Hence the integration is not proper and the documents are not generated in the ECC quality.
Please guide me the procedure of how to sync the ECC with SRM qualtiy.
    Thanks.
    Siva

When system is copied from other systems all Logical systems and RFCs will be pointing to the old system. You need to run T-code BDLS for changing the Logical systems to the current systems. Then delete all master data like Material groups, Materials master, Vendors and then re replicate. This should solve your issue.
    Thanks,
    Jagadish

  • Passing custom field in contract in SRM to contract in ECC

    Hi,
We are using SRM 7.0 with ECC 6 (no EHP). We're planning to use central contract distributed with IDOCs. Our contract in ECC has custom field added in the header. We have tried and successfully pass the contract from SRM to ECC (using IDOC BLAORD03 and COND_A).
I know we can create custom field in contract in SRM, but how to pass the value in the custom field in SRM contract to custom field in ECC contract? Do we need to edit IDOC BLAORD03? Is it possible?
    Best regards,

  • SAP SRM & BW

    Hi Experts,
I am pretty new to this forum. How does SRM interacts with SAP BW? It there a BW system embedded in SRM (like i.e. SAP SCM APO or CRM). Or do we need a separate BW system for reporting?
    Kind regards
    Aban

Yes . BW is a separe application server .
SRM and BW connected via RFC.
You can use this business scenario to analyze the expenditure of your company incorporating data from a wide range of heterogeneous systems as well as from all relevant business units and areas.
SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SAP SRM) uses the business intelligence features of SAP NetWeaver to access connected systems and extract the information needed to gain insight into spending practices across the entire corporate group. The reports cover spending for direct and indirect material as well as for services. You can also configure your system to provide the following:
Capture of spend for procurement documents without any purchase order (PO) reference or other detailed information about the procurement
Harmonization of master data for reporting purposes, allowing for identification of duplicate suppliers and assignment of product to standard classification schemas such as the United Nations Standard Products and Services Code (UNSPSC) and eCl@ss. The harmonization can be done by using SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence (SAP NetWeaver BI) Local Master Data Alignment (for limited data volumes).
With these features, SAP SRM provides you with a clear view of procurement costs and supply-base data by highlighting consolidated spend volume, supplier redundancies, and demand aggregation opportunities.
    Prerequisites
You can implement this business scenario with different releases of the relevant application components. However, only certain combinations are valid. For more informations, see
SAP SRM Master Guide on SAP Service Marketplace at http://service.sap.com/instguides

  • Reports in SAP SRM

The client I am working with is on SAP SRM 7.01 with a standalone scenario. Only when the invoice is posted and 3-way match is done, the follow-on documents are created in SAP. This is severely limiting the client to run reports in SAP SRM for day to day use.
The client wants to run the following reports:
Report 1: A report that shows the following columns and can be run in SRM GUI.
Company Code, PO #, Line #, Ordered Quantity, Unit Price, UOM, Received Quantity, Invoiced Quantity
Report 2: A report that shows the following columns and can be run in SRM GUI.
Company Code, Invoice #, Supplier Name, WBS/Cost Center #, Invoice Amount, Invoice Create Date, Invoice Status
Also, the client wants to extend these reports and create new ones based on the requirements.
Any ideas on how to create these reports are welcome.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Kartikeya dixit,
    Thanks for your reply.
    My Scenario is like this..
    1.Selection Criteria Screen
    1.1 RFQ number : xxxxxxxxxx
    1.2 From Date : xx/xx/xxxx To Date : xx/xx/xxxx
2.Based on the input criteria given above, get the details from FM bbp_pd_bid_getdetail for the rfq numbers given above for object_type=”BUS2200” and process_type = “RFQU”.
3.Get the RFQ number, Created At i.e. object_id and created date.
    4.Item details can be obtained
5.Bidder details can be obtained for partner_fct=”00000018”.From table BUT000 the fields partner, name_org1 can be obtained to print the Supplier code and supplier name.
6.The RFX response details can be obtained using FM BBP_PD_QUOT_GETDETAIL to get the total value for the items in the rfx response.
The object type to be selected is BUS2202 and process type = QUOT
7.Display summation of the values for each supplier has to be displayed for each supplier.
Can you help me what to do ....
